The Amazing Race Australia (2011–…): Season 6, Episode 8 - Leg 8 (Türkiye) - full transcript

Teams take on a Turkish wrestler and make a traditional Evil Eye bead, before a detour sees them opt for learning a traditional dance or rolling Mesir paste. Who will make it to the pit stop in time?

Previously
on The Amazing Race Australia...

..teams arrived in the
transcontinental country of Turkiye.

And yeah!

Angel and Frankie hit the mat
for their third win.

Whoo!

But sadly...
Leave the doggie.

..Crystal and Reem were eliminated.

It's been amazing.
Yeah.

I'm proud of you.
I'm proud of you too.

Let's go.
Let's go.

Tonight...

..things get physical.

It was Turkish Hulk.

Go, girl!
Go, go, go!

But will a simple mistake...

Are you gonna carry your bags?
Nah.

..Be the end for one team?

I burnt my hand.

Do you still wanna continue?

This is The Amazing Race Australia.

Well, here I am stuck in my hotel
room quarantining in Greece.

Unfortunately, it's the same story
for two of our teams.

They will not be competing
in this leg

and they will return to the race
when they finish their quarantine.

Now, apparently, there was a few
kinks last leg with my replacement.

Welcome to Izmir.
Welcome to Izmir. Welcome to Izmir.

So I made a call to one of
my good mates, Scott Tweedie,

who is right now on his way

across the world

to meet the teams at the Pit Stop
in Turkey

and he's gonna fill in
in my size 16 shoes.

Our 12 remaining teams

have awoken today in Izmir

on the edge of the Aegean Sea.

When it was under the rule
of the Ottoman Empire,

this city was considered the gateway
between Asia and Europe.

And it's from Izmir clocktower that
our teams will be heading inland,

across Turkey's Aegean region,

on the 8th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.

Rip.
Ah!

"Make your way to your marked car.

"Use the Navigator app
on the phone provided

"to look up
the following coordinates."

Let's go.

I don't know how to use coordinates.

Let's go!

The remaining 12 teams
are departing in the order

they arrived
at the previous Pit Stop.

Do you want me to drive?
I've got it.

Oh, it's an auto!

They're heading to Kimiz Farm

just outside the small village
of Nazarkoy,

where they'll receive
their next clue.

Please enter your destination.

Hello?

Leave it. Don't shake it.

We've won a few legs now,
so we want to just keep that pace.

Hopefully finish in first place...
First place... again.

In 500 metres,
stay in the left-hand lane.

I don't know how people did it,
like, before our generations

that didn't have phones
and used maps to get everywhere.

Yeah, that's auto, I think.

Vinny, keys.

How did Tammy and Vinny
get ahead of us?

Open it.
I don't know how.

Stay in the left two lanes.
Alright.

Chelsea's coming up on the left.

Chelsea's a hothead.

Get the phone going, Jamus.
I'm trying.

I don't know how to put
the coordinates in.

This is your time
to be good at technology.

It can't always be me.

Ahhh! Wrong side!
Oh!

You're driving?
Yeah.

OK, let's go.

OK, where's our car?

Today we're last.

It's gonna be a bit tough
and we have to be mindful of that.

Please enter your destination.

I wonder how I'm gonna put
these coordinates in.

Alright!

You have arrived
at your destination

Kimiz, Ciftligi.

Ooh! Shoot!
- Oh, donkeys!

Let's try and keep our pace up...

Yep.
..So we can stay in first place.

Let's get it!
What the actual...

What is this place?
Yew!

Oil wrestling was introduced
into Turkiye

under the Seljuk Empire
in the 11th century

and today it's considered
Turkiye's national sport.

In this challenge,
teams must work together

to wrestle a Turkish oil wrestler

and get one of the wrestler's
body parts out of the ring.

And if they can't do it
within the 3-minute time limit,

they must join the back of the queue
before making their next attempt.

Once they succeed,
they'll receive their next clue.

Go to the changing room.

There's costumes
with our names on them.

Let's go.
Yep.

At least we got to the right place.

I actually put the
coordinates in properly for once.

Come on, Jamus!

I need to get undies.
I'm not wearing any.

Alright!
Let's go do some wrestling!

Let's get it!

So when I found out
we had to get oiled up,

I was like, "Oh, no, I think
I'll let him take one for the team."

I just washed my hair last night.
Love that.

What's the rules?

"You must get a body part to cross
over the line of the circle."

You can do it, Frankie!

Oh! Oh, my God!

Just push him.
Just try and push him.

Careful, Frankie.
Just think about it.

Take your time.

Oh, look!

Slip off... slip off of him

and go around the other side
and push him out.

That's it, Frankie.

Time.

Go to the back of the line.

We could possibly lose first place.

Let's go.

Quick, quick, quick!

The oiling was fun.
It felt sensual.

"Yeah, this is gonna be fun,"
and then we looked...

And it was Turkish Hulk.

- Go, girls!
- Go for the legs!

Go for the legs!

- Go, girls!
- Go, girls!

Go, go, go!

We can't even move ours
an inch!

Go, hon!

Go, babe. Just push. Push.

We both do it.
You want me in too?

Yeah.

In the second attempt, we realised
I should be in there helping him.

It's so cold!

Go, Chels! Go! Go!

I was not getting involved.

Between those two, I'm like, "There's
nowhere for me to go safely."

So I just didn't stand in the way.

Push him off the line!

Push him!

Oh! Oh!

His hand went out!
His hand went out.

Yah! Yah!
Body part out.

He's out. Get him out.

Yes!
Yes!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Come on.

Yes! We did it!

Got his foot out.
He got his foot.

Wassup, baby?

Yes!
Yeah! Whoo-hoo-hoo!

I was very proud of you,
just to do that so fast.

The islander came out of me
and, yeah, I killed it.

Ohhh!
OK.

"Road Block.
Who has an eye for detail?"

A Road Block is a challenge
only one team member must complete

based on a cryptic clue.

Yassou. Room service.
Yes, it's Beau again.

Can I please get
one piece of baklava,

two pieces of spanakopita,

wedge it in the middle
and then cover it in...

Yes. Yes! Thank you.

The nazar boncuk, or 'evil eye',

is an ancient talisman used in
Turkiye to ward off evil spirits.

Handmade of glass,

it features three concentric circles
in dark blue, white and light blue.

In this Road Block,
teams must travel to Nazarkoy,

the village of the evil eye,

and make their own evil eye talisman.

The team member will present the
finished eye to the master craftsman

to receive their next clue.

It's your turn.
OK.

Who has an eye for detail? Well,
we all know who does here - me.

This feels good!

Can we have more boys in the circle?
Can it be longer than three minutes?

We could have taken a bit more time.

"Who has an eye for detail?"
You've got an eye for detail.

How does it feel to touch abs
for the first time in 10 years?

"Who has an eye for detail?"

You do!
Alright. Let's go, girl.

So am I turning right here?
Yep.

Nazarkoy.

You have arrived
at your destination.

Alright, let's go.

Yeah, we gotta make up some time,
eh? 'Cause they caught up.

See the eyes?

Yeah. Yeah, dark blue,
white, light blue.

Yeah.

Oh, here! There are two workshops.

Which one do you want?
Just find the closest one.

Just here.
Workshop 1.

So the next challenge was to create
an evil eye out of glass.

You've got this, Frankie.

Wowzers!

What the...?!

We had a guide teaching us
how to do it.

In this fire pit thingy, he had
to kind of pull out the glass,

then flatten it out.

But it had to be dark blue
on the outside, white in the middle,

and then light blue.

What?

OK.

Oh, there we go.

OK.

I don't think it's meant
to look like this.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

You have arrived
at your destination.

Let's go!

Here, here.
Yeah.

Good driving, babe.

They told us
to put in coordinates,

but I actually don't know
how to do it.

Where are we?

Did you put in the name?
Yeah.

But it took us
three different places.

We keep going
in the wrong direction.

Then we're gonna be
really stuffed.

Enjoy the music.
I know.

Shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy.
Whoo!

The first challenge today
was we had to knock

a Turkish wrestler
out of his circle.

Yep.
But we had to be oiled up as well.

Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo!
You're a bit of a tank.

He was probably as tall as Heath,
but a shitload more muscular.

Hey! What are you trying to say?

Argh!

Arrrgghh! Argh!

Get out! Get out!

Whoo-hoo-hoo!

Thank you, sir.

"Road Block."
"Road Block."

"Who has an eye for detail?"
I do.

Ready? Go!

Our motto's one and done.

We hate going for a second time.

You got it, Flicka, Gabba!

Oh!

I got really hard body slammed,
so I'm in pain.

I'm angry. And I said,
"I'm getting him out!"

Go, girls! Go, Gab!

Yes, you go him!

We nailed him out.

See ya, Turkish Hulk.

Alright.
"Who has an eye for detail?"

That's you. Let's go.
Let's go.

Do we need to find out
how to put the coordinates in?

Gas station.
Pull in here for a second.

Hello! Can you help? Do you know
how to put coordinates in?

Yes.
Ahhh!

Thank you very much! Lovely.
Thank you.

1.7 kilometres?

Very nice Turkish men.

They were very sweet.

Alright.

So we've got the Road Block
and we had to make a bead.

That's exactly
what I was thinking of.

Oh!
They're everywhere.

See, look at them -
blue, white, blue.

Here! Workshop 2.
Closer the better.

Hello!

Hello!

Oh, wow!

You've got... this stick.

Let's go!

You've got this!

So...
Where did he get that bit from?

That's what I'm thinking.
It's in there, I think.

In there? Has he got
different colours in there?

It all looks the same colour to me.

So I'm trying to figure out
which colour's which.

This must be white here.

And then light blue.
This must be this one.

Getting it the way
it's meant to look is really...

Oh, I just broke it!
And now it's all falling apart.

Oh! It just keeps breaking.

I wonder if it's, like, these things
we're making?

That looks really hard.
It's not easy.

Oh, my God.

Th wrestler, it was
a broad-shouldered guy.

So that was intimidating.

Yeah, ready for the Shaq Attack!

This guy just... I think
was a little surprised

this tiny little Asian girl
was able to be that strong!

"Road Block.
Who has an eye for detail?"

I'm gonna do the Road Block.

Let's go wrestle
some oily Turkish men.

I don't care how muscly and
tough these Turkish oily men are.

But no-one's gonna mess with these
really hot, sexy dragon boat mamas.

Exactly.
Look out.

There is no tiny one!

Yow!

Thank you.

"Who has an eye for detail?"
I do. I got it.

I have more an eye for detail.
Yeah.

I do.

Oh, there's oil in my eye.

Workshop 1 or Workshop 2?
2!

It's all about the technique, right?

Vinny!

Let's go.

Hello.

Go, BB!

I think I know what he's doing.
And then he tapped it... Oh.

Oh!

It melts really quickly.

Workshop 2. Go, Flicka.

So he gets it out there...

Flick's in there, who I chose.
She loves evil eyes so much.

I've never heard
of them before!

We have. I've got one on. Look.
Ahhh!

Chelsea gives me it all the time.

Ahh, that's what it's called?
It's an evil eye.

This is killing me.

Oh, should I just get a check?

Come here.

This one?

Oh, damn.

I hope this is not the one
that kinda puts us behind.

Currently, Angel & Frankie,

Chelsea & Jamus

and Pako & Mori are leading the pack,

with Lauren & Steph

and Jodie & Claire at the bottom.

But as we know, in this race,

anything could still happen.

Go, Lauren! Quick! Quick!

Good enough.

"Who has an eye for detail?"
Yeah, I'll do it.

Oh, this is cruel.

We're absolutely last, yeah.
We're 20 minutes behind.

But you know what?
We don't give up.

And we don't let it get to us.

OK, let's get him. You ready?

I gotta make my dad proud.

He's a rugby boy! Come on!

My dad's a rugby player and he's
always said go for the legs and head.

Yay!

"Who has an eye for detail?"
You do.

I'm feeling very oily and moist.

Oh, there we go.

I've got the idea.

Thank you. Thank you.

How'd it go?
Nah.

"Detour.

"Street procession
or sweet obsession."

A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this Detour,

teams must travel
to the historic town of Kula,

one of the only surviving
Ottoman towns of the Aegean region.

They must then take part
in the local Mesir Macunu Festival,

which celebrates
the beginning of spring.

At the height of the festival,

thousands of people
gather at the mosque

to catch a locally made treat -

mesir paste sweets,

said to bring good luck.

In Sweet Obsession,
teams will re-create this.

One team member will wrap
mesir paste sweets

and toss them over their shoulder
from the balcony.

Below, the second team member
will be ready to catch

using an upturned umbrella.

Once the team has caught 50 sweets,
they'll receive their next clue.

Turkiye has a rich history
of parades and celebrations,

with folk dance at its centre.

And the Mesir Macunu Festival
is no different.

In Street Procession,

teams must dress
in traditional attire

and learn the yaren dance,

the local folk dance of Kula.

Once they are confident,

they must then perform it in a parade
under the watchful gaze of the judge.

When the judge is happy
with their performance...

..they'll receive their next clue.

Now, my dilemma is,
am I gonna watch Greek 'MasterChef'

or 'Zorba's Big Fat Greek Wedding'?

I reckon do the dance.
Yeah, we're good at that.

Yew! Ahh!

Don't! You're dirty!

I feel like I... I had the technique
just before.

Just need to keep it going.

Sir, can I have a check?

Yes! Thank you so much.

Bit of a wonky eye, like me,
which I have. It did the job.

It'll do.

Did you just break it?

No. I've got it.

Let's go, let's go!
Thanks, guys!

Sweet Obsession. I'm not dancing.

I can't dance.
OK. OK.

Is that passable?

Yay! Thank you very much!

That was so hard.
- Yes, Queen, you did it!

Let's just learn the local dance.

I think I'm going OK.
I don't know.

To be honest, I didn't realise
it was actually made this way,

so I'm truly appreciating
the piece now.

How does this look?

Thank you!

Oh, my God, it's hot in there!

Sweet Obsession. We'll do this.

It has to be up here.

Keep running. Let's run.

Hey, guys!
Hey, guys.

How's it going?

Are you watching this bloke?

'Cause he gets a chunk
and uses that flat thingy

and then he cuts it down...

Oh! I just smashed mine.

As your stuff cools more,
it's less gel-ly.

Alright, where are we going?
Keep going?

Straight. We're in first place.

What does this say?
Kula.

We're getting there.

Someone's here.

They caught up.
- Is that Frankie and Angel?

We're at the front
of the pack.

Tones, we're in a good position here.

Don't get left behind.

Oh! Sorry.

During this Road Block
of making the evil eye,

we had to make this bead
with three layers on it.

Check, please!

No? OK, I'll keep going.

Not quite enough, I think.

The material cooled down
really quickly

and so it was very difficult
to mould

and it was bloomin' frustrating.

Check, please!

No?

Oh, my God, guys, I just tried twice.

I just don't know how
he gets this around.

Oh!

The whole thing's quite intricate.

I'm not very intricate.
I'm a bit rough.

You're feeling a bit dirty,

my rings were, like, getting hot.

I could have taken them off,
but... the style.

Check.

Yes! Thanks, mate.

Can I please get a check?

Yay! Thank you so much.

"Detour. Street Procession..."

"..or Sweet Obsession."

You wanna dance? Let's go.
Yeah.

Let's do the dance.
You're good at dancing.

Alright, let's go.

Straight nine kilometres.

I'm glad that we get,
like, our drives as well

so it does actually give us a chance
to have a look around and...

Drive around
and have a look at Turkey.

That cannot be safe, man.
Nah.

As long as there's a string there,
it's fine.

You are now arriving in Kula.

Oh, look at this little city.

Ottoman town of Kula.

At the centre of Kula,

our teams will find themselves

amongst more than
3,000 historical buildings

dating back to the height
of the Ottoman Empire.

Straight down or...
I think down here.

Are you sure?
Yeah.

This is hectic.

They can laugh as much as they want.

As long as I don't hit anything,
that's all that matters.

Ooh!

Are we in the spot now?

It's coming up now.

You have arrived
at your destination.

Alright, let's go, Spankie.

Here?

Route recalculating.
What?

"Park your car
in the parking area."

How do we know
what the parking area is?

I just wanna find a car park. I'm
starting to get really worked up.

Route recalculating.

Come this way.

Hi, guys.
Hi, guys.

Hey.

Make bead, yes!

That way?
The blue... blue door.

Blue door?

Today, we've been behind
everybody else.

Knowing that there's still teams
at that challenge

really did make me feel like
I've got this.

I need to have the dark blue
on the outside, I know that much.

Ohhh! Just trying to keep
my frustration in check.

Tammy, take a deep breath.
Calm blue ocean.

That looks pretty good.

Can I get a check, please?

Yes!

Alright, we're going
Sweet Obsession.

Legend, mate! Legend!

Can I please get a check?

Oh, yes, Kelly, I got it!

Oh, yeah!

So you want to do the sweets
rather than dancing?

Yeah.
Good job. I'm really proud of you.

Go on, Tammy, you got this!
Calm blue ocean.

I know. Calm blue ocean.

It was definitely tough knowing that
we had dropped further in the pack.

Check, please.

Yes! Thank God!

Vincent, ready the horses!

Don't quit your day job
and don't become a jeweller.

I think that's what it tells me.

We're doing Street Procession.
Yeah.

I'm sorry, Vinny,
that took me so long.

Oh, it's OK.

Route recalculating.

I'm just gonna find a park
up here somewhere. We can walk.

Route recalculating.

You are 2km from your destination.
We're four minutes away from here.

Trekking.
Huh?

Is there where you wanna park?
Yeah, stuff it. Who gives a crap?

Lock the car.
Are we gonna carry our bags?

Nah.

Do you think there was
a closer parking area?

Yeah, I think we're just
a little bit far out.

This is the most unsafe road
I've ever driven on in my life.

You've got cement boulders
in the middle.

Pack of lemons
in between two scooters.

A scooter with three people on it.

OK, just driving
over a big wooden thing there.

It's supposed to be straight, yeah.

Holy shit.

And then maybe left...
left down there?

We heard the band.

At least we're going
in the right direction.

Oh, here.

OK, we have to pick our outfits.
Oh!

Oh, this is so cool.
I know. I love it!

We put these awesome costumes on.
Loved those.

Oh, it's too small!
Too small.

"Carefully watch a demonstration of
the yaren dance that you must learn.

"The performance consists of dancing
through a route of streets

"with the yaren dancers and band."

Are you watching this, Frankie?

Ohh! What?

When he first started
to do the dance,

I was literally, like, freaking out.

Oh, my God.

Toni, I think
that's the dancing.

Shall we just do dance?
Yeah. We're here.

We're here?
Let's just do it.

We usually always nail
these dancing ones.

This looks fun.
This looks fun!

Thank you.
Let's learn, Flicka.

Is that it here? Here!

What? Oh, yeah, good.
Good work, honey.

We went out to the sweets
and it was just us there.

I thought we might be able to
get through this quickly.

Do you want me to wrap these sweets?

Or do you want to catch them?

You wrap and I'll catch.
OK.

"Take your place upstairs
on the second floor

"where you'll roll your paste
into sweet wrappers".

"Catcher, you must pick up
an umbrella and wait at the bottom."

Thank you!
Thank you.

Alright, I'm wrapping.
How many do you have to roll?

50. You're gonna catch
these wrappers.

I'm gonna do a few practice runs.

You ready?
Yep.

Hon, what are you doing?
You went way off.

Just let... Just drop...
No, no, you gotta walk around.

So wherever this lands, you should
try and catch it with the umbrella.

OK, I'll keep trying.

Hon.

OK, got it round.
And it might stay hot.

Then I quickly...

Ooh, that's the best circle one
I've had yet.

Wrong end. Shit. That hurt.

I burnt my hand.

You need a medic?

That whole black thing is the burn.

Are you OK?

Oh, she's not OK.

Oh, she's not OK.
Oh, I was just trying to focus.

And I dropped the whole stick
and I just picked the stick up,

but I picked the wrong end up.

Do you still want to continue?

What happened?

Oh, I just picked the stick up,
but I picked the wrong end up.

Should I go in and make it?
I'll be alright.

It was more of a fright
than anything.

I just gotta keep going
'cause I need to finish my eye

'cause I need to get the next clue.

And I'm charging on
like a good dragon boater would.

OK, you gotta get it round
on your thing. Is that an eye?

Thank you.

Thank you very much. Thank you.

Oh, it's just like toasting
marshmallows. Check, please.

OK.

Thank you.

And that's an evil eye.

It's very evil
and it looks like an eye.

Excuse me.

Oh, thank you so much!

Thank you, thank you.

"Make your way to the Ottoman town
of Kula..."

Get the new directions in.
You did a great job.

Whoo!
This cold wind doesn't help, eh?

Nah.

MEDIC:

It's just stinging, you know.

You with us?
Yes, I'm still with you.

You good?
Yes.

I'm good.
Good.

It's a Detour.

"Street Procession
or Sweet Obsession."

OK.

Whoo!

Yew!

We love dancing.
We do TikToks all the time.

Three, two, one.

Turn. Turn.

Today I really felt
and embraced the culture.

You know, we're in these outfits
and we're in these cool streets.

Everyone was just so,
like, in a vibe.

Yew!
Yay!

Loved it. We were in our zone.
So good.

Yay!
Yay!

Thank you.

It was actually harder
than I thought.

Yeah!

"Make your way on foot
to Gentlemen's House,

"locally known as Beyler Evi,
to find the next Pit Stop.

"Hurry! The last team to check in
may be eliminated."

OK, let's go!

Nestled within the town of Kula,

the Beyler Evi, or Gentlemen's House,

is a perfectly preserved example
of an 18th-century residence,

typical of the Aegean region,

making it the ideal Pit Stop location

for the 8th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.

And here comes Scotty right now,
just in time.

Beau-ey!

Scotty, how are you, brother?

I absolutely loved flying 32 hours
to help a mate out

on one of the greatest shows on TV.

I'm not gonna lie to you,
Channel 10 said, "Who do you want?"

And we all agreed Dr Chris Brown.

But he's on holidays
for a couple of weeks

and I said,
"Well, mate, Scott Tweedie."

Hey, mate.

Thank you so much, brother.
I owe you and I'll speak to you soon.

See ya!

You are now arriving in Kula.

And it is saying on the car
that it's three degrees,

so I guess it is 'cooler'.

- The car park's on the right.
- So let's just park here.

Alright, let's go.

Thank you so much! Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you.

There's no bags here!

Oh, no, Jamus is here.

Hello!

Twist, twist? Twist, twist.

Can you do that?
Yeah, it's rolling a twisty lolly.

How are you doing?
Go, go, go, go!

Yeah, good.

Jamus, if you're counting, you should
have been counting from the start.

I'm just counting. Just wait.

So you've got no idea how many
I've thrown into your umbrella.

Hey, the girls! Hey!
Hey, guys.

Second floor.
OK.

What do I do?
Gotta work fast.

Hey, girls.
How are you, Jodes?

Oh, how cool.
I feel like Mary Poppins.

Thank you!

Ohh!
- Oh, God.

Ready, Heath?
Yeah.

I'm pretty uncoordinated.
Yeah.

But I like to make a fool of myself.

Dance like no-one's watching.

Once you got
the rhythm of the feet,

it wasn't too bad.

But you had to, like, really focus.

I'm, like, going around.
Let's see.

Hey!

I think we did OK.
Don't know if we got it.

Yay!

Thank you, my friend. Thank you!

Whoo!

Yay!

Whoo!
Whoo!

Let's do it.

"Make your way on foot
to the Gentleman's House

"and find the next Pit Stop."

Let's go!

- Let's go!
- Ready?

Go!
OK.

Whoo-hoo-hoo!
You think that's it?

Yeah.
OK!

Hopefully it's not island counting.

46, 47,

48, 49, 50!

Yay!

Good job, baby.
Wassup, baby!

Thank you so much! Yee-hee-hee!

"Make your way on foot
to the next Pit Stop.

"Hurry! Last team to check in
may be eliminated."

Beyler Evi?
- Yeah.

Right?

Oh, jeez, which way?

Beyler Evi?
No. Beyler Evi.

All the way.
All the way.

This guy's showing us.

Here.

OK, shoes off
before we go up the stairway.

Watch your head, Frankie.

Oh!
Ready? Three, two, one, go.

Welcome to Kula.

Thank you.
Thank you.

My name's Scott and this is Hussein.

He's a local.
I flew in to help Beau out.

Wow.
Oh!

Angel, Frankie,

you are the first team to check in!

Oh, my gosh! Yes!
Oh, no way.

Three wins for you guys. Two in
a row. You feeling that momentum now?

It's actually four.

Four wins?
- Yeah.

Beau didn't tell me that
on the phone. Four wins!

We're just improving
every single time.

We're getting better.

The good news,
you can get the oil off,

have a warm shower,
wash your hair again.

Yes! Thank you.
Thank you.

Congratulations, guys. Put it there.
Thank you so much.

Well done.
Thank you.

Use conditioner!

Number one, baby! So happy.

Yes! OK.

Come on, come on!
Yeah!

I almost fell over.

Heath and Toni, you are...

..the second team to check in.
Yes!

That's awesome!

You know who loves dancing? Hussein.

Can you dance?
Can you show some moves?

I wish I knew what he said.

- Man!
- Watch his feet. Yeah.

Hey!

I have two left feet.

Most of the time I'm falling over

and I don't know where my feet are
or where I am.

Just so unco and awkward.

Whoo!

Ohhh. OK, alright.
OK. That's OK.

Whoo!
Yeah!

Yeah!
That's better now.

Ha!

Whoo!

Yay!

That was so cool!

Yes!

Yay!
Yay!

Thank you!
Thank you!

I'll remember you forever.

Thank you!

Whoo-hoo!

Yes!

No. Oh, my God.

I need a moment. I'm so frustrated.

Tammy,
if you're feeling frustrated,

do you just wanna go
to the other Detour?

Huh? I just need to know
you can get this on this next one.

Coming up...

Didn't say bring them.
Every single time.

No.
Every single time in the rules.

We have to. Absolutely.

Oh, what a day.

"How did you get sent home?"
"We didn't wear our bags."

We're the last team now.

We don't know where we're going.
How will we find it back?

Your time in the race is over.

Pit Stop, Flicka. Let's go.

Hi, guys. We're looking for a place.
Do you think you can help us?

This way.

Thank you!
Thanks, guys! Let's go, Gabba.

- There's a sign there.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hurry! Come on!

Come on, Jodie, let's go!

Ready?
Yeah!

Yeah!

How many is that, Claire?
That's 10. Only 40 to go.

If they're in here unravelled,
they don't count.

49, 50.
That one.

Yay!

Don't do that!
Thank you so much!

Thank you.
Good luck, girls.

"Hurry! Last team to check in
may be eliminated."

Come on! Come on!

We knew the pressure was on
to try and get this right.

No.

I feel like doing the same thing
over and over again

is the definition of insanity.

Here!
Yoo-hoo!

- You good, Flicka?
- Mm-hm!

Oh, my gosh!

Welcome to Kula.

A different-looking Beau.
Yeah, I know.

Flick, Gabby,

you are the third team to check in.

Yes!
Whoo!

Well done today.
Thanks, mate.

Whoo-hoo!
Whoo!

Whoo-hoo!

I'm so confused right now.

Hello.

Chelsea, Jamus,
I've got a question for you two.

Where are your backpacks?

Oh, in the car.

Are we gonna carry our bags?
Nah.

We'll have to go get them.

It was about 2km down the way.

We might as well just walk it now.

There's no point.
We're not gonna make it back.

I told you we should've taken them.

So, it's a rule, they have
to have their backpacks...

..or else they can't finish.

Oh, another sexy man for us!

Pako, Mori,

you are the 4th team to check in!

Yay!
I'm so happy.

I'm proud of you, babe.

48.

49. And that one. 50.

Thank you!

Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. Thank you.

"Hurry! The last team to check in
may be eliminated."

Our biggest problem is
we've got to go back to the car.

We don't have our backpacks.
Didn't say to bring them.

You always. Every single time.
No.

Every single time in the rules.
Shit.

Have to. Absolutely.

Thank you so much! Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you.

You have a good day.
Let's go.

Hon, we are so far
from the car right now.

We have to get our backpacks.
Let's go.

We have no idea where we are!

Just find the car so we can go home!

Shall we go this way?

Nah. Let's just find
a main market thing first.

We don't know where we're going.
How're we gonna find it back?

Oh! Oh, my God!

Morgan, Lilli.
Hello!

You are... the 5th team to check in!

Yes!
Really?

This way?

Yes. Perfect. Thank you.
Thank you.

Come on, mate, run! There's no time.

Back here!

Fliss, Tottie.

You are right.

But known to most as Beau's friend.
So, helping Beau out at the moment.

Fliss, Tottie,

you are... the 6th team to check in!

Shoes off. Now go.

Lauren, Steph,

you are... the 7th team to check in.

7th?
7th? That's awesome, mate.

How did that even happen? Ohh.
How did we do that?

We need to try and get
this done as soon as possible.

So there's prayers
going on at the moment

and because it's located
near a mosque,

we can't make any loud noise.

I'm very much convinced
we're the last team now.

Turn left here.
Really?

Oh, man! We're going home.

No, no, no.
That's it. We are.

I've come to terms with it now.

This is our time to go home.

We're nowhere near!

Jamus!
I don't know, Chelsea.

Where do we go from here?
Babe, I'm trying to like...

Vincent, put it
above your head! Above your head!

It is above my head.
Good!

No. OK.

Vinny, you have to bang up here
when we're doing this.

OK. One more time, please.

You right?

Is that our car just there?

Yeah.

Oh, there they are.

49, 50.

Yay! Thank you so much! Thank you!
Thank you so much. Thank you.

Yep, come down, come... Oh, no.
Yep. It's alright, come down.

48, 49, 50.

Thank you!

Yes, OK. Let's go.

One, two, three! Whoa!

Yeah! Thank you!

Thank you so much. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you.

"Hurry! The last team to check in
may be eliminated."

I'm going to take him
to some dancing classes.

No. Please, God.

Come on, Vinny, let's go.
We don't have time.

Wow. What a day.

"How did you get sent home?"
"'Cause we didn't wear our bags."

Let's just try, hon.

Oh, my God.
Gotta make it back to the car.

We've still got time, though.

Press the boot.

Oh!

Sorry.

Ohhh!

So back this way?

Thank you.

Yeah, here it is. Let's go, baby!
Proud of you.

We got this.

Quick fix.
Hello!

Thank you! Oh, hello.
You're not Beau.

Kelly, Georgia.

8th place.
Oh, let's go!

Well done.
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much. See ya!
OK, thank you.

Welcome to Kula.

Thank you very much!

Jodie, Claire,
you are the 9th team to check in.

Wow!
Yay!

Hang on. Which hand?
Oh, that one.

You're still in the race. Well done.
Thank you.

I have learnt today
we cannot go onto the mat

without your backpacks
and your bum bag.

Cynthia, Tiffany,

you are... the 10th team to check in.

We made it, OK.
You've made it here.

Rightio.
Yeah. Absolutely.

Excuse me,
do you know where this is?

Through there? Thank you so much.

And let's do our best.
I'm not, I'm not giving up.

OK.
Left or right?

There's an arrow.
Oh, sweet. Yeah, yeah.

Fingers crossed, baby.
Come here. Oh!

Oh.
Yeah.

Ohh.

Chelsea, Jamus...
Yes.

..You are the 11th team to check in.

Huh?
What?

How does that work?

It's all good, baby.

Damn!

Where did you think you were?
Last!

OK.
All for a backpack.

After, you know, everything...

The race is not easy, so
I thought to go out for a backpack

not on our backs
was pretty... pretty rough.

It's not an easy race, is it?
Nope.

You're doing really well.
Thank you.

Congratulations, you two.
Thank you!

Thank you.
I don't wanna see you again today.

We gotta sleep with them now.
Sleep with them?

Probably sleep on them, with them.
Yes.

Through here.

Hi.

Yoo-hoo!
Hi.

Tammy, Vincent,

you are...

..the last team to check in.

Yep.
Your time in the race is over.

I'm sad for it to be over.
I wanna keep going on the adventure.

Yeah, but it's OK.

I think we're really happy
with what we've done.

Yeah.

Thanks, Beau number 2.
Yeah.

We've just grown
from this experience

and become closer together
as brother and sister.

Hi, Beau-Beau!
Sorry to hear you're in isolation.

Guys, I'm proud of you.

You should be very proud
of each other.

I know you need it.
Oh.

I miss ya and I'll see ya soon.

Thanks, Beau-Beau.

Ohh.

It was a pleasure.

We're lucky to be here.
Yeah.

Next time
on The Amazing Race Australia...

..in the coastal town of Alacati...

The teams are on us like glue today.

..The time for games...
Oh!

..Is over.

Frankie and Angel need to stuff up.

And speed...

Faster! Faster!

..Is crucial.

Go, Gabby!

Turn! Turn!

She's flooring it here.

Oh, shit. Oh, shit!
