Martin Rauch, a young NVA Soldier, shall be recruited to work as a spy in West Germany. His aunt Lenora Rauch, who also works for the NVA, convinces her supervisor to do so. Although Martin refuses he is transferred to West Germany.
The greatest evil is not done now,
but it is conceived and
ordered in clear, carpeted,
warmed and well-lighted offices
by quiet men with white
collars and cut fingernails
and smooth-shaven cheeks.
They are the focus of
evil in the modern world.
