The Scroll of the Demon Sword Nihil
Bearing a cursed fate,
Hyakkimaru and Dororo, who
travel in search of 48 demons,
encountered the mad killer Tanosuke
and were challenged to a battle.
Tanosuke carried a sword possessed
by the spirits of the dead,
the demon sword Nihil.
He wandered the world at those
spirits' behest, searching for blood.
Hyakkimaru won their battle.
However, the sword fell
into Dororo's hands.
Drawn to this demon sword,
Dororo stole Nihil from the battlefield,
but was now possessed
in Tanosuke's place,
following the sword's command and
raging in search of blood.
Then, at a temple, Dororo
attacks a father and daughter,
then chases them back to their village,
finally holing up in a small hut.
Eventually, Tanosuke came to
the village to reclaim Nihil.
Ignoring his little sister, who was
overjoyed at her brother's return,
Tanosuke walks to the hut where
the desperate Dororo has hidden.
