sneak into the State Theater,

and I knew that when I saw
those curtains open,

that's what I wanted to do
for the rest of my life.

Growing up,
my parents would be like,

"Yo, you can't watch TV,"
so I would have to find

sneaky ways to watch comedy
every chance I got.

My parents are both doctors,

so there's a lot of pressure
to become a doctor as well.

But performing
is all I wanted to do.

- Growing up, it was very--
- if you're a man, you're man.

Boys don't twirl.

I was always hiding,
but this is my life.

This is what I want to do.

I really just want to be
a twirler full-time,

so that's why I'm here
on this stage,

can make my dreams come true.

I was born and raised
in Puerto Rico.

I live in North Carolina.

My sister was a majorette
in a local group,

and I was in the drumline,

but I've always been fascinated
about dancing and performing,

and I don't know why,

from the moment
I saw the metal sticks,

they were like--
that's really cool.

And one day, I picked it up,
and from that moment then,

I've never let them go.

It's been a dream

Seeing the first winner,
Bianca Ryan,

I look at those comments
and, "You're amazing.

You're beautiful.
You can sing."

"Your vibrato sounds
like a goat."

Yeah.
That's an actual comment.

"Eww, you don't
wear any makeup."

"You have a lisp."
"You have a crooked tooth."

"You look awful.
You have acne."

I mean, I could go on.

I am going to be singing
a song that I wrote

using only hate comments
from my YouTube channel.

I grew up with music
all around me in my childhood.

My dad played guitar.

When I was eight years old,

my dad actually sat me down and
taught me how to write a song.

So I'm about to go out
onstage. Wish me luck.

My social media today
is killer.

Definitely been a dream
of mine to be on "AGT"

to make it all the way

but it's kind of our goal
to make it even further.

My mom said,

We were married for 15 years.

beautiful children.

my wife ever said to me.

went to my children.
