The Herculoids (1967–1969): Season 1, Episode 7 - Mekkano, the Machine Master/Tiny World of Terror - full transcript

NARRATOR: Somewhere out in
space live the Herculoids.

Zok, the laser-ray dragon!

Igoo, the giant rock ape.

Tundro, the tremendous.

Gloop and Gleep,
the formless, fearless wonders.

With Zandor, their leader.

And his wife,
Tara and son, Dorno.

They team up to protect their
planet from sinister invaders.

All strong!
All brave! All heroes!

They are The Herculoids.

My machines never fail me.

A perfect escape.

And now to find
and destroy the ones

responsible for my imprisonment.

Zandor and The Herculoids.

It's been a long trip, Zandor.

- Yes, but we're almost home.
MEKKANO: Stop!

ZANDOR: It's Mekkano.
- So, we meet again, Zandor.

What do you want, Mekkano?

I have come a long way

to pay you and your Herculoids
a debt, Zandor.

TARA: Zandor, what are they?

Mekko-trackers.
Tundro, get Tara out of here.

Herculoids, spread out.

- Zandor!
- Tara!

That takes care
of the Mekko-trackers.

But I am still here.

The Herculoids will never
stop the Mekko-stroyers.

whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh

I see them, Igoo.

Dorno, look out.

I'm okay, Gloop.

ZANDOR: Igoo, over here.

They have destroyed my machines.

But I am not through yet.

He's diving straight for us.

He's coming in for another try.

I will defeat them yet.

Zok took care
of his power bore.

Yeah, but look
what he's lowering now.

Nothing can stop
my electro-smasher.

What is happening?

What happened? It just went
out of control and crashed.

There's your answer, Dorno.

There goes Mekkano
back to his cell.

Yes, Dorno,
The Herculoids put him

right back where he
started from.

For good this time, I hope.

Now, to see if you are ready.

Excellent.
They are strong and thriving.

Now, let us see how they react

to a microscopic
splinter of steel.

Success.

I have created the perfect
warrior microorganisms.

But first, a final test.

And that is to pit them
against The Herculoids

in a fight to the finish.

- Zandor, what is it?
- I don't know, Tara.

We're trapped
in some kind of force beam.

Good. I have them all.

And I have reduced them
to microscopic size.

Now, to place them
in the culture

with my microorganisms.

Welcome, Zandor,
to my micro world.

Torrak, why have you
brought us here?

TORRAK: Because, Zandor,
you and your Herculoids

are to be the first
to battle my microorganisms.

And when you have lost,
I shall reduce all living things

in the galaxy
to microscopic size.

And enslave them
with my microorganisms.

Now, let the battle begin.

Herculoids, spread out.

Good going, Gloop.
Three out of three.

Yes, but stay alert.
Torrak isn't through yet.

You are right, Zandor.

Let's see how long
your Herculoids can last

against my microspores.

Alright, everyone.
Be on your guard.

Zandor, look.

DORNO: It's the microspores.

DORNO: They're all around us.

Zandor, help!

Tara! They've got her.

Tundro, your energy rocks.

It's no use.
It just absorbs the energy.

That was close, Tara.

Zok's high intensity rays
were too much for it.

Oh, no, you don't.

Thanks, Igoo.

Gloop and Gleep
are absorbing their energy.

Yes, Dorno.

If they could make connections

the microspores
would destroy each other.

Come on, Herculoids.
We're going to get out of here.

Tundro,
set up your steam screen.

My microspores should have
finished them by now.

What? They're gone.

They've gotten away,
but not for long.

For my terrible micro trackers
will hunt them down.

And then destroy them.

So far, so good.
Come on, this way.

That's what I call teamwork.

Right. Now, hurry. We've got to
get to the micro transducer.

There it is.

And that button
must activate it.

Gloop will lower me
to the aperture.

And when I give the signal, Tara

have Tundro shoot
his energy rocks at the button.

And, Dorno, you have Zok
do the same with his rays.

Between the two of them

they might just
be able to switch it on.

Okay, Gloop, let's go.

Now, let's get
on to the aperture.

Perfect!
Tara, Dorno, open fire.

Zandor!

That's right, Torrak, and your
plans for conquest have failed.

We shall see, Zandor.

Alright. Stand by.
I'm going to teleport you down.

They're safe, Gloop.

But you're not, Zandor.

Gloop, jump.

Zok, drive him off.

Look, something's happening
to Torrak's ship.

ZANDOR: It's shrinking.

Must be caught
in its own micro beam.

- It's gone.
- And Torrak with it.

I wouldn't be too sure, Dorno.

But there's one thing
we do know.

If it weren't
for The Herculoids

he very possibly
could have succeeded.
