Part One - The Tale of Yokai [The Spirit] Bandai
Unryu-ji Temple
[Cloud Dragon Temple]
A victim of his father's greed...
Hyakkimaru was a demon child,
born with barely a body.
15 years later...
His matured form
lashes out, ventures out...
And crosses paths with a boy named Dororo.
When Hyakkimaru learns that
Dororo wishes to travel with him...
He tells Dororo tales of his cursed past,
hoping to convince him otherwise.
Juko, a lone doctor,
rescued Hyakkimaru as a baby.
And thanks to the doctor's efforts,
Hyakkimaru's body...
was restored to something
that resembled a human.
Then one day, years later...
Hyakkimaru heard a voice from the darkness,
commanding him to kill 48 demons.
So he departed on a quest.
On the way, he met a group of orphans...
And with them, Mio, a beautiful woman who
lived with the orphans in a burned village.
However, their life together
was suddenly stole from them.
Samurai set fire to their home
and killed Mio and the children.
Hyakkimaru was transformed
into a demon of vengeance.
And his anger burned higher than
the flames on his former home.
I never thought that my happy and
peaceful life with Mio and the children...
could be destroyed so
quickly and so easily.
I thought it was a bond so strong,
that it could release me from
the chains of my cursed fate...
But that was just a sweet dream of mine.
I am still cursed by
demons and cannot escape.
Whatever I do and whatever happens to me,
the demons enjoy watching it happen.
Now, I must not dream.
I must destroy the demons.

This animal was an agent of the demons!
