So we just got to Ohio,
and we're on our way



to McConnelsville to investigate
the Twin City Opera House.

What's really cool is, this is
actually a paranormal first

because it's never been
investigated for TV before.

Yep, and Eric Glosser,
who is a retired police officer,

has been spending
the last few years

documenting all the crazy
paranormal activity

that's been going on there,

and he's convinced there's
a good number of portals

within the opera house.

Yeah, so apparently, he's pretty
scared of this place,

so we're going to go check it
out, see what we can find.

McConnelsville -- I mean,
it was a booming town

for a very long time,

and it's certainly, like,
dwindled since then.



The population has
decreased massively.

Interestingly enough,
within the area,

there was a pretty big massacre
of Native Americans.

It's called
the Big Bottom Massacre.

They essentially attacked
white settlers

coming into town, you know,

because obviously they were
taking over their lands.

Yeah.

So what do you know about
the Twin City Opera House?

They hear music playing.

They hear voices.
- Mm-hmm.

They see full-body apparitions.

A lot of people feel
very nauseous in the basement...

- Mm.
- ...and it seems like

there's something dark
and negative down there.

Eric has used his
law enforcement background

to investigate these ghosts

and has profiled 14 spirits.

Really?

And then he was violently
attacked by something,

and he had witnesses
to the incident.

He's legitimately scared.

that speaks volumes

for what he's experienced.

There's also things
that he can't identify

because he doesn't believe them
to be human in nature.

How did you get into
investigating the paranormal?

The main spirit here,
and we'll talk about him

his name is
"Red Wine" Robert Lowery.

It's almost like he's a friend.

He told us that there was
14 spirits,

but there is
something evil here,

and the evil,
we call it Charlie.

We really don't know if Charlie
ever lived as a human being,

and that is the big thing
that I would hope

you guys could help us out
with finding out

what in the hell it is.

Every picture and photograph
we ever got of Charlie was,

like, a black mass.

And when he's present,

he can be present
anywhere in the building.

He has been, but primarily
he's in the basement

why it's the black hole.

It's a creepy place.

I think there's a lot
of questions to how

all this is affecting Eric.

I mean, they actually
moved closer to the town

so he could be here more.

He's been told there's
14 different spirits here,

but if there really is
something negative and demonic,

then I'm a little concerned

that he's having these behavior
changes due to this place

because it could be something
trying to work on him.

There was a large group of
people, probably a dozen people,

and from different things

that we gathered
from Red Wine Robert upstairs,

claims that this is a portal
that Charlie travels through.

And I just got done saying that.

I don't hear anything.

I don't smell anything.

All of a sudden, something...
Boom!

Just like this on my arms,
right on my biceps.

Boom!

Jarred, and it peels me
back slowly.

And this is hard to explain.
I still can't explain it today.

But it was like a suspended
animation where it just kept

slowly pulling me down,
and they said --

The people that were there
said my legs were stiff.

I'm going backwards.

And you're slowly
tilting backward?

Slowly going...
You know, it's impossible

for a human to do that.

And when I'm about a foot
from the ground...

And I get up, like...

I can't explain it.

I'm 300 pounds.

Something moved me like
a rag doll

and just hold me
and had that power.

I don't think a human spirit
can do that!

that witnessed it.

I believe it's a portal.

out of there

and tossed my big ass

I'd say that the black hole
is definitely

where I've had probably
my, like, most intense

and terrifying experiences here.

And as you enter the black hole,
there's this door,

and this door, when you open it,

makes a very distinct sound.

It makes, like,
a squeaking sound

because there's
a counterweight system

that is involved
in keeping it shut.

I get halfway across
the basement, it squeaks again.

Then I get up
to the counterweight,

and it's swinging back
and forth, and nobody is there.

We heard that exact thing
yesterday.

Yeah, whatever is
in that basement,

you know, Charlie,
the amount of power

and the physical control
that he has,

it makes me uneasy.

Every picture and photograph

we ever got of Charlie,
the black mass,

was like a blob until...

and this thing was enveloped

over the back of a woman
that was on the...

- That is insane.

And that is
the creepiest picture.

And that was the first
time we ever caught something

showing him in a humanoid form.

That he's in some type
of human form.

we spoke to have all seemed

to be on the same page,
that the dark entity that's here

is very, very powerful
and dangerous.

It got me feeling
a little uneasy

about going down
to the basement tonight.

for our night investigation.

to answer for these guys.

Spirits have been known

with that dark entity,

on the spirits

any type of, you know,

paranormal activity.

There was a lot of things
that we experienced

that I think can corroborate
your experiences,

but I think that things
really started to pick up

once we went to the catwalk.

I just got -- I started getting
really, really tired.

It felt like someone had
slipped me a sleeping pill.

I could not keep my eyes open.

Yeah, Charlie really does
have a powerful drain.

That's what usually happens
if he's present.

Now, this is where
I think things

get even more interesting.

We had a Polaroid with us.

We took a bunch of pictures.
We started noticing something.

Look above Elaine's head.

- Right there?
- Yep.

The strange thing about that?

In the basement
several years ago,

picture,
just no people around it,

and this weird, strange,
bluish light,

but it was huge.

This is me in the basement.

Wow.

Who do you think
the blue light is?

'Cause we've had another one

where that blue light was
on my back in the catwalk.

A lot of the things we were
experiencing last night

seemed to correlate
with Charlie.

Yes. He's deceiving.
He lies.

Mm-hmm. And then we were
playing with this idea,

"Okay, well what if
it is a demon?"

And once we broke out

the holy water
and blessed objects we had,

that's when it was like
our ITC device went crazy.

Wow.

And a lot of intelligent stuff
started coming through.

One of the things we asked,
"Is Charlie a demon?"

and very clearly a voice comes
through saying, "He may be."

Now, I think the reason why you
may have got 14 when you said,

"How many ghosts here?"
"14."

- Right.
- You know, if there is a portal,

and I actually believe
there is a portal here...

I do, too.

Spirits are gonna come and go.

- Right.
- They're going to pass through.

They're going to hang out.
They're going to move on.

They're going to get what they
need to get,

do what they need to do.
Right.

Now, this kind of goes
a little personal,

I guess, but when we asked,
"who invited you in here?"

because demons need
an invitation of some sort.

- Right.
- Right?

Your name kept coming up
multiple times, Eric.

Who invited Charlie in here,
the demonic force?

Who did it?

"Eric."

So I need to ask, what was
going on in your life

during that time period when
Charlie first started appearing?

Well, in a 4-year span,
my brother died,

my dad died, my stepdad died,

my mom died, my bulldog died...

- Oof.
- ...and I divorced.

- Jeez.
- In a 4-year period.

That's a rough 4 years.

Yeah, that was a rough
4 years, horrible.

Yeah.

I think the interesting
connection with that is,

it seems to target people

that are going through
personal turmoil.

That's very possible.

When you started coming here,

and you started having
this negative stuff

happen with Charlie,

you were in a very vulnerable
position in your life.

Right.

And for whatever reason,
it started targeting you.

Right.

And I wonder maybe
this thing was always here,

but for whatever reason,

you coming in here
brought it out.

Right, and that's true.

And, you know,
I've got a strong faith,

and I've used that at times,
you know, to protect me.

- Yeah.
- Mm-hmm.

So many times,
people come to these places

just looking for a thrill,
and what they don't realize

is that you can be
disturbing something

that's way more sinister than
you could have ever anticipated.

I think we did uncover
a lot of evidence

that does corroborate
Eric's experiences

that he's had here
at the opera house.

So when the lights
go out and the curtains

have finally closed,

you really have no idea

who might be standing there
with you.
