Max and Sabrina are watching an outdoor movie when a man walks in and appears to be incoherent. He then starts attacking people, a cop tries to control him but the man goes wild and the cop shoots him. Steve and Danny arrive and Max thinks the guy is a zombie. But at the morgue, Max collapses, they learn the man was drugged and the drugged turned into a gas that infected Max. They learn that the man worked at hospital and went there before he was found and took out something from the morgue. They learn he took the head off a corpse. They learn the head was that of a girl who went missing a year ago who resurfaced with no memory of what happened to her. They learn of a guy who was trying to contact her who has been laying low was also abducted two years ago. They see that someone did experiments on him and the girl. They try to find the person who did this. Catherine is still reeling from Billy's death decides to help find Adam.
