Barnen på Luna (2000): Season 1, Episode 3 - Avsnitt 3 - full transcript

After a week at sea, the children learn that a police boat is searching for them.

We've been on board Luna for nine days now.

I've got used to the rocking all the time.

They've put out descriptions
of us on the radio.

We keep out of sight.

We travel early in the morning and
in the evening before it gets dark.

Glenn says we're running away from society
and that we're their prey.

It sounds exciting and important.

We're on the lookout for islands
with no houses, where we can drop anchor.

It's still too cold to swim.

There's a better atmosphere on board
and we're friends most of the time.

We don't tidy up often because
we don't have so much stuff.

We take turns cooking.
We eat well.

Soup and crispbread.
Sometimes macaroni, sometimes rice.

Sometimes just crispbread.

But at the weekend we open a can ...

- Was that good?

I think about grandma a lot.

I've saved her letter.

I'll open it later,
when I miss her most.

We're out of water!

That's the last of the water.

It has to last a long time.

Thanks.

We'll have to steal some water.
- Steal it!

- You know we can't let anyone see us.

- Don't steal it!

- There's a campsite. They'll have water.
- We're not thieves!

- It's only water!
- Stealing is stealing.

- Oh lay off.

- We're not all as used as you to stealing.
- What're you saying?

- I don't like it either.
- You think I like it?

- We do have the police hunting for us.
You haven't forgotten that, have you?

- We aren't thieves. At least I'm not!

I don't steal. I don't!

Okay, we have to be quiet.
We can't talk, so we use signs. Okay?

What?
- Get more hose!

Are they after us?
- No.

Yes they are! It's a police boat!
- What?

- It's a police boat. Faster!

I can't outrun a police boat!
- Faster!

We shouldn't have taken the water.

- It's passed us! It's going away.

It's turning. It's coming back!

Come on, Luna! Quick!

We'll stay here.

Where's Torsten?

Torsten! Where are you, Torsten?

He's probably at grandma's.
- Shut up!

Hello!
- He's up there!

What are you doing?

Isn't it beautiful?

- Just lovely!
- You can see so far!

- Can't we stay here? No one can see us.
- Where? - Right here.

- Imagine if we could stay...

- This could be our island.

We'd be able to hide. And hide the boat.

- I want to do that!

- I'm hungry.

Just think ...

What if we stayed?

- What?

- Hide the boat.
Fix up some kind of house.

Stay and lie low.

What are you thinking?

- What you said.

I don't know.

- I'll help you with it tomorrow.

Good night.
- Good night.

Karl Oskar leaned anxiously over Kristina.

Her face was green and pale.
Emaciated in the weak daylight down there.

She couldn't keep down either wet
or dry food. She was racked by vomiting.

And the pregnancy
probably affected her too.

He started to worry about his wife.
This couldn't go on.

The voyage across the ocean to North
America was more dangerous ...

... than he had ever imagined.

You're crazy!
- You're crazy! It's dead cold!

- Look!

- I know!

Pull the boat towards the bow!

Doesn't seem to be anyone in.
- No.

Every day someone moors here.

- What is it?

- Wake up, the police are here!

9970 from 70.
- 9970 receiving. Over.

- Motor boat anchored at Vaxholm. Over.
- Roger that. Over and out.

That's Källholmen, right?
We'll come back here later.

They have to learn not to drop anchor
anywhere they like. It drives me crazy!

- This one's empty.
- OK, we've got a call.

What are we going to do now?
- Can we stay here?

- Of course we can't! Are you that stupid?
- No, we can't stay here.

- Is it always going to be like this?
Running and running ...

We haven't done anything.
Well, we stole some water.

- And anchored on forbidden—
- Stop going on about that water!

- I think we've two options.
First, go back.

We give up. Break our oath.

I understand, if that's what you want.

- But what about you?
- I'm happy to run, I'm free.

- But when we can't run any more,
what then?

When we're out of food and money?

- Yes!

- What's this?

- From grandma.
- Open it, then!

How much is there?
- I don't know.

- Five hundred kronor. How much freedom
can you get for five hundred kronor?

- Where does this go?

- I don't know.

- That's nice! Who is it?

- That's grandma, and that's Mum.

1973 ...

- What is it?
- The house!

The key's for the house, Solbacken.
Grandma wants me to have it!

Listen to this: Solbacken is for
you and your new family.

- But then it belongs to us too!
- Exactly.

- Where is it?

- I don't know. What does it say?

Is that a "t"?
- Looks like it.

- Then it's Tjockö.

- Does it really say that?
-But Tjockö actually exists!

- It says Tjockö.
- Can we go there?

-There!
Can we go there? Outstanding!

Around Tjockö, the fires were
sometimes lit on the wrong headlands.

It may not be a coincidence ...

... that the island east of the entrance to
the northern port is called Robbers' Isle.

We can fish some time too.
- Yes. There's equipment on board.

Do you like fish?

- So so. It depends on how you cook it.

- But fruutt cocktayel's better?
- Of course. That's dessert, after all.

- So how do I say it? Frutt...?
- Fruit cocktail

Fruuut...

Here is the radio news. The search for the
four missing children begun in June ...

... has to date not produced any results.
The police are following up several leads.

An indication that the children were
spotted in the environs of Enköping ...

- Where's that?
- A long way from here. Quiet now!

... the whole search has been in vain.

The police are sure that
the children are still alive.

- Alive!
- Sure we're alive!

- Enköping!

- You are so wrong! Wrong wrong wrong!
- They have no clue!
