Fear the Walking Dead (2015–…): Season 5, Episode 10 - 210 Words Per Minute - full transcript

Morgan and Grace search an abandoned shopping mall for supplies and to fulfill a dying man's wish. There, the mission quickly turns to a fight for survival. Meanwhile, Dwight's resolve to be a better man is tested.

Why don't you just tell us
where the oil fields are?

I wake up every morning,

wondering if... today will be the day

I... start to feel sick.

I got a chance here

to do exactly what I need to do,

so I'm taking it.

We're recording

so that we can show
people what we're about.

Figure this is the best
way to get the message out.

We are out here helping,

but this is bigger than any of us.

Anyone there?

I'm on channel four, like you said.

I saw the video at a gas station.

Name's Charles.

Uh, people called me Chuck

back when there were still
people to call me Chuck.

When you get here, I just
want you to do one thing.

Kill me.

I got bit while I was
corralling some of the dead,

and, well, I want to do what you said.

I-I want to help.

The place I've been living,

it's got everything you
need under one roof...

a-a book store, a bunch
of places to get clothes,

a food court.

Hell, there's even an Urgent Care.

Are you there?

Anybody listening?

If you are, by the time you get here...

... I'll already be gone.

I-I don't have a gun
or I'd do it myself.

I-I've got a red jacket
on, so I'll be easy to spot.

Hell, I'll just hole myself
up in the security office.

I-I-It'll make it easier for you.

Find me.

Bury me someplace outside.

Just...

put me under the stars.

Yeah, that'd be nice.

Oh, shit.

He wasn't kiddin', was he?

It's like before.

You think it'll be enough?

It'll be enough.

Come on.

Let's go find him.

You guys go ahead.

I'm gonna go clean up the strays.

Okay.

Careful.

Candy beansies are jawbreakers now.

Candy what?

Mm.

_

Hey, did you talk to him?

No.

_

He must've remembered
what I said on that tape.

He said he'd be here.

Looks like he tied himself
up here till he turned.

Must've broke loose, wandered off.

So we'll find him.

He couldn't have gone far.

You okay?

Think my blood sugar's a little low.

That's why I grabbed the candy beansies.

Well, that and I haven't had one in...

What?

What do you keep calling those?

Candy beansies.

Candy beansies?

Yeah.

- What?
- Morgan!

- Grace!
- Yeah?

Found the strays.

Our voices must've drawn them out.

You think he fell down there?

This might take a while.

You two really thinkin'
about goin' down there

to kill someone who's already dead?

He said he'd have on
a red jacket, right?

Grace, that's what he...

Grace?

- Hey, hey, hey, Grace.
- Grace?

Need a first-aid kit, please.

Hey, Grace, Grace.

You stay with us.

You just stay with us.

My mama was an interesting woman.

She both made up answers

I had heard people say "jelly beans".

You're brave, Grace.

Just doin' what you're doin',

makin' the most of what you got.

We should all be doin' the same.

I am so not brave.

Yes, you are.

And I've seen it.

When I was 8, I loved horses.

So my parents took me to this dude ranch

so I could see what it
was like to ride on one.

I'd never even seen one up close before.

And there was this one stallion.

Beautiful white mustang.

I got right up to it, and
when I placed my hand on it,

it jerked away a tiny
bit, looked at me funny.

I ran away into my mother's arms.

She tried to tell me that
was just a natural reaction.

She tried to get me on that horse,

but I wouldn't.

You were just a kid.

I just kept screamin' and screamin'.

Made me great at my

Oh, well.

Doesn't matter now.

Can always find another horse to ride.

You seen one lately that
hasn't been torn to pieces?

Actually, I have.

I've rode a couple, too.

I'm still playing it safe, Morgan,

doin' things I can finish today

because I'm too scared
to start somethin'

I might not get to see to the end.

But if the ultrasound tells
you what you think it's gonna,

is there somethin' you can do?

It'll be cancer.

Thyroid.

Maybe in the lymph nodes.

Before, I might've had
a fighting chance, but...

now?

No way.

Did you race cars with your son?

With my son?

Back there when you were...

I don't think I've ever seen
you smile like that before.

I saw the tape, Morgan.

We're in here right now

because you're helping
me with my problem.

Least I can do is try
to help you with yours.

Look, Grace...

I'm cooking pad Thai

and listening to books
on tape at double speed.

Give me a chance to do
something real while I can.

It's not the kind of problem
you can just fix in a day.

We got another problem to deal with.

Let's get to that generator.

Did you bring something to
tear my fingernails off with?

Pair of pliers maybe?

I was thinkin' about your question,

and to tell you the truth,

I got no clue why Logan wants that gas,

but he wants it.

And when you go that long
without somethin', well,

it makes you do even
crazier things to get it.

You can understand that, right, Dwight?

How do you know my name?

Oh, come on, now.

You can't go a mile around here

without findin' one of
them tapes y'all made.

I gotta say, when I saw your part,

I thought, "I get this guy.

I mean, he's all broken up

over what eventually breaks us all...

snatch.

Don't touch that.

See, that's the thing.

When we get good snatch, and I
mean really good snatch,

and we lose it, well, watch out.

Hm.

"Honey".

That's cute.

Not a good idea.

I'll keep burnin' these things

right up until you tell me.

Or maybe I'll find her myself.

She sounds like a sweetheart.

Go on.

Do it.

You're an asshole, too, right?

Yeah.

Yeah, right.

Your light.

Turn it off.

We won't be able to see.

Oh, I know.

Morgan.

I need you to turn it
off and just get down.

Don't overthink this, Grace.

I got it.

Morgan?

Morgan?

Grace. Grace.

You got it?

You know, I would have if...

Thank you.

all night afterward.

I don't think I could've
wiped it off my face

even if I tried.

I wouldn't want to say

You have somebody?

No.

Why not?

Same reason why I didn't get
up on that horse, I guess.

I worked with someone in the plant.

He was smart.

He was kind.

He let me keep thinking

were candy beansies.

It was right.

Because you were right.

I am an asshole.

Or used to be one.

And the way things are goin' lately,

I didn't trust myself
not to be that again.

You know, someone gave
me a second chance.

That's the same chance I'm givin' you.

What the hell are you talkin' about?

When you walk out of these woods,

you're gonna have a choice to make.

You can go on bein' an asshole

or you can figure out
someone else to be.

Go.

Chuck.

You came.

You came.

Hey, bud.

Hey, we've been lookin' for you.

Yeah, sorry for changin' things up.

I... I meant to leave
a note or somethin',

but I-I-I didn't know
how much time I had.

Figured I should make
my move while I could.

The, um... the stumblers
busted into the security office,

and, uh, they followed
me into the stairwell.

I hope they didn't
cause you any headache.

No.

- Okay. Okay.
- No problems whatsoever.

And why'd you come up here?

Wasn't sure how long you'd be.

I asked you folks to
bury me under the stars,

but I got to thinkin', you know,

if I could just make it to the roof,

you know, maybe I could
see them one last time...

Just my luck, though.

A cloudy night.

Least I got company now.

I'll be right back.

Stay there.

I've got something that could help.

Hi.

How's that?

It's perfect.

Thank you.

I should wait out here

in case there's any more stragglers.

I don't wanna know.

Sorry, what?

He didn't want to die here in this mall.

I don't want to, either.

So I'm just gonna believe
there's more than today, Morgan,

no matter what happens.

That's... That's brave.

That's being alive.

Really alive, right?

Sorry to make you go through all this.

No, I mean, we did

We did.
