Ghost Adventures (2008–…): Season 21, Episode 9 - The Joshua Tree Inn - full transcript

Zak Bagans and the crew check into the desert motel where country-rock pioneer Gram Parsons died in 1973. With help from special guest investigator, singer and social media personality Loren Gray, the team is in for an especially emotional and terrifying night as they investigate the intelligent and sometimes malicious paranormal energy that permeates the property.

We're in joshua tree,
california. We are at the joshua tree inn.

It's a very mysterious place
and a very haunted place.

So many staff members
won't even go in these rooms.

And so many guests that
try sleeping in these beds

have been pinned
down against their will.

[narrator] on this
special episode,

we will be joined by social media
sensation and singer, lauren gray.

We're literally going to hand
you a camera and some gear

and we're gonna have
you investigate right with us.

I'm up for it.

For what will be one of the most
incredible lockdown moments...

So you are now a part
of our famous ceremony

-of getting locked in. -Oh boy.

...In the history of
our investigations.

Goodbye.

There are things in this world
that we will never fully understand.

[echoing] understand.

We want answers.

We have worked years
to build our credibility,

our reputation,

working alongside the most
renowned professionals in the field,

capturing ground breaking
proof of the paranormal.

It's working.

I can't give you an explanation.

This is our evidence.

Our ghost adventures.

[man] this building has a very tragic,
creepy death attached to it.

Gram parsons,
he was a pioneer of country rock.

He took his last
breath here in room 8.

This is a very, very weird place

where the staff that work here

many of them refuse to
even go into a lot of the rooms

that they run out here.

[narrator] it's not a question
of "is there anything here?"

that's been proven time
and time again by staff.

The question is what?

The vast spectrum of energy

that runs through every
inch of the joshua tree inn

is beyond compelling.

The evidence is overwhelming
and the history is deep and ominous.

This is room 8. A lot
of the rooms here...

They say every
single room is haunted,

but this... This room...

Right here is where gram parsons died,
in room number 8.

Gram parsons was revered by
almost every musician and still is.

In his sadly short career,

he was able to inject
his deep country roots

into the rock and roll landscape
changing music forever.

The lifestyle of country
music was the opposite lifestyle

of the rock and roll
one he longed for,

the kind of life reserved by
people like the rolling stones,

the decadents, the extremes.

He eventually became good
friends with keith richards.

They shared a deep musical
bond and also a deep chemical one.

The joshua tree inn was his respite,
his sanctuary, his escape.

And although it
is the very place

where he died from
a drug overdose

on September 19, 1973,

it seems gram has
never really left.

Why is his spirit so incredibly
active inside this room?

Now I meet deedee,

she has worked
here for ten years

and helps us begin our journey into what
they say is the most active room, room 8.

There were three
women sleeping in there.

In the middle of the night,

the two women on the bed woke up

telling each other
the same exact dream

that gram had been
trying to get into the room.

- And they all had that same dream?
- Yeah.

The door's locked itself many,
many times.

That's a powerful energy.

I don't want to go in there yet.

I'm gonna have
you two go in there.

While billy and aaron
investigate room 8,

I meet with destiny to collect
intel on some of the other rooms

that seem riddled
with dark activity.

When I first started here,

I went to room 12
to clean it by myself

and as I went in there something
caught my eye by the closet

and as I went... when
I looked towards it,

the closest
nightstand got pulled

about six inches
towards the closet.

And I won't go in that
room by myself anymore.

- In room 12?
- Yes. Something's in 12.

- Something in 12 that scares you?
- Yes.

It's something in the closet.

Every time I'm in there,
I can feel something in there

like something's watching
me from the closet.

Before billy and the
guys enter room 8,

it seems as though there's an
intelligent energy interacting with them.

That was weird.

-What? -Already?

- The trifield is at zero right now.
- Yeah.

But you said we're gonna
go in and it just bounced.

Oh, it's on, it went clear to four. Gram,
is this you?

- Holy [bleep]. It went to 6...
- Just now? Look where my foot is.

It pegged, it pegged.

Right when I did that.

Gram, can you make it hit a 6?

[laughing]

-did it get there? -Yes!

Holy [bleep].

There's no explanation
for that. That's incredible.

Gram, can you do that again?

It just did it again.

Are the guys detecting
gram parson's spirit

near the very room where
he overdosed and died?

Tell me about some
of the other rooms.

I think you said room 2.

[destiny] just a few days ago,
the room had been empty for a few days

and I went in there
to freshen it up

before we had
another guest come in.

And the squeegee on the shower
was thrown halfway across the room.

Wow.

Are you gonna
communicate with us

when we come in here
with all this extra gear?

All this equipment that
allows us to see you?

Are you gonna
communicate with us?

- Listen.
- [recording] ...That allows us to see you?

Are you gonna
communicate with us?

Get back.

When the avv played,
this needle moved like crazy.

-Really? -Yeah.

[recording] are you gonna
communicate with us?

- Get back.
- [recording] are you gonna communicate with us?

Get back.

In room 8, I was opening the
room to let the air in and out.

Both doors slammed shut on me.

-In gram parson's room? -Yes.

As we are hearing about how
active gram's spirit is in room 8

and are possibly
experiencing his spirit already,

we are absolutely
shocked to discover

why his spirit may be at unrest.

We speak to his good friend
and road manager phil kaufman

who stole gram's body from
the la international airport

and then set it on fire.

I want to talk to you
about gram parsons.

Still dead.

Physical body may be,
but a lot of people are stating

that his spirit is
still here at the inn.

When they first
go in that room...

- In room 8.
- [phil] ...They said it's like a presence,

said they could feel him.

We made a pact,
he said, "if I die,

take me out to the desert and let my
spirits get up to go into the atmosphere."

so I called a friend
who had a hearse

and just as we were getting ready to leave,
a cop car pulls up.

The cop's not doing anything.

So I get out of the
hearse and yell at the cop,

"hey, man, give us a hand with this stiff,
would you?"

so, phil, you asked the police
to help you carry a stolen body?

They moved the body into the hearse,
yeah.

Sir, you are crazy.

[phil] so, we finally come
to this place called cap rock,

parked the hearse,
opened the door, slid the casket out.

I opened up the casket
and there was gram.

And I just, you know,
we wished him well

and poured the gasoline on him,
lit the match and...

And you could see his ashes
going up into the desert sky.

How did this come back to you?

[phil] it was the worst-kept
secret in los angeles.

Everybody... Everybody in music
knew. I was getting phone calls,

congratulating me, "oh,
you did the job, you know.

You've got gram's wishes,
man." you know, all that stuff.

It was just two pals
honoring a pal's wishes.

That's what it was,
as simple as that.

[narrator] even though
it was claimed by phil,

who was later
charged with grand theft

that gram's wish was to have his
ashes spread in the joshua tree desert,

gram's family wanted a
traditional burial in new orleans,

and were outraged how
their son's body was stolen

followed by a failed cremation.

Could this be cause
for gram's unrest?

And to add an odd
intimacy to this investigation,

billy and I have
decided to stay here

instead of driving over an
hour back to our original hotel.

And as I casually
make my way back

to my room to
simply grab a hoodie,

I have an unexpected
and terrifying encounter.

- Come here quick.
- What just happened?

Hurry up and get over here.

What happened?

That just scared
the [bleep] out of me.

So this is the room I'm
staying in. This is room 11.

I walk in here.

I went in here. This is
where the bedroom is.

I go in here and I grab
another hoodie to put on

and I walk over here and I
look up and I swear to god,

there was like a black... Just a
black figure standing right here,

short, short and just like almost
like the silhouette of like the hail mary.

I cannot get that
out of my mind.

Is there a reason
why I came here

instead of going
to the real hotel

that I was supposed to stay at?

Is there a reason why...

This is where we're supposed to
investigate and I'm sleeping here.

I know what I saw. It
was standing right here.

When I saw it,
it rattled me. Three claw marks?

That's where it was standing.

Oh! [bleep] I do not!
I know what I saw!

This is my room.

This is where I'm sleep... Oh!

Go figure. Number 11.

That's the number
I've tattooed on my arm.

Do you know what other rooms
11 were that I've stayed in?

Room 11 at the hotel leger where
I connected with another spirit.

I have this 11 on my arm

because of a sad female spirit in
room 11 at the silver queen hotel.

What room are we in?

11.

It's a weird parallel.

Oh, total déjà vu.

Synchronicities aren't new
here at the joshua tree inn.

Because gram parsons
died September 19th,

- but he checked in September 17th, right?
- Mm-hmm.

Okay. And September
17th was also a day

where somebody else
died on the property.

It was a photographer that was
hit by a vehicle out in the front

while he was taking
a photo of a model.

While he was taking a photo of a model,
he got hit and was killed.

Concerned that I made visual
contact with something in my room,

deedee feels
compelled to warn me

about a guest's
terrifying encounter

in the room next door.

[deedee] there was a
gentleman that was staying in here

that had sleep paralysis that it seemed
like somebody came on top of him,

stayed there for
about 45 minutes,

and he he believes that it was
making love to him and then just left.

So that's... That's really the
story that I really wanted to hear,

staying right next door where
me and bill are gonna be staying

- in this whole hotel by ourselves alone tonight.
- Yes.

That's great. I'm gonna
really love sleeping next door.

While speaking with deedee,

we capture what appears to be
someone walking by in the background.

But all of our crew
is accounted for.

I find it odd that moments after
I see a dark figure in my room...

Ah! [bleep] I do not!
I know what I saw!

We capture this - that no
one reacted to or can explain.

As we continue exploring
the joshua tree inn,

I find myself distracted
and obsessed by the figure

that I saw in my room earlier.

There was like a black
figure standing right here.

The most horrifying
part is that it's the room

that I have to sleep in tonight

and the thought of
seeing it again terrifies me.

That's what it was.

Didn't have any arms.
It didn't have any legs.

It was just a shape
like the outline of like,

those virgin mary
statues like that,

that's exactly what I saw.

Usually when I'm investigating a location,
I'll see this,

acknowledge it and
then go back to the hotel,

process it and hopefully this
thing didn't follow me home.

But this time,
I saw this thing in the very room

that I'm going to sleep tonight,

right next door to the
room where they told me

that a guy was
pinned down in bed

and something forcefully
had sex with him.

I really can't wait to go to
bed. And it was a whole mix-up.

- We weren't even supposed to be staying here tonight.
- Right.

We're supposed to be
staying at the five-star

or whatever the hell
they're staying at.

Why don't you guys switch your
hotels here? There's plenty of rooms.

Yeah, there's other rooms.

You can't just leave one
spot and go to a new spot.

- I'm already comfortable.
- Right.

Like it's already paid for.

That's true. That's
true. And yeah.

And you know what? Your hotel is
probably a little bit better than ours.

Yeah, it wasn't that great,
honestly.

Yeah, like you wouldn't like it.

We should... Hey, guys,
we should really take off.

So you go back there and eat your,
you know,

eat your your
pecan-crusted trout.

We'll be here investigating,
doing our job.

Setting up cameras.

So billy and I... Billy's
staying in the room next to me,

so we're already creeped out.

Down there's room 8,
right there gram parsons died.

Down there's room 12,

that's where the guy said that
something crawled on top of him,

started having sex with him.

We should have went to the hotel,
dude.

-I know. -It's stupid.

You know what we do?
We hunt down ghosts.

Being right in between the
most notorious rooms here

makes this stay
extremely frightening.

And already there is
unexplainable activity.

Just heard a bang.

Somebody in my room.

Dude, I cannot stop looking
out here where I saw this thing.

We gonna be able to sleep here?

I don't know.

[over radio] it's just
what I saw in here earlier.

And what I saw,
it scared... It scared me.

Well, if you saw what you
drew on that piece of paper

then I can understand why
it's not leaving your mind.

Like,
this all sounds fun and everything.

[over radio] investigating is what we do,
but this is gonna suck.

I wonder what jay and
aaron are doing right now.

They're probably having
a [bleep] filet mignon.

So I'm just trying to relax and
mellow out and have a good time and...

[over phone] I love
you. I miss you.

I love and miss you too.

Freezing.

Well, I'm going to try
plugging in my air fryer here

and see if I can
cook up something.

Peanut butter and jelly again.

[woman over phone]
hello. Catering.

Yes,
I would like to get some food.

I don't have a plate.

Watermelon salad.

I don't have a knife.

Pasta, you said?

Sausage and potatoes.

Can we get a margarita?

Not much to eat in this town.

And I'll take the salmon.

Do they have vegan ice cream?

I'm going to try
to take a shower.

[over radio] do you know
what the hell this thing is?

Wonder how the guys are doing.

[laughing]

"call for help."
what the [bleep]?

Oh! That was a good one.

My door will not shut. Like,
there's a splint in the doorframe.

[laughing]

like somebody was trying to
break out of this room or break in.

-Cheers, man. -Cheers.

[over radio] it's a
whole different ballgame

when you shut the lights off,
dude.

As billy and I are already totally
uncomfortable and on full alert,

the thought of having a restful
evening was released the moment

we agreed to stay here and the
presence of energy is undeniable.

Feeling like a wind here.

It's very cold
in this little spot.

Air started circulating here,
it was moving.

It got really cold,
which could be a manifestation.

It's very scary trying to sleep in
a room where I saw a dark figure.

I just got in bed.

And I didn't have
the cameras rolling.

Something hit my window.

It sounded like a
bird or something

like what a bird
would sound like,

- it would smack the window. It was that loud.
- [tapping]

[bleep]

- it would smack the window, it was that loud.
- [tapping]

[bleep]

it just did it again.

Felt something

touching or grabbing my foot,
left foot.

[bleep]

that's... That's twice,

but that time it
was like a tapping,

a light tapping.

Something is seriously
[bleep] with me right now.

I don't know... I don't
know if I can do this.

I'm gonna shut this off.

Ladies and gentlemen,
it has been a very weird stay for me

and I mean that literally

because billy and I, we've been
sleeping here for the last couple days.

The first night we got here,
I was fine.

But last night I had very,
very bad dreams,

hearing noise in
our rooms constantly

and even during the day today.

While I was making breakfast,
I hear his voice super loud.

And I'm like,
why is billy in my room?

So I go around the corner,
my door is open,

he's sitting outside of his room

working on a new
piece of equipment

and his door opens at the
same exact time as mine does.

And I rolled my camera,
watch this.

My door was locked.
I know that for 100%.

And then all of a sudden,
I'm in here cooking and I hear you talking.

So I come out here and
my door is wide open.

And then what happened
with you? Where were you at?

Sitting right here working
on my laptop and I just,

I looked up and
my door was open.

I'm like, okay,
and then your door was open.

So our doors just opened
at the same exact time.

So just being here,
it's been crazy.

And there is a reason why the
female staff has to partner up

when they clean these rooms.

Well, particularly one room,
room 12.

And because it
seems that females

have a very bad
reaction in room 12

with a lot of
poltergeist activity,

I thought,
let's add a member of our crew

that is a female to
see if that energy

can get a different reaction
from what we've already had.

So, ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to introduce to you,

she is a singer, she's a model,
the queen of tiktok,

I don't know,
probably a bunch of other things,

ladies and gentlemen,
lauren gray.

How's it going? I didn't
know I was the guinea pig.

[laughing]

- now she just leaves!
- Here we go!

Now she just leaves.

So, listen,
we take on some severe cases.

- And you reached out to us.
- I did.

- And you said you wanted to do this.
- Yeah.

I'm telling you serious,
this location has affected a lot of people.

It's severely active.

And we're literally going to
hand you a camera and some gear

- and we're going to have you investigate right with us.
- Cool.

And if we do ask
you to do something

that maybe you're
not comfortable doing

because I have a tendency
to do that with these guys...

- [crew laughing]
- ...You can say no,

- but that's just how my mentality is.
- Okay. Yeah, I'm up for it.

So with that said,
in classic ga style, lauren gray,

- please make your way over here.
- Yes, sir.

Because it is time
to get locked down

inside the joshua
tree inn by these gates.

So you are now a part of our
famous ceremony of getting locked in.

Oh boy.

After you, our guest of honor.

That's it. Goodbye.

As we prepare for
the investigation,

lauren and I start
discussing gram's music.

And as we play
some of it out loud,

we feel an ice cold mass
of air hit us at nerve center.

It just got really cold, like colder
than cold, down the back of my neck.

-I just got... -it made you jump.

-I know. -You were like...

Yeah, I got a really bad, bad...

It wasn't just a chill,
but I felt it.

And this has been

- on the whole time we've been in here.
- Right.

- So I haven't changed...
- It's not like that just turned on.

So then I just hit
shuffle on his music

and I was telling her
about his last album,

grievous angel, and how he
was writing all these dark lyrics.

So we started
listening to his music

and I just felt this kind
of connection maybe.

So I have not been in that room.

- I have not been in the room that he died.
- Alright.

Okay? What I want you to do is,

billy and aaron,
I want you to follow us over there,

but then I want just you
and I to go in his room

as we were just
talking about that.

As lauren and I prepare to
enter the notorious room 8

where gram parsons
overdosed and died,

I have her wear a watch
that is wirelessly connected

to motion sensors
placed in different rooms

throughout the motel.

If any motion is detected,
she will receive an alert on the watch.

We are headed over to the
room where gram parsons died.

- Music connects people together.
- It does.

I don't care who you are,
what you believe in, who you hate,

who you don't like,
when you're all in a room together

and you hear music,
it unifies everybody.

That's the power of music.

The power of music can also
connect you to the very people

that made that music as a
connection and a conduit for interaction.

As we continue on
towards the room,

we all hear a strange
whistling sound.

But soon debunk
it as lauren's nose.

- What was that? Sounded
like a... -that was my nose.

-Okay. -Oh, my god.

I have a deviated septum.

Okay, so just for the record,
lauren has a whistling nose.

- I'll point it out. Don't want to freak anyone out.
- That was a cool noise.

- I do. My nose squeaks when it's cold, I'm sorry.
- No, it's cool, it's cool.

This is really weird, lauren.

This is the room that
gram parsons died.

-Yeah. -When you open the door...

My legs feel numb.

- Your legs feel...
- My legs feel so numb

just standing
here and it just did.

You're connecting.

You're feeling
something and that's good

because I felt something
at nerve center.

So again, in our investigations,

things always seem
to happen for a reason.

So there may be a reason
why you're here on this episode

and you're with us right
now investigating this.

We'll see,
I can't predict anything.

Take your flashlight and go
straight ahead and look at that.

- Can you see my legs shaking?
- Are you?

I'm like jittering.

Can you see my legs shaking?

Are you?

I'm like jittering.

Can you just say something
to him? Just introduce yourself.

Keep an eye on that meter.

Hi, I'm lauren.

And I am really grateful to
be here and to hear your story.

I really connect with
you and what you do.

Oh sorry. I'm
like out of breath.

It's okay. What are you feeling?

Just really overwhelmed.

As lauren starts
getting overwhelmed,

I too begin to feel strong
emotions out of nowhere.

Is gram's spirit aware of us?

Is he connecting
with our energy.

Lauren and I are going to go into
the room where gram parsons died.

Gram, if your spirit is here,
if you see us, this is our friend, lauren.

Lauren's a singer as well.

We don't know if you've
made contact with us or not.

We met your friend, phil kaufman,
that set your body on fire.

Lauren, that's what gram wanted.

He wanted his ashes spread here

-at joshua tree park. -Wow.

So,
they were gonna send his body back

to his family
across the country.

- But his friend acted upon what he truly wanted.
- Wow.

So his friend went through
and gave him exactly...

- Man, I just got [bleep] sad, dude.
- Are you all right?

All of a sudden I get
so sad I begin to cry,

literal tears running
down my face.

It's as if gram wants
me to feel his pain

for leaving this world too soon

from doing something he regrets.

Is that you, gram?

Powerful, huh?

It's really overwhelming.

I legit started to [bleep] cry.

- He's coming through you.
- You guys go back to nerve.

-Okay. -Lauren, let's go inside.

Okay.

It's just really...

It's a lot to process when
you're standing in a room

where you know
that someone died,

who didn't just
die but died young.

So, I don't know if we're going
to be able to use this music or not.

- I think we should just do it.
- Let's just do it.

- It's just feels like we should.
- We can always edit it out.

[song intro plays]

gram,
I feel like I just connected with you.

I want you to keep doing that.
I want you to come through.

I'll feel your pain.

eight" or "room 8."

that was some crazy [bleep].

Yeah. We have to review that.

[voice breaks up] hey!

Whoa! That was... "hey!"

that right there was just like,
"hey!"

that was weird.

We have to review that.

[voice breaks up] hey!

Whoa! That was "hey!"

we now receive
another male voice

and although it's a bit
harder to understand,

we think he is reiterating to
us that he said room 8 earlier,

which would be amazing.

Did you say room 8?

Are you serious if
that said room 8?

I'm tearing up. I swear!

[broken speech over polterpod]

I swear.

[broken speech over polterpod]

all of a sudden lauren is
overcome with emotion.

He said something else! It's all
a male voice! Same male voice!

- Is it not in the same voice?
- I'm literally crying right now.

I'm like so in shock.
That was so insane.

-That was crazy. -Oh, my god.

He said something else! It's all
a male voice! Same male voice!

- Is it not in the same voice?
- I'm literally crying right now.

I'm like so in shock.
That was so insane.

-That was crazy. -Oh, my god.

- Are you okay?
- I'm good. But that was just...

Like, it was so clear to me that
it just was like overwhelming.

- It was weird. I was like so... -oh,
my god.

-Are you all right? -I'm good.

But that was just so clear,
like I heard it.

This is absolutely
chilling and incredible.

Just as lauren gets very
emotional and begins to cry,

this spirit who we believe
to be gram speaking

with the softer voice on the
polterpod tells her she can sense it.

Did you say room 8, gram?

[broken speech on polterpod]

something. There's a response.

Did you say room 8, gram?

[broken speech on polterpod]

[broken speech on polterpod]

I now use the trifield device

to see if we can pinpoint
any areas of the room

where the spirit of gram may be.

- I'll start playing that again.
- Yeah.

-Because I feel like... -Yeah.

[gram parsons song plays]

do you hear your music?

As I begin to play
gram's music again,

we notice small
movement from the needle.

You were a big rock star, gram.

I know you wanted to... Your friends
said you wanted to be a rock star.

Oh, whoa, whoa.

Gram, get in your bed.

Please.

Whoa, whoa.

-Whoa, lauren! -Oh, my god!

- Did you just see that?
- I saw it.

Gram,
thank you very much for doing that.

Whoa.

Gram, can you do that again?

-Oh, my god, dude. -Whoa.

Holy [bleep].

Oh, my god.

I've been watching
it the whole time.

It hasn't moved that much.

I've been... I've been watching
it since we've since we've...

Since we've been in here.

It hasn't spiked that much
until you addressed him.

Since we've been in here.

You could see we
are just sat on the bed.

We're kneeling in front of
the bed. We're not even...

- We're not touching anything.
- We're kneeling on the bed.

That device is not near
anything. It's stagnant on the bed.

And you can see
that it's just not...

There's no explanation for that.

Billy, grab that camera.

Grab the camera
and bring it in here.

-My camera? -Yeah.

Okay. On my way.

You could see walkie-talkie signals,
anything like that

- does not manipulate this device at all.
- No.

This is amazing.

Now watch what happens as
lauren says how powerful music is.

- I'm telling you, music is a powerful thing.
- It is.

Look at that. [indistinct]

oh, my god!

As we begin to play
gram's music again,

the trifield device which
is sitting untouched

and away from us on the bed

continues documenting unexplained
spikes of electromagnetic energy.

It's as if gram's energy
is triggered by his music

and our emotional
reactions to it.

Every time you play his songs,
it moves.

This song particularly is
what started it the first time.

[gram parsons song plays]

- very sad, but it's also very beautiful.
- But it's like...

- Exactly. It's like cries of joy, you know?
- Yes.

We hear you, gram.

This is incredible.

Thank you, gram.

Billy, billy.

Yeah, go ahead.

Turn that on. Turn that camera on,
billy

and bring it in here, would you?

Which camera are
you talking about?

I don't know. Did
you just bring us one?

Yes. I just brought you one.

It's in his hand.

It's in your hand.

Where is it? Can
you power it on?

It's in your hand bro.

Oh [bleep].

[laughing]

no, no. I'm not.

With everything
going on in this room,

I feel as though the
energy transfers between us

and the spirits are
making me disoriented.

Us sitting here and
listening to his music

- and seeing the emf spike, it was so beautiful.
- I know.

It felt like I was like
a part of something.

And it wasn't... It
wasn't sad anymore.

It was, it actually made me
feel like it was just beautiful.

- It was uplifting.
- It was really uplifting.

It was angelic.

It was like we saw like a ray
of light come out of like a sky.

- Yeah.
- And we just felt something beyond like, just...

- I'm not afraid sitting here right now.
- ...Material beautiful.

Yeah.

Is that device going up at all?

- Is this meter right now doing anything?
- It is still right now.

- That is what is very calm.
- That's what I was saying.

As soon as we start
to play his music

or speak about his music

- and his legacy, that thing was going crazy.
- Right, right.

And as soon as you
and I are sitting here

having a conversation
between us,

-it's completely still. -I know.

Which is so insane.

Lauren and I head back to
nerve center to share this moment

we just experienced
with the guys.

We need to like
stop for a second.

That was a moment. That
was a powerful moment.

And I'm happy that you're here.

I'm happy that
somebody else was here.

You don't know us, we don't you,
but you're here for a reason.

And that was just something
really cool for you to like witness that.

Yeah. I've never
seen anything like that.

That was just awesome.

So far in the first hour of
our investigation with lauren,

we both have cried.

The voices that were coming
through the polterpod though.

[overlapping conversations]

- loud and clear.
- It was crystal.

I want to do a review on that.

We decide to immediately
review the response we received

when I asked what
room did gram die in?

[recording] answer a couple of
questions. What room are we in?

What room number?

What room did you die in?

- Room 8.
- Room 8 is crystal clear.

And I heard it and I
didn't... I thought it said eight,

but I didn't know what
number room we were in.

- That's why I was like, "which room are we in?"
- it says "room 8."

[recording] what
room did you die in?

Room 8. So crystal clear.

It's says room 8.

That's exactly
what I heard [bleep].

Play it again.

[recording] what
room did you die in?

Room 8.

- Play it again.
- [recording] what room did you die in?

Room 8.

That's awesome.

I now send lauren,
aaron, and billy

to the darker side of the
hauntings here at joshua tree inn,

the room where
staff won't go alone

and where a man was assaulted
and groped while he slept

by what he described as an
entity that crawled on top of him.

Somebody came on top
of him and he believes

that it was making love
to him and then just left.

Trying to feel the vibe out,
you know?

What I will say is
that I was not afraid

to walk around that other room.

I didn't even want to walk
around this corner just now.

I know,
there's something about this corner.

It's something
about that corner.

And where's the
closet that they said?

As lauren heads to
investigate the closet

where a housekeeper
said the entity resides,

something mind-blowing is about to
happen around the corner in the kitchen.

[indistinct chatter]

-oh, my god, dude. -What?

That was in the
kitchen just now.

- [lauren] that noise?
- Holy [bleep].

Billy freaks out when
something very loud

is heard moving in the kitchen.

-[clattering] -oh, my god!

-[clattering] -oh, my god, dude!

[both] what?

And as they enter the
kitchen to investigate,

they discover the coffee
pot lifted up out of its slot.

What just happened in here?

Just make sure
everything's covered.

In case that things are moving,
we want to get it on camera.

[over radio] billy, what was it?

-It was something. -Oh, my god.

Do you think it was this?

-Oh, my god. -Look.

-What? -It's a coffee pot.

-Wait. -Oh, my god.

No [bleep] way.

That was it. That
was it. That was it.

That was the sound. 100%.

Do it again, aaron.

That sound's exactly
what we heard.

-Hey. Watch this, bill. -Yeah.

Yes.

-[clattering] -oh, my god, dude!

I now send lauren back
to the closet by herself.

Hey, we hear this room is the darkest,
scariest one of them all.

Back in the living area
billy's camera captures

this strange double light
anomaly moving near the floor.

People are afraid of you.

We've witnessed
poltergeist noises.

That said, I want you to communicate
with us or chase us out of here.

Guys, is there something in here

that would be making
a clicking noise?

- Umm, a clock?
- I keep hearing like... What sounds like dice,

-like hitting each other. -What?

I'm going to turn on my
flashlight to look to see

if there's anything that
I'm like bumping into.

-Yeah. -Yeah.

Because I keep hearing
it like behind my head.

Okay. It's hangers.

[all laughing]

hangers.

-Wait. -What?

But I was nowhere
near the hangers.

Wait, where the hangers moving?

Dude, I was standing like this.
The hangers are behind me.

-Those were moving? -Wait.

You were nowhere near the
hangers and they started moving?

Come look where I am.
Come look where I am.

The hangers are way
over on this corner.

I've been standing in the
doorway the whole time.

Just as lauren is telling billy

how she heard
these hangers moving

when she was clearly
standing away from them,

as seen here,
watch this ball of light move around her

from behind, coming from the
exact location of the hangers.

Hey, lauren, do you want to stay
nearby yourself? See what happens?

We just got motion in number 3.

- Serious?
- Yeah. Where's that at?

-Wait, wait. -What is number 3?

Number 3 would be room 5,
I think.

Run there now.

Let's go.

Lauren's watch begins
detecting unexplained movement

in some of the other rooms.

So we investigate them.

And after documenting
no further evidence,

we decide to wrap up one of
the most incredible investigations

we have ever shared
with a special guest

capturing extremely compelling
evidence of communication with

who we believe is gram parsons.

[recording] what
room did you die in?

I swear.

Gram, get in your bed please.

Whoa, whoa.

Can you do that again?

Oh, my god, dude.

Poltergeist activity.

Oh, my god.

Visual evidence.

And emotional experiences
that truly connected us

in a moment that
we will never forget.

I'm literally crying right
now. I'm like so in shock.

- Is that you, gram?
- It's really overwhelming.

I legit started to [bleep] cry.

Us sitting here,
it felt like I was like a part of something

and it wasn't sad anymore.

It actually made me feel
like this is just beautiful.

- It was uplifting.
- It was really uplifting.

It was angelic.

I will never ever
forget this investigation.

I'll never forget that moment.

That was very special.

That was awesome.

Public shouldn't leave reviews for lawyers.
