Ryan and the FBI purposely leak information through reporter Carrie Cook about having Dr. Arthur Strauss in custody. Joe doesn't take the bait but sends out four new converts to commit random murders. Some of his new followers are having trouble with the groups new approach - Joe has a solution for them. The four are successful until the last of the attacks when one of them has second thoughts. Meanwhile, Claire Matthews makes it clear that she will not be returning to protective custody and wants to see Ryan.
