Paranormal 911 (2019–…): Season 1, Episode 11 - Coffin Corridor - full transcript

A first responder questions his sanity after he sees the ghost of a young accident victim in his home; A police officer encounters a dark entity that may be the cause of multiple fatalities on a notoriously dangerous stretch of highway.

I was terrified.

I know it may sound crazy
to some,

But I've got a job I got to do.

I had a mystery on my hands.

I wanted to find out the cause
for the alarm...

And leave.

It just felt like somebody
was with me.

Ah!

I had no idea
what I was looking at.

Whatever this was,
was not of this world.

Being firemen,
we're accustomed to death,

But this passed that
threshold and then some.

We started playing
at the ouija board,

Messing with something
beyond myself,

Something that I can't control.

I couldn't put it into words
how afraid I was.

And she said,
"we're all going to die."

I had no idea that it could
even go

From firehouse
to my house.

Don't **** with ouija boards,
and don't **** with the dead.

Oh, my god!

911--
please state your emergency.

I think it's a ghost!

Copy that, dispatch, on my way.

Security specialist john griffin
responds to an alarm

That's been set off
in a decommissioned office

Building at a trauma hospital
in upstate new york.

I chose the security field
because I really wanted

To find a place
that I could help people.

And because this hospital has
been abandoned for some time,

It's become a haven for addicts

And potentially
violent criminals,

Putting the officer at risk.

- Dispatch, unit four.
- Go ahead.

No sign of forced entry.

I'm going to check inside.
- Copy that. Keep us updated.

The very nature of the alarm
suggests that someone is inside.

The alarm we received
was a motion alarm.

It is the motion of anything
that is passing through

Or near the alarm
that sets it off.

Griffin's next task is to reset
the alarm,

Turning it off audibly,
keeping it signaling to dispatch

So they can continue
to track his

Or anyone else's movements
in the building.

With the alarm silenced,

The halls are as quiet
as a tomb.

Sound, you could hear echoes.

The hallways were very large.

It was a pretty broken-down
building.

As per protocol, officer griffin
begins a systematic sweep

Of the four-story building
starting with the ground floor,

Making it impossible for whoever
is inside to get past him

And out of the building,

But sprawled over 2 acres
and with more than 75 rooms,

This building is an enormous
trojan horse

For anyone with evil intent.

I'm not armed, so if I do
sneak up on somebody,

Then if they are armed,
it becomes a fight for my life.

Griffin finally reaches the room

Where the motion detector
was triggered.

In the past, I have dealt
with an armed individual,

So you make sure that you're
going to do everything possible,

Every protocol to make sure
that you're safe.

Griffin employs
a training tactic

In an attempt
to reveal the intruder.

I rolled the flashlight
on the ground

To try to see if I would see
any shadows cast

That would look more
like a person.

I wasn't hearing or seeing
anybody --

No breathing, no walking,
no shuffling, no nothing.

Appeared to be
pretty much empty.

There was just a desk.

It just looked like it
was abandoned.

I'm like, "could this be
a faulty alarm?"

I mean, what's causing
this alarm at all?

So I'm thinking to myself,
"okay, well,

It could be
some maintenance workers.

Maybe they were the ones
that were in the building."

Dispatch, has maintenance
been in the building,

Or they already left?

Dispatch, it says here that
they left about 2 hours ago.

Copy that,
dispatch.

At this point, I had a mystery
on my hands.

The security officer proceeds
to check the rest of the floor.

Then I started hearing a noise
coming from down the hall.

It sounded like the creaking
of a metal door.

The slam completely startled me.

That's a huge metal door.

With the way that the door
slammed, how big are they?

That became a concern
because at this point,

I'm by myself with somebody that
potentially may be very strong.

Bracing himself

For a potentially violent
confrontation,

Griffin checks the rest
of the floor

On which the alarm
was triggered.

Every room he passes
is a possible hideout

For a very strong

And very desperate person
just waiting to strike.

But again, he sees nothing.

Griffin proceeds up to
the next floor of the building

Moving ever further away
from the exit doors

If he ever needs to escape.

I advised dispatch where I was
going to be starting my sweep,

And then advised them that
if they see any unusual alarms

Of areas
that I am not in to let me know.

Officer griffin,
this is dispatch.

Please keep us advised
of your progress.

I went through the second floor.

There was nothing.

I went through the third
floor...

Nothing.

The only floor left is
the top floor, the fourth floor.

As I'm walking down the hallway,

I notice that there's a light
coming from one of the rooms.

This did not make sense because
when I pulled up

To the building,
the area where this room was,

Those lights were off
when I arrived.

At this point, seeing that
the light was on

For that specific room,
the intruder had to be in there,

So I'm thinking,
"I have this person cornered."

Hey, hold on!

Hang on!

Ah!
Ah!

I had no idea what I was
looking at here.

Responding to an alarm set off

In an abandoned hospital
building,

Security expert john griffin

Is on the hunt
for a mysterious intruder.

I had a mystery on my hands.

On the top floor,
he's confronted

By something unexplainable.

A light coming from one
of the rooms.

Hey, hold on!

- Ah!
- Hang on!

From what I observed up there,
it looked like a nun.

Ah!

I found this bizarre,
but given the fact

That this used to be
a dormitory for nuns,

It reminded me that the rumor
was a nun allegedly

Hung herself
at the top floor.

But the door is locked.

Griffin gives chase.

He's forced to double back
to the main stairwell

To cut off
the intruder's escape.

I looked down.

And then it was nothing.

She was just not there.

This balcony was supposedly
the site

Where this nun
jumped to her death.

This is an area which would be
saturated with this

Heavy energy, this guilt,
this sorrow, this regret,

So it makes sense that
she would draw him there

Because she wanted him to know
the manner in which he died.

Officer griffin,
this is dispatch.

Can you update your status,
please?

All right.

Officer griffin, are you there?

At this point, I just didn't
know what to think anymore.

Griffin recovers
from the initial shock

Of what he's seen
and reverts to his training --

Stop this intruder's escape
no matter what it is.

All the scenarios that I could
possibly play out

That would make
complete logical sense

Were being defied
at this point.

- Why are you here?
- I heard this voice in the hall.

I turn, and I look,
and I saw her again.

As clear as day, I heard
this voice as clear as day.

In that moment, I knew whatever
this was, was not of this world.

I had just seen a ghost.

Suicide leaves behind a very
heavy, dark psychic residue.

A spirit needs their story
to be acknowledged,

And especially
if it was something tragic.

They need someone to know
the manner in which they died.

They need to feel
a sort of justice.

They need to have witnesses.

John, you all right?

Sergeant had arrived
at the building.

Find anything
in there?

I didn't know whether to tell
him what I had come across.

I didn't want to come across
as being crazy at this point.

It was all clear.

But as per protocol,

His sergeant sends him back
for one last task --

All potential trigger points
must be inspected and reset

Before clearing the location.

He handed me the paperwork
and said,

"we need to test these alarms,

So you need to head
to these rooms

And look for these five alarms
and test them with dispatch.

The sooner you finish,
the sooner you're out of here.

I was heading back
into the building by myself,

I mean, knowing that there's
no intruder in there,

But something else.

In all, there are five
alarm stations to reset.

The sheet indicated that
the alarms

That we needed to test
were on the second floor...

...So walked up
to the second floor,

But keeping in the back
of my mind

What I had just experienced.

Am I going to come
across this again?

I mean, where is this...
Is this figure going to appear?

What's going to happen next?

There's no sounds, and I tried
to stay as quiet as I could

So I could listen to any --
if anybody was moving around.

Making his way to
the first alarm station,

Griffin moves cautiously through
near-pitch-black passageways.

So far, no signs of life...

Or death.

He finally reaches alarm station
number 1...

...And quickly proceeds
to test it.

One down, four to go.

This is dispatch,
test of alarms.

All indications are operational.

I am frozen with fear
at this point.

I did not know what to do.

I was terrified.

Security officer john griffin

Answers a routine alarm call

That turns out
to be anything but.

- Hey, hold on!
- Thrust into hell.

Inside, he corners
a mysterious nun

Seemingly not of this world.

Find anything
in there?

Narrowly escaping,
he's sent back inside

To reset the alarms...

...Sending him back into a
life-and-death struggle.

Her voice was very stern.

She quickly vanishes leaving
griffin shaken and confused.

This time, she sounded angry

That I was at that location
at the time.

It put me in a very
unique state of mind.

My heart almost sunk.

Suicides leave behind
very powerful emotions,

A very heavy,
dark psychic residue.

John's life may be
very well in danger.

I did not know what to do
at this point

Because I can't just go
outside and tell my boss,

"I'm not testing these alarms.

There's a ghost
in the building."

He needs to finish the job
he started, and fast.

I know it may sound crazy
to some,

But I've got a job
I got to do.

Alarm 3 is located
in sector 7 hallway.

He moves deeper
into the building

Towards the next
alarm station.

He now has only two alarms
left to test.

It definitely scared the hell
out of me.

He races to the next alarm
fearing for his life.

This is dispatch.

We show one alarm
left to test.

I need to try to get the job
done as quickly as I could

So I
could get out of there.

As I was getting closer
and closer to the last room...

Why are you here?
You don't belong here.

This time,
she's in the doorway.

This is dispatch.

Officer griffin,
can you give us an update...

I was terrified, but I did
still continue.

As part of my job,
I have no choice.

So you're determined to keep
doing your job

Even though that there's a ghost
standing out in the hallway?

Is that what you're saying?
- I'm -- yeah.

I'm still determined to complete
the task that I was given.

Moving towards the final alarm,

Griffin can no longer
see the nun.

My heart began to pound.

I could just -- I could hear
my heart in my head.

Is she going to be there
in this room?

why are you here?

With the final alarm tested...

You don't belong here.

He runs as fast as his legs
can carry him.

I began shaking more and more as
I was getting closer and closer.

Griffin's senses are now
on full alert.

One last door, and he's out,

But he's hit
with a fresh dose of hell.

Suddenly, she was just there.

And I was just terrified.

My exit is right there.

Griffin finally decides
to stand his ground.

He advances toward
the apparition.

And it works.

The spirit flees,
leaving griffin free to escape.

At that point, I exited.

I was pretty much hightailing
it out of the building.

I'm not really sure
what she wanted from me,

But it was clear she wanted me
out of that building.

I believe the spirit
was leading him

Through the whole time.

When you have a very honorable
person such as a nun

Do something
such as a suicide,

Something where there's
so much shame attached to it,

We bear so many crosses
in this lifetime,

And we often need a witness,
someone to see the grief,

The tragedy
that we've been through.

I shall pay you
my vows.

Sometimes, spirit has to resort

To some very extreme measures
to get our attention.

This is actually very dangerous.

I think maybe john was lucky.

The only thing I knew for sure
is that I never really wanted

To go in that building again.

But given that the building
is on his nightly patrol route,

He has little choice.

To cope, he develops a strategy,

Reaching an uneasy truce
with the spirit world.

Whenever I would enter
the building after that,

I would call out to the nun
and let her know

That I'm entering the building,

And what I'm entering
the building for out of respect.

You have to always be open
to the possibility

That you never know
what's going to happen next.

Hello?
Is anybody there?

Ah!

Are you there?

- Whoa, did that just happen?
- I told you, this works.

Unit 466, we've got a 1096,

4521 faulkner road.

Rookie firefighter jacob parsons
and his crew respond

To the unusual 911 call.

The 911 call came in as a 1096.

1096 is altered
mental status,

Which really means
abnormal behavior.

First on the scene,
the firefighters

Move inside the house
to assess the situation

Until the police
and paramedics arrive.

I was instantly met
with a young woman, spanish,

In her 20s,
and she was hysterical.

She was really, really frantic
about her grandma.

I could see a small woman
underneath the blanket,

And I could hear speaking

In what I could
only assume were incantations.

Trained to deliver
emergency medical care,

Jacob proceeds
to examine the woman.

Ma'am, can you get up?

In altered mental status,

You have to rule out
a couple things.

Talking with the granddaughter,
she had no history of dementia,

No history of alzheimer's.

Jacob and his colleague
can find no medical explanation

For the woman's
strange behavior.

She was completely fine
5 minutes before they called.

All her vitals were great.

But instead of cooperating,
she escalates,

Speaking in an unknown language.

And she said that her grandma

Started speaking in tongues,
claiming she saw a ghost.

It was a woman in a white dress.

At that, she instantly sat up
slowly, without using her hands,

And let the sheet
just kind of fall down.

Luckily at this point, another
rescue crew arrived behind us.

That was the ambulance.

While paramedics prepare to
transport the woman to hospital,

The two firefighters clear
the rest of the house...

...And discover what looks like
wet footprints...

...But it leads nowhere.

Dismissing it as a simple
plumbing issue,

The firefighters head
back to their truck.

With a patient en route
to hospital,

Jacob and his crew can't seem
to shake from their minds

The woman's sudden
and unexplainable behavior.

We were all beside ourselves.

We drove the whole way back to
the station in complete silence.

Even more terrifying to jacob
is the possibility

That he may have actually played
a part in her bizarre condition.

He fears he may have triggered
the event

By his actions earlier
in the evening

And has unleashed
something evil.

To pass the time,
jacob had crafted a ouija board,

A seemingly innocent game linked
to a strange coincidence...

I realized that the exact time
the call came in

Was the exact time we sat down

And started playing
with the ouija board.

I asked where we're going to go
on our next call.

Okay.
If you're for real,

Tell us where our next call
is going to come from.

The ouija board spelled out
f- a-u-l.

- Let's go.
- Let's roll.

Come on.

A few seconds later,
a 911 call came in,

And it was for faulkner road.

This completely floored us.

I mean, we were in disbelief.

In case it wasn't just
a coincidence,

Jacob decides to make it so they
can never play the game again,

At least not
with his makeshift board.

I believe that what this woman
experienced

Was due to us messing
with a ouija board.

None of us went to bed easy
that night.

None of us slept good
that night.

An alarming sound rips
through the station.

I woke up about
midnight.

Everybody was in bed
because I heard

The pass alarms
going off in the bay.

The alarm is an emergency signal

Attached to a firefighter's
air tank.

Your turn
to check it out, rook.

It's typically triggered
when a firefighter has stopped

Breathing for more
than 30 seconds.

It's always a bad omen.

You're always taught from the
second you start fire school --

If you hear that alarm,
you need to turn it off

Because that means
somebody is not moving.

But jacob has no idea
why it's going off now.

There's been no fire call
all night,

And the tanks that trigger the
alarms are safely on the truck.

There's two trucks
and six pass alarms.

Now, they were all going off
at the same time

Which is
astronomically improbable.

Stranger still is a trail of wet
footprints similar

To the ones he saw back
at the strange woman's house.

Looked up, saw this woman
soaking wet in a white dress.

And she said,
"we're all going to die."

Minutes after playing

With a makeshift ouija board

To kill time
at the fire station...

- Are you there?
- Whoa.

Did that just happen?
- I told you, this works.

Firefighter jacob parsons
and another crew member respond

To a mysterious 911 call...

...Where a woman appears
to speak in tongues...

...Only made more strange later
that night

By the sudden appearance
of wet footprints

Leading to
a terrifying figure.

And she said,
"we're all going to die."

But the woman soon disappears...

...Triggering yet another
baffling mystery.

I noticed that
the electrical lines

Were pulled from the trucks.

These are auto injector lines.

They only pull out if the truck
has been turned on.

We are even told when we start
in the fire department

To never pull them
out by hand.

Therefore, it had to be
concluded

That somebody pulled them
out on purpose.

The burning question for jacob
is,

"who would want to harm he
and his crew, and why?"

What the hell
is going on here?

Jacob can't shake the feeling
his unit

Has become the target
of someone or something.

If the trucks aren't plugged
into an electrical outlet

When they're not in use,
they will drain the battery,

And you will not be able
to turn them on and respond

In the time
that's needed to save a life.

I couldn't put it into words
how afraid I was.

Jacob wonders how
the mysterious woman

That appeared to him
briefly ties into the sabotage.

Stumped for answers,
he decides to turn back

To what he feels triggered
all these strange events --

His homemade ouija board.

Maybe it can shed a light
on the mystery.

And as soon as we touched the
planchette, it started moving.

I asked it if it was a male
or a female.

Are you male or female?

Okay.
- It said female.

I asked how old she was.

43.

I asked, "you want to speak
to me, don't you?"

As soon as it said, "yes,"

I had a vision in my mind
of a woman

Soaking wet in a white dress
pointing at me.

Using a ouija board is kind of
like putting up a sign

Outside your own front door
saying, "come on in."

You don't know if you're
going to get somebody nice

Or if you're going
to get somebody terrible.

Terrified by the visions
unleashed by his ouija board,

Jacob wants no further part
in this evil game.

At this point, I said,
"I'm done,"

Quit and walked away.

It's just too real.

The next morning,
things go from bad

To worse with a piece of news
that shakes jacob to his core.

I woke up to a text
from my ex-wife.

Yeah, it's me.
What's going on?

She said our oldest son,
who was about 4, said,

"there's a woman in the room."

I instantly knew what
he was talking about.

Okay, hold on.
I'm coming.

Just hold on, and I'll be
there in a bit, okay?

Jacob races home,
deeply worried for his family.

- As soon as I got home...
- Hey, buddy.

Hey.
What are you doing there?

I said, "hey, son."
it's okay.

He said, "oh, there was
somebody in the room."

I tried to put my best
poker face on.

He says there was a woman
in the room

And said she was really mad.

At this point, I am messing
with something beyond myself,

Something that
I can't control.

When firefighter jacob parsons
innocently fools around

With a homemade ouija board,

He unleashes
a horrifying presence --

A mysterious woman in white who
terrorizes one of his patients

And then sabotages
the station's equipment.

If the trucks aren't plugged in,

You will not be able
to turn them on.

What the hell
is going on here?

Her next target,
his most precious possession...

Yeah, it's me.

...His son.

Our oldest son,
who was about 4, said,

"there's a woman in the room."

I instantly knew what
he was talking about.

I had no idea that it could
even go

From one firehouse
to my house.

So it scared me straight.

In this case, it seems that jake
picked up

A spiritual attachment,

An entity that was
clinging onto him

And was going to follow
him wherever he went.

Often, spirit entities
will latch onto the person

That they feel most attracted to
or that brings them through,

And in this case, jake is
the guy that opened the door

To allow this entity
to come through into our world.

The firefighter, terrified by
the dark forces

His innocent actions
have summoned,

Puts an end
to this twisted game.

I refuse to put my son
in any further danger.

It's rather disturbing
that jake's young son

Also saw the entity
in his own home.

Firstly, our home is where we're
supposed to be at our safest.

Our families are the things
that we value the most.

When firefighters see the most
horrific things on the job,

They leave that ideally at the
firehouse and then come home,

So for jake to
take this entity home,

A consequence of something
that he did on the job,

And then have it
threatening his family,

That's got to be
incredibly disturbing for him.

I instantly called my coworkers.

They were just as scared
as I was.

We all have small kids.

It could've happened to them
as easily as it happened to me.

A ouija board isn't
a children's toy.

Some people claim that
it has done

Nothing less
than wreck their lives,

Causing them physical harm,
financial harm,

Breaking up families.

Jacob wonders
if the woman in white

Is somehow connected
to the firehouse itself.

This department in central
florida is a small department.

I believe it was started
around 1826.

It was really old,
a lot of history there.

A lot of different calls
have been run out of there

And a very, very busy firehouse
with a old demographic.

Okay, how did you die?

I asked how she died.

Ouija board said she drowned.

Being firemen,
we're accustomed to death.

We're used to being
around the dead.

We're used to traumatic things,

But this passed that threshold
and then some.

There are those in
paranormal circles

Who believe
in an entity called zozo,

Which seems to come
through spirit boards

All across the world,

And if these stories
are to be believed,

This is a very dark,
very negative entity

That has a negative impact
on the lives of those involved.

Determined to close the hellish
gate he inadvertently opened,

He's compelled to destroy
this board for good.

My lieutenant is actually
an ordained minister,

And he said that we need
to rip the ouija board

Up into seven pieces
because that's the holy number.

We ripped it up
into seven pieces...

...And blessed it
with holy water...

...And never talk
about it again.

From that day on,
I won't touch a ouija board.

If anybody is messing with one,
I'll leave.

I would say in my pride,
I believed

That I could handle it,
but being a new father,

I was completely ignorant
to the fact

That it could affect my son.

- Can we go to the park?
- Okay.

Don't worry.

She won't come after
you again, okay?

I promise.

Don't worry.

Does it still haunt you?

To this day, it still does.

Best advice I have for anybody
out there

Who's interested in this,

Don't **** with ouija boards,
and don't **** with the dead.

Zozo, zozo...
