The knowledge that he's gained

for the trichomes

To go from clear...

The trichomes are
the little, little hairs.

And you look really
closely at them

And they're either clear
or they get a little milky.

And once they start
getting milky,

Then there's an amber color,

And you want to harvest
right then.

It's good!

And this is their coming out,

And it's exciting as hell.

So, right now,
what we're doing is

We're cutting them
about an arm's length.

I want you to cut these down.
It's way too long.

Okay. Because when it hangs,

It's gonna bunch up

And it's gonna maintain
too much moisture.

We don't want any moisture
in there.

We want the moisture
to come out.

We don't want any mold
setting in.

Good idea. So cut this down.

We transfer them
from the greenhouse.

Start putting lids on.

...So the sun doesn't
dry them up

And so no dust gets on them.

Everybody wears gloves.

We transfer them
from the greenhouse.

We bring them in to the barn.

We got the trellising
all up, ready to go.

We weigh them
because that's the metric.

There's a metric tag
for each plant.

And then it's hung to cure.

How you doing up there?

The girls are beautiful.

So, we have to get
everything hung.

We set the temperature
and humidity.

7 to 14 days of curing,

And we slowly bring the moisture
out of the plant.

So, about 8% to 12% moisture,

And then it goes to trimming.

We mainly hand-trim.

When you look real closely,
the kief,

Which is the resins that
fall off the plant...

Wow. Look at all the kief!

It falls when you shake it.

Then we collect the kief

And then reintroduce it
to the flower

After it's trimmed.

Then add that kief.

Look at that.

This is gonna go
to our favorite dispensary.

Chris: For me,
it's really, really exciting

Because I've seen all of this
money go out, out, out, out

All of this time.
So to me, you know,

Every bud that I see
has a dollar sign on it.

So far, so good.
The numbers are good.

We're right at the right average
that we're supposed to be,

Which is about
7 1/2 pounds a plant.

So, so far, so good.

Jim: I feel we got a very good
harvest this year.

and either you pass or you fail,

With no idea really of
how it's gonna turn out.
