[Summer] Distracted by the Gecko.

Rise and shine!

Hibernation is over.

[groans] Can't I just hibernate
a little bit longer?

Nope. Winter is done now. Let's go!

What's… [yawns]

…all the squawking about?

It's gecko season!

All the geckos finally come out of hiding.

If you stay still enough,

the shy, itty-bitty, wittle gecko-weckos
will crawl all over you.

[gasps]

But geckos are so slimy and scary.

Where are these geckos anyway?

The Lost Trail! [laughs]

Mom's opening it today. [squeals]

I'm so excited.

[Mom] Kids, get ready. It's a big day!

See? Race you there!

I'm gonna see a western banded gecko,
a leaf-tailed gecko, a barefoot gecko…

I wonder if their toes get cold.

Welcome to the Lost Trail, kiddos.

It's one of the most popular
and advanced trails in the park.

Before we reopen it,
I need you to collect leaf samples

from live oaks and sycamores
for Dad to examine.

As rangers, big and small, it's our duty
to make sure our trees stay healthy.

But, Mom, it's gecko season!

Not leaf-collecting season.

You can still have fun
along the way, honey,

but I need you
to stay focused on your task.

Okay. Yeah. I can stay focused.

I am the queen of focused.

[chirping]

-Was that a blue jay?
-Here's a bag to collect the samples.

I'll be waiting at the end of the trail.

Oh, and one more thing.

A big mama bear hug before you go!
Oh, my little rangers are all grown up!

-Mom!
-Okay.

Go. Before I get all worked up
like last week.

And the week before.

[sighs] And the week before that.

-[Summer] Goodbye, blue jay. I mean, Mom.
-[Kodi] We're on our way!

[Eddy] I'm gonna collect so many leaves.

Ah, where to begin on this nice,
calm, peaceful leaf search?

[Coyote] Hello there!

Hi, Coyote. Hi, Lizard.

Have either of you seen any geckos lately?

[Eddy] Summer!

We're not supposed to get distracted,
remember?

Exactly.

We're here to find leaves for Mom.
Not geckos.

[Lizard] Geckos?!

Eurgh. Why would you wanna find them?
They're not that cool.

Aren't lizards and geckos
kinda the same thing?

First off, how dare you?

Secondly, not at all.

Geckos are lizards,
but not all lizards are geckos.

Geckos don't even have eyelids.

They lick their own eyeballs
to keep them wet. That is gross. Listen!

It's a rivalry as old as time!

You're just bitter about that one time
I got to meet the Great Gecko Spirit.

Great Gecko Spirit?

[gasps] Where?

Good luck trying to meet him!

You have to enter the dark, spooky
Great Gecko Forest over there.

Legend says, if you enter it,
you won't come out for 20 years.

Yeah, yeah.
Now, let's go look for gecko clues!

You didn't let me finish!
First, you have to enter the forest,

and then you have to spot him.

It's very rare
to see the Great Gecko. Thankfully.

Summer, I really don't like this.

Yeah, you're supposed to be focused.

Let's look for him.

Just a wittle bit.

Please. Please!

Oh, no. She's doing the puppy dog eyes.
It's my weakness. How do I say no?

[Eddy] Don't look!

I can't help myself.
It's so cute! [inhales sharply]

Okay, we can look.

But just for a wittle bit.

-[Summer giggles]
-Then it's back to leaves.

Mr. Great Gecko Spirit, are you home?

[mysterious music plays]

Gecko prints! We're getting close.

-Let's follow them!
-I don't think I'm supposed to--

Yoo-hoo! Look what I found.
An even bigger print!

[Summer gasps] Really? Where?

There are so many things that look like
gecko prints that aren't gecko prints.

This flower looks just like gecko toes.

-[gasps] Deceiving. I like it.
-Huh?

A gecko!

I found a gecko!

Aw.

[scoffs] That normal gecko's
got nothing on the Great Gecko Spirit.

[gecko trills]

[Summer] More geckos?

I bet these geckos
will lead to him. [squeals]

Follow the Rainbow Gecko Road!

Great Gecko Spirit!
Come out, come out, wherever you are!

We promise we won't bite!

Even though you might.

Any luck, Lizard?

Eh, who needs a Great Gecko
when you got me, baby?

A great lizard with great eyes
that I don't have to lick.

I guess today's not our day.
We should get back to collecting leaves.

Summer! It's time to go!

[Eddy] Summer! Coyote!

-[Lizard] They're gone? Where'd they go?
-We have to find them.

And go deeper
into this dark, strange, gecko-y forest

full of legends and nightmares?

[gulps]

I knew this was a bad idea.
Poor Summer and Coyote.

They're probably so lost and scared.

I'm so happy! This is a dream come true.

I am the queen of geckos.

I don't know
why Lizard doesn't like geckos.

They are wonderful creatures
that know how to make a wonderful hat.

Same! Lizard, why do you…

Wait.

Kodi? Eddy?

-Summer?
-I hate to break it to you, but--

I think we're--

[all] Lost!
