(Marty grunts)

(Marty) First rain,
now wind? What a mess!

(Reporter) Now, how 'bout
that storm, New York?

In other news, a Costa
Rican sloth named Lucia

was found uptown!

No one knows how this world
traveling sloth arrived,

but she'll be staying
at a rescue habitat

at the Central Park Zoo.

(Melman) Hey, that's
where we live!

(Ranger) Hey, kids!

(Marty) Mornin', Ranger!

You here to help
the sloth settle in?

(Ranger) No, I'm
here to see you!

I've got ten young
horses graduating

to Park Ranger service tomorrow.
Right now, they're practicing

their Graduation Trot
through the park.

(Marty squeals)

Stripes?

(Marty) Oh, yes, ma'am?

I was just dreaming
about the day

I'll be doing my
own graduation trot.

(Ranger) Why don't
you get a taste of it

and come watch the rangers graduate
tomorrow? You'll be my guest.

-(Marty) You're kidding!
-(Ranger) Do I look like I kid around?

(Melman) I don't
think she kids around.

(Marty) I'll be there
with bells on, Ranger!

(Ranger) Mm-hm.
Bells are for cows.

But you can bring
your Park Ranger hat!

(Marty) Yes, ma'am!

I'm going to get to see a
real Ranger Horse Graduation!

I'll need to get plenty of
sleep, and polish my hat,

and practice my trot, and...

(Ant'ney) Sloth day!

(Melman) Hey, Ant'ney!
What's the word?

(Ant'ney) That world
travelin' sloth

is havin' a Grand Reveal!

And I wanna get close
to the, oh, sloth!

That's too close!

(Visitor) Huh?

(Kate) One for
you. One for you.

- (Marty) World traveler, huh?
- (Lucia) Hola!

(Lucia giggles)

- (Marty) Are you...?
- (Lucia) I'm Lucia!

Mind if I do a little unpacking?

It's a bit crowded
by the guest habitat.

(Alex) Uh, sure. I'm
Alex, by the way.

Nice news report on
you this morning.

(Lucia) Thanks!

But I think they should
point their cameras

at more regal faces like yours!

(everybody laughs)

- (Melman) I'm Melman.
- (Lucia) What beautiful hooves!

They sparkle like the
Amazon River at dawn!

(Melman) I've always
wanted to be sparkly!

(Gloria) I'm Gloria.

(Lucia) Oh, I love to meet
a water spirit like myself.

(Gloria) I didn't
know sloths swim!

(Lucia) I swim even
faster than I walk!

- (Gloria) Uh! Me too!
- (Marty) I'm Marty.

If you have questions
about the rules

or how things work around
here, I'm your zebra!

(Lucia) Rules? You're funny!

Oh, my travel pillow.

Ooh, itchy.

(everybody gasps)

(Alex) Marty, look away!

(Marty) Did you just rip
the tag off that pillow?

(Lucia) Yup! Why?
It's just a tag.

(Marty) It's not "just a tag."

I can't read, but
even I know it says:

Do not remove under
penalty of the law!

(everybody) Under
penalty of the law.

(Lucia) Well, I can read,
and it says right here:

"Dude, chill".
It's just a tag.

(everybody gasps)

I'm kidding, of course.

You're not gonna
tell on me, are you?

(Marty) Uh, no?

(Lucia) You really
follow every rule, huh?

(Marty) You don't get
to Graduation Trot

by ripping tags off pillows.

(Slothies) We want a sloth!

(Alex) Sounds like your
Grand Reveal is starting.

-(Melman) Shouldn't you be over there?
-(Lucia) I guess you're right.

I hear New Yorkers are
fond of "being on time."

But I'll be back soon to
hang out with my new friends!

That's all of you!
Until then, pura vida!

(Gloria) Did we just meet
our new favorite animal?

'Cause it sure feels like it!

(Alex) Should we go
watch her perform?

- (Melman) Yes, please!
- (Marty) Y'all have fun.

I've got lots to do before the
graduation ceremony tomorrow!

Trot, trot, gait.
Trot, trot, gait.

A-trot, trot, gait.
A-trot, trot, gait.

A-trot, trot...

- (Lucia) Hola!
- (Marty) Ah! Ugh!

- (Lucia) I'm back!
- (Marty) Phew. You startled...

Ah!

(Gloria) Surprise!

(Alex) After the Grand Reveal,

Lucia taught us how
to hang upside down!

(Melman) From the tree!

(Marty) Yeah, I figured that.

(everybody grunts)

(Lucia) We're going
to build sculptures

with the sand I
got at Bondi Beach.

I love souvenirs!

(Marty) I should get
ready for tomorrow.

Ranger Hoof invited me herself,

and I want to make
a good impression.

(Alex) C'mon, Marty!

You have all of
tomorrow to get ready.

(Melman) Uh-huh!

(Gloria) And Lucia's
just here for one day!

(everybody) Please!

(Marty) Yeah, okay.

(Lucia) Voila!
The Eiffel Tower!

(Alex) I made a dumpling cart!

(Gloria) Check out
my prima ballerina.

(Melman) Mine's a fire truck!

(Melman imitates siren)

(Marty) Ranger
Horse Graduation!

Thanks, Lucia, it
was fun to make this,

and imagine tomorrow's big day.

(Lucia) We haven't even
gotten to the best part!

- Knocking them down!
- (Marty) What?

(Lucia) Sand is always changing,
the harder you hold it,

the faster it slips
through your claws.

Since they can't stay
like this forever,

we might as well
have fun with them.

Au revoir, Eiffel!

Ah! Ah!

(Gloria) Wow! Hiya! Ah, ah!

(Alex) Ooh! Me
next! Yah! Whoa!

(Alex chuckles)

(Marty) I think I'm
just gonna keep mine

how it is.

(Melman) Bye-bye, firetruck!

(Marty) Huh?

(Melman imitates siren)

(Marty) Uh-oh. Ah!
Melman, watch out!

(Melman) Oh! Oh! Ah! Uff!

(Marty) Ugh!

(Lucia) Whoops!
Sorry about that.

Guess I must've lost my marbles!

(Gloria laughs)

(Gloria) You are fun.

Too bad you can't
stay, but I'm glad

we got to spend
the day with you.

- (Alex) Where will you go?
- (Lucia) Wherever I want!

After taking a left at
where the wind takes me.

(Melman) Sounds far!

(Marty) Well, it's
been a wild and, uh,

messy day with you, Lucia.
Good luck getting home.

(Kate) Buenas
Noches, Central Park!

I have exiting news!

After speaking with
the sloth rescue

in Costa Rica, I am happy to say

Lucia will be staying
in New York for good!

Looks like it's gonna
be Sloth Day every day!

(Gloria) Did ya
hear that, Lucia?

Looks like you are home!

(everybody cheers)

Huh? What time is it?

And what sort of animal
sound is that? Uh!

(Lucia) Pura vida,Marty!
You're up early!

(Marty) Heh. Wonder
how that happened.

(Lucia) I'm mostly nocturnal,
so I'm up all night.

I welcome the
sunrise every morning

with a dance and a song! Were
you still trying to sleep?

(Marty) It's okay.

I have a lot to do today

before the Graduation
Trot anyway.

I'm working on my Park
Ranger Horse smile.

I want it to say
"I'm here to help,

but I mean business."

(Melman) I think that
says "I ate spinach."

(Marty) Oh! Uh, better
go brush these ivories!

(both chuckle)

Has anyone seen my tooth...

(Lucia sighs)

Brush!

(Lucia) Oh. You mean
this thing? Whoops!

I found it near that
big box of souvenirs

and thought it was
a backscratcher.

(Lucia humming)

I dig your collection.

(Marty sighs)

(Marty grunts)

(Marty) He-he, thanks, but
it's not a collection, heh.

It's a very organized system
of temporarily unhomed items.

It's a lost and found.

(Lucia) Lost and yet
found. Aren't we all?

(Marty) Uh, yeah. Hey,
you like souvenirs, right?

Instead of playing
with that stuff,

maybe you can play with
this. It's a keepsake.

(Lucia) Oh, gracias!
I'll treasure it forever!

(Gloria) I never
thought to try

a toothbrush as a backscratcher,
ah, but, aw, yeah.

(Alex) Pura vida,amiright?

(Gloria) Oh, yeah!

(Melman) Lucia, what
does "pura vida"mean?

(Lucia) It's a
Costa Rican motto.

It means kick back,
go with the flow,

and enjoy life.

(Gloria) Here in New
York, we like to say:

"Move it, Mister!"

(everybody laughs)

(Lucia) You New
Yorkers move fast.

But you can explore the world

and still make time to stop
and smell the African daisies!
