[Tituss] Whoo!

Welcome to Sing On!

Six extraordinary contestants,

five epic songs from the 80s,

and one jackpot of up to $60,000!

Hanah, welcome to Sing On!

If you could duet with an artist
from the 80s, who would you choose?

I would duet with Whitney Houston.

What a powerhouse singer.

-My personal favorite.
-[audience cheering]

Yes, what an honor that would be.

Tell us about your amazing memory,

which, I guess, is an advantage
memorizing the lyrics.

Yeah, so I'm just really good

at, um, memorizing things
when I hear them.

Like the songs... I know the riffs,
every bit,

and I like doing that.

Well, watch out y'all.

[laughs]

[Tituss laughs]

Allison, there's some serious competition
on this stage.

What gives you an advantage?

Well, my friends like to call me, uh,
"Jukebox," if you will.

-Okay.
-I love music. I have my entire life.

So I'm just happy to be here
to sing all the music that I can.

I think you'll do well here.

-Thank you.
-[audience cheers]

-Whoo!
-Give it up for Jeremy!

-[audience cheering]
-Hi. How you doing?

Has singing always been a passion?

Not as much as
competition cheerleading.

So, when I was younger,
I was a cheer coach.

-[Tituss] Really?
-Wow.

That competitiveness
is going to carry on here.

Uh-oh. Y'all better watch out!

We don't need judges on this show.

We've got the vocal analyzer
to do the work.

You know the score.
The more they sing in tune,

the more cash they add
to the jackpot.

And one of them
is guaranteed to win it all!

[audience cheering]

The lyrics are assigned randomly,
so they have no idea

when it's their turn to sing.

-[laughs]
-[audience] Ooh!

Oh, cry me a river.

Y'all ready for some music?

Yeah!

For $10,000,

let's hit play on the "80s Mixtape"

with one of the most influential artists
of all time.

And don't forget,

if you want to bank the money,
no crazy riffs, okay?

Give it up for our contestants
as they sing "Like a Virgin,"

-for the very first time.
-[audience cheering]

Whoo!

Sing!

Yes!

[Tituss] Oh, man!

That was awesome!

Whoa!

This is going to be so exciting.

-Y'all sounded so good.
-[laughs]

According to the vocal analyzer,

together you all just banked...

an awesome $6,900.

Which singer has the highest score
and moves to the next round?

Well, with a score of 84%...

[audience] Ooh!

...the most accurate singer was Hanah!

-Oh!
-[audience cheers]

Ahh!

How do you feel, Hanah?

Amazing. I can't believe
I'm here right now.

-Aww.
-It's great.

Well, believe it.

Oh!

So, Hanah will sing on,

but that means everyone else
faces elimination.

Singers, decide.

And here's their scores just for you.

Will they choose someone they think
is banking the least cash,

or a possible rival?

Hanah,

since you're safe from elimination,
let's ask you first.

Who do you want to leave?

I voted for Jeremy

because I felt like you missed
a couple of timings.

That's it.

[Tituss] Jeremy,

who got your vote, brother?

Matt got my vote.

Matt, who got your vote?

I voted for Matthew.

He took it up an octave,
a bold choice.

There were a couple moments
that could have been

better-suited in the lower octaves.

Matthew, who did you choose?

I chose Jeremy.

I thought there were some notes
that I don't remember Madonna singing.

I see.

Glynis, my dear?

I voted for Jeremy.

-[audience] Aww!
-[Tituss] All right.

Allison?

I also voted for Jeremy.

-[Titus] Oh.
-[audience] Aww!

So, Jeremy received the most votes.

I'm very sad to say,

it's game over for you.

But would you stay and sing on with us?

Of course.

-Give it up for Jeremy!
-[audience cheers]

-Thank you, watch your step.
-Jeremy!

Well, I've got some bad news, folks.

The least accurate singer
is still in the game.

[audience] Ooh!

And they banked the least cash.

-[audience gasps] Ooh!
-[Tituss] Uh-oh.

And speaking of cash,

we gotta talk about
the most important part of the show,

my "Tituss Prize"!

From now on, Tituss has $500

to award to one singer

who gives the best performance.

But Tituss' "Tituss Prize"
is not for singing.

Tituss' prize is all about emotion,

so let Tituss see your pasión,please.

[audience laughs, cheers]

Whoo! Whoo!

-Hi, Matthew.
-Hey, there.

Are you here because you love to sing,
or you love to win?

-Both.
-Both?

-All right.
-Yes.

-That's a good answer.
-Yeah.

So, I grew up in a big family.

-I had... I have seven siblings.
-All right.

So there's a lot of competition
with a lot of siblings.

They expect me to win,

so I'm trying
to bring home the gold.

-Uh...
-[audience applauding]

Got a lot of family
to share that money with.

-[chuckles] Don't count on it.
-[laughs]

Welcome to Sing On!,Glynis,
you look beautiful.

-Thank you.
-[audience cheering]

Thank you, all. Thank you.

You're a veteran of the US Army.

-Thank you for your service.
-You're welcome.

[audience cheering]

I'm guessing, there's no danger
of you getting stage-fright?

-Absolutely not.
-Okay.

I've jumped
out of helicopters before, so...

-Are you serious?
-You know...

I'm not afraid right now.

[audience applauds]

Howdy, Matt.

You're from Iowa,
so would you describe yourself

as a country boy?

I would, actually.

You know what?
Um, I grew up camping and fishing,

-going to rodeos, all that stuff.
-[audience cheers]

-[laughs]
-How long you been singing for?

I started when I was five years old.

I thought I would grow up
to be in a boy band.

Most of those are gone,
but we're here, right?

-This is...
-You're here.

This is the ultimate singing competition.

[audience cheering]

The next track on our "80s Mixtape",
is "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club.

It turned Boy George
into a global superstar back in 1984.

Don't forget,
if you want to bank the money,

then stick to the melody.

Sing on!

[audience cheering]

[audience cheering]

[Tituss] Oh, man.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!

[Tituss] Oh-ho-ho!

That was an awesome performance,

but I'm not giving
my "Tituss Prize" away just yet.

I got a feeling there's a lot more cooking
in these contestants.

Let's find out how much cash
you all banked.

Congratulations, everyone,

your performance of "Karma Chameleon"
just added...

$7,450!

Which means the total jackpot
is now worth

a tasty $14,350.

And that was a close result.

Two of you scored 82%,

but the person who won it by a fraction...

was Allison.

Allison is guaranteed to sing again,

but no one else is safe.

It's that time.

Our singers gotta decide
who they want to leave the stage.

Decide, bro.

And here's their scores just for you.

Will they choose
the person banking the least cash,

or a possible rival?

Let's start with our most accurate singer,

who's safe from elimination.

Allison...

[in German accent]
who do you want to leave?

I voted for Glynis.

I just felt like it was a little low
on your range.

Okay.

Glynis, who did you choose?

I voted for Matthew,
because I felt like a few of the notes

were not on key, so that's my reason.

[Tituss] All right.

Matthew, my friend?

I voted for Glynis.

[audience] Ooh!

I felt like it was
a little bit low for you,

so it was hard to hit some notes.

Matt, who got your vote?

I voted for Matthew.

[audience] Ooh!

I swear, I'm not gunning for you.

I just felt like it wasn't
your best performance. I'm sorry.

[Tituss] Matthew and Glynis
both have two votes.

So this next vote is crucial
if they want to sing on.

Hanah...

is a palindrome.

[audience laughs]

Who did you choose?

I voted for Matthew...

[audience loudly] Ooh!

...because I felt like some of the notes,

you didn't hold them all the way.

[Tituss] Sorry, Matthew.

You got the most votes.
We know what that means.

I think you've got a bright future
ahead of you.

-Will you stay and sing on with us?
-Yes.

-Give it up for Matthew.
-[audience cheers]

[Matthew] We did it.

-Good job.
-You did good.

I can tell you this,

the other singer that got 82%
for "Karma Chameleon"

was Matthew.

[audience] Aww!

Thanks, guys.

[chuckles]

And once again,

the singer that banked the least money

is still in the game.

[audience] Ooh!

Let's raise the stakes,
and double the money.

[audience cheering]

Okay. Okay.

Every song is now worth $20,000.

-[audience] Whoo!
-You can all thank me later.

[audience laughs]

Allison, how would that jackpot
change your life?

[exhales sharply]
It would just be so amazing.

I'd like to give it back to my parents,

and then I'd like to...

-Back to me.
-Yes, to you, other friends...

Matt, we've lost two singers.

So who's your biggest rival
left in this game?

Wow.

I know that, uh, Glynis

got a lot of heat on that last song,

but I'm a bit worried about Glynis
going forward.

[Tituss] All right.

Let's get back to the 80s.
How about it?

Our first "Double Money" song
was a worldwide hit in 1986.

-It's worth $20,000...
-[audience cheers]

...and there's some
tricky rhythms to nail.

Remember, my "Tituss Prize"
is still up for grabs.

Oh, what a feeling,

this is Lionel Richie's
"Dancing On The Ceiling."

[audience cheering]

Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!

[audience cheers]

[audience cheers]

Keep it going, because somebody's
getting my "Tituss Prize"!

And guess who's getting it?

-Matthew!
-[audience cheering]

Yeah! Yeah!

Yeah.

Matthew, you had the moves
all through that song.

You just won 500 bucks. How do you feel?

I feel great.

I feel $500 richer,

and 82%, which is a solid "B."

-Yeah.
-[all cheering]

Thank you.

[Tituss] Oh, what a feeling.

Congratulations to you all.

Together you just banked...

a massive $12,000.

-Ooh!
-[audience cheering]

And that means the total jackpot
is now worth $26,350.

But, bro, who's going on
to the next round?

[audience laughs]

Well, by 1%,

with a score of 63%,

our most accurate singer was...

Allison.

[audience cheering]

[Allison] Yeah!

But I'm sad to say,

it's time to lose another singer
from the stage.

[audience] Aww!

Decide.

Allison,

you were the most accurate singer again.

Who do you want to leave?

This time I voted for Hanah.

I thought there was some notes
that were a little pitchy.

Hanah?

I voted for Glynis,

because I thought
there was a little bit of extra riffing.

Glynis, who did you vote for?

I voted for Matt.

[audience moans]

I felt that I heard a few notes in there

-that weren't completely on.
-[Tituss] Okay.

-Matt?
-I voted for Hanah.

[Tituss, audience] Oh!

For me, it was an energy thing.
It wanted to be more hyped up.

So, Hanah received the most votes

and must now leave the stage.

Hanah, I've enjoyed you so.

-Would you stay and sing on with us?
-Yes.

Give it up for Hanah!

[audience cheering]

-[Hanah] Hi! I'm so sorry.
-Don't worry about it.

Now that's the third time in a row

the singer that banked the least cash

has avoided elimination.

[audience] Ooh!

Yikes.

This is getting tense, y'all,

and I'm freaking out

because it's "Golden Note" time.

[audience cheering]

Our next song is "Alone" by Heart,
and it contains three special notes,

one for each singer.

Anyone who holds their "Golden Note"
instantly wins $1,000,

and they take that home, no matter what!

I've got to warn you...

the least accurate singer
will automatically be eliminated.

[audience laughs]

Glynis, you made it to our final three.
How you feeling?

I'm feeling a little nervous,

-but I'm ready to go forward.
-I love it.

Matt,

is "Alone" going to suit your voice?

I mean, written for a woman,
sung originally by a woman,

super, super high...

What could go wrong?

[all laughing]

And my dear Allison,

who's gonna be your biggest competition?

I think I've got great competition
on both levels, both of them, so...

I'm just ready to see what happens
with that "Golden Note."

It's one of the biggest power ballads
of the 80s!

It's "Alone", bro.

[audience cheering]

[audience cheers]

[audience cheers]

[Tituss] Whoo!

Whoa.

Hey hey!

Yeah.

The 80s are back, baby.

And congratulations
to our "Golden Note" winners

taking home $1,000 each,

Allison and Matt!

[audience cheering]

And together, everyone just banked,

listen up...

-$15,100!
-[audience cheering]

Which means the total jackpot
is now worth...

$41,450!

Get it. Get it. Get it.

For one singer,

this musical trip down memory lane
