I don't see any--

- [Diver] Give yourself time,
Kingsland.

what's that noise?

- [Diver] A rockfall
further along the tunnel.

I hope it doesn't
block our path.

Now, take it slow and
easy from here.

We don't want to bring the
whole roof down on top of us.

[pleasant music]

- [Kingsland] It's fantastic,
gigantic.

It must be 20 foot across.

Let's go down and take
a closer look.

- [Diver] Okay, but
remember our air supply.

We've just got enough to
return to the surface.

- [Kingsland] Bromley
we gotta get it open.

- [Bromley] Yeah that's
gonna take some doing.

We'll have to wait for the

huh?

Where are you taking us,

- Back to our base at
Marineville.

- Okay, start talking.

I'm a busy man, so
make it brief.

- Well, it's like this sir.

Me and Kingsland were
investigating an old legend--

- I said make it brief.

- Yeah, okay.

Well this legend says
that in a deep cavern--

- Brief man, brief!

- Right sir.

In this cave is a giant oyster,

which the legend says
contains a pearl

worth maybe 10 million dollars.

Well, we hadn't got the right
equipment to get the pearl--

- Troy, get these
guys outta here.

You know we don't sponsor

what a pearl that size

could mean to the WASP.

- Father you know we use
crushed pearls for insulating

our radioactive isotopes.

This could help us.

- You mean this giant oyster
could be the same species?

- Isn't it worth finding out,

- If you put it like that,
I guess it is.

Okay, I'm putting you in charge,

Marina.

What's wrong Marina?

You don't usually act
like this on a mission.

Don't you want us to go?

- Or has it got something
to do with the pearl?

- Why should she be upset
about the pearl?

- Maybe it's some sort of
superstition of the sea,

that you know about the pearl
being a bad omen or something.

Is that what you believe,
Marina?

- Oh Marina, we can't let
superstitions worry us.

We've got a job to do,

Okay Marina, lead the way.

Phones, look!

- [Phones] Why they're oysters,

but why are they gathered
around Stingray?

- [Troy] I don't know, I've

It's as though they've been
attracted by something.

Phones, I've got it.

The giant pearl.

- [Phones] Maybe you're right.

But one thing's for sure

Bromley and Kingsland
are up to it.

- We're trapped.

- Yeah.

- What are we gonna do?

- I'll try the hatches.

The hatches are jammed,
we can't do a thing!

We're entombed in here.

Wait, Tempest.

Maybe he can help.

- Yeah yeah, get him
on the radio.

He's gotta help.

- Okay, Stingray to
Tempest can you hear me?

We're trapped, you've
gotta help us!

- [Troy] Quit whining, Bromley.

I don't know how, but
we'll try to do something.

Well Phones, what are
we gonna do?

You got any ideas?

- [Phones] I guess not, Troy.

I reckon there's no way
of moving those oysters.

- [Troy] Yeah, guess that pearl
is causing all the trouble.

I've got it!

Maybe if we get rid of the
pearl, the oysters will leave.

- [Phones] There's a chance.

I guess Marina would know.

- [Troy] Yeah but she
can't hear us down here.

Take her up to the surface,
Phones,

and ask her if it'll work.

- [Phones] Okay skipper.

- [Troy] Now listen carefully,
Bromley.

Here's what you've gotta do.

Get the pearl to the
missile ejection tube

and prepare to fire it.

- Okay Tempest, but what gives?

- [Troy] Just do as I say, then
wait until I give the word.

- If the pearl leaves Stingray,
will the oysters follow it?

That's great, okay let's
get down to Troy again.

- [Bromley] Okay Tempest,
the pearl's ready to go.

- [Troy] Good, while you're
there you can put your guns

in the tube, too.

- [Phones] Marina figures
it will work, Troy.

- [Troy] Great Phones,
let's hope she's right.

You all set Bromley?

- Yep.

- [Troy] Okay, operate
missile launch controls.

[dramatic music]

- What are you gonna do
to us Tempest?

You can't shoot us.

- Bromley stopped you shooting
us, so I'll return the favor.

Now we're quits.

I'm taking you back
to Marineville

to spend a long time in jail.
