Catfish: The TV Show (2012–…): Season 4, Episode 5 - Chitara & Priscilla - full transcript

A woman searches for answers when her relationship ends unexpectedly.

>> Oh, man.

I can see her house on the GPS.

>> This is even more crazy.

'Cause just back in August

I was literally up this way.

>> Oh.

Just don't even know

who this person is gonna be.

>> This ain't nothing how she

described her house to be.

>> My hands are shaking.

>> I don't even know

what I'm feeling right now.

>> Hi, I'm Nev.

and I'm jumping into

the fourth season of Catfish.

>> Gonna have a heart attack.

>> But starting off,

things are a little different.

We don't have Max.

>> Action.

>> My co-host is directing

We Are Your Friends,

his first feature film

starring Zac Efron.

So, for five episodes...

>> What's up, Nev?

>> I'll be on the road

with guest partners...

>> Catfish!

>> What's this, a TV monitor?

Whoo!

>> But the mystery--foot fetish?

>> Don't you follow no angry

black man into their house.

>> Deception...

>> This could be

the biggest family betrayal

this show has ever seen.

>> Forgiveness...

>> There might be hope for you

if you are honest

from the get-go.

>> And shocking twists are back.

We don't know what the hell

is coming out of that house.

>> What the [bleep]?

>> This is Catfish: The TV Show.

Hi, and welcome back to the Nev

spends a lot of time

alone in hotel rooms show.

Nobody's here.

It's just big, empty, cold bed.

No Max.

But in the meantime,

the show must go on.

This next co-host is someone

who is, in fact,

partially responsible

for Max not being here.

His name is Alex Shaffer...

>> I'll be okay.

>> He's a great actor.

He's an awesome young guy.

He just finished

shooting a movie with Max

and we're gonna Skype

him in right now.

Yeah! Hey, buddy.

>> How's it going?

>> In your observation of Max,

do you think you could kind of

bring a little bit

of that character to the show?

>> I mean, I could

channel a little bit.

Yeah, definitely, it's like,

his face when he's, like,

anxious is, like, kinda this...

>> Yep, that's so...

Yeah, he really

has that pinched brow.

Yeah, you got it.

[both laughing]

Let's get this thing

going and read this email.

The subject of the email

is, capital letters "OMG.

Who the hell broke up with me?

Help!"

>> So, they got broken up with?

>> But they don't know who.

>> Yeah, let's get into it.

>> All right,

hello, my name is Chitara.

I'm 28 years old.

Born and raised

in Durham, North Carolina

and a mother of two children.

I am reaching out to you guys

because I met a young lady

by the name of Priscilla

online six months ago.

Priscilla is 22

and is a professional nurse.

We met on a site called

MocoSpace.

From there, things took off.

We talked every day, all day.

I fell in love with her.

But, there were some concerns.

She told me that she

lived in Durham as well.

Whenever we made plans to meet

something always came up.

Even video chatting

with her was like pulling teeth.

Needless to say, we never met

or video chatted.

Last month, she told me

that she no longer loved me

and that everything she said

and felt was nothing but lies.

>> Oh, ow, that poor girl.

It's so mean.

>> I'm left with

so many questions.

Mainly, why?

I still want to meet her

and get the answers

to the questions that I have.

Can you guys please help?

>> I have been dumped

in such a way.

I was very close

to a girl in the past

and she really just

ended all ties with me and yeah,

I can relate to our lady,

Chitara here.

That's terrible.

>> To not even really understand

who that person is

and why they broke up with you

is like an extra sort

of awful element.

What do you think?

Alex, can you help Chitara?

>> I think we can help.

>> All right.

So, I'm gonna try and add her

to this call a second.

>> Oh, okay.

[phone dials]

>> Hey.

>> Hi!

>> Hello.

>> Hi, Alex.

>> You have two kids,

which is amazing.

Were you married,

or you had a boyfriend?

>> I was engaged to their father

at some point in time.

But of course I'm not now.

>> Would you call

yourself bisexual?

>> Yes, I've been interested

in females

for as long as I can remember.

I met Priscilla on MocoSpace

and I just--I thought she was

very, very attractive.

What she said on her profile

interested me

because I could relate.

She was just saying

how she has been heartbroken.

We would stay up all night

just laughing and joking.

>> This is on the phone?

>> Yeah.

It got to a point

where we could not go to sleep

if we weren't on the phone

together.

>> That's really sweet.

That's, ah.

>> Yeah, well,

it's kinda cute now

that you think about it, huh?

>> Yeah, so, how could you over

the course of those six months

not meet up with her?

>> Honey, your guess is as good

as mine.

I never understood.

It was like every time,

something came up.

>> You've watched the show.

>> Yes, and I really started to

feel like I was being Catfished.

And I brought it up

in a conversation.

I was like,

am I being Catfished?

And she was like, no,

I had a feeling

you were thinking that.

But that's not it.

It's just things keep coming up.

It was just really

suspect the entire time.

But I guess I was blinded.

And then she told me

that her mom passed.

That's when I could kind of

sense that things were changing.

She kind of withdrew from me.

And so,

I was like you seem distant.

She sent me this long message

and was like,

I am interested

in somebody else.

And it was a him.

>> It was a guy?

>> She told me everything that I

told you I felt was a lie.

Everything.

I'm like, really?

>> You guys were, like, falling

asleep on the phone together.

That's not--you don't fake

that unless, like, you're,

like, really, like, crazy.

>> This was only about a month

ago that you guys broke up.

Do you think

that you still love her?

>> I'm conflicted.

I loved her.

I did.

It was real for me.

>> This is an interesting

and new kind of story for us

because getting dumped sucks.

I want to help you.

>> Thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

>> Hang tight,

we'll be there, soon.

>> Bye.

>> See you soon.

>> See you, guys.

Okay, well,

I've got my marching orders.

I know what I need to do.

Let's start another crazy,

epic adventure

of Catfish: The TV Show.

What's up, dude?

>> I'm ready.

>> How you doing?

>> I'm doing good.

So, you're the new Max?

>> I am the new Max.

>> You feel like you're going to

do a good job filling his shoes?

>> I'm gonna do my best.

>> All right, I like your style.

Well then, let's do it.

>> Let's do it.

>> Catfish!

>> [laughs]

>> both: Hey.

>> Hi!

>> Hi, this is Alex.

>> Hi, Alex.

>> Good to see you.

>> Oh, look at that.

Right in there for the hug.

>> I just...

>> Come in.

>> Run in.

>> We got the whole crew

here, too.

>> Hi, crew.

>> How's the Bull City

treating you?

>> Bull City?

>> Bull City, I like that.

You got to put the fingers

out, yeah.

>> What was so special about

Priscilla that made you, like--

>> She just

was a little more mature

than most 22 year olds.

And she just seemed like she was

a genuine, caring person.

Sometimes being a mom,

it can get stressful.

And so, I would call her,

or I would let her know, like,

how I was feeling

and she would always offer

some words of encouragement.

When I needed her,

she was there.

And that's what mattered

the most to me.

>> So, she said she lived in?

>> Said she lived in Durham.

>> Lived in Durham?

>> But she would never tell

me where.

>> Have you ever, like,

called her out and asked her?

>> I asked, I was like, do you

really live in Durham, for real?

Be real with me.

Be honest.

Yeah, I do, I do.

I'm like, okay.

>> Before with the guy

who you had your children with,

had you had any girlfriends?

>> Yes, one serious girlfriend.

>> And were you public about

that with your...

>> No.

>> Friends and family?

>> No.

>> No, okay, so, that was a sort

of secret girlfriend?

>> Yeah, until I met Priscilla.

And when I met her

that's when I told,

like, my aunts and uncles

and I was like,

you know, I have a girlfriend.

I showed pictures.

Like, they was, like,

oh, she's pretty.

>> And how did your family

take it when you told them

that you were dating a girl?

>> Yeah, they were fine.

I was ready to be serious.

>> And then, just all

of a sudden out of nowhere?

>> I'm interested

in somebody else.

And what the hell?

>> Let's just see this girl.

Oh.

>> She's very pretty.

>> Here she is.

Kissy face.

>> I have lots of pictures,

thousands of text messages.

It was people who lived together

who probably didn't talk as much

as we did.

>> Well, these are like...

>> Full-fledged conversations.

>> Like, real conversations.

>> Yeah.

It had to me for me

to have come out to,

like, my family and risk

the possibility of everybody

being, like, the hell with you.

And so it's like,

what the hell happened?

What went wrong?

>> If we do end up

getting an explanation from her

and it makes some sense,

don't you think

maybe this could still work out?

>> I--I guess

she would have to come up

with a damn good explanation.

She would have to work her ass

off to get my heart again.

>> So, there is a slim chance?

>> She ripped my heart apart.

And, like, even now

sitting here, like,

reading over those messages,

like, it hurts.

>> You still definitely find

her sexy and attractive?

>> Help me no more.

She can still get the business.

Got to get--

>> Wait a second,

wait, she'll still get down?

>> She can still get

the business.

I'm--she bad.

>> Well, this just

got a lot more exciting.

>> Uh-huh.

>> You look at some pictures,

just to get the business.

>> All right.

>> She can still

get the business.

>> So, let's just get to it.

>> Thank you, bye.

>> For me it's strange

someone can go from being

an incredibly loving,

communicative person

who talks on the phone all night

long to all of a sudden

just a cold, distant woman.

>> Really could be the case

that she is actually a lesbian

and that the people

in her real life...

>> Found out?

>> Yeah.

>> It was like, end that now.

So, it really could be anything

at this point.

Anything is possible.

>> Ready to crack this case?

>> Oh, yeah.

>> In a hotel lobby.

We're about to do a pretty

high-tech internet search.

And I'm just not confident...

>> Wow.

>> That my associate

in this investigation

is gonna be much service.

Could you just show everybody

the phone that you're using?

It's a 3, dude.

You don't seem to have

a tremendous amount

of appreciation for technology.

Anyway, let's get back

to our job here.

>> Let's do it.

>> We've got a 28 year old...

>> Chitara.

>> Who had a six month

relationship with Priscilla.

They talked very intimately

exchanging thousands

of text messages.

Sending sexy photos.

Then, Priscilla tells Chitara

she actually met a guy and

just sort of drops her.

At which point Priscilla

admits none of the relationship

has been real for her.

She's faked the whole thing.

Let's search

Priscilla's pictures.

Drag it in.

>> No match.

>> No match--okay,

let's try this next picture.

Nope, no match.

>> Not at all her.

You know what I think

our best bet

is to just check out

the MocoSpace next.

>> Priscilla's MocoSpace

profile.

Which is where she met Chitara.

Whoa, who is this?

Kolani has been posting

on Priscilla's page a ton.

Kolani wrote on Priscilla's wall

in May,

Ovoo last night was too much.

So, that's interesting 'cause

if Kolani Ovooed with Priscilla,

that would mean that presumably

two actual individuals

were talking and maybe even

looking at each other.

But then, why would she video

chat with this girl, Kolani,

and not Chitara?

>> It's absurd.

>> Let's check out

Kolani's MocoSpace profile.

Okay, "Just an Atlanta native

who loves dancing.

I'm 20 years old.

I'm a lesbian, so ladies

you are more than welcome

to hit me up."

Okay, let's just do a search

for Kolani [bleep].

Yeah, she's all over the place.

Lot of images.

She's got a Twitter.

Let's check that out

really fast.

Wow, 29,000 followers.

So, this girl

is, like, out there.

Let's just do a Facebook search.

Oh, my god.

There's a lot for this girl...

>> A lot of people became...

>> So, clearly, this girl

has a lot of fake profiles

of her 'cause there's a bunch.

If this girl,

whoever she really is,

has a lot of fake profiles,

I think it's safe

to assume that the profile that

we found of Kolani on MocoSpace

is probably also fake.

>> I actually had a friend

in high school

who was dating this girl

and she created a fake town

with people where she pretended

to be all these different people

and they would, like,

comment on each other's walls

and do all of these things

on Facebook.

And it was really just her

the entire time.

>> Right, so, it's possible

that Priscilla,

like your friend in high school,

also made up one or two others

to make her seem legit.

The person she talks to a lot,

Kolani [bleep]...

>> And the girl

she also said she Ovooed with.

>> Right?

Is likely fake.

Let's see, look.

Kolani, profile was started the

same exact time as Priscilla's.

Last login.

Priscilla, October 23rd.

Kolani's last login...

both: October 23rd. That's not--

>> Yeah, yeah,

that's not a coincidence.

>> All right, so these pages

are definitely run

by the same person.

>> Yes!

>> Yes, and if we know

one of them is Priscilla,

then she must be running

both of these pages.

>> We got it--we got something.

We got something.

>> Who is this girl, Priscilla?

And what would cause someone

to completely cut off the person

that they clearly

were passionately,

madly in love with?

>> Hey.

>> Have a look at this beautiful

picture window, right?

>> Wow, yeah.

>> What a view?

>> Morning, Alex.

>> Oh, god.

>> Let's go.

Come on.

We got to call Chitara.

It's gonna be comfortable

to sleep on this bed tonight.

>> All right.

We need to check in

with our girl.

[phone dials]

Hey, lady.

>> Hi!

>> We wanted to sort of just

check in and see

what you're up to.

>> Sounds like my kind

of afternoon activity.

Is that cool

if we meet you there?

Oh, you're going down.

>> Oh, no.

I'm beating you so bad

on go-karts.

>> You are going down.

>> Yeah?

>> Wonder who her friends are.

>> I hope it's not, like,

a whole bunch of, like,

girls my age so you can just

embarrass me the entire time.

>> Hope that her friends

can offer some good

insight into the situation.

>> Here we go.

With the cameras, all good?

>> No records.

Let's go find our girl, Chitara.

Hey.

>> Hi!

>> Chitara!

>> Alex!

>> Let's get to know each other

a little bit better by having

some fierce competition.

>> I'm gonna beat Nev.

>> Whoo!

>> How do you do that?

This is such [bleep].

>> Whoo!

>> Make up.

>> Technically, I didn't get

a good start in the beginning.

>> I'm over it, I'm done.

I'm over it, come on.

>> They said have fun!

>> I'm over it, I'm done.

>> So, when did you first

hear about Priscilla?

>> It came up in conversation.

She hides a lot of things.

>> Not just relationship

stuff, but?

>> No, I mean just things

that go on with her.

Family.

>> I mean, I'm sure

you can understand

and appreciate her sensitivity

towards openly discussing

her bisexuality.

>> I think as far as her family.

I think her friends she was

more open to telling everybody.

'Cause your friends

are not gonna judge you as much

as your family is.

For her to do this now,

on national TV.

She really,

really cares about Priscilla.

And...

>> I mean, I

think she might still love her.

>> She--I think she

does still have feelings.

It may even come to the point

where she sees her

and everything can be explained,

she might still want

to be with her.

>> I think it is about love.

Even though she says it's just

about getting answers

and closure.

>> It's about love.

>> Right.

>> People go above and beyond

for love all the time.

>> You got some good friends

here who clearly have your back.

>> Auntie, and Pud.

>> Yeah, what did you guys

know about her?

>> All I knew was

it was somebody in her life

that just put her in a funk.

>> You should open up sometimes,

you know?

Don't keep it all inside.

We're gonna take her, now.

We've got a lot that we've been

doing research-wise

in the last 24 hours.

We got some stuff to talk about.

>> Oh, Jesus.

>> Here we are.

>> Let's go back to where it all

started, which is MocoSpace.

We went back

to Priscilla's profile.

So, then we thought okay, let's

scroll down because there's,

like, a message board.

So, the other person that we

see posting a ton of comments...

>> Kolani.

>> Is Kolani [bleep].

>> I don't know if that name,

you know, sounds familiar

or anything.

>> No.

>> This comment caught our eye.

"Ovoo last night was too much."

Do you think if she's Ovooed

with Kolani then--

>> She's ovooed somebody,

video chatted with somebody.

What's the issue

with doing it with me?

>> Right--we thought, well,

if Kolani has seen her

and knows it's her then this

actually could be Priscilla.

So, we did a search

for Kolani [bleep] on Facebook

and found dozens of profiles

with the same pictures,

same name...

>> Name, yeah.

>> Crazy how many profiles

this girl has of her.

>> Oh, wow.

Okay.

>> So, what does this mean?

We went back

to Kolani's MocoSpace profile.

And we were looking at it,

and looking at it.

But then we finally noticed

holy [bleep] the profile

was started the same exact time

as Priscilla's,

and they have the exact

same last login.

>> Obviously, it's somebody

who has two profiles

at least at once.

>> At least.

>> Hm, but why?

Like, what's--I guess

what's the point of doing this?

Like, what do you get out of it?

Like, at the end of the day

when you go to sleep at night,

what do you get

out of doing this?

>> I think she gets you

out of it.

'Cause she was going

to sleep talking to you.

And what I find most

crazy about this is

she literally did this for you.

She posted it

from her other account

and then commented on it.

>> There's still a ton

that we don't know.

>> A ton?

>> We don't really

know who Priscilla is.

>> Yep.

>> We don't really even know

where she lived.

But what we do know

is that there's a very,

very high likelihood

that her MocoSpace profile...

>> And Kolani [bleep].

>> And Kolani [bleep]

are both totally fake.

It definitely suggests

a very dark or twisted

mind game that this girl

was playing with you

and potentially

with other people also.

>> Now, more than anything

I want answers.

More so than I did before.

'Cause there are more questions,

now.

>> The reality is,

the most effective way

that we can start

to get some real answers

is just to go straight

to the source

and call Priscilla.

>> Mm-hmm.

>> Come up with some kind

of a strategy of what we

want to say to her and see

if she'll meet up with us.

>> Yeah.

>> What can we say that it'd be

good for her to tell the truth?

That you really

need the closure?

>> Pretty much.

Wow.

>> I could text her.

So, hello, Priscilla.

This is Nev

from the MTV show, Catfish.

Chitara has gone through a lot

of trouble to try and meet you

and has even solicited our help

to make that happen.

If you still care for her

as much as it seems you once

did please contact me so we

can try and work something out.

All right, well, here it goes.

Now, I guess we just kinda

wait and see what happens.

>> Yeah.

>> But right now the ball

is in her court.

>> Pretty much.

Whoever she is.

>> Hey.

>> Good morning.

>> We have not heard

back from Priscilla.

>> She would definitely be,

like, you know, scared.

>> We need to get this girl

on the phone.

The last time you called her,

she answered?

>> Yeah.

>> Maybe you should call

from your phone

and if she sees that,

that might be our best shot.

>> I'll give it a shot.

It's worth a try.

>> It is worth a try.

[phone dials]

>> Hello.

Are you busy?

No, it's not strange.

He's standing right here

with me.

>> Hello, is this Priscilla?

Hi, this is Nev.

I am here with Chitara

and you guys

seem to have something

very special and real.

And so, we were wondering

if maybe you'd be interested

in taking an opportunity now

to sit down and meet up

and talk.

>> Don't make me flip out.

>> Okay,

while you maybe feel

like your life has sort

of moved on and continued

since then.

Chitara's feelings

are still kind of mixed up.

And she just would love to get

a chance to finally see you

and talk to you.

Which would be the thing

that would help her kind of

move on.

>> Do you want to say something?

>> No.

>> Obviously this is something

that's important enough to her

that she was willing

to go on a TV show.

And she's really kind of going

out of her comfort zone.

It just seems

like the right thing

to do to look each other

in the eye,

say what you need to say

and that would be it.

Okay, great.

All right, that's what

we want, too.

All right, so,

text me your address

and we'll head over

in a little bit.

Okay, thank you.

You okay?

>> I'm good.

>> You looked like you

were ready to burst.

>> She made it seem

like I was thirsty.

>> I understand, but I just...

>> I don't like that.

>> Don't want her to get to you.

Oh, I think she just texted me.

So, we now have our address.

She lives an hour and 15 minutes

away in Greensboro.

>> Let's go.

>> Let's do it.

>> There's probably

so many answers that you want.

>> Well, we're really doing it.

>> * This was always

* Meant to be

* And I feel it

* All around you and me

* So this would be

* The perfect time

* To throw it all away

>> With her it's like,

how could you have felt that

and now it's like, whatever.

>> Right.

>> Once I care,

I will always care,

and always want the best,

and will always

be there for you.

>> Well, in less than an hour,

we'll get the answers

we're looking for.

>> * How easily it goes away

>> Oh, man, I can see

her house on the GPS.

Like, I can see the little

checkered flag.

>> Oh, my gosh.

>> This is even more crazy

'cause just back in August

I was literally up this way.

>> Wow...you guys

were still together?

>> Yeah.

>> I'm nervous.

>> Me, too.

>> I'm sure.

>> Just don't even know

who this is person is gonna be.

>> Yeah, exactly.

Like, who am I gonna see?

This ain't nothing how she

described her house to be.

>> Just.

[big exhale]

>> Let's do it.

>> Oh, my gosh, this is crazy.

I can only imagine how you feel.

>> So far, I don't even

know what I'm feeling right now.

>> My hands are shaking.

>> Hey, how are you, Nev?

>> Hi...nice to meet you.

>> Nice to meet you, too.

>> I'm Nev.

>> Priscilla.

>> Sorry?

>> I'm Priscilla, or whatever.

>> Well, you're Priscilla

or whatever?

>> No, my real name's Ashanti

but you guys

know me as Priscilla.

>> Ashanti?

>> Yes, my name's Ashanti.

>> Okay, well,

I obviously came here...

>> Wow.

>> With...

>> I'm, like, oh, my god.

>> Chitara.

You don't mind coming over?

>> Hi.

>> This is Ashanti.

>> Ashanti.

>> Okay, you know Chitara,

obviously.

>> Yes, I do.

>> I'm curious.

How old are you?

>> 18.

>> So, you're a little younger?

>> Mm-hmm, yes, like, what?

>> A couple years younger.

Four, right?

>> Couple years then, yeah.

>> Okay.

>> Why?

>> Why what?

>> Why do all of this?

>> I tried to break it off.

I tried.

I tried to remove myself to you

plenty of times.

>> Not once did

you ever say I'm lying to you...

>> 'Cause I didn't know

how to say it.

>> And when we have, I opened

a window plenty of times.

>> Plenty of times,

but it's not 'cause I can just,

like, automatically get out

and tell you.

>> I opened a door when we had

the conversation about catfish.

>> Okay, you opened the door,

you opened the door,

you opened the door...

>> What did you say?

>> I say--what did I say?

I said I'm not...

>> Catfishing.

>> 'Cause that's my way

of retaliating that no

I couldn't lie to you,

even though I was lying

I wasn't able to,

like, fully come out to you

even though you opened the door

you so-called said.

Like, I didn't think

it would be that big of a deal.

I kind of thought that you knew.

But I didn't really--

>> How am I supposed to know?

>> I just assumed that you did.

>> How?

>> I got broken off, what is it?

Like when I broke up

in September--

>> Well, even if you assumed

that she knew you

weren't being totally honest,

which she was suspicious of,

of course at times...

>> Yeah, I know

she was suspicious.

>> There's no way

for her to have known

who you actually were.

So, the only way she would have

known that is if you had said,

like, look,

I want to talk to you.

>> When the only thing

you had to do was say,

and be honest with me, up front.

I am not who I say I am.

I am not 22.

I am 18.

>> Okay.

>> Like,this [bleep]

that you doing

is a dangerous game.

Like, real talk.

>> I understand.

I don't do it anymore.

You're the last one.

I'm telling you, like,

I'm through with everything.

>> Well, you know, I'm gonna

chalk all this up to the fact

that you're 18.

>> When did you turn 18?

>> No, it's not to--

I turned 18 October.

>> Just turned 18.

>> Just turned [bleep].

>> Yep,

just turned 18 in October.

>> So, this is weeks

of recently turning 18?

>> Yeah.

>> You have some seriously

growing up and maturing

to do because this whole...

>> Honestly, yeah--

>> [bleep] this whole [bleep]

was all [bleep] up.

>> Pretend I got a lot

of things to learn.

>> She's [bleep] just turned 18.

>> I think it's hard

for anybody.

>> Duh, we just

established that like,

a couple minutes ago.

>> I'm not talking to you.

I'm having a conversation

with myself.

>> Okay, conversation

with yourself.

>> Dismissed.

>> Bitch don't [bleep]

dip that [bleep] to me.

>> Dismissed.

Did she just call me a bitch?

>> Whoa, whoa, whoa.

>> I'm done. Like, I'm done.

>> Did she just call me a bitch?

>> You can just go.

You can just go.

>> Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

>> Did she just call me a bitch?

That [bleep] gonna

call me a bitch?

I ain't the one.

Come see me.

You remember you got my address.

Come see me.

>> Okay.

>> Kiss my mother [bleep] ass.

>> [bleep] you too, bitch.

>> Oh [bleep].

>> I feel like I could talk

to her for a minute.

>> Hey.

How are you, you know?

>> She's a baby.

This girl can't even sit

at the bar with me and drink.

[knocks]

>> Hi.

>> Hi.

>> I just wanted to have

a quick chat if that's okay?

>> Yeah.

>> Is there a story

or an explanation

you want to kind of just offer

or do you have anything

you want to say

since you're here now and?

You can understand

she's upset...

>> I know she's upset.

>> Obviously, right?

And so, she's just dealing

with it in the way

that she deals with it.

>> I am--let me not say

I'm not mad.

>> Yeah, 'cause I mean it's...

>> Let me not say I'm not mad.

>> This is a really...

>> Let me not say I'm not mad.

>> Crazy moment, right now...

>> 'Cause that's

an understatement.

This is a dangerous game

she playing.

A real dangerous game.

>> You really did care for her.

>> When you met her,

it was as the Priscilla profile?

>> Yes, as Priscilla profile.

>> Which you created and had

been using for some time or?

>> Yeah, I've been

using fake profiles for a while.

It all started when I was,

like, at least very young, 13.

>> Okay, so a story

that you told her,

you met somebody else?

>> Yeah, I met somebody

else early September.

>> A guy?

>> Yeah.

>> Okay, so is that accurate?

I mean--

>> Yeah, it's accurate.

>> I'm sorry to ask this but,

like, some of the stories

that you told her

regarding some family tragedies.

That stuff's not true?

>> That's some stuff

I really not want to put.

>> But your mom is...

>> She's alive.

>> Healthy, and alive?

>> Yeah, she's alive,

so that's--

>> I'm glad to hear that 'cause

I understand you told her

that your mother passed away.

>> Mm-hmm.

>> At this point I don't even

want answers to anything.

I'm [bleep] done.

>> You don't even?

>> I don't even really

want to know, 'cause

obviously there's some

[bleep] going on within her.

>> Sorry, I just can't believe

I'm talking to you face to face.

>> It would be different. Okay--

>> I never thought

I'd be on here, so.

>> Well, it can't come as

too much of a surprise.

You've been creating

fake profiles for five years.

>> I know, but I didn't think,

like, this would happen

right here.

>> I would like to talk

about maybe finding some time

tomorrow.

I don't want the situation

to end the way it ended.

We'll figure something

out for tomorrow.

>> Okay, all right.

Bye.

>> Wow, what a story.

>> This is some very,

very immature stuff.

There's something

not right there.

Everything a lie.

Everything.

>> She definitely was trying

to put it on you.

>> Do you feel like that was

an ending to this?

I don't.

I think there's

a very different person

that we didn't meet today.

>> This is something

that she does continuous.

This isn't like her first time.

She's done this before.

It's something

going on within her.

>> This episode of Catfish:

The TV Show continues now.

[phone dials]

>> Hello?

>> Hello, Ashanti?

Hi, good morning.

It's Nev with Chitara and we

were just discussing the idea

of coming to meet you if you're

willing to sit down with us

and have a heart to heart.

Great, see you

in a little bit.

All right, thanks.

I think maybe if we

come at her in, like,

a calmer approach.

>> Yeah, at that point

I can better understand why she

would do some of these things.

What was real?

Like, what part of what you

told me was really real.

>> Okay.

>> Can it be where, like,

ya'll talk and I just take in

everything that she's saying...

>> For sure.

>> And then after she

finishes I can comment?

>> For sure.

>> Okay, that'll work.

>> Okay, I think it's great that

we can all sit down together

and have a civil conversation.

I feel like the Ashanti

we met yesterday

is not really who you are.

>> Mm-hmm.

>> And yesterday

we found out that perhaps one

of the most personal things

about your mom

passing away wasn't true.

So, now she's kind of totally...

>> Yeah, and I feel bad

about that one, but--

>> How can she know

what's real or not real.

>> I mean, I know I

shouldn't have done it.

It's really bad, but yeah.

>> Over the last five years

you've had a bunch

of different accounts.

Most of them have been

using different pictures.

>> Mm-hmm.

>> How many people would you say

in that time you had,

like, a sincere connection with?

>> Not that many.

>> How did those relationships,

you know, end up?

>> I would just,

like, I don't know, I got bored

and decided to just move on.

>> Were they in love with you?

>> I honestly don't know.

Probably, but, you know?

I did have feelings for you.

I actually did,

even though I lied to you,

I really did.

I was actually able to, like,

talk about certain situations

and things that were

bothering me.

>> I just don't get it.

>> Sort of fill in all the holes

for us about how you got here.

>> When I was 13, it was

a whole bunch of drama going on.

And so, that's when,

like, basically my whole world

just fell apart.

It was really hard

because there was a time

where I was separated

from my mom.

Around that time she was trying

to find us a place to live.

And so, you know,

I decided one day, you know,

why not just escape and become

someone else for a day?

So, that's when everything

really started.

Like, you do anything

just to escape, you know?

>> Now, I understand

a little bit more about

your situation with your family.

What do you think

about Chitara and

how she feels

about this whole situation?

>> I mean,

I understand how she feels.

I feel the same way, really.

Like, just all the bad,

negative feelings.

'Cause I knew she didn't

deserve that, to be lied to.

I was scared, you know,

to actually, like confess

and kind of reveal my real self.

>> You can't keep running.

At some point you

have to face whatever it is

that you're going through,

and if you don't

it's a downhill spiral

after that, so.

>> I do appreciate it.

>> You guys ready to go?

>> Yes.

>> Yeah.

>> * If you come to find out

* Who you are

>> Nice to meet you.

>> It was nice to meet

you too, Nev.

>> Good luck with everything.

>> All right, thank you.

>> See you.

>> Good bye, everybody.

>> See you later.

>> * And if you come search

* For what is lost

>> Are you still mad?

>> Not mad.

>> I thought you handled it

incredibly well in there.

>> I guess the best answer

I could say is why she

did was to escape reality.

I guess that's the answer

to it right there.

Other than that,

as to why go to this extent,

and to involve other people

in it?

I don't think she knows why.

>> Oh, there we go, hey!

>> Hi!

>> Can you see us?

How you doing?

>> I'm doing great.

When we walked away that day,

that was it.

It was said and done.

And I kept it moving.

>> So, you haven't really

thought about her or felt,

or, like, talked about it?

>> I thought

about the situation,

but as far as her?

No.

Because if I could get it,

make it come back

and the same thing

can happen again my resolution

is just, you know,

do better, get better.

I'ma get there.

>> All right, well, I got to go.

>> Nice to speak to you,

and nice to see you, Alex.

>> Good seeing both of you guys.

>> All right.

>> Bye.

>> The most beautiful girl

I've ever seen.

>> I do have a feeling

that this could be the one

that I end up spending my life

with.

>> Double Catfish scheme?

>> All right,

get ready for anything.

>> Wait, this could be our guy.

I'm a little confused.

What do you think

is gonna happen?
