Lego Masters (2020–…): Season 1, Episode 8 - Good Vs. Evil - full transcript

Tonight,
on "Lego Masters..."

Superheroes, but half of them

are evil.

A battle of good versus evil--

You'll be pairing up
with another team.

- creates an epic showdown.

We have to be on the same page.

- We are setting ourselves
apart from them.

- If they wanna stay
in this competition,

they have to work well together.

Can you turn it
into something else?

- I'm keeping it
since I built it.

Terry Crews is here!

- You don't wanna go home!
- I don't wanna go home!

Coming into the workroom,

and we see this dark rooftop,
and not a whole lot else.

We have the Golden Brick.

We know we're safe from
elimination,

and this challenge is
our last opportunity to use it,

so we're gonna take risks.

There's no way we're gonna
phone this one in.

- Hello, Builders, and welcome

to an ominous rooftop that
overlooks a dark

and crime-ridden city.

- Yeah!
- Holy!

Now, the reason I wanted
to meet here is because,

contrary to the song,

we do need another hero.

And you...

are the chosen ones.

- Yeah, this is gonna be great.

Look around.

We're getting closer to
the end of this competition

where only one team will
go home with $100,000.

But everyone will have
radioactive spider bites.

We actually, yeah, we
should've-- we should have had

an exterminator come in,
but that's alright.

You remember Brickmaster
Jamie and Amy.

If those are your real names.

- Alright, Builders,
suck in your stomachs,

'cause we're strapping on
Spandex.

The most action-packed super
challenge you've ever seen.

Today, you're going to create

superheroes and the Marvel-lous
universe they live in.

- This is so cool!
- Very cool.

So, behind me
are 16 Lego mini-figs.

And trust me when I say,

they are far from your
traditional superheroes.

Like Shower Guy.

Fox Girl.

And Pizza Costume Guy.

- So it's up to you to make
them super.

For this build, each team
will grab two

and transform them
into superheroes

and their sidekicks.
- Oooh.

The characters you select

will inspire your build today,

so choose wisely.

Go!

- I recognize that each one
of these is a character

from the most recent Lego
collectible minifig series.

- We go Flamingo?
- Yeah, Flamingo.

Grab the Flamingo.

There's a gardener,

an adventurer/explorer.

- Adventure Guy.

Galactic Bounty Hunter.

All these crazy characters.

- Got it. Got it.

Mark grabs Pizza Costume Guy

and Bear Costume Guy.

And we're just like
pleased as punch with

these bright, colorful figures
we've got,

and everyone else is still
in there like deliberating.

That's adorable.

- Hey, hey, guys.
- What's going on?

Come on!

It's the problem with the world
we live in today,

- there are too many choices.
- Exactly.

The two minifigs that
we picked are

the Jungle Explorer and
the Mummy Queen.

- Those go very well together.

- Growing up, I loved
Indiana Jones, so, like,

I see myself in this
Jungle Explorer.

- Now, those minifigs
might look adorable.

But half of them are pure evil.

Luckily, we have this.

It's the...

Okay.

- Sorry, I spent all my time
building it, so not naming it,

alright? Geesh.
- It's a good name.

Now, when you put
your minifigs on the pedestal,

it will tell you if you're
holding a superhero

and their sidekick,

or a supervillain and
their henchman.

Mark and Boone, you're up.

You guys got Pizza Costume Guy
and Bear Costume Guy.

If it's blue, it's good.

And if it's red, it's evil.
- Fun.

Let's see what you've got.

- Villains.

- Evil.

- Alright.
- I look at you

in a completely different way.

- How do we make pizza bad?
Pizza's so good.

Christian, Aaron,

you guys got
Galactic Bounty Hunter

and a Programmer.

Why did you pick them?

- A lot like us--

- the brawn and the brains.
- Okay.

You're the brawn?

- Let's find out if
they're good or evil.

- Yeah.
- Alright.

- Good.
- Very exciting. Yeah.

- Tyler and Amy, you're up.

Mummy Queen and Jungle Explorer.

Oooh!

- That's good, that's good.

Sam and Jessica, you're up.

- Evil is so much easier

than good.
- We want evil.

Good guys are sort of boring.

The bad guys are always
the interesting thing.

You got The Gardener
and Shower Guy.

Let's find out if they're
good or evil.

Ooh!

They're good.

- Now we have to figure out
how to make Shower Guy

and Gardener Lady heroes.

This is gonna be a tough one.

- Now when I say go,

you're going to build
your heroes' hideout

or your villains' secret lair.

You'll be--

- Boy.
- Ooh boy.

- Hello, Lego Masters.

Week in and week out,
I've been watching you

build together from my evil...

studio apartment.

- You all play so well together.

That ends now.

- I want to see your superheroes
and your supervillains battle!

- Ooh.
- Oooh.

- Good luck, dummies.

You're gonna need it.

- By the way, your host,
Will Arnett,

seems like a really cool guy.

- Wow.
- Whoa.

- Who was that?

So observant.

You heard him, beyond
building your own world,

you'll be pairing up
with another team

to create an epic face-off.

- Whoa.
- That's cool.

- Aaron and Christian,
your good guys

are gonna battle
Tyler and Amy's bad guys.

- Okay.

- Sam and Jessica, your
minifig heroes are up against

Mark and Boone's evil duo.

- We'd normally be worried
about beating Mark and Boone,

but they have the Golden Brick,
so we have to worry about

beating Aaron and Christian
and Tyler and Amy,

which is gonna be tough.

- Alright, so you're gonna be
judged on your separate builds

and how well you can
play together.

When you go
to your build stations,

you'll see an extra table
set up between your table

and the one next to you.

That's where the battle between
you and your new archenemies

will go down.

You've got 11 hours
to complete your builds

and your battle.

At the end of this challenge,
one team will be eliminated.

- I'm not being evil,
that's just the reality...

television, that's how it works.

- Now, get your brick on!
- Whoo!

- Let's go.
- Watch out.

- What's up, Jess?

- Okay.
- Bathtub Guy.

- Bathtub Guy and Gardener.

He's the hero and
she's the sidekick.

Alright, so we have
our two heroes:

The Galactic Bounty Hunter
and The Programmer.

He's the hero, she's
the sidekick, do you think?

So, Brickmasters, four teams,

they each have to come up
with their own story

of their superhero or villain.

She's The Scorpion Queen,

so we can have this whole
like scorpion theme.

- They need to spend the time
in the beginning thinking:

Who is this character?

What powers do they have?

And then they've gotta create
superhero worlds.

This is all underground,
and that's where they're, like,

turning these old pizza
into pizza monsters.

Yeah, yeah.

- And then with whatever team
they're paired up with,

they have to create this
epic battle in the middle.

- We have to battle their pizza
and their rainbow bear.

- It's that real battle scene
that's gonna show,

can they work well
with other teams

and bring out the best
of both models?

- Underground lair.
Ooh la la.

- One thing that I think
would be cool to do

is add a trap.

In this challenge, we get
to be evil.

The Mummy Queen is gonna
be our main villain,

then our sidekick is going
to be The Jungle Explorer.

And we are going to create
the temple of the fire scorpion.

It's gonna look like this
Egyptian lava temple.

- There's one thing that,
when you're evil, that you

have to do really well.

I really wanna hear
your evil laugh.

- Go!
- This is gonna be good.

- The light guy--
the light started,

and they couldn't even
finish it.

Wow, you know, you gotta
be able to summon

the thunder and lightning, too,

like, with
the snap of your fingers.

For me, I've been doing it
for so long, I know that

if I put my hand up and snap--

- The thunder took a second,

'cause the storm's
moving away from us.

Right.

- The storm's moving
away from us.

- Come on, guys!

I gave you lots of lead-in.

- No! I'm--
stop making it rain.

- Alright, so, Tyler,
let's hear your--

Hey, man!

This is one of my favorite bits.

- Let's go.

- So we could have like
a double level hideout.

- We've chosen good guys:

The Programmer and
The Galactic Bounty Hunter.

They're gonna be
technology teachers.

And their school is in jeopardy,
so they need to go out

and raise money
to save their school.

Maybe there's like
a fundraiser happening,

like, a bake sale.

Bake sale makes total sense,

because that's super clear.
- Very school style.

- They always, always
do bake sales.

- Hey.
- Hey.

- You guys feeling good
about this challenge?

- Feeling really good.

- I think we have some
extra advice for you.

- Well, well, well.

- It's Evil Will.

- Aaron and Christian,
I see you've been building

your Lego.

By that I mean, I see you guys
have been building some Lego.

- Yeah.
- Yeah, we have.

- We're looking into building
a multistory tech center,

like classrooms on the top,
and the hidden lair portion

is gonna be mostly underground
inside of a hill.

- You wanna destroy evil
in your build, right?

- Yes, we do.

Boo!

Thanks, Evil Will.

Thanks, guys.

- I wanna try to listen in
on Boone and Mark here a second.

- There should be like a, um--

- A big central computer.
- Yeah!

And it's like the mastermind,

and it's gotta have
a chair that swivels.

- Yeah, like every bad guy has.

- Good.

I think the Golden Brick is
allowing us to take some risks.

We have villains:

the Bear Costume Guy and
the Pizza Costume Guy.

We have a pizza shop
and a candy shop.

Pizza Costume Guy has
a pizza oven

where he's manufacturing
henchmen.

And the Bear Costume Guy
has a mega supercomputer.

- I like your rainbow wall.

That's amazing.
- Thanks.

Does that look the site
of a bathtub if I tile it?

- It does, actually.
It looks so cute.

- For the good versus evil
challenge,

we have the good guys.

The Shower Guy's gonna be
our hero.

He's gonna live
in his mother's basement.

His mother is The Gardener.

The greenhouse
has what? Vines?

We're building
the greenhouse on top,

and then the lair will be
in the basement.

Well, we're gonna have
an Olympic-sized bathtub.

An army of rubber duckies
to go into battle.

In order to keep up
with Mark and Boone's scale,

we need to work on
our time management

to make sure we have
something incredible.

- We've got very little done.

- You guys wanna come meet us?
- Yeah.

Let's talk.

That's the mastermind.

I love it.

- Our street level
is gonna be up.

- So our idea is raising
our street level.

- Then the lair level
can be underneath.

- That's what I said--

He's this kid who lives
at home with his mom.

He lives in the basement.

- They've already planned
to do a underground lair.

We're planning the exact
same thing.

This is perfect.

We can make one
big, unified build.

In our battle, Evil Pizza Guy

is creating pizza minions
to terrorize the city.

But Shower Guy and his
mother, The Gardener,

are coming to clean up
this messy situation.

- This is a big space,
so how tall?

- Well, we all have to be
at the same height.

- It's amazing collaborating
with Mark and Boone.

They have great ideas,
they're open to suggestions.

We're open to their suggestions.

This is going smoothly.

- Alright, let's go.

Nine hours!

- You guys ready?
- Yep.

- Ready to talk, Christian?
- Yeah!

- We all wanna work together
to create the best,

most cohesive build possible.

But at the same time, we were
in the bottom two last week,

so we have to make sure
that our own personal build

and our own contributions
to the build

are standing out.

- We're gonna have our two
main characters.

Our Mummy Queen versus

your Programmer.

But what else is going
around here?

- There's like an Egyptian,
you know, village,

and the kids-- the local kids
are having a bake sale.

I'm not understanding that.

Does that fit in at all?

- Um, school, bake sale,
it feels cohesive.

What do you-- what do
you guys think?

- Um...

They seem really fixated
on this bake sale.

I really don't see how
this relates

to either of their figures.

What our villains are trying
to do is

summon creatures.
- Okay.

- So is there any element
of that that could tie in?

Giant lava scorpions

that attack the school?

They want the bake sale,

but they don't wanna
have to pay kind of thing?

The Scorpion is hungry

and it wants all of the
desserts.

Yeah.

When it comes to that
battle scene

with Aaron and Christian,

we have to be on the same page
about everything.

- And at this point,
it's not looking good.

Let's maybe like have
a powwow at the halfway mark

and--
- Okay.

- reevaluate,
see where we're at,

see where you're at.
- Yeah.

We're feeling
a little nervous because

if Aaron and Christian's build
isn't really up to snuff,

it could really hurt
our side of the battle,

and that could easily
put us in the bottom two.

- I'm not quite seeing
the vision here.

- I just realized that
everyone here has a sidekick

except me.

Mark has Boone.

Jamie has Amy.

Main camera has close-up camera.

It's not fair.

I want a sidekick.

You know what?

I'm gonna get one.

Ha-ha.

- Ooh!

Whoa!

What?!

- It's Terry Crews!

He just busted a wall, man!

- What's up, man?

- Ooh, my God!

Terry Crews is here!
- Yes!

I'm honored to be here.

I'm the biggest Lego fan, guys.

- Are you ready to get
to work or what?

I saw you sent
a sidekick signal.

- Yes, I did send
a sidekick signal.

I am so happy that I finally
have a sidekick.

- What are you talking about?
You're my sidekick.

- No, come on.
Come on, Terry, you don't--

- Alright, alright, yeah,
I'm your sidekick, yeah.

- Yes, you are!

Alright, let's take
a look at these builds!

- Mark and Boone,

and Jessica and Sam.
- Hey, hey.

Hello.
- Hello.

So, these guys are
the villain and the henchman.

On the other side, Sam and
Jessica are the good guys.

And part of this challenge
is they have to build

their own side and then
bring it together

and have an epic battle
in the middle.

So, this is the first challenge
where teams have had

to kind of work together.
- Yeah.

- How's that part going?

Are you guys--
- It's fun.

- It's going great, actually.

- Because it's like a new team.
Like a big team.

- Look at how amazingly
intricate this is right now.

I can't believe this level
of Lego-ness.

Awesome job.

- Hello, guys.
How you doing?

Tyler?
- Yep.

- And Amy?
Nice to meet you.

I'm so honored.

This is incredible.

- This temple is sick.

- My God, look it.

Right, and with the scorpions

and then the lava.

- My God.
- I know.

- Level of detail.
- And they're great builders.

Oftentimes, it's very like
lively and light and nice,

and whatever and now, they're
forced to be villains.

Villains!

There it is!
I saw evil.

How about
the thunder and lightning?

This room is specially wired.

See if you can hand up
and snap it.

- Okay, and...

- Gotta put
the pecs in there, too.

Get the pecs in there.

- On an all-new Pecs of Thunder.

By the way, Pecs of Thunder

great on T-shirts and stuff.

- That's a good sidekick idea.

- Yeah. Thank you.

- Looking good.
- Thanks.

Hey, guys.

- Guys, how you doing?
- What's going on?

- Build it!
How bad do you want this?

- Man!
- I wanted to make an entrance,

because you burst
through the wall.

- Yeah, it's not exactly
fair when he gets to burst

through the wall and he
just... walk in.

I just kind of appear.

- But that's what sidekicks do.

It's true.

It's unbelievable how quickly
we've adopted these roles.

So, you guys are
gonna be battling

against Tyler and Amy.
- Yes.

- The other team is kind of
more together.

You guys are a little more
separate.

Does that make a difference?

Tyler and Amy are
still-- as much as we're working

with them, you know, we still
have to make sure that we are

setting ourselves apart from
them,

'cause we don't wanna get like
sort of lost

- in their shadow, if you will.
- Definitely.

- Well, you know what?
I love what you guys do.

This is incredible, man.
- Thank you so much.

- Hey, you know where
the light bricks are?

- Yeah, they're in with
the motor function stuff.

- The Lego light brick is
a 2x3 brick with a light inside,

and a button on the back.

We're building a computer
for the underground lair

for our villains that uses
12 of these things

with a motor, gears, and cams
to push those buttons

in a seemingly random pattern.

- My goaly.
- That's awesome.

I'm proud of you.
- Thanks, buddy.

- Mark and Boone, they are
all in on this challenge.

And the way they've created
that digital board

that has the flashing lights
that go in a random pattern,

it's a real eye-catcher.

This is super difficult
to accomplish,

and it's a really fun
focal point to get us

into their world.

- I'm impressed by
your supercomputer.

- They already have a full
computer already up,

and I'm like, "My gosh."

Halfway done!

- Two minutes 'til our powwow.

Mark and Boone do
have the Golden Brick,

so they're safe this challenge,

which means one of the remaining
three is going home.

So we have to make sure we have
a very strong themed build,

a really strong good versus
evil conflict.

So, we're creating
the temple of the fire scorpion

for our evil villain,
The Scorpion Queen.

And our main piece
for the combined battle

with Aaron and Christian is
a giant scorpion

that spits fire out of its tail.

We're gonna have this big tail.

- Love it.
- Big, giant pinchers.

We're going to have
a tech center,

and then we want to have
The Programmer's giant robot.

An enormous version of that...

just to make sure that
we're gonna stand out.

- You're all about ready
for a pow-wow?

- Yeah, just about.

So for this battle scene,

we need to figure out how
these two very different

technological and ancient worlds
are gonna be

colliding and clashing.

- What do we want?
What are we going after?

- Maybe there's a center thing
that we are battling over.

- Yes! Some kind of
ancient artifact

or ancient site.
- Artifact.

- What if there's like a big
obelisk or something

in the middle?
- Sure.

- And we can work the battle
around it.

Scorpion climbing up the side.
- Yes.

Robot hanging on,
that sort of thing

to get that sense of scale
and scope.

So, our battle scene
has our fire scorpion battling

Aaron and Christian's robot
over this tall obelisk.

In our strategy, we want
to create the strongest

battle scene as possible.

So we want their side of
that battle to be epic.

But we wanna beat them.

If they have something
a little wacky on their side,

better for us.

- Hello.
- Hello.

- Getting cozy over here.
- How you doing?

- Working so closely beside
the competition is--

- It's good, we don't feel
like they're competition,

they're out team.

First, we have to build our
headquarters for our superhero.

And then we have to share
a build with Mark and Boone

to build a battle scene.

If we set up our build so
it all fits together as one

large build, it really shows
that we've worked as a team

making one cohesive story.

We have to be a team
to make this work.

- You do have to be a team,

but you're also getting
judged individually.

- Yeah.

But I am
seeing that the heroes' lair

is looking a little bit
sad right now.

- Right now, I'm making a big
video game system

for for him to be playing.

Shower Guy, he's a nerd.

Like, he's still a hero,
but he lives in a basement.

He's not really a super
inspirational superhero.

- But he is supposed
to be super.

You want to have
The Bathtub Guy as

a bigger-than-life character.

Just make sure we see him
as a superhero.

- Superhero. Okay. Okay.

- This is an elimination
challenge.

Mark and Boone
have the Golden Brick,

so one of the other three teams
is going home.

- Time's always been
your challenge.

This is now
down to the final four.

You guys are a bit behind when
we look at the other teams.

So use the time wisely.

Stay focused.

- Our lair is empty.

There's nothing in it.

- Build, build, build.
- Good luck.

- If we don't come up with
something and start putting

ideas in our build,
we're going home.

- No way.
I don't know what to do.

- We need to do the lair,
'cause this is gonna determine

whether we get eliminated
or not.

You have to do the lair.

- What else does a superhero
have in his lair

besides a supercomputer?

We have good guys battling
Mark and Boone's bad guys.

- What's super
in a superhero's apartment

that's like also a bathroom?

- I'm out of ideas.

I'm feeling very frustrated.

- How long did it take you guys
to even know where

- this stuff was?
- A million hours.

If you were Shower Guy,
and you were a superhero,

what would be in your lair?

- Definitely some soap.

Lots-- lots of soap.

Scrubbies.
- Scrubbies!

- Scrubbies could be part
of the like-- eeeuh--

that'd be a power,
you know what I mean?

- Alright thanks.

Now I'm going to be making some
bubbles and a super scrub brush

that will also resemble
a helicopter.

- I love it.
- Me, too.

- So, Terry,
you're a hilarious guy,

great actor, played in the NFL.

You're one of the most
inspiring people I know.

- Thank you.

- So, I need you to inspire
these teams.

Can you do it?
- I can do it.

- Alright, let's do it!
- Let's make it happen!

Hey! Hey! Hey!
Let's go!

The clock is running!

- We know!
- Make it happen!

Do it faster and better
and stronger...

and... more Lego-y.

- Is it good enough?

- It's beautiful.

- Yes!
- It's not good enough!

But it's not done!
- You're not done!

Do you wanna go home?
- Do you?

- Where do you wanna be?
- Here!

- Where?
- Here!

- Come on, get going!
- Alright!

- Sorry, Aaron, I just
had to go along with it,

I'm his sidekick.

Sam and Jessica!
- Yeah!

I love your smile.

- I love how happy you guys are.

But this is not the time!

- Do you wanna go home?
- I don't wanna go home.

I don't have a bed at home.
I sleep on an air mattress.

- Oooh! It's so sad!
- Too real!

My God!

- Let's make this work!
- Gonna make it work!

- You don't wanna go home.

- I don't wanna go home!
- You don't wanna go home.

You don't need your family
right now.

Where's your family?
- I need them later.

- We're your family!
I'm your son!

- You're my son?

- If you don't build this
right, I'm running away!

- No!
- And I'm never coming back!

And years of therapy!

- This is so sad.

- Gosh, this got really weird.

- It's really weird.

- How could you deny me?
- I'm sorry.

- Ooh!
- I'm sorry.

I think we did really great.

I think that was good.

- It was very inspiring.
- I know.

- Is that alright?
- Dude.

That looks great.
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

We're working side by side
with Sam and Jessica.

Both of our builds will
be merging together into one

so that our characters
will be battling each other.

So, what do you think?

Should we pull our stuff
to the center?

- We can do it.
- Should we do it right now?

Collaborating with Sam
and Jessica, we decided

we want our street level to be,
like, constant,

through the whole thing.
Like a unified build.

- Right there.
- Are you good? Yeah.

Beautiful.

Okay, so I'm gonna do
the sidewalk now.

- Our builds came together
beautifully.

I'm so glad, but we have
to complete our lair

and the battle scene,
so it's gonna be tough.

- This is right where
I'm gonna do

a three-hour time call.
- You know,

since it's my deal now,
and you're the sidekick,

I'm going to kick it off
right now.

Okay, three hours left, people!

Three hours left!

- Thanks, Terry!

- Was that the reaction
you were expecting?

- That was really good,
and he said thanks.

They've never thanked me.

They've never thanked me
for a time call.

- Very confident in our build.

Very excited to put it forward.

- We have a plan,
we're on schedule,

and we are proud of what
we've got so far.

- Hey, Aaron and Christian.

- So where's the story at?

- Yeah, where your heroes at?

- I'm building
for The Programmer

a sort of a flying Mech.

It's gonna have a USB arm.

And go down
to the basement level though,

and you get all the super stuff.

Weapons, robots,
tools of the trade.

- Okay, love your building here.

You've got a really clean
cartoony feel.

But it's missing the hint
of the hero that's inside.

We need to know there's
a hero in there.

- We just wanna make sure
you're bringing

all of that superhero world.

Bring it out as much as you can.

- Right.

- You can push the boundaries.

You can do something out of
the ordinary, fantastical,

unexpected, because that's what
we want from a superhero world.

- Thank you.
- Thanks so much.

There's still a lot of that
has to get done on

our personal end of this build,

but now we have to implement
some strong icons

on the outside of our building
or we may be going home.

They wanted
the hero more apparent.

- I think, yeah, they want all
of the super of it

more apparent.

This is the good versus evil
challenge.

We have to create a hideout
for our superheroes.

The biggest critique we're
getting is that

our hideout is a little
too hidden.

- Maybe we could build
a small, like, statue to him.

You know how they do that
with like Superman

when he dies?
- Right.

But she's alive.

We can probably bounce it off
Amy and Tyler

and see what they think.

As much as I think
asking Amy and Tyler for help

is a good idea, it's not
something I want to happen,

because I feel very embarrassed
to need to ask for help.

- Yeah, hey, can you all
come over real quick?

- We got a question.
- Yeah.

So, the
Brickmasters were concerned that

our hero is a bit too
like secluded in here.

I think they feel
like our world is too...

placid or too--
- Mundane?

- mundane.

- But aren't you having like
your bake sale out front?

- Yeah.

Do you have a plan to
have like an army staging area?

- That's kind of what we have,
is like, we've got--

our henchmen is organizing
the skeleton forces

that are coming out.

Maybe there's like
a manufacturing thing

we're they're just hammering
together robots--

- Right.
- to go into battle.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

- That sounds like-- sounds
good to me.

Thank you guys for your input.

- We really appreciate that.

- Sorry, Will, I gotta go.

It sounds like another
sidekick out there

needs a hero.

- Man.

Well, thanks for coming, Terry.

Am I ever gonna see you again
or--

- All you need to do is
to press that button.

Or tell your talent department
to book me on the show again.

They know my rate.

- Alright, see ya, man.

Now, Terry?
- Yup?

- The door, not the--
- Yeah.

- Bye, Terry!

- I love you guys!

It's so good to see you!

Thank you so much!
- Bye, son!

What an amazing day!

- There's so much going on.
- Yes.

I'm so envious of it.

This whole challenge, we've
been trying to keep up

with Mark and Boone because
they have nothing to lose

in this challenge.
They have a Golden Brick.

So having their build
compared side by side

makes me super nervous.

I don't know if Jessica and I
added enough elements

to save us.

We have to attach all those
bubbles somewhere.

Like where are we gonna
put 'em all?

- Where's our guy's fire
shooting at the robot?

- It's over here.

We're not just being
judged on our individual builds

but also creating the battle
together.

Aaron and Christian are just
throwing these things on.

We don't have a chance to
look at it or really see

if it looks good or not.

This makes me a little nervous.

- You've got ten minutes!

No way!

Holy cow!

- Should I have one more
person who's cheesed?

- Yeah, for sure.

- Go! Go, go, go.
Start placing.

I did it. I did it.

The little ducklings
could be over here

following down the street.

- There you go. I like it.

- Some random crabs to put
on here, too.

- That looks awesome.

- Alright, Builders, please
start bringing your builds

into the gallery.

- My God, okay,
let's go, let's go.

Start taking it in there.

- Careful.

- This one goes to the center.

- Go, go, go.

Be super careful
with that bump, guys.

- Careful, careful, careful.
That tower is--

Mark and Boone the last team.

Three, two one.

Time's up!
- Whoo!

Bricks down.

Wow, check it out, guys.

Look at these builds!

- We feel really confident
with what we've been

able to build.

And we're really
happy with our combined

story with Aaron and Christian.

I'm proud of the build
that we put together,

I think it's a really strong
model.

It commands attentions,
beautiful, polished.

Our battle scene really
elevates both of us.

- Awesome.

We loved working
with Mark and Boone.

We've done an underground lair
that resembles a bathroom.

We think it looks really cool.

We are really proud
of this build,

especially when you step back
and you look at it,

and it all looks like
it's a unified universe.

- Before we take a look at
your superhero builds,

Mark and Boone, would you
like to use

the Golden Brick to protect
you from elimination today?

Yes.

- We would like to use
the Golden Brick today.

- Great call.

Alright.

- Of course we're gonna use
the Golden Brick.

This challenge is our last
opportunity to use it.

Bye.

- As far as you are concerned,
my little 24-karet Lego brick,

I will see you next season.

Alright, Mark and Boone,
Sam and Jessica...

you're up first.

This is a nerve-racking judging.

Mark and Boone are safe,
so we know

one of the three teams
is gonna go home.

We are looking around the room,

seeing what everybody else has.

And I can't see us beating
Aaron and Christian

and Tyler and Amy and
their polished models.

I think this is finally
the end of our journey.

- For the first time
in this entire competition,

two teams shared
part of the build

in this battle
of good versus evil.

Mark and Boone, you guys
built your villains' lair.

Sam and Jessica, you guys
built your heroes' homebase,

and then you also built
your shared battleground.

Walk us through it.

It's the battle of the century.

Our characters,

the villainous Bear Costume Guy
and the evil Pizza Costume Guy.

Versus our heroic
Shower Guy and his mom.

In our battle,
evil Pizza Guy is creating

pizza minions to terrorize
the citizens.

But Shower Guy
and his mother, The Gardener,

are coming to clean up
this messy situation.

Shower Guy battles
the Panda of Mess

on his giant rubber ducky.

We've got ducks in
the hundreds to attack

pizza slices, we have bubbles
and sunflowers capturing

the pizza minions and spraying
the cheese off the civilians.

- You've never
seen a battle like this.

- This scene shows that you guys
work very well together.

The main characters
really pop nicely.

It's a dynamic scene.

I think
there's something about the way

you guys have done the scale
that's worked really well.

But you've also elevated
The Shower Guy so that it feels

like it's a real battle
that he can win.

- Mark and Boone, let's take
a look at your villains' lair.

I think you
were clever to actually restrict

your movement and lights to the
bad guys' basement,

because that's the first place
we wanna see.

And that computer with all those
flashing lights, brilliant.

You have great ambition
for this challenge.

The pizza conveyer belt,
very fun.

You managed to find something
evil about pizza.

And because
you have this complete story

of where they're created,
all the way to where they're

climbing up and terrorizing
the city,

we really understand
what's going on.

- You could've just stacked
some bricks and walked away

and put your feet up,

but you guys really went
for it this week.

Fantastic.
Great job, you guys.

Sam and Jessica, you guys picked

some really fun characters.

And you really have brought
out the humor

and the playfulness.

- Thank you.

- We're getting down to
the final, so we're getting

down to the details.

There's definitely some
polishing touches you could have

done that would have made
the model cleaner.

- Yeah.

- There's also a little bit
of chaos going on

and some kind of unfinished
edges.

Alright, guys, all
four of you, great job.

- We're feeling pretty good,
but the Brickmasters

have not reviewed
Aaron and Christian

or Tyler and Amy's build yet.

- They're gonna be
tough to beat.

- Next up, Christian, Aaron,
Tyler, and Amy.

- So, teams, tell us about
your battle between

good and evil.

It's a clash of the titans.

My and Tyler's Scorpion Queen
and The Archaeologist.

Versus our heroes,
The Programmer

and the Galactic Bounty Hunter.

The Scorpion Queen rides
her fire scorpion

to attack The Programmer
and the giant robot.

The scorpion's skeleton
minions fight

The Programmer's robots below.

From the air,
The Galactic Bounty Hunter

jets in on his spaceship.

While The Archeologist
zaps sun rays

from his magnifying glass.

It's a battle for the ages.

- I gotta be honest, I don't
know who I'd take

in a battle between
a skeleton and a robot.

- Brickmasters,
what do you think

about their shared battleground?

Really
powerful characters all around.

I think Aaron and Christian,

your robot is clearly ready
to battle.

Amy and Tyler, great scorpion.

That fire coming from
the tail, it's very dynamic.

- You can feel a strong
collaboration here

in the way that you've worked
with the scale.

I love that you've used
the obelisk to place

your model there so it feels
very dynamic.

Unfortunately, Tyler and Amy's
evil world

is the one that's
definitely dominant

when you
look at this scene as a whole.

- Even though we're working
with Aaron and Christian

on this combined build,

at the end of the day, we
still wanna come out on top.

- So, also, as part of
this challenge,

had to build individually.

Brickmasters, Jamie and Amy,

how do you think they did?

- Tyler and Amy, this is
a real wow for me.

This evil villain lair
really has a presence.

I think your queen is
wonderfully placed

in the throne.

I know this is a bad guy.

And having that scorpion
so prominent in the back

really tells us, "There's
something bad going on."

- I think this is a really
striking and bold model.

One thing that you've done
especially well

is you've put the studs
all over the outside.

And there's something about that

that really gives a true
Lego DNA to your build.

So, well done.

Aaron and Christian,
the lair of this Programmer

has quite a striking
composition.

I love that you have the USB.

It's great, this Mech.

And I love that you put
this Programmer

really visible inside.

This is where she comes
across as the hero

in the story, and you're
one of the only teams

who has a transformation,

and you've actually
brought it to life

with the motor function,
as well.

so, it's those fun details
that we're looking for.

But you have hidden them
inside the model,

because we can't see them.

What I do
see is a bake sale with robots.

And it's just really hard
to understand

what happened,
what's going on there.

Robots don't even eat
baked goods.

- One thing I do wish
we'd done more

was made our concept
a little more open.

Obviously, a lot of the details
I'm also really proud of

happen to be tucked inside.

I understand why
that's problematic.

- Alright, great job, you guys.

Thanks.
- Thank you.

- Now, our Brickmasters are
gonna go decide

whose origin story ends here.

This challenge is unique in that

it's the first time where if
your name isn't called

for the top two,
you know in that moment

you're gonna be
in the bottom two.

Christian and I produced
something of which

we can proud, but I'm not
sure if it's enough

to save us this week.

- The Brickmasters love that
we're creative,

and we have a good story,
but we they don't like

that our build doesn't
look "polished."

I don't know who's going home,

but I would be shocked
if we got to stay.

- Hello, Brickmasters.

Each one of these incredible
superhero story builds

showcase an out-of-this world
battle of good versus evil.

- All of us are so good
in different ways,

it's gonna be tough

who to tell who's gonna stay
and who's gonna go.

- There is no
middle ground this time.

You're either the top two
or the bottom two.

We have the confidence
that we are a very strong team.

- We're here to try and
win that trophy.

- Please pick the two builds

that were your favorite.

- Tyler and Amy.

- And Mark and Boone.

- So, Brickmaster Amy,
whose build

impressed you the most?

- The winning team is...

Tyler and Amy.
Well done, guys.

- Tyler and Amy, you created
a great evil character

of The Scorpion Queen, and every
single part of that kingdom

you created really backed up
that character.

- You had a brilliant build
with lots of clever features,

but also hidden stories
that were great.

- Thank you.

- This is insane.

- I can't believe it.

Maybe sometimes evil can win.

- Alright, Builders,
you know what comes next.

- Being in the bottom two
against Aaron and Christian

is the worst.

They are amazing builders,

and their builds are
so polished.

- Will the bottom two teams

please step forward?

Speaking the truth,

Sam and Jessica are some
amazing builders.

They do not believe
in themselves enough.

I really wish I could send
some confidence their way.

- Sam and Jessica, you guys
are so creative,

and there were so many
fun details that really

brought those kind of silly
superheroes that you had

to life, but we got lost
in the chaos of it all.

And at this stage
in the competition,

we're really looking for
refined builds

where everything counts.

- Aaron and Christian,
you're great builders.

And with any new challenge,

we know you can
put the bricks together.

But we really struggled to see
where your hero character was,

and we really weren't sure
where to look.

- Well, we gotta say
goodbye to one team.

Brickmaster Jamie...

who's it gonna be?

- The team...

that is going home today--

- is Aaron and Christian.

You guys have given us

some great builds
in the competition.

We're definitely
really sad to see you go.

But you know, it's final four
you've made it to,

so well done, guys.

It's really great achievement.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

Aaron and Christian,

you guys proved to be
great builders.

You're great guys.

You're a lot of fun
to have around.

Any final thoughts
before you go?

- Yeah, being here was
and is living the dream.

And you have to wake up
sometimes, but, um,

it's a dream I'm really
glad I got to experience.

Likewise.

Truly a treasure worth more
than any amount of money.

- I'm very sorry to see you go.

Unfortunately, your Lego
adventure ends here.

Please turn in your minifigs
and say goodbye.

Can I say goodbye first?

- It's disappointing to have
to leave the competition,

but I'll be able to look back
on this experience

with only pride in my heart.

- Until the end of the line,
pal.

- End of the line.

- This beautiful hobby
brought us together

and really got a brother
that I didn't expect

I'd have, you know?
- Yeah. Yeah, man.

- It's like being crushed
by a car compactor.

On next week's semifinal,

it's a Star Wars themed episode.

- You know what, guys?
It's a great idea.

You're gonna rebuild
iconic Star Wars moments

with Lego.
- Whoo!

- My goodness.

The Force is strong
with our top three teams.

- We're coming for you,
Amy and Tyler.

- Bring it on!

- I thought it was quite clever.

- It's making you smile.

- This is the only
expression I have.
