The Voice UK (2012–…): Season 3, Episode 10 - The Knockouts 1 - full transcript

- The battles were epic. - Woo! - Pretty freaking dope.

Oh! Difficult, but epic.

Epic.

Come on!

And just when you think you can relax and breathe, no, you can't.

It's the knockouts.

This weekend, the coaches pick their teams

for next week's live quarterfinals.

That is hard.

Come on!

From each team of seven, only three can go through.

It's going to be really emotional, it's going to be difficult.

And now it's the acts who have creative control.

This is when the act chooses their own song.

Hopefully, they make the right choice,

cos it's very important.

Tonight it's all about me and Sir Tom.

I'm very excited to see how our teams stack up against each other.

- Kylie, seven must become three. - Are you ready?

As ready as I'll ever be, I suppose.

Their acts will sing one after another,

fighting for those three precious places.

Yeah!

You're in or you're out. No-one can steal you.

It's the knockouts.

- Gotcha. - This is hard, this is hard.

Hello and welcome to The Voice.

Now, so far, our artists have beaten the blinds,

won their battles and now here we are at the knockouts.

Tonight, two coaches must pick their ultimate live show teams,

so let's meet those superstars.

Hashtag - "fresh", it's Will.i.am!

Our very own pop princess, it's Kylie.

Been there, done it, sung it - Sir Tom Jones!

And put on your riot gear - it's Ricky Wilson.

Ladies and gentlemen, our superstar coaches!

Now, these four stars may have front-row seats,

but now so much responsibility rests on their shoulders.

From teams of seven, they must select their top three artists

to take through to the live shows.

And it's not just the coaches who are making massive decisions.

The artists have chosen songs they hope will win them

one of those crucial spots.

And tonight's first knockout blow is coming from...Team Kylie.

My knockout team!

I think I've got a dynamic team, I think I've got different styles.

Yeah, I feel great about Team Kylie.

I think Kylie definitely wants to win.

Yeah, I think she's going to be dangerous.

Kylie's team is, like, super fresh.

She's a dark horse, is Kylie.

The breadth of talent and charisma

and amazingness that's in this team is awesome.

The seven of us are all really close.

I love Kylie's team.

Everyone is quite caring towards me

and really does look after me backstage.

I've really made a lot of good friends here.

They've welcomed me like a long-lost brother, if you like.

At the same point, everybody wants to get through,

so it's going to be a difficult one.

I really want you to all be yourself,

and this is amazing you have the opportunity to do that,

cos it's your song.

'The difference now between battles and knockouts -

'song choices is everything,'

and it's their choice.

So just a little bit more pressure.

Oh, the devastating news is, as you know,

- that seven will become three. - Yeah.

It's going to be very tricky.

I am bricking it.

It's a competition, at the end of the day.

I just need to be in these live shows so much.

It's getting harder because everyone is really, really good.

That's what's making me really nervous.

I'm just hoping I nail it on the night and get through to lives.

I'm sure if people are honest, there's a bit of them thinking,

"Oh, I hope he messes up now, I hope he messes up, I hope he messes up."

You either go through or you go home.

- It's make or break. - And it's simple as that.

KYLIE: If it doesn't happen for you in that performance,

you've got people either side of you

who will swoop in and take your place.

And there they are - give it up for Team Kylie.

Now Kylie can just take three of these seven

through to the live shows,

but she won't be making her decision until they've all sung.

Kylie, it's knockout time - how are you feeling?

I have butterflies.

I'm super excited, but I'm nervous too, I have to say.

Obviously, your artists have got one last chance to impress you.

Any final words of advice for them, Kylie?

Um, well, I've had the pleasure of getting to know you all

a little bit through this process.

And one thing I could say across the board is just be yourself,

give it all you've got.

Let me get to know you a little bit more in this performance

and everyone at home as well.

Fantastic. Right, let's kick things off then.

First up, singing for her place on Kylie's live team,

everyone give it up for Leo.

- Ah, Leo. - I've fancied Charlene since I was this high.

Get out the way!

'Well, where do I start?'

Just makes me laugh.

In The Streets we had such an amazing time

and I think for me now, I just want to not be a sidekick anymore.

How are you going to sell yourself?

So I've decided to do I Want To Know What Love Is by Foreigner.

Power ballad.

I'm actually going to perform this song for Kylie.

I didn't expect you to choose a song like that, but I think it's gorgeous.

- Yeah, thank you. - I'm going to be waiting with an air grab.

Let's do it!

'I think Leo does want to know what love is.'

Look out, don't pull me over! I'm just coming!

'I get a hug off Kylie and it just came out.'

You know I've been counting the hugs?

- Have I been counting your hugs? - No, I've been counting.

- Don't worry about it. - No, what are you trying to say?

Did I just say that out loud?

'The most cringiest situation I've ever been in my entire life.'

So, are we done here?

'I swear, if the ground could open up and swallow me, I would jump in.'

Epic fail!

'If I don't get through, I'll be super honest, I'll be super gutted.'

To have Kylie as a coach is amazing

and I just hope that that can continue.

Leo is a favourite of mine, but it doesn't guarantee him a place.

I have some really strong acts.

Let's go, Leo!

# I gotta take a little time

# A little time to think things over

# I'd better read between the lines

# In case I need it when I'm older

# In my life

# There's been heartache and pain

# I don't know if I can face it again now

# I can't stop now

# I've travelled so far

# To change this lonely life

# I wanna know what love is

# I want you to show me

# I wanna feel what love is

# Oh, yeah

# And I know you can show me. #

Go on, Leo!

# Ooh, yeah. #

That's Leo, everyone.

He's really stepped up. Really good.

I can just imagine the relief once they've all performed.

You're all breathing, right?

Next up, singing for a place in the lives, give it up for Jai.

'Jai, she's covered in tats,

'but she's got this cute little face and this voice comes out of her.'

So she's unlike anyone else.

- What are you singing? - I am singing Take Your Mama Out. - Yay!

'When I'm performing this song,

'I will be singing it for every single mother in the crowd.'

Fantastic!

My son Kingston is only three

and he means everything to me

and I would love my son to be proud of me.

What's amazing about Jai is the tone that she has.

Now she has to be careful what she does with it.

This song is tricky for Jai because of the timing.

'I don't know why it was so hard for me.'

I just couldn't get it in my head.

I wanted to encourage her

but I don't want to smother what is the essence of Jai.

- You don't need the 'wha-aat' cos then you're running out of time. - Yeah.

'Kylie's inspired me, so, yeah,

'I'm going to really have to deliver on the night because I really want

'to be in the lives more than anything right now.'

# When you grow up

# Live like a good boy oughta

# And your mama takes a shine to her best son

# Something different

# All the girls, they seem to like you

# Cos you're handsome, like to talk and a whole lot of fun

# Gonna take your mama out all night

# Yeah, we'll show her what it's all about

# We'll get her jacked up on some cheap champagne

# And let the good times all roll out

# And if the music ain't good, well it's just too bad

# We're gonna sing along no matter what

# Because the dancers don't mind at the New Orleans

# If you tip 'em and you make a cut

# We're gonna do it

# Take your mama out all night

# So she'll have no doubt that we're doing all the best we can

# We're gonna do it

# Take your mama out all night

# You can stay up late cos, baby, you're a full grown man

# Do it. #

Everyone give it up for Jai.

Oh, boy.

Yeah, that was great.

The third act fighting to stay on Team Kylie, it's Jade.

I got you.

You steamed the lenses on your blind auditions, you really did.

'Jade is sassy sex bomb.'

Wow, I felt that.

What song have you chosen?

- I've chosen to sing Blue Moon, Ella Fitzgerald's version. - Yeah?

Nice.

'I think it's a great choice

'cos now we're going to the more mature bluesy side.'

This is definitely my opportunity to show Kylie

that I'm not just a one-trick pony.

I don't just do pop and commercial.

I can really do the jazzy and soul aspect.

All right, let's hear it.

Jade can't perform the song where we feel like

we're watching an impersonation.

I'm looking forward to this.

'It can't sound like she's on Stars In Their Eyes.'

This is the last round before the live shows.

I've literally got my fighting head on.

I know that I need to go out there now

and give it my absolute everything.

Thank you so much.

# Blue moon

# You saw me standing alone

# Without a dream in my heart

# Without a love of my own

# And then there suddenly appeared before me

# The only one my arms will ever hold

# I heard somebody whisper please adore me

# And when I look the moon had turned to gold

# Blue moon

# Now I'm no longer alone

# Without a dream in my heart

# Without a love of my own. #

Make some noise for Jade Mayjean!

- I can't believe how strong your team is. - I know.

- You've dug yourself a pretty deep hole there. - Yeah. Oh, my God.

Now singing for a place in Kylie's final three,

it's Lee!

Come on, Lee! Come on!

Lee, probably the most unique voice I have on my team.

He takes a song and he does a Lee Glasson version.

Which song have you chosen?

I've chosen Careless Whisper by George Michael.

Ooh, nice!

The song that I'm singing is potentially a huge risk.

People might not like the fact that I'm changing, like, a classic song.

- Have you got more buff since you started this competition? - Possibly!

How about my guns, huh?!

I'm used to working in an office.

And now suddenly I'm spending days and days in the studio with Kylie,

rehearsing music, which is what I've always wanted to do so,

it's brilliant and I don't want it to end.

# I feel so unsure

# As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor

# As the music dies

# Something in your eyes

# Calls to mind a silver screen

# And all its goodbyes

#I'm never gonna dance again

# Guilty feet have got no rhythm

# Though it's easy to pretend

# I know you're not a fool

# Should've known better than to cheat a friend

# The wasted chance that I've been given

# So I'm never gonna dance again

# The way I danced with, with you

# The way I danced with you. #

That's Lee, everyone.

Oh, my God!

They huggin', they huggin'.

That's a lotta love on stage, a lotta love on stage.

Now the newest member of Team Kylie, it's Femi!

- I just want to say his name. - Femi.

- Femi Santiago. - Santiago, huh?

Sounds like a pop star.

Femi was destined to be my steal.

From going through homelessness at such a young age

to such an extreme high of where I am right now

it was like Christmas came early, basically. It was brilliant.

I've chosen California Dreaming by Bobby Womack.

I think the challenge with California Dreaming is

it could sound a bit cliched.

It was a big risk, actually, picking this song.

But Kylie reacted in a way that I never expected her to react.

I forgot that I was working. I was just part of the Femi fan club!

That's beautiful!

I don't think my rehearsals could have gone any better

but it is a lot of pressure to take,

knowing that there are seven people on the team

and only three people actually can go through.

Ha-ha! I get another go! Ha-ha!

- So what you got? - KYLIE LAUGHS

# All the leaves are brown

# And the sky is grey

# I went for a walk

# On a winter's day

# I'd be safe and warm

# If I was in LA

# California dreaming

# On such a winter's day

# I went to a church, oh

# I passed along the way

# Yeah, I

# Got down on my knees

# And I began to pray

# You know the preacher digs the cold

# Cos he knows I'm gonna stay, he knows I'm gonna stay

# California dreaming

# On such a winter's day

# On such a winter's day. #

Let's hear it for Femi, everyone!

Great song. Really great.

- That's a good steal. You stole him, right? - I stole him, yeah.

He can sing, that kid.

Oh, that was lovely. Beautiful.

Next, into Kylie's Knockouts, it's Rachael.

Go on there, girl! Go on!

Here we go, Rachael, here we go, Rachael!

Rachael is my sweet 16

and from the blind audition,

hearing that voice, you could tell it was a young voice,

turn around, she's absolutely gorgeous.

For the knockouts, I've decided to sing New York by Paloma Faith.

I wanted to show Kylie that I'm versatile and can sing upbeat songs.

And hopefully Kylie likes it.

OK, biggest thing I want to say is don't worry.

I can remember being 16

and I didn't have an opportunity like this,

so I imagine, when she's not terrified with nerves,

she must be having the best time.

She's like... This microphone is going to be snapped in half!

I'm from a small village called Drumsurn in Northern Ireland,

so being here now, it is scary.

It is scary.

She really is not confident, because she gets super-duper nervous.

- How do you feel? - Good.

She said "good", everybody! She said "good"!

I Just have to be confident and I have to make the song my own,

because I don't want to go home yet. I really want to get to Lives.

# The days were long and the nights so cold

# The pages turn, the tale unfolds.

# He left me for another lady

# He took my hand one day

# And told me he was leaving

# Me disbelieving

# And I, I, I...

# Oh, I, I, I!

# I had to let him go

# Her name was New York

# New York

# And she took his heart away

# Oh, my, her name was New York

# New York

# And she poisoned his sweet mind

# Please don't make me go to

# New York

# New York

# And she took his heart away

# Her name was New York

# New York

# She poisoned his sweet mind

# She poisoned his sweet mind. #

Make some noise for Rachael!

Let's go, Rachael!

She's great. She's a ready-made pop star. Ready to go.

16, I think, isn't she?

She had to fight through some nerves there.

- Have you got any plan? - I had a plan, I changed the plan.

I make another plan, I change it.

Then I was, like, the decision is just going to come.

Last up for Team Kylie is Jamie.

Go on, Jamie!

- I'm happy he's there. - He's always smiling, so happy to be there.

Jamie J brings joy, he really does.

- Jamie. - Are you blushing?

Yeah, he's such a nice guy.

A couple of months ago I was gigging in pubs.

The next thing you know you're singing with Kylie. It's brilliant!

I'm singing Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon.

I'm elated already. I love that track!

Picking the song for the knockouts

is the biggest decision I've made so far.

I'm putting on the performance of my life.

Stop. Stop.

Can we try even less?

We don't just want to be hit over the head for the entirety of the song.

You don't want to be just screaming the house down.

Or maybe you do, Sex On Fire, I don't know! HE LAUGHS

Beep, beep, beep, beep - I'm backing up, I'm backing right on up.

I've got to get through the knockouts, I've got to get to lives

and smash it and just show the audience what I've got.

He's going to show his sexy side tonight.

Yeah? Must be the coaching!

# Lay where you're laying

# Don't make a sound

# I know they're watching

# They're watching

# They're watching

# You

# Your sex is on fire

# The dark of the alley

# The break of the day

# Head while I'm driving

# I'm driving

# I'm driving

# You

# Your sex is on fire

# Consumed

# With what's just transpired

# You

# Your sex is on fire. #

Yeah!

Give it up for Jamie, everyone!

Go on!

Go on, Jamie!

Good energy. Ah-hah!

Wow, what a great performances. Let's hear it for Team Kylie.

Kylie, congratulations.

They've done it, seven standout performances. You must be so proud.

There's no way of choosing three people and being happy.

That's, like... That's it.

I've tried to put the jigsaw every which way and it doesn't happen so...

They've made this difficult for me.

Let's hear from your fellow coaches.

Will.i.am, talk to us about the knockouts.

- First off, I think the song selections were too obvious. - OK.

Except for Jamie's.

The music industry is not just about looking at what you do,

but also paying attention to the competition.

Like, if Ricky was doing a concert

and you were playing Glastonbury, you're going to want to know

- what the opener did, because you would have to bring it. - Yeah.

I don't think you guys are paying attention to how explosive that was.

So I'm right in thinking if that was your team,

- Jamie would definitely go through for you? - Jamie would go through.

He would be, like, my centrepiece.

Then I'd be, like, all right, I know Femi can bring it

so I'll put him up next to him.

And Leo is freaking amazing too.

Ricky, if you were Kylie right now,

what would be going through your mind?

Wow, it's like picking lobsters in a restaurant.

Singing lobsters. Sorry, that didn't make sense.

Sorry, Will, that's straight out of your book, that.

No, no, I never would have said that!

- Who would you pick? - I'll be more general.

I will say that I think the boys did a little bit better than the girls.

And I really didn't expect that.

OK. Thank you.

Who would you pick, Tom?

Erm, Jamie.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Go on, Jamie!

And Femi.

The way I look at it is we've got three live shows to go.

I think Rachael fits that bill.

OK. Great stuff.

Thank you very much, Tom.

OK, now it's time where we get serious.

Kylie, seven must become three. It's time to make your knockout decision.

Kylie, who gets the first place in your team?

AUDIENCE: Kylie! Kylie! Kylie!

I just want to thank each and every one of you for being part of my team.

And really, I'm a bit like mother hen,

I feel very, very proud and privileged to have shared this time

with you, so thank you very, very much.

Starting to get really serious. I need to know the first name

of the person going through to the live shows.

All right.

The first person I'm taking through to the live shows is...

Lee.

Congratulations, Lee!

Lee, you are through to the live shows. Come and see Kylie.

Massive congrats, buddy.

You absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Anything you'd like to say to Kylie?

I've learned so much from you already and I just can't wait

to continue, so thank you so much. Thank you.

OK, so now, just two places remain on Team Kylie.

Kylie, who gets the next place?

Um...

The next place is going to someone who...

who has been consistent,

really consistent. I know, every time, they can deliver.

I don't have an ounce of worry.

Jamie!

Congratulations, Jamie!

Congratulations, Jamie,

you are through to the live shows.

Come and give Kylie a big hug, Jamie. Congratulations.

Thank you! Thank you so much.

- You all right? - Thank you! Yeah!

The Lee-ster, he smashed it!

Well done, Jamie. There's a lot of love on this stage.

It's getting emotional, right?

Uh, yeah, yeah. Like, er, meeting everyone and the experiences,

you can't explain how good it is.

Like...

Well, listen, congratulations.

You're through to the live show, along with Lee. Well done, boys.

Now, Kylie has just one more name to add to the line-up.

Kylie, who's getting the last crucial place on your team?

OK.

I'm so sorry to be saying goodbye to four of you.

Thank you for being part of my journey on this show.

That means a lot to me.

First, then...

The third person I'm taking through to the live rounds is...

Rachael.

Congratulations, Rachael!

Smashed it! Congratulations.

Well done, Rachael. You are the last person in Kylie's team.

You're through to the live shows.

Unlucky!

Come over here, Rachael, give it up for Rachael!

Come here, Rachael, give us a hug.

Well done, hun. Congratulations. How you feeling right now?

I, I can't speak! Like, thank you so much for taking a chance

and...sorry for messing up and being nervous, but...

Listen, don't be sorry. You're through to the live shows

along with Lee, Jamie and Rachael - give it up for the new Team Kylie!

She was brilliant, yes!

Well done!

Well done, Kylie.

Kylie, they haven't made it to the final three

but you must be so proud of these four.

I'm, you're all here because you are very talented

and you have so much more to give,

and I wish you all the very, very best.

Everyone, show your appreciation for Femi, Jade, Leo and Jai!

- I'm sorry, it's so hard. - Hey!

It was always going to be difficult.

Like I said to them, seven to three is just not a lot of fun

but it had to be done.

The Kylie hug count has unfortunately come to an end now.

But I've got a poster of her at home, so I might hug that!

Oh, my God! I can't believe it.

- I wouldn't have let that Femi go, would you? - No, I wouldn't have.

- Yeah, he was... - He's something else, he is.

Yeah.

Some of them picked some very clunky songs.

Put it this way, it's like the hot model with the nice physique...

- WOLF WHISTLE - ..they should put a curtain on.

That's the metaphor.

The songs they sing did not show the physique vocally.

I would have gone Femi over Rachael. Rachael does have the potential.

I think she's a pop star ready to go. Make the video, stick it on telly.

They each represent something different

and hopefully that's going to give Team Kylie a good chance.

- I've done it. Live shows! - Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.

- I think I've broken myself. - Yeah. - It's rotten.

Well, Kylie's made her decision, mine's to come.

Like her, I'm dreading it.

We're all in it to win it. Did I rhyme then?

Yes, you did. That was good.

- Yeah. - Yeah. Hell, yeah.

Of course I think I've got the strongest team.

Everyone thinks their group of friends

are the best friends in the world.

Apart from maybe the friends on Friends.

We'd all like to be part of that gang, right?

It is up to Sir Tom now.

If he needs to hold my hand, he can.

- Don't bore us, get to the chorus. - Don't bore us, get to the chorus.

Have you never heard don't bore us...

- No, I've never heard that before. - Tom, I taught Tom something.

- Yeah! - Let's skip to the good bit.

Well done, Kylie Minogue

RICKY!

Next up, going from seven to three it's Team Tom.

My knockout team is the best one.

- All hail Sir Tom. - Wow!

I think he has acts who cover different styles, different genres.

They can sing, they perform and I don't have two singers alike.

Are they any good? I don't know. Let me think...

- Of course. - Yeah.

Some of his team are just legendary.

Now we can see who's got the complete package,

who's got the potential to be a star.

Good morning.

- Everybody happy? - Yes.

- With the knockouts, you have to choose your own song. - What? - Oh.

- That is a big decision for the singer. - This is stressing me out.

They need to pick the right song.

It's only one minute 20 seconds to get over what I can do.

They must choose wisely.

The competition is very, very fierce.

The talent this year is insane.

I'm not going to hold back so I don't see why anyone else should.

- This stage is go hard or go home. - Good luck to you all. - Thank you.

I can't wait to hear them.

Only three can go through to the lives.

You can either be strong or you can crumble. So you better be strong.

And there they are. Give it up for Team Tom.

Everybody feeling all right?

So, Tom only has three places in his live show line-up

and he'll make his decision once the entire team have performed.

- Tom, are you ready for these knockouts? - Yes. - I was worried then.

I've told everybody that it all depends on what happens tonight.

Just bring it, give it the best you can.

That's all I've got to say.

OK, first up and singing to stay on Team Tom,

everybody give it up for Celestine.

- Feeling the pressure, Tom? - Yes. Pressure. - Need a shoulder rub?

- Celestine is a vibrant person. You bring the thing, baby. - The thing.

Yeah, you've got that thing. Her face lights up when she sings.

- So the song... - Yes, I'm doing You Might Need Somebody. - Right.

I've chosen this song

because the sentiment of You Might Need Somebody, it's so beautiful.

When I am singing I'm thinking about my kids,

I'm thinking about the people who, in my life,

have influenced me in such a way that has brought me to where I am now.

It's always important for a singer to relate to a song.

Celestine, she can do that.

Yeah!

You do what you just did and you don't have to worry about a thing.

Thank you. The competition is fierce

but I really want to get through to the live shows.

# When somebody reaches for your heart

# Open up and let them through

# Cos everybody needs someone around

# Or things can tumble down on you

# If there is fire

# So in your heart

# And you're sure it's wrong and right

# Keep it burning through the cold night

# It can warm your lonely ni-igh-ights

# You might need somebody

# You might need somebody too

# You might need

# Oh, yeah

# Somebody too. #

- All right. - Celestine, everybody.

Good luck.

That was excellent.

- She was a lovely present. - Yeah.

And it's good to be able to hear them, all in a row.

It's the best way to do it, I think.

- You know what you're doing. - Well, you know...

Next up, hoping to book a place in the live shows, it's Melissa.

- Melissa with the pink hair. - Hello.

- How are you, darling? - Good, thank you.

I like what she does. She has got a unique style.

There's a similarity there with Amy Winehouse, you know.

She's really good.

I'm glad you've still got pink hair.

I'd miss that if you had dyed it another colour.

- It's not going to happen. - Pink, pink! What song have you picked?

I've chosen to do I Love Rock'n'Roll by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Ah! I love that song.

Everybody knows it as this hardcore rock, you know, anthem.

I thought, "I want to strip it back and turn it into a Melissa song."

She was... # I love rock'n'roll... #

It's a different approach.

I've never heard it like that.

Joan Jett didn't do it like that.

- How are you feeling? - Nervous.

When you change something, which Melissa has done,

it's always a risk but she is going to have fun with it.

Don't lose the fun. Get that across.

I'm just desperate to prove myself and get through into the lives.

I've got to impress Tom and make sure I am in his final three.

# I saw him dancin' there by the record machine

# I knew he must have been about 17

# The beat was goin' strong Playin' my favourite song

# And I could tell it wouldn't be long till he was with me

# Yeah, me

# Singin'

# I love rock'n'roll

# So put another dime in the juke box, baby

# I love rock'n'roll

# So come on, take your time and dance with me

# He smiled so I got up and asked him for his name

# That don't matter he said cos it's all the same

# I said can I take you home where we can be alone?

# Next we were movin' on Yeah, he was with me

# Yeah, me

# Singin'

# I love rock'n'roll

# So put another dime in the juke box, baby

# I love rock'n'roll

# So come and take your time

# And dance with me... #

Please put your hands together for Melissa!

Well done.

I better sit down.

- That was explosive. - Yeah. That was good.

Up next, singing to be one of Tom's top three, it's Gary.

Gary Poole.

Thank you.

- He's going to blow us all way. - He can sing.

Gary is a vocal teacher which is great

because his strong point is he's so musical. He's got that soul thing.

He's a natural performer. What song is it?

Freedom by George Michael.

- Oh, right. - Nice up-tempo song. I love the lyrics. I love the song.

And I think it's just a real crowd-pleasing song.

It is a sing-along song but it remains to be seen

if everybody else thinks that.

You're not smiling enough. It's worrying me.

He has to be careful because it's very easy when you're that equipped,

which he is, vocally, to overdo it.

It's either going to be brilliant or it is not going to work.

- It's one of those, isn't it? - It's not an easy song to sing.

I don't know if he can do it any stronger.

If he can then I'm looking forward to seeing it and hearing it.

I can feel the live shows. I am almost there, I need to go through.

It's plagued my every thought.

I really, really want this.

# I won't let you down I will not give you up

# Gotta have some faith in the sound

# It's the one good thing I've got

# Heaven knows I was a young boy

# Didn't know what I wanted to be

# Did, did, didn't know

# Oh now

# Say now

# Take back your picture in the frame

# Take back your singing in the rain

# I just hope you'll understand

# Sometimes the clothes do not make the man

# All we have to do, now

# Is take these lies and make them true somehow

# All we have to see

# Is that I don't belong to you

# And you don't belong to me

- # Take that - Freedom

# Oh! Freedom now

# You've gotta give her what you take

- # Freedom, freedom - Free-ee-dom

# You've got to give her what you take. #

It's all right.

Give it up for Gary!

Well done.

It's going to get difficult now.

- Yeah! - Yeah.

- That's the way I love it. - KYLIE LAUGHS

Next up, it's Bizzi.

Go, Bizzi!

Bizzi!

- I'm just thinking of in the battles, how great Bizzi was. - Yeah.

Bizzi is a soul singer, he's a gospel soul singer.

- You dressed up for it. - Thank very much.

With the bow tie and everything.

He comes from a family of gospel singers

and he's the only one in my team that sings like that.

The song I'm singing is when I Need You, Leo Sayer.

- I am putting a Bizzi twist to it. - Thank God for that.

I used to sing it growing up and it's one of my favourite songs.

I did a little jazz run but Tom did warn me

not to be too oobly-oobly.

- What? - You know what I mean. - I've got no idea.

- I call them oobly-ooblies. - OK.

I don't think you'll find that in a dictionary.

An oobly-oobly is my own creation. It's when somebody does a jazz run.

I'm not particularly fond of it, to me it's oobly-oobly.

Bizzi has to stick to his roots.

He must establish the melody first, don't go too far off it.

He needs to keep that in mind.

The further you get in the competition,

the further you want to get.

It's going to be a challenge but I intend to give it my all.

# When I need you

# I just close my eyes and I'm with you

# And all that I so wanna give to you

# Is only a heartbeat away

# It's not easy when the road is your driver

# Honey that's a heavy load you bear

# But I know I won't be travelling a lifetime

# No, no, no

# It's cold out, but hold out and do like I do

# Oh, hey, hey, hey

- # Oh, I need you - I need you, baby

# Yes I do

# When I need you. #

Please raise the roof for Bizzi.

This is getting Bizzi.

You make me dizzy, Miss Lizzie when it's a song by Bizzi.

- # You make me dizzy, Miss Lizzie - Oh, yeah. #

Sorry, everybody, sometimes I get the feeling.

Next into the knockouts, it's Georgia.

Yeah!

I like this girl. I think Georgia is good.

I like Georgia.

- Georgia! - Tom. - Georgia, she's got a definite style and she is fun.

She can sing.

This song I am singing is very personal between myself

and my fiance. I'm singing Three Little Birds by Bob Marley.

We're getting married in May this year and this is our wedding song.

Georgia, she just has to have fun with this song.

- Get into that side of it. A sassy thing. - I am related to Adele.

She is my cousin but I really feel in this competition

- I have found my own voice. - I liked that.

Every time I kind of think about the lives,

I have mini heart palpitations. I would absolutely love to be there.

I can't even describe how that would feel.

# Rise up this mornin'

# I smiled with the risin' sun

# Three little birds

# Each by my doorstep

# And they're singin' sweet songs

# Of melodies pure and true

# Sayin', this is my message to you, to you, to you

# Don't worry about a thing

# Yeah

# Cos every little thing is gonna be all right

# Yeah, all right

# I rise up this mornin'

# I smiled with the risin' sun

# Three little birds

# Each by my doorstep

# And they're singin' sweet songs

# Of melodies pure and true

# And they're sayin' this is my message to you

# To you, to you, to you,

# Don't worry about a thing

# Every little thing is gonna be all right

# Yeah, heah Don't you worry!

# About a thing

# Cos every little thing

# Is gonna be all right. #

Give it up for Georgia, everybody!

- Very well done. That was amazing. - Yeah, I liked that.

- She, she's your little star. - Yeah.

Georgia, Georgia, Georgia!

Next, Tom's newest team member, it's his steal, Steven.

Come on, Steven.

- Your loss is my gain, baby. - You're right.

Steven is my steal. I thought he won the battle.

I'm praying there is going to be a steal after this.

- He did it, he delivered. - I'm so, so relieved.

He's not like anybody else. He's a performer.

I'm going to be doing Grace Kelly by Mika.

I need to show Tom my performance and this is a great song to do it with.

I'm glad it's you singing it, not me.

That's not an easy song to sing and for him to take that on,

he's got to have big...

There are no second chances in the knockouts.

This is it, it's the be all and end all.

It's all down to me and I've got to get it right.

- I love this song. - You're best pals with Mika.

I had to train myself not to sing it through dinner.

You had to train yourself not to do the bit,

No, it was the... # I could be brown...

- It's so catchy. - There is some ring to it. - Yeah.

# Do I attract you?

# Do I repulse you with my queasy smile?

# Am I too dirty? Am I too flirty?

# Do I like what you like?

# I could be wholesome I could be loathsome

# I guess I'm a little bit shy

# Why don't you like me?

# Why don't you like me without making me try?

# I tried to be like Grace Kelly

# But all her looks were too sad

# So I try a little Freddie

# Oh! I've gone identity mad!

# I could be brown I could be blue

# I could be violet sky

# I could be hurtful I could be purple

# I could be anything you like

# Gotta be green Gotta be mean

# Gotta be everything more

# Why don't you like me?

# Why don't you like me?

# Walk out the door!

# Say what you want

# To satisfy yourself

# Ah, yeah!

# But you only want what everybody else says you should want

# You want

# You wa-a-a-nt. #

Steven, everybody.

- That was a double spin. - He did the double, it could be the triple.

Steven, are you a professionally trained dancer?

- A little bit, a little bit. - I did that once, I spun off the stage.

Last up for Team Tom, it's Sally.

With Sally, she brings experience.

Because she opened for Bob Dylan

and she opened for a lot of folk singers.

I think she thought her career was over with.

It was so beautiful that I couldn't help but sing.

This girl is only just starting as far as I'm concerned.

- How are you doing? - I'm well, thank you. - Good.

After my husband died, my singing, it did pretty much go on to

the backburner but now I am so enjoying myself.

I want to go as far as I can in the competition.

I'm going to sing Walk On By.

It's a song that reminds me of when I was a teenager

and I wanted to do something different with it.

Less is more.

You don't have to bash ten bells out of something.

I like to change things.

Once you have established the melody, then you can change it.

It's been a really interesting journey. I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah!

Sally brings an aura that she has.

People feel it in the room.

- It is magical. All right, my love. - Thank you.

# If you see me walking down the street

# And I start to cry each time we meet

# Walk on by

# Make believe

# You don't see the tears

# Let me grieve in private

# Each time I see you

# I break down and cry

# I just can't get over losing you

# And so if I seem, broken and blue

# Walk on by

# Walk on by

# Foolish pride, that's all that I have left

# So let me hide the tears and the sadness you gave me

# When you said goodbye

# Walk on by. #

Please show your appreciation for Sally.

And let's hear it for the seven members of Team Tom.

So there they are, but Tom, you are only minutes from making them

a team of three for the live quarterfinals.

Team Tom, Team Tom.

That was beautiful.

- She makes the room stop. - Yeah. - Do you need a tissue? Hankie?

RICKY: She has that thing.

What have you got in that jacket?

Have you got a machine that makes everybody sing wonderful in there?

Oh, you know.

Well done with that one, Tom.

- It's just the third one I've got problems with. - Really? - Yeah.

If I was going to give you any advice, which I wouldn't try

and play tactics, I would go with your heart.

- You know exactly what to do with his voice. - Yeah. I thought so.

- But it's tough. - Yeah.

This is hard, this is hard.

Melissa!

So, Tom, this is your biggest decision yet.

Before you make it, let's talk to the others.

Kylie, let's start with you. What were your thoughts

on the performances that we just saw?

They've all had the Tom effect.

- Golden ears. - Golden ears, right.

Was there one particular performance that stood out for you?

Erm, there was a few.

If I was to just say one,

I have a slight obsession with Georgia.

I think she's fantastic.

Will, what did you think of the song choices that our acts made?

The best one, that, like,

blew me away,

was Georgia's...

..because of the twist.

She reinvented something that...

I wasn't expecting a curveball like that.

It was really fantastic.

There are lots of experienced singers up there on Tom's team,

- do you think that showed tonight? - Yeah. - I mean, totally.

Sally has always been one by favourites.

But it's not just experience,

it's like drawing on that emotion and you hear it pouring out.

She takes you with her.

OK, Tom. Let's talk through your team.

- Firstly though, do you think you have a winner up there? - Yes.

- I know I've got the winner. - Can we say a classic "yeah"?

Yeah!

OK, Tom, are you ready?

- I'm as ready as I'll ever be, I suppose. - OK.

I must say this, this is the hardest part cos there are seven

people and only three can go.

Four have got to go home and that's a big thing,

that's a big decision for anybody to make.

Especially me, right now.

Breathe in, breathe out.

OK, Tom, it's time to make your knockout decision.

Tom, who gets the first place on your team?

Sally.

Sally, congratulations.

You are staying on Team Tom.

- Well done. - You got it. You were brilliant.

- Come on, babe. Give me your hand. - Thank you.

- OK? - You look fantastic tonight. - Thank you, love.

So your boys are up there looking immensely proud.

And you are going through to the live shows, so well done.

Congratulations. Give it up for Sally, everybody.

Tom has two places remaining.

Tom, who gets your second place?

What are you thinking, Tom?

Well, I think I know who the second person is going to be.

It is the third one I have difficulty with.

- But you know, one step at a time, right? - Absolutely.

Georgia.

Ah!

- Georgia, well done. We are going to be seeing you. - Oh, my God!

- I can't really talk right now. - You deserve it. - Thank you.

- Lovely singer. - I feel honoured, I really do.

- Thanks, Tom. - All right, my love.

- Thank you. - Georgia, well done.

- Can you believe it! You are one of the final three. - Really? - Yes.

It's happening.

You're going to the live shows!

So, Georgia joins Sally right here on Tom's final team.

We are about to discover his all-important third choice.

Tom, who is the final artist staying on your team?

I don't know who he's going to go for.

(Bizzi, Bizzi.)

Bizzi.

Bizzi, congratulations.

You are the final member of Team Tom going through to the live shows.

Well done.

Thanks a lot, Tom. Thanks a lot.

Let's do it.

Bizzi, well done. Congratulations.

What is that headshake for?

Though it's very good to be on TV, I'm very emotional right now.

Are you really? It was absolutely brilliant.

That was well done and we will see you at the live shows.

Thank you so much.

Give it up for Team Tom, everybody.

- Yeah, you did the right thing. - Yeah, I think so.

Tom, they've done you and themselves proud, haven't they?

- They have been fantastic. - Yeah, definitely.

Definitely, I'm proud to have been their coach.

Guys, thank you so much for being part of The Voice.

Everybody, put your hands together

for Celestine, Melissa, Gary and Steven.

- You were great. - Take care.

Goodbye.

Yeah.

- Well done, Tom. - Thanks. - It's funny how it's boiling down, like.

Now, you suddenly look at your team and go ,"Wow, it's strong."

- Do you know what I mean? - Yeah.

When you first started with 12, you go, "Oh, you know."

And you get to seven and you go, "Heh, you know."

And now you've got three and you go, "Wow!"

Tom's team was pristine.

He picked the right people. Bizzi, fantastic.

And with Tom's guidance, he could be pretty ferocious.

Georgia is great. I've always thought she has been sensational.

I didn't turn for her. What an idiot.

Sally is hypnotising. When she performs, we are under her spell.

The energy in the room changes.

I think he chose well.

OK, that's it. What a night.

Two teams are complete.

Make some noise for Team Kylie, everyone.

And finally, it's Team Tom, everyone!

Join us tomorrow for more incredible performances

and game-changing knockouts as the coaches continue

their mission to find The Voice.

- Good night. - Good night.

Tomorrow night...

Now, Mr Wilson, are you ready for this?

- It's Will and Ricky's turn. - It's not going to be easy, is it?

As they decide their final teams of three

for next week's live quarterfinals.

That's hard, Will.

- Everybody went quiet when the light went on. - It's all or nothing.

Who will stay?

Who will be on the floor?

As the knockout weekend concludes.

I don't know what to do.

Go with your heart, Ricky.
