Skin Wars (2014–…): Season 2, Episode 4 - Episode #2.4 - full transcript

- In the wild world
- of competitive body painting,

there's nothing more fierce than

the power of transformation.

Skin Wars:

the only limits

are your imagination.

You won't believe your eyes

as 12 of America's

most talented artists

compete and push the boundaries.

Absolutely breathtaking.

Some will rise to the top...

While others will watch

their dreams go down the drain.

It fell pretty flat.

It's the challenge

of a lifetime for $100,000

and the ultimate title

of Skin Wars champion.

Hello, painters.

Hello.

Let's welcome back

our world-renowned judges.

Say hello to a true pioneer,

Robin Slonina.

- Whoo!
- Hi, guys.

And the international icon

of screen and song,

RuPaul Charles.

- Hi.

- Whoo.

For this challenge,

you will have to complete

a front and back

swimsuit design

inspired by locations

around the globe.

Now, this challenge

speaks to me personally

- because I was
- the first model ever painted

for the Sports Illustrated

swimsuit issue.

So I want you to think

about cover-ups.

Think about accessories.

Think about a sarong.

The winner of this challenge

will receive $5,000

worth of glitter

and body art accessories

from Tattoo Junkie Body Art

Cosmetics.

Let's find out

which location backdrop

will inspire your artwork.

Avi.

Phuket, Thailand.

- Honestly, I'm a little bit
- concerned.

Not too familiar with Thailand.

Aryn. Miami.

I can totally dig Miami.

I just got to make it hot.

Cheryl Ann.

St. Tropez.

St. Tropez is very classy.

Elegant.

I think it's perfect for me.

Kyle.

Great Barrier Reef.

Lana. Amazon Rainforest.

Rio. Louisville, Kentucky.

It's cool.

- I'm like,
- "What are you gonna paint?"

They don't even have beaches

in Kentucky, I don't think.

Sammie. Anchorage, Alaska.

Fernello.

Tahitian Islands.

Mm-hmm.

Dawn Marie.

Outer space.

I got outer space!

Yay.

I'm actually excited because I

can add a little humor in there.

Think about the folds

in fabric

and how the light falls on them,

but really sell this to me

as fabric.

You have two hours

to complete this challenge,

and your time starts now.

Good luck.

Tilt your head back.

Pull your eyelid over it.

There you go.

- I think I want
- to do something sexy.

Maybe reds and, like, hot pinks.

- For this bathing suit
- challenge,

clothing requires realism,

and getting across your location

is gonna be

interesting and tough.

I have no idea in mind what

I'm actually gonna do,

so I'll try to create

something cool.

My big concern is

I barely do clothings.

It's hard to create more detail

and make more realism into it.

It will be a challenge.

- I don't know anything
- about Kentucky

other than

Kentucky Fried Chicken.

- I mean, that's it.
- And I'm not gonna draw

a big bucket of Kentucky

Fried Chicken on a woman.

The only thing

I can think of is leather.

- Cow spots.
- Horses.

Just nothing was coming

to my mind that was sexy.

Rio, you gonna take

this three times in a row?

- Dynasty?
- Let's see.

- All right.
- Don't try to psyche me out.

In this competition,

I've been doing okay,

but I'm not here

to just do okay work,

so I definitely have to push

the paint and step it up.

All right, people.

We have an hour left.

- Whoo.
- We got to hustle.

I don't want to be

in the bottom anymore.

It's not fun to have everyone

piled on top of you.

Last challenge, Cheryl Ann

called me her assistant.

This week, I need to prove

to the judges and to Cheryl Ann

that I can stay here

on my own skills.

My plan is to incorporate

some humor.

Can you hold that--see that

little gemstone that's sliding?

Hey, Sammie. I think she

needs an assistant over there.

Maybe.

- The conversations that
- other people are having

are irrelevant to me.

I'm trying to take

the judges' critiques

and be super creative

so I can win.

- Hi, guys.
- Ten minutes left.

- No.
- Let's do it.

I want to do her swimsuit

like an Amazon woman.

I have tons of ideas

and I combined everything.

It was, like, so much going on

in my head at this point.

I'm like, "Just breathe."

All right, people.

We have one minute.

Oh, lord. It's 59. 58.

Time's up.

Tools down, everybody.

You look amazing.

Follow me over

to the Skin Wars stage.

- Okay, let's bring out
- your models.

This is Avi

and Phuket, Thailand.

- I used a lot
- of black and gold.

I went totally isometric and I

put a sarong on the side.

- So it was very creative that
- other people actually didn't do.

I create the Buddha

on the bathing suit

as a design drawing, and it's--

I enjoy doing Buddhas.

I'm very happy.

Okay, this is Aryn and Miami.

The bathing suit that

I had decided to do is a halter

that goes to a ring and then

down to another section.

So it's kind of

a monokini sort of situation

- with little rings
- on the side and on the middle.

- Looked kind of nightclub-ish,
- so I wanted to make it,

like, kind of

fun and kind of dancey, also.

This is Cheryl Ann

and San Tropez.

I paint my fantasy swimsuit.

Something that I would love.

- If I'm gonna
- have a whole couture designer

$5,000 swimsuit,

it better be leather.

And I feel great

because she embodies this

persona that I've given her.

This femme fatale.

This is Kyle taking us

to the Great Barrier Reef.

I'm feeling

very confident right now

because it's under the sea.

I have the coral and flowers,

and represent above water

and underwater,

- but give it still
- the underwater feel.

This is Lana taking us

to the Rainforest.

I painted, like, a warrior.

The arrow like you are hunting,

and she's wearing

many different textures on her.

And she likes to wear, like,

all different patterns

in her bikini.

This is Rio taking us

to Louisville, Kentucky.

My swimsuit was horrible.

Oh, God.

There's a chance that I will be

booed and hit with rocks

if I ever went through Kentucky.

This is Sammie

and Anchorage, Alaska.

So my concept is

the Abominable Snowgirl.

It's an icy blue swimsuit

with fish scales on it.

I feel really good

about my model.

This is Fernello

and the Tahitian Islands.

I incorporated

my tribal designs in there.

I'm feeling pretty good about

what my model's looking like.

- My swimsuit is definitely
- holding up.

This is Dawn Marie

and outer space.

I wanted her to be long-sleeved

because she's in

cold outer space.

Love my little GPS George.

He's my little injection

of humor into this one.

Okay, guys. The judges

want to take a closer look.

Dawn Marie, tell us

about swimwear in outer space.

Well, I was kind of going

for that galactic Bond Girl.

Hi, Fernello.

Well, I love the organic feel

of your design.

Just want to see

cleaner lines from you.

- Are those icicles coming off
- of her eyes?

- Yes, they are.
- And they match the icicles

coming from under here.

- Why are there icicles
- coming off of her?

- Oh, I'll answer.
- It's underboob sweat

that turns into icicles.

Yes, that's really good.

I wanted to kind of give

kind of a rough leather design.

- There's something wrong
- with the engineering

of this swimsuit.

So meaning that, if--

- Like, if you do a cannonball
- in this swimsuit,

- that's just
- gonna fly straight up.

Right?

- Lana.
- Wow, look at that.

I wanted to do, like, really

complicated design, kind of.

Lot of detail in this

to see up close.

- Yeah, there was a lot
- going on there.

- You think it's too much?
- Mm-hmm.

There's such minimal paint

on here

that it better be perfect,

you know?

- And this line's not quite
- perfect.

It's real uneven.

Cheryl Ann.

The white and the curvature,

it really

accentuates her own curves.

This kind of badass leather

swimsuit from you, you know,

was kind of a nice surprise

when she walked out.

Thank you.

It's very sexy,

and the body jewelry, I mean,

you can't beat that.

Because you know--actually,

she looks like a Kardashian.

The detail that

you got is just phenomenal.

Everything about this

is really three-dimensional.

A sarong is so right.

- The judges have a lot
- to discuss.

We'll be back shortly.

Thank you.

Well, that was fun.

Dawn Marie, I liked her piece.

- I thought it was fun.
- It was creative.

She had a whole story.

- You know, I had a lot of fun.
- She had a little alien.

You know what? No girl

should leave home without one.

Aryn's model

looked smoking hot.

And she knew it.

She gave her such

a complete look to work with,

and just the forethought

- of, "Let's find
- some gold shimmer powder

and use it like a bronzer."

I mean,

that was a great idea.

- Lana's?

- There was so much going on.

My eye couldn't settle

on one thing.

Mm, she has a history of putting

too much into her design.

Let's talk about Avi's.

Well, he nailed the highlights.

He nailed the shadows.

I mean, that was just

done so realistically.

Yeah, it really did

speak of Phuket and Thailand.

And Cheryl Ann's model,

she looked fierce.

My favorite part was

the swirl in the torso area.

I really did love it.

- Uh-huh.
- Yeah.

- Okay, so have you made
- a decision?

It's a hard one,

but I think we know.

Yes.

Painters, each of you

created a swimsuit body paint

that took us on a journey to

destinations around the globe.

And that show

was really fun to watch.

The top three painters are...

Aryn.

Avi.

Cheryl Ann.

Congratulations.

Avi, your piece was

transcendental.

- Thank you very much.
- Well done.

Cheryl Ann,

you created a total look.

- You know?
- Head to toe.

Thank you.

Aryn, I lived in Miami Beach

and it really embodied

the spirit that area has.

Thank you so much.

The winner of

this challenge is...

It's me.

Avi.

- Yeah.
- Yay.

I'm so exciting.

- Oh, my God. That's amazing.
- Thank you.

Congratulations.

You are the winner,

and you just won $5,000

worth of glitter

and body art accessories

from Tattoo Junkie Body Art

Cosmetics.

Glitter!

Glitter party.

Okay. Moving on, painters.

In your first challenge,

you created dazzling swimsuit

looks on your beautiful models.

For this concept challenge,

you'll also create

an apparel look for your models.

Male models.

- All right.

- Yay.

Now, these aren't

just ordinary male models.

In fact,

they're not even ordinary males.

I am a little confused.

Around the world,

they're known as...

Queens!

Yeah!

- Oh, my God.
- They're wearing heels.

We are painting drag queens.

- Ru, did you help
- work this out?

Dragsolutely.

- Some of you might be
- in trouble.

- Uh-huh.
- They're all in trouble.

I feel terrified.

Drag queens are probably the

most pickiest about their stuff.

- If you don't do their makeup
- right, that's it.

- You're done.
- You're toast.

And I've never done makeup

before in my life.

You are going to create

a body paint fit for royalty.

That's right.

- They are the queens
- from Logo TV's

RuPaul's Drag Race.

Fabulous. We're gonna get the

chance to paint drag queens.

For this challenge, you

will have to transform these men

into their favorite

female music icons.

- Ooh.
- Wow.

Your design has to be

a head-to-toe,

front-to-back red carpet look

for a music awards show.

That means

apparel and makeup.

- I don't know how I'm
- gonna paint these drag queens.

- Do we put pasties
- on a drag queen?

How does that work?

You will have five hours

to get them red carpet ready.

You will be judged on

creativity and design concept,

technique,

and execution of the challenge.

Ru, is there anything

the painters should know

about our models?

Oh, hell yes.

Y'all are gonna be dealing

with real stars.

They know what they like.

They know what they don't like.

They're gonna be your key

to this challenge.

Listen to what

they have to say,

or you will have hell to pay!

Okay?

- Are they gonna
- be ticking time bombs?

Oh, that's a good question.

- Ladies, are you
- ticking time bombs?

- Uh-huh.

- Yeah.

Okay, now it's time

to pair you up with your models.

Avi, Yara Sofia.

Drag me into Shakira.

You know my hips don't lie.

Shakira.

Rio, Tammie Brown.

Roll me on down

into Tina Turner.

Fernello, Mariah.

Janet.

Ms. Jackson 'cause I'm nasty.

Cheryl Ann,

Vivienne Pinay.

- Nick Nick Nick Nick
- Nicki Minaj.

- Ooh.

I was hoping I would get you.

Sammie, Alyssa Edwards.

Katy Perry.

Dawn Marie, Jessica Wild.

Beyoncé.

Lana, Venus D-Lite.

- Madonna.

- I love Madonna.

- I have so many ideas
- on what to paint.

Aryn, Detox.

Turn me into Cyndi Lauper.

So that means Kyle,

Laganja Estranja.

Lady Gaga.

Come on, monsters.

- Okay, painters.
- We'll give you a chance to

consult with

your models tomorrow.

- It's time to go home
- and rest up.

- All right now.
- Good night.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

Wait, have any of you even

worked with drag queens before?

- No.
- No, but I do know

- facial reconstruction
- when it comes to painting.

Do you know how long

they work on just their makeup?

- Listen.
- Just to let you know.

- Two and a half hours
- at minimum.

I'm curious to see

what's gonna go down.

Queens don't want

to be assistants, either.

Oh, Cheryl Ann's screwed.

She's gonna get so humbled.

Cheryl Ann's gonna

try to take control,

and drag queens

do not like that one bit.

I can't wait for it.

Hi.

How are you?

- Good to meet you.
- Nice to meet you too.

Are you ready for this?

Let your voice be

the direction to my hands.

I have a loud voice.

Listen, speak loudly.

- I was gonna talk to you.
- I drew up a whole bunch.

- Okay.
- And I was just gonna see

- what you like.
- 'Cause I'm losing my voice,

so I'm like, ugh,

the one day

that I can be me

and be fun and outgoing,

- I don't have the voice
- to portray it.

Nicki is all about...

- I have to build you an ass.

- I'm all about that.

- Absolutely.
- I need a big fat ass.

Okay.

Keep it, like... but cute.

- Yeah.
- I will see if we can find fabric

and glue it between the legs.

Oh, that's a thing.

- So it's gonna look
- actually a skirt.

I'm really digging

all of this, too.

- Yeah.
- I love all this section.

My drag queen is Detox.

There's actually

a pair of, like, pants

- that she wore that were
- just yellow and black...

- Mm-hmm.
- That I kind of based those on.

I love it all.

My concept is to stick with

the more '80s Cyndi Lauper,

with the red and yellow

kind of fire hair.

I'm so excited.

- All right. Let's do it.

- Yeah.

Oh, do it.

Do it.

I actually do hair and makeup.

- You do?
- But not body painting.

So I have no idea

about anything.

- Oh, you're gonna--
- So I'm trusting you, girl.

Nicki Minaj has a big booty.

So to give Ms. Vivienne a big

booty, I'm going to use felt

and craft foam pads

to try and make, like,

prosthetic asses.

- And then once the paint's
- on there, will it look,

like, smoother?

Yeah.

- Yeah, you can go ahead
- and tuck 'em.

- It's up to you.
- Yeah.

Tuck it and I'll redraw it.

I have naked ladies

around me all the time,

and now we're painting

male models.

So as long as I don't have

to paint no butts and balls,

I'm fine.

- I'm gonna get
- the gluing in the back

and I'm gonna glue the top.

- Even though I didn't make it
- in the top three,

I'm going to continue

to go with my gut instinct.

I like to show my glitter,

and I think Beyoncé

works for that.

Nah, you're good.

So I can get those details

in the face,

- I'm gonna have to shorten
- the amount of time

it takes me to paint

the actual clothing.

'Cause that face

has to be right on.

Cheryl Ann,

the butt just look bad.

That is horrible!

That is a lot of ass.

- I'm a little nervous
- about the ass.

I'm not gonna lie.

That's gonna look good.

I've been in

the top three a lot,

so obviously I know

what I'm doing.

It still stands out,

and it's a little crinkled.

- But I'll paint--
- I'll tell you what.

- I can just paint a design
- on it too.

And that'll hide everything.

I am trying to win this,

so I am really sticking

to what I know.

Please just trust me

and let me take the lead.

If it were up to me,

I would start over.

There's no starting over.

Do it like...

- Do it really thick?
- Okay.

I am so excited about this

because I've done drag shows

in the past.

I've done drag makeup on myself.

I've got this.

This is my challenge to win.

It's so hard to be a woman.

Seriously.

My friends are gonna

lose they freaking mind.

- I've never worked with a
- professional drag queen before.

The most challenging thing

is gonna be creating the makeup.

You're doing good.

I have to create boob cleavage,

and I have to create a dress

- that's gonna be able
- to go over all of that.

Yeah.

- I really dig it.
- Yeah?

I put a lot of time and energy

into thinking about

what I wanted to do.

I want to make her really happy,

- and that's the biggest point
- of this whole challenge

is to make sure

that your drag queen is happy.

Hi!

- Hi.

- Wow.

Well, it just feels

like a family reunion for me.

- All right, well,
- we can't wait to walk around

- and find out
- about what you're working on.

Fernello, what are you

most nervous about?

- Definitely the makeup
- application

since I have no history

or no skill set in that area.

- I'm gonna
- have to be a true artist today

and really listen and learn.

Hi, Kyle.

- Who's your icon?

- Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga.

- Do you have any experience
- with makeup?

I used to teach beauty,

but drag is not beauty.

It's more.

I can't wait to see

what you all come up with.

So what era Madonna

are you all doing?

Old Madonna and

new Madonna combined look.

- You don't have a lot
- of paint on it.

- No.
- You better get painting.

- Yes, I will
- jump on it right away.

To take a gender and change it

into another gender,

- whether it's the same color
- or not,

- I'm just gonna
- say it's a challenge.

- I'm gonna reach
- out to the challenge,

- I'ma get the job done.
- We're gonna get this job done.

- Great.
- This is Nicki Minaj,

and I have to show you

his best asset.

- Oh.
- Whoa.

- Badonkadonk.
- Hey.

Seems a little bumpy right now.

And how do you feel

about what she's done so far?

- I'm nervous.
- Sure.

So have you guided her with

what the makeup's doing so far?

- Yeah, I've tried to.
- I've tried to.

You've tried to,

but to no avail?

Is that what you're saying?

Um, you know,

we're working on it.

- Like, a few years ago
- I went to actually her concert.

- To Shakira's concert?
- Yeah.

She start with this huge snake

on her neck,

so that's my inspiration.

- I actually drew her face.

- Wow.

So I can figure

how to do the shadow

and the eyes and everything.

That's a gorgeous,

gorgeous dress.

- It looks like a Cavalli.
- Mm-hmm.

I want to wear that dress.

- I'm sorry.
- I can't take it off.

- I know.
- Can I borrow it?

- So you're doing Cyndi Lauper?
- Mm-hmm.

- So how's
- the collaboration going?

- A, it's very Cyndi Lauper.
- It's very me.

- I think that we've been
- working together very well.

- Mm-hmm.
- Yeah.

- I'm pretty much her
- bitch right now, as usual.

I'm here to help her win this.

When I think Beyoncé,

I think fierce

and I think gold.

She just pops.

She's got this fierceness,

and I think that the golds

and the black will really

make that work for her.

- Okay, great.
- Well, painters,

we can tell that you have really

kicked it into high gear today.

- Good luck. We can't wait to see
- what you come up with.

Bye!

Bye!

It might help you

if you pull the eye like that.

- It's so funny
- to have all these guys

in here directing guys

on how to do makeup.

- I'm gonna take this brush
- and kind of go right

on top of my brow bone.

Ah, okay.

- I definitely don't know
- anything about makeup,

- so I'm taking a lot
- of direction,

- and I definitely have to
- work on that face.

- 'Cause that's
- my biggest obstacle right now,

is making Ms. Mariah look

like Ms. Jackson.

So I'm gonna do like that.

- Just open your legs
- for a second. Open them.

Perfect, perfect.

I feel amazing.

- Am I getting the abs?
- I'm getting 'em.

- I'm getting 'em.
- Yeah.

Touch this skin, honey.

Touch all of this skin.

I'm painting a

Bad Romance inspired look,

and it's actually looking

like a drag queen right now.

- So I'm feeling very confident
- at this point.

Perfect. Good.

Done. Yes.

Oh, thank God.

So the loser

has to come in here and shower?

The model does, yeah.

- The who?
- The model.

Uh, the model has to shower?

Mm-hmm.

Girl, no.

I'm killing it.

Wow, you look like Janet.

I noticed Fernello spent

a lot of time on the face,

and his face is beautiful.

But the clothing

is just so boring.

- I hope y'all bitches ready,
- honey.

This face look perfect.

- The rest of the body
- just no detail.

Just black.

They might be in trouble.

Glue here.

Don't be scared.

All right, girls.

We got 10 minutes, honey.

Drag time, that's 30 seconds.

- Aah.

- Ooh, girl.

We are pressed for time.

I'm looking at Lana's Madonna

and there's a lot of black going

on which is very unlike Lana.

Ooh, there's so much pressure.

Lana's Madonna,

she has the Rebel Heart phase.

She's got the corset.

She's got all kinds of things.

I don't know what is going on.

We only have one minute.

Time's up and I really wish

that I could do a little more

of a solid design on the front.

Five. Four. Three. Two. One.

Time's up!

- Wow.

- Yeah.

Judges can't wait to see you,

so everybody

follow me to the stage.

Let's go.

Get your bags packed,

'cause somebody's going home.

Welcome back, painters.

- How was this challenge?
- Pretty good?

Amazing.

- For this challenge,
- your job was to

give the queens from

Logo TV's RuPaul's Drag Race

a red carpet look

for a musical awards show.

You had five hours to get

your models red carpet ready,

and we can't wait for you

to dazzle us with some glam.

Let's welcome back

our revered judges.

Craig Tracy.

- Hey, guys.
- Robin Slonina.

Hello.

And the Grand Dame

of Drag, RuPaul Charles.

You just try to paint me

into a corner.

Okay, painters.

The red carpet's ready.

Let's see your models

strut their stuff.

I am watching Beyoncé

strut down that red carpet.

She is owning that gown.

She has this glam, gold, black,

high-contrast fierce look.

She is Beyoncé right now.

I wanted her outfit to

have the more '80s Cyndi Lauper

with those hot colors,

and be kind of flamey

but still have a lot

of darkness and contrast

because Cyndi Lauper also

wore a lot of black.

She looks phenomenal

and really turned out exactly

how I imagined it in my head.

My idea was to combine

looks of different Madonna.

The signature Madonna,

she's always wearing gloves.

She used a lot

of laces and roses.

Yes.

I nailed it.

She totally screams Shakira.

First thing, it's I have

to create a snake texture

on the fabric.

Shakira, she's always

showing her skin.

I was afraid a little bit

to show too much skin,

so I create a lot

of cool designs

to cover it but still show skin.

I look at her

and I see Nicki Minaj.

I'm very happy.

She looks lovely.

We decided on the Nicki Minaj

from a couple years ago

when she was

more bubblegum pink hair.

I have drawn gloves.

- I had all these
- different elements.

Ooh.

- As Lady Gaga steps out,
- I think,

"Man, this is in the sack."

I decided to do one stocking

because it's sexy

and it totally looks like

Lady Gaga.

I got Tina's signature legs

and the face

as close as I could,

but Tina Turner's dress?

Not so good.

To me, she looks

just like Katy Perry.

I gave her the narrow waistline

and little pedal pushers

with a pin-up feel.

I'm not feeling confident

when I see Ms. Janet

walking on that red carpet.

My diva looked exactly

like Janet Jackson in the face.

Unfortunately, I didn't get

to put as much detail

in the actual clothing.

- I just hope these judges
- see the work

that I put into the drag makeup.

- Whoo-hoo!

Yeah.

Judges, what do you think?

- It felt
- really special,

and it felt like the night

was filled with stars.

Aryn, please come present

your work.

I present Cyndi Lauper.

I thought this painting

was dangerous

to your competitors

because I love it so much.

The leggings are amazing.

It's dynamic.

- Well done.
- Thank you, Aryn.

Thank you, Detox.

Lana.

- Madonna and child.

- Uh-huh.

Mm.

I thought it will be nice

to create all ages

of Madonna in one outfit.

Gloves to me look so faded,

and there's so much black

on the front it's almost

looking a little bit dirty.

I've been there for every look

she's ever done,

and I see every look

she's ever done on your model,

which I don't think

is probably the best choice.

- So you think there could
- have been more editing?

It could've been

a lot more edited, yeah.

- Lana, this isn't
- the first time

- you've gotten this note about
- editing.

Okay, Avi.

Avi, I thought this

painting was pure energy.

Pure passion.

I have mixed feelings

about the skirt.

- You know,
- I see what you were going for.

It was, like,

weird if she have, like, open.

So I wanted to create, like,

just to close it

so it looks like full fabric.

To me, it just seems

a little bit like cheating.

Thank you, Avi.

Thank you, Yara Sofia.

Shalom.

Shalom.

Here comes Sammie and Alyssa

Edwards as Miss Katy Perry.

- At first,
- I wanted to do pink and black.

But the shoes were red,

so I wanted to do red and black.

When you're given an icon

like Katy Perry,

- you want it to read.
- You know?

And she is that bubblegum look.

Fernello and Mariah

dressed up as Ms. Jackson.

Ms. Nasty.

Janet Jackson.

I love the silhouette.

I just want to see

more painting.

What I'm missing

are those little details.

- You know, the lines
- in the zipper.

I wish that zipper had an end

on it.

So it's details

that make you say,

"This is Janet, not LaToya."

Look at those legs,

Ms. Tammy Brown.

They're my gift.

They are just gorgeous.

- When she first came out,
- I thought she was wearing

- her pajamas on
- the red carpet.

It looked like a camisa

and a little pair

of silk undies to me.

Why are the titties so low?

- At the time,
- it wasn't drooping.

- It wasn't dropping, so I didn't
- have much of an issue with it.

And as I continued to paint,

those issues started to arise.

Just wouldn't be an issue

if the top of the camisa

were actually lower.

- Thank you, Rio.
- Thank you, Tammy.

- Thank you.
- All right.

Cheryl Ann with Vivienne Pinay

as Nicki Minaj.

May I present to you,

Ms. Nicki.

I wanted to incorporate a lot

of details to add, like,

an asymmetrical flare.

Just to give it

that lovely layered

if you're going out

on the red carpet.

You want to turn to the side?

- Whoo.

They look more like

lovely lady lumps.

- Vivienne,
- what do you think of the outfit?

I feel like I'm about to jump

into a clown car.

Me as a drag queen,

my look is everything.

I have to feel like the most

beautiful drag queen

in the room.

Is it just the makeup?

Well, it's kind of everything.

I mean, even whenever

I started out drag,

I didn't look like this.

I wouldn't even post

a selfie of this.

Is someone paying her

to throw me under the bus?

I wouldn't even post

a selfie of this.

Is someone paying her

to throw me under the bus?

Would you, personally,

like a booty like that?

Um, maybe.

I would try.

I would try it.

Karma.

I didn't know that

I was making her so unhappy

during the process.

She did offer to instruct you

and it didn't work.

Communication will fix this

in the future.

I'm convinced.

Dawn Marie

and Jessica Wild as Beyoncé.

- Love you.

- I love you.

I think that the accessories

- are just the right amount
- of bling.

They're a really strong

statement and they're working.

Everything just really

seems to flatter your model

and work for me.

- Thank you.
- It's a really good painting.

Thank you so much.

Kyle and Laganja Stranja.

Come on, Skin Wars.

Let's get sickening.

Okay?

Please, kids at home.

Do not try this at home.

Kyle, I really think

this is a sexy piece.

I think it's a smart piece.

A little naked on the arms,

but a really great use

of accessories.

- Okay.
- Well, thank you, Kyle.

- Thank you, Laganja.
- Thanks, guys.

Okay, painters.

Clearly you've given our judges

a lot to discuss.

- We're gonna send you back
- to the lounge

and we'll bring you out soon.

Thank you.

Cheryl Ann, was there

some communication issues

with you and your client?

I don't even know

what happened.

It was crazy.

And I'm such a strong painter.

I'm not used to...

no one ever not liking my paint.

I'm gonna shoot straight.

You do have an issue

with bullying.

You do have an issue of kind

of pushing your way on others.

At this point in the game,

I can't take anything

he says as personal.

- It really has
- no reflection on me at all.

They're all his issues.

Well, tonight was

unlike anything

- I've ever done
- as a body painting judge ever.

I don't believe you.

I don't believe you.

So what did you think

about Aryn and Cyndi Lauper?

A total head-to-toe design.

She's been kind of going

under the radar at first.

I don't know why you guys

keep being so surprised by Aryn.

She's just kind of quiet...

- She is.

- So I'm not expecting anything.

What did you think

about Lana and Madonna?

I think Lana just still

doesn't know how to edit.

She can paint.

She just kind of blew it here.

Yeah. It was like

Madonna had a garage sale

in Pacoima.

Avi and Shakira.

Shakira looked beautiful.

- I don't like
- that little addition

of the flap of the skirt.

I'd like to see that illusion

tackled with paint.

Rio and Tina Turner.

I wasn't feeling red carpet.

The boobs were so low.

Fernello's

Janet Jackson.

There could've been stitching.

- There could've been,
- you know, a--

Could've been a pocket.

I felt like

he took a black sponge

and did her whole body

and then did a little outlining.

You know, I think Dawn Marie

has really grown a lot

as a painter.

I was a big fan of this one.

I love the color.

I love the bling.

- Let's talk about Cheryl Ann
- and Nicki Minaj.

What was up with

that stuffed underwear?

It was lumpier

than Irish oatmeal.

It was a complete catastrophe.

She is a fantastic painter.

It just didn't connect

with the model.

So have we made a decision?

- Yeah.
- I think so.

- Yeah?
- All right.

Welcome back, painters.

One of you will be

tonight's winner,

and one of you

will be going home.

Kyle.

Sammie.

You're both safe.

Yes.

You may head back to the lounge.

Thank you.

Avi.

Dawn Marie.

Aryn.

Congratulations.

You are our top three

for tonight.

I made the top three!

- Top three,
- please step forward.

One of you is

tonight's winner.

And the winner is...

I've never won

on a concept challenge.

I could have a chance with this.

One of you is

tonight's winner.

- I'm feeling pretty confident
- today.

- I think I could win
- this challenge.

And the winner is...

Aryn.

Congratulations.

- Aah!

You created a world

on your model

and it was fantastic.

Aryn, you really

started out under the radar.

- Mm-hmm.
- What's it like to win tonight?

Feels freaking amazing

to win today.

Well, congratulations

to all of you.

You may head back to the lounge.

- Thank you very much.

- Thank you so much.

I like this winning thing.

I hope it happens more.

Rio.

Lana.

Fernello.

Cheryl Ann.

You are the bottom four.

It's time to find out

who's going home.

Cheryl Ann.

Rio.

You are both safe

for one more week.

Thank you so much

for giving me a second chance.

You may head back

to the lounge.

Lana, you just put

too many things together

in this one painting.

Fernello, Janet Jackson

looked great from a distance,

but there was just

no detail for us.

The painter who will be

going home is...

Fernello.

Don't cry.

Just win,

that's all you got to do.

Lana, you are safe.

Please go back

to the painter's lounge.

- Fernello,
- we liked your piece tonight.

It just felt unfinished.

And I'm just really hoping

that you keep pushing yourself,

and you become a much stronger

artist through learning

and challenging yourself.

It's been really fun

having you here.

I have so much respect

for all of you.

- Likewise.
- I really like this one, too.

I like you back.

- I'll see you guys
- on the other side.

Fantastic. Fernello, it's time

to wash off your canvas.

- This is definitely
- not the last of Fernello.

This is just an introduction

to Fernello.

Peasants.

- Pay attention to the client,
- all right?

- Okay.
- Remember that.

Even though it

was a great silhouette,

I lack in those fine details

which was the downfall

to my piece.

I know you're gonna miss me.

- I know.
- It's okay.

You don't need Kleenex.

- You don't need any tissues
- or anything like that,

but Fernello will be back.

Don't worry, okay?

Be happy.

Peace out.

Next time on Skin Wars...

Aren't you glad

you aren't Fernello?

Too soon, Ru.

Create a body paint

that makes Ru laugh.

I'm not a standup comic.

Your job is to

transform their bodies

into perfect visions of horror.

Yes.

- Do you girls want
- to go over the story?

I really don't want her to

take over this whole project.

- I wanted
- a little bit more concept.

The story was

super confusing for me.

Who would be bottom?

Sammie's piece.

I wouldn't be surprised

if I left.
