Welcome to Sing On!

Five, massive, chart-topping hits,

six contestants, and a jackpot
of up to $60,000!

Whoo!

That's big money.

You're welcome.

[audience cheers]

Mona, welcome to Sing On!

Have you ever performed
for a crowd this big?

I have.
For my eighth grade graduation,

I sang "The Way We Were"
by Barbra Streisand...

-Oh.
-...in front of 2,000 people.

-Wow!
-[audience cheers]

Do you love Barbra Streisand, still?

Barbra Streisand will always be the queen.

I completely agree. I completely agree.

Welcome to the show.

-Hi, Donovan!

-Oh! Who's your musical hero?

The queen, for me, is Tina Turner.

She is my idol, she is everything.

Have you seen her live?

In the year 2000, I saw her 21 times.

We got some fanboys and girls
in here tonight. Let's have a good time.

We'll catch up with everyone else
later in the show.

Well, get those voices ready.

Our first song is worth
up to $10,000!

[audience cheering]

But who's judging their voices?
Well, it's not me.

♪ It's the Sing On!vocal analyzer ♪

[audience cheering]

Whoo!

FYI, the vocal analyzer compares

this performance to the original artist.

The more they sing in tune,
the more money they add to the jackpot,

and one of them
is guaranteed to win it all.

Only the most accurate singer
goes on to the next round,

while someone else
gets voted out of the game.

You've got to be cruel to be kind.

[audience] Aww!

And the lyrics are assigned randomly,
so they have no idea

when it's their turn to sing. [laughs]

[audience laughs]

Y'all ready for some music?

[audience cheering]

Our first song is "Believe" by Cher.
Ho-ho-ho-ho!

There's a lot of notes to hit,

and your vocal control
needs to be on point.

Take it away. [chuckles]

[audience cheering]

-[audience cheering]
-[Tituss] Whoo! Oh, my God.

Oh!

Oh!

Oh, man.

That was poppin'.

The vocal analyzer has checked every note

and out of a possible $10,000,

you all banked...

Listen to this,

$6,500!

Yeah, that was a tough opening number.

You made a great start.

That money is safe in the jackpot.

Now, the singers have no idea
how anyone scored,

but which singer
has the highest score

and is going on to the next round?

Well...

-[audience] Ooh!
-...with 73%,

the most accurate singer is...

-He's simply the best, it's Donovan!
-What?

[audience cheering]

[Donovan laughs]

[cheering continues]

Yeah.

How does that feel, Donovan?

I feel great. I'm surprised it was me.
Wow.

I thought it would be Rebecca.
She sang great.

I'm surprised.

So, Donovan will sing on,

but everyone else faces elimination.

[audience] Ooh!

But who goes?

Well, here's the twist.

It's up to the singers to decide.
[snickers]

[audience] Ooh!

So, singers,

decide!

And here's their scores, just for you.

Will they choose someone
who they think is missing their notes,

or try to remove a rival? Hmm...

All right, Donovan,

since you're safe from elimination,
you go first.

-Oh... Oh, God.
-[Tituss laughs]

Who do you want to leave?

A singer who's not added to the jackpot,
or a potential rival?

Who got your vote?

None of them.

[Tituss, audience] Aww.

Team player.

You gotta choose.

I pick Zak.

[audience] Ooh!

I had to pick and choose,
and I didn't know who to pick.

That's all right.
Zak, what about you?

I picked Mona.

I think she struggled
with the entrance to her part,

which I think I also did.

If you miss a note,
you miss the cash in this game.

So, all right, Mona,
who did you choose, darling?

Um, I chose Zak as well.

-Okay.
-[audience] Aww!

Holly, who got your vote?

I chose Mona.

[audience] Ooh!

I'm sorry.

[Tituss] This is a close vote.

All right. Chaneé, who did you choose?

I also chose Zak.

[audience] Ooh!

Just, the pitch gotta be on.
We gotta get this money.

Fair enough.

-It's the name of the game, right?
-[audience cheers]

And, Rebecca?

I also chose Mona.

[audience] Aww!

We have a tie.

Mona and Zak
have received three votes each.

Which means whoever has the lowest score
according to the vocal analyzer

is out of the game.

[audience] Ooh!

And I'm very sad to say...

that that person is...

-Mona.
-[audience] Aww!

I'm sorry.
Have you enjoyed your time here?

-Yeah.
-Would you stay and sing on with us?

-Yes, I would.
-Give it up for Mona.

[audience cheering]

Uh-oh. I've got some bad news
for our remaining singers.

Yikes.

And speaking of cash,

I forgot to tell you all
about the "Tituss Prize"!

I've got $500 to give to one singer

who gives the best performance.

My prize is not about the vocal.

Zak, who do you want to leave the stage?

I voted for Donovan.

-[audience] Ooh!
-He sang incredibly well

and, actually, a beautiful harmony line

Donovan, who got your vote?

I picked Holly.

Oh, some of them didn't shine so bright.

Chanée, who got your vote?

You guys did a great job.

-$15,800!
-[audience cheering]

And that means the total jackpot

$28,250!

Hallelujah! [laughs]

But who's going through to the next round?
Well...

two of you scored 84%...

[audience] Ooh!

The person who won it
by a fraction...

was...

Holly.

[audience cheering]

Congratulations, Holly.

Holly, are you feeling jolly?

Yes.

You're safe from elimination,

but one singer
is about to leave the stage.

[audience] Ooh!

Who should go?

-Singers... decide. [sobs]

Remember, the singers have no idea
how anyone scored.

We've had a different winner

so who do you want to leave the stage?

This time I chose Chanée,

but it was strategic, like,
you're my biggest competition.

Back-handed compliment.

-[audience laughs]
-Just teasing. Chanée?

I picked Zak, again.

Oh.

Just a little pitchy at certain parts

and we want to gather
all the money we can.

-So I wanna...
-You want that karaoke...

I'm just saying.

-Like...
-I get it, I get it. [laughs]

-Zak, what about you, brother?
-I chose Chanée.

Uh, I heard a part in the bridge
where she was pitchy.

-Rebecca, who did you choose?
-I also chose Chanée.

-So sorry.
-[audience] Aww!

-Chanée, I'm so sorry.
-It's all right.

You received the most votes
and must leave the stage.

-Did you have a good time?
-I had a great time.

You get your "Tituss Prize,"
so all is not lost.

-Will you stay and sing on with us?

We're down to our final three

and it contains three special notes,

one for each singer.

Anyone who holds their "Golden Note"

-[audience] Ooh!

The least accurate singer
will automatically be eliminated

after our next song.
There is no more voting.

[audience] Ooh!

Zak, are you confident
about hitting all those notes?

More confident than I've ever been
about winning $1,000
