[Tituss] Welcome to Sing On!

Five blockbuster songs from the movies,

six contestants

and a jackpot of up to $60,000!

[audience cheering]

Show me the money.

Grace, welcome to the show.

You'e our youngest contestant.

-How old are you, Grace?
-I'm 19 years old.

Nineteen?

[audience cheering]

-Who inspired you to sing?
-My daddy.

My daddy recorded an album
about his days as a bull rider.

-Just always had music in the house.
-I love that!

I bet you're a sensation
for your family, baby.

Aw.

Hello, Josh.

Hi, Tituss.

We hear you're good with your hands?

In high school my side hustle

was making balloon animals
at restaurants for extra cash.

[Tituss] Ah, okay.

-Will you make me one after the show?
-Absolutely. Love to.

Hello, Khaj.

Hello. [chuckles]

-Have you been warming up backstage, Khaj?
-All day.

[laughs]

-Demonstrate it for us.
-Whuh! Whuh!

Wah! Wah!

[burbles loudly]

-Whoo-hee-hee!
-[audience cheers]

Let me try.

Ruh! Rurr! [burbles]

[Khaj] Good!

-Is that good?
-[Khaj] I like that.

Not as good as yours.

Well, friends, get those vocals ready.

The opening number
on our "Movie Night" playlist

is worth up to $10,000!

[audience cheers]

Yes.

There's only one judge on this show,
and that's the...

♪ Sing On! vocal analyzer ♪

-[audience cheers]
-Woo-hoo!

The vocal analyzer compares
the singer's performance

to that of the original artist's.

The more they sing in tune,

and one of them is guaranteed
to win it all!

Woo!

Oh, yeah!

[Tituss] Only the most accurate singer

while someone else
gets voted out of the game.

[audience] Aww!

Not all movies have a happy ending.
Calm down.

[audience laughs, cheers]

And the lyrics are randomly assigned

so they have no idea
when it's their turn to sing.

-What a twist!
-[audience] Oooh!

[audience laughs]

-Ready for some music?
-[audience] Yeah!

[Tituss] All right.

Our first song featured on the soundtrack

to The Greatest Showman.

The difficulty is Keala Settle

so it's all about matching that timing.

So, lights, camera, action...

[Tituss] Whoa!

Oh, my God.

You guys knocked that out of the park!

The vocal analyzer has checked every note

and out of a possible $10,000,
you all banked...

$5,650!

[audience cheering]

That was a big test,

but you made a great start

and that money is now safe in the jackpot.

But the singers have no idea
how anyone scored.

So, which singer has the highest score
and is going on to the next round?

Well...

with 68 percent,

the most accurate singer is...

Josh!

[audience cheering]

Are you surprised, brother?

A little bit.

[both laughing]

Josh will sing on,

but that means everyone else
faces elimination.

But here's the kicker,

who goes is up to the singers to decide.

Singers,

decide.

And here's their scores, just for you.

Will they choose who they think
is banking the least cash,

or try to eliminate a rival?

You need to vote wisely.

Josh, since you're safe from elimination,

who do you want to leave?

A singer who's missing some notes,
or a singer who's a threat?

Tituss, I had to vote... for Grace.

[audience] Aww!

There was one note up there
that just didn't quite get there

and I think it cost us some money.

That's fair enough, brother.

She didn't get us the money.

It's about getting that money, right?

-Of course, I'd love to.
-[Tituss] Yes.

Seth, welcome to the show, brother.

-Oh, my God.
-[applause]

Alyssa, welcome to Sing On!

Tell us about your brush with fame
when you were a kid.

Wow. So I was around 12 years old
and I worked at a high-end restaurant

-and Patti LaBelle was on the 2nd floor.
-Nah.

And I said, "I'm a big fan,

I would like to sing for you."

She said, "Go ahead, child."

-[laughs]

...and it goes to the contestant

who produced an Oscar-winning performance
during that song.

-[Ashleigh] Thanks!
-How's it feel?

Can you buy a kangaroo for $500?

-I don't care about a kangaroo.

And congratulations to all of you.

Remember, the singers have no idea
how anyone scored.

Seth,

who do you want to leave the stage?

so you're competition's
coming up on me, so...

I think I've got to choose you.

Josh what about you?

I voted for Alyssa.

Ashleigh, who did you choose?

Now I feel like I should have
voted for Alyssa...

-[Tituss gasps]
-because I feel like...

I could have taken her on, too.

Who did you actually vote for?

Josh, I'm sorry.

[Tituss] Ashleigh,
you received the most votes

and must now leave the stage,

but you sounded wonderful.

[audience cheering]

Don't forget, Ashleigh, you've still got
your $500 "Tituss Prize."

-Will you stay with us and sing on?
-Absolutely.

Give it up for Ashleigh!

We're down to our final three singers

and that means it's "Golden Note" time.

-[audience cheering]
-Whoo! Yes.

Our next song is "Skyfall" by Adele.

It contains three special notes,

one for each singer.

Anyone who holds their "Golden Note"
instantly wins $1,000,

and they take that money home,
no matter what.

But, my friends,
be prepared to be shaken...

There is no more voting

after this James Bond theme song.

The least accurate singer
will automatically be eliminated.

[audience] Oh!

[Tituss] I'm afraid so.

Good luck, everyone.

And remember to hold for the gold.

This song is a license to thrill

because it could add $20,000
to the jackpot.
