Destination Fear (2019–…): Season 2, Episode 4 - Hill View Manor - full transcript

The team heads to New Castle, Pennsylvania, to investigate a former home for the destitute and elderly. Dakota is determined to conquer the terror inside, but things go horribly wrong when ...

We are going to an
extremely active vacant facility

that is now home
to the restless souls

of the unfortunate,
the forgotten, and tortured.

Ask any of the locals around
here, and they'll all tell you

you're out of your mind
to come up here.

Before you read it,
I'll just say it.

This one's personal for us.

They estimate about 10,000
people have died here.

That sounded like a door.
It sounded like a door.

People are touched.
Hair is pulled.

I got hit in the back
in the head.

Oh, my gosh.

No matter
what time of day you get here,

something is going
to happen to you.

We've gone a little too far
this time.

I don't know where I'm at.

Just get me out of here.
Dakota!

Hey, Al-- Hey, Al--

Tanner!
He didn't bring a walkie.

Chelsea! Dakota!

Alex! Alex?

Go, go, go, go.

My name is Dakota Laden.

I am a documentary filmmaker.

For the past few years,
I've been investigating

the paranormal with Zak Bagans
and the "Ghost Adventures" crew.

Dakota Laden.
Welcome, buddy.

I grew up in a house

where paranormal activity
terrorized my entire family.

It has gripped my sister,

my childhood best friend,

and me ever since.

So, I had an idea --

a psychological experiment...
Aah!

...where I would test how terror
affects the human mind,

what it reveals about
our true selves,

and just how much of it
a person can withstand.

To understand the paranormal,

first we need to overcome
our fear.

I'm leading us on a road trip
to explore

the most haunted abandoned
locations in all of America.

Each night, we'll separate
and sleep alone.

The catch is, I'm the only one
who knows where we're going.

It's another day on the road.
It's been a long journey so far.

We've just pulled off
on the highway here.

Chelsea, Tanner, and Alex are
actually in the RV right now.

We're going to an extremely
active vacant poorhouse

and nursing facility

in northern Pennsylvania.

Chelsea, Tanner, and I have
actually been to this location

over four years ago.
This place affected us

probably more than any location
we've ever been to,

and especially
in room number 202.

- Shh.
- Quiet.

I'm worried about Chelsea.

I don't think she's going
to like that we're going back.

Are you okay, Chelsea?
That was really scary.

We heard what sounded like
a little girl moaning so loud,

which brought Chelsea to tears,

brought Tanner close
to his breaking point,

and we actually decided
as a group that night

that we were not
going to sleep alone.

And that's the first time
we've ever done that.

This place,
it's 90,000 square feet.

This was a place
for New Castle's mentally ill,

destitute, and elderly.

There are many residents
that still roam the property

and can be found
in their original patient rooms.

These include a child spirit,

a man who took his own life
on the second floor,

and a former poorhouse
resident in the basement.

I decided that it's time
for us to go back.

I want to take the experiment
to the next level and face off

against something that had us
running the last time.

I feel like Chelsea
and Tanner are not going

to be happy with me about this,
because we all kind of said

that we would never go back
to that place.

What's the first letter
of the place?

Yeah. Where are going right now?
Just tell him straight,

ask him straight up.

It's like
the rapid fire approach.

If we just keep asking --

Eventually he's going to slip up

Before we even go
to the main attraction,

we are going to make
a little pit stop.

- Oh, really?
- We are going somewhere

haunted right now,
which is going to be pretty fun.

This place has been
on my bucket list forever.

I have always wanted
to explore it.

This'll be
a really nice warm-up.

I think it will be helpful
to immerse ourselves

in a paranormal environment

to mentally prepare us
for tomorrow night.

- Huh.
- And it'll be a perfect spot

to read the research packet.

I knew we were going
to be in the area.

We going gonna be
passing close by.

I could not pass up on this.

We are going to meet
with someone there

who who's going to tell us
a little bit about the history.

We only have a couple hours,
but I would love

when the nighttime comes,
for us to walk around,

explore a little bit,
maybe even break out some gear.

Alright, you guys.
You guys ready for this?

- Ready.
- Oh, yeah.

What? What is it?

Seriously, what is that?

It's called the Carrie Furnace.

That is where we
are going right now.

This is our warm-up?

- Seriously.
- This is our appetizer, yeah.

Dude, it's huge.

Whew.

Holy crap.

Look at this.

Hey, hey.

Nice to finally meet you.
Nice to meet you, too.

Thanks for coming.
Hi. Thanks for having us.

- Happy to have you here.
- Nice to meet you.

So, where are we right now?

You're at the Carrie
Blast Furnaces

National Historic Landmark site.

You know, they made iron
on this site from 1884 to 1982.

The technology that was put
in place here changed the world.

This place produced the iron
that became the steel

that literally and figuratively
built America's 20th century.

I heard it built
the Empire State Building,

the steel here.
Absolutely.

Empire State Building,
Panama Canal locks.

Wow.
USS Missouri, USS Oregon.

Really, what these are
are manmade volcanoes.

This is an inherently
dangerous place.

You're talking
about molten metal

that is being cast out
at close to 3,000 degrees

in open runners
through the floor.

But it's also off-gassing with
carbon monoxide and methane,

which both gladly kill you
and kill you quickly.

I'm sure there was lots
of death here.

Unfortunately, yes.

Do you know how much,
how many people?

Hundreds of people
through the years.

People were working
12 hours a day, six days a week

and every other Sunday
doing a 24-hour shift.

Add to it that you're working

around almost 3,000-degree
molten iron,

with smoke and sulfur

and everything else, it's bad.

Oh, man. So I also hear
that this place is haunted.

Is that true?
Well, so they say.

I think we're going
to take a walk around now

while we still have
some daylight

and check out this place.
It's massive.

And then once it gets dark,

we're going to try
to experience something.

Well, nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.

Thank you for your time.
Be safe.

This must have been, like,
where they loaded everything

to maybe ship out.

What the heck?

So much potential for accidents.

Right, there's got to be
a couple incidents

that happened right there.

They said that this was
the riskiest place to work

in all of Pittsburgh

at the time.
All of Pittsburgh?

- Yeah.
- Really?

- Oh.
- Whoa, look at this!

That's crazy, actually.

This is so cool.

Creepy.

It's officially dark out,

so we're gonna go
to the haunted hot spots here.

- Alright. Let's get going.
- Let's do it

- Right through here?
- Yeah, right this way.

- Look how big this is.
- Yeah.

Is there anybody here with us?

Can you make a loud noise?

How about, Chelsea, do you have
the Ovilus with you?

Can you hold it
and turn that on?

Here you go.
Just keep it on the whole night,

and if it says anything,
let us know.

Dang, dude, that's so creepy
behind you there,

- the fencing.
- I don't want to see it.

Whoa.

What did it say?

- Cesium?
- Cesium?

I don't even know
what that means. Cesium.

- Maybe we Google it.
- Cesium.

- It's just a --
- It's a soft metal.

It's a chemical metal, yeah.

I mean, I wonder
if that was used here.

I've never seen
that word on the Ovilus.

I didn't even know it was.

Yeah, I didn't know
what it meant.

- What did it say?
- Observe.

- Observe.
- Okay, this is --

- This is so weird.
- This is so crazy.

What?

What the hell was that?

- Was that screaming?
- That was screaming.

That was screaming.

That was screaming,

Uh, that did not sound
like a typical scream.

No, it sounded like a group
of people screaming,

Let's just go check quick that
there's not a group of people

screaming out here, like
a bunch of kids or something.

There's nothing out here.

It's spooky as heck, yo.

This is so creepy.

Alright. I'm freaked out.

I think we've seen
enough already.

What do you guys say
we go find a table,

and I give you guys the packet,
and you guys can find out

about the main location
for tomorrow night?

- Sure.
- Yeah, let's do it.

Okay.

Alright, are you guys ready
to find out where we're going?

As ready as we'll ever be.
Before you read it,

I'll just say it.
This one's personal for us.

And how about you, Chelsea?
You can open her up.

Oh, man.

Hill View Manor.

Dakota, no.
I don't want to go there.

We've all been
to this location before.

Yeah, but we barely even
made it through.

That's the point, though.
I think this --

I cried here.
Like, I literally cried here.

I know. I mean, we all
went through hell last time,

but this is about redemption.
It's been four years,

last time we were there.

I also found some new
information about this place.

"Perched atop a grassy hill,

this imposing
90,000-square-foot structure

in the outskirts
of New Castle, Pennsylvania,

is a monument to the pain
and suffering

humans can inflict on those
less fortunate than themselves."

Originally,
it started out as a poor farm,

and that was in 1926.

And they took in
the indigent, the mentally ill,

people just who couldn't
take care of themselves,

and they basically
were dumped there.

You were known as an inmate.

"The original poorhouse
was opened in 1926

by Perry Snyder
and his wife, Mary.

Over the next 20 years,
rumors swarmed

about the horrific conditions
at the facility

until finally the Snyders
were removed from their post

and kicked out of the home."

"In the 1960s, it transitioned
to a nursing home

but quickly
became overcrowded."

And at that point,
they constructed

what we call One North.

That part of the building
was used as critical care

for patients who really needed
intensified treatment.

"Claims of abuse,
neglect, and mistreatment

swirled around the community
for the next 30 years

until it finally closed in 2004
due to lack of funding."

"During the 78 years
in operation,

countless residents passed away.

Once admitted,
most patients never left

and would spend the rest
of their lives at Hill View."

They estimate about 10,000
people have died here.

"Neglect plagued the Manor,
and people died on the ground

from old age, illness,
and some even took their lives.

There were 33 suicides here.

Some of these supposed suicides,
we think were murders,

or somebody -- Let's put it
this way. Somebody helped them.

People in their wheelchairs

found at the bottom
of a stairwell.

There was another gentleman that
he was pushed out of a window

up on the second floor.

If somebody did die here,

they probably never
called the coroner.

That's the reality
of this place.

"In the end,
many of those who passed away

are buried in unmarked graves
behind Hill View Manor,

and their souls are doomed

to roam within the walls
of the facility."

We can all attest to that, too.

When we were there,
this place was extremely active,

especially in room 202,

where we heard
a little girl moaning.

We were crying.
We were scared.

This place is no joke.

Ask any of the locals around
here, and they'll all tell you

you're out of your mind
to come up here.

Everybody's scared to death
in this place.

This woman had an experience

that caused her
to quit working here.

She was on the first floor.

There was no one around
this one particular resident,

but the chair that this person
was sitting in

started to shake violently.

And the next thing they know,
they saw the chair lift up,

and the patient was thrown
to the floor.

Some people experience chills.

Some people experience
a heaviness

or weighing down
of their bodies.

I actually got grabbed
on the back of the arm,

and my arm got really cold
just all of a sudden.

And I've never
had that happen to me.

"There are several known
spirits of former patients

that still reside
at the Manor today."

"Jeffery is the spirit
of a small boy

who lived at the poorhouse.
He loves Babe Ruth

and often appears in period
clothing on the second floor."

The residents
who would see Jeffrey,

they would report to the nurses

that they saw a child
running around, a little boy.

And within days,
that person would pass away.

One time, me and my son,

we were the only one
in the building,

and it was during the day.

All of a sudden, we just heard,
like, a little boy giggle.

You get all kinds
of audible voices here.

"He loves to play
with light-up toys,

making them light up

even when the batteries
have been removed."

The REM pod.

We should totally try
REM pod with Jeffrey.

Down in the basement,

people are touched.
Hair is pulled.

Those are the spirits that tend
to be a little bit more fierce.

You've really got to be careful
when you're here.

Last time we were there,

we really didn't give
the basement a fair shot.

George was a maintenance man

who worked in the basement
opposite of the boiler room.

George has been known
to tap some men

on the back of their head.

I got hit
in the back of the head,

so much so that my head
was pushed forward.

We've had all kinds of EVPs
telling you to get out.

When we do get EVPs
that say "Get out," we get out.

The fact that we're
going back is insane.

I also know how hard
it's going to be.

No one wants to go there,
but we have to go there.

Why?
This is about redemption.

Oh, God.
Just get me out of here.

Where are these stairs?
Dakota! Tanner!

- Alex!
- Yo, Alex.

I don't know where I'm at.
I have no **** clue.

I can't believe we're
going back to Hill View Manor.

I can't believe, either.

Did you guys
get some sleep last night?

You know, the anticipation
of going to this place

kind of kept me up all night.

What are you guys
thinking right now?

I mean, this is a location that
affected us so much last time.

What are you guys thinking?
What's going through your heads?

We've gone back
to St. Albans.

We've gone back to PennHurst.
And both of those times,

I believe it got worse
than the original time.

So I think if we go back
to Hill View,

which we know
was a horrible time,

I don't know. I'm nervous for
tonight, to be honest with you.

Yeah.
This wasn't my breaking point.

This wasn't where I quit.
I quit the night after.

But mentally, Hill View Manor
is where I checked out.

Yeah.
This was my breaking point.

We heard what sounded
like a little girl moaning

on the second floor,
in room 202,

and it shook us all so hard.
Chelsea, you were tearing up.

You're okay.

Are you okay, Chelsea?
That was really scary.

Like, we all collectively
heard something so loud

that we didn't need equipment
to hear it.

It was the first time I think,

like, no one
could debunk what it was.

I could physically see
the changes

in you guys after this trip.

Like, it was night
and day for a while.

It took you guys a long time
to bounce back after this.

Right now, we are on our way
to Hill View Manor.

We're getting close.
Are you nervous?

Are you?
I'm really nervous.

I'm super nervous, then.

You guys have already been here.

And if you're nervous
to go back,

that's not a good sign for me.

I don't want to say it too loud.

Four years ago, the energy
was so bad that, like,

we almost want to just quit
and run out of the building.

This is going to be a challenge.

Every single thing we've learned
in the last four years

is going to come
into play tonight.

- What?
- Oh, my --

- Yeah.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.

Dak, I'm not going in.

I have so many memories

coming back to my head
right now.

I forgot how big it was.

How did you guys even do this
the first time?

We barely did.
We didn't.

This is it.
We got to do this, you guys.

I am not happy to be back.

Welcome to Hill View Manor.

Screw this.

Here we are.

- Why did I choose to come back?
- Seriously.

- Oh, no.
- Why would you take us back?

Dude, all the memories
are just flooding right back in.

So, we just got
into Hill View Manor.

We set up a gear room.

It's the only room
that has power or electricity.

And right now,
we are about to do some walking.

But I have an idea.

I think it'd be interesting
if we started with a hat draw,

and two people have to go
do a solo for over an hour.

Are you kidding me?

It could potentially draw out
more paranormal activity.

And I think this would be
an interesting way

to conquer our fears.

And only two people
are going to get it.

It's a good challenge.
I don't like solos.

So right now, I'm gonna write
everyone's name down

on a separate piece of paper.

- Is that maybe you?
- No, that's my walkie.

Is there anyone in here with us?

Can you make that walkie
go off again

however you just did that?

No way.

Okay, what?

Hello?

Can you talk to that somehow?

Do you remember us?

If you remember us,
can you make that thing go off?

- Dude, what...
- What?

...is going on?

Let me see if this --
Oh, my God.

They're all on.
They're all on.

That's the only one
that's doing it.

They're all on the same channel.

Okay. I'm going to turn it off.
Oh, my gosh.

I'm gonna turn this
off right now.

It was answering us directly.

Now we're about to do solos.

Alright, so I just drew
everyone's names out.

I'm gonna crumple them up,
put them into this hat,

and then I'm gonna draw.

Oh, my gosh.

Right here.

"Dakota." Damn it.

Yeah!

I drew my own name.

Karma. I mean, literally karma
every time.

So, I just drew my name first,

which means I'm doing
the first solo of two solos.

I do not envy you at all.

Alright. So,
this is the last person.

All three names are in this hat.

It's either Alex,
Chelsea, or Tanner.

33% chance.

- Please, no. Please, no.
- Here it is.

Alex.
God!

What?
Alex.

Come on.
I don't want to do this.

Okay. So, right now, I am about
to do my solo walk-through.

- Chelsea, give me some luck.
- Good luck.

- I can't even see you.
- I can't even see you.

Good luck, buddy.

Whew. Okay.
I'm so scared right now.

Okay, so, I am
in the pitch dark, you guys.

I can't see anything. There's
only a bunch of exit signs

down the hall lighting up red.

So this is what
I'm seeing right now. Just red.

I don't even know
where I'm going.

I don't remember
the layout too well.

Here we go.
Here's the staircase.

Alright. Second floor.

Whew.

Down this hall and to the left
is room 202,

which is where we had
our creepy experience.

I'm just gonna get
as close as I can.

I'm gonna sit right here.

Okay.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm starting
to feel really sick.

Kind of, like,
nauseous right now.

I don't know, dude.
I feel off.

Really?
Just feel off with this place,

like it's just not good.

Usually don't pick up
on stuff like this.

For some reason,
I just don't think

it's a good idea to do this.

Definitely not feeling
like myself right now.

Here I go. I'm gonna try
to find the basement

where there's a spirit
named George

that does not like men.

Alright. Here's the staircase.

Alright.

Screw that.

The creepy thing
about this basement

is there's just tons of stuff

from when this used to be
an active nursing home

and hospital.

George, are you down here?

Oh, my gosh.
Look at all this.

We have crutches.
There's crutches over here.

Whoa, what was that?

Right now,
I'm down in the basement

where a spirit named George
is said to haunt.

Apparently he does not like men.

George, are you down here?

Oh, my gosh. Look at all this.

We have crutches.
There's crutches over here.

Whoa, what was that?

Hello?

Hello? I just heard
something move.

George, is that you?

Here. Here's what
I'm going to do.

I'm going to go sit in
the middle of the hallway

and do a digital
recorder session.

Are you down here
with me, George?

Do you not like
that I'm down here?

Would you like me to leave?

If you could tell me
anything right now,

what would you tell me?

I'm able to hear you
on this device.

What do you want me to know?

Alright. I'm not going to
play this back right now

because I am
way too freaked out.

I'm going to go back upstairs
to meet with the group.

That was terrifying.

I am so glad to be done.

Oh, my gosh.

- What?
- Why did you do that?

I'm freakin' running fast.
I hate this place.

How'd it go?

I went down in the basement,
and I did an EVP session,

So I'm gonna listen to it,
'cause I haven't listened to it.

You haven't listened to it?

Are you down here
with me, George?

If you could tell me
anything right now,

what would you tell me?

I'm able to hear you
on this device.

What do you want me to know?

Can I listen to it myself?
Yeah.

Holy ****

I know exactly what I hear.

I think it says,
"Get out. Get out."

It's saying "Get out"
twice. Oh.

I think.
Listen to it again.

Let's hear it.

- Yeah.
- Two "get out" s.

Two "get out" s. It's, like,
getting progressively louder.

Whew. Alex, are you ready
to do your solo?

- No after that.
- No.

Whew. Alright.

So right now,
Alex is going to go do

his solo walk-through
of the building.

What's going
through your head, man?

I don't know. I just -- I've had
a bad feeling all night.

I don't feel like we should be
in this building at all.

If you have any questions
about the location,

make sure you're walkie'ing us.

Just -- I know it's it's hard
for any of us to remember.

Alright, sounds good.

That's hallway One North,
by the way,

the famous haunted one.

Great.

Okay.

Well, so far, I don't like
being down here at all.

I just have a really bad
feeling right now.

I don't see any stairs.

It's hitting him hard.

Whatever is going on
is pretty aggressive.

Like, he is going in there
for the first time ever,

not knowing anything about
the layout of the location.

Mnh-mnh.
And not only is he going there,

but he's going there
not feeling good.

I'm actually lost.

Okay. Here we go.

Alright. I'm going up
to the second floor.

Okay.

Well, I really should have
looked at a map

before I got up here.

Jeffrey's room,
there should be a fire truck.

So I'm gonna to check
down this hallway now.

This is the hallway.

Here is the fire truck.

So, Jeffrey is the spirit
of a small boy

who's said
to haunt the second floor.

I'm going to grab out
the REM pod.

What this does is it picks up
electromagnetic frequencies.

Goes off.

So, I have the REM pod
right next to the fire truck.

Jeffrey, I know you like
little toys that light up

and make noise.

Right next to your fire truck

is a little toy
that you can play with.

The REM pod's going off.

I think it's not flashing

because it's picking up
temperature change.

Please let go of it
if that's you, Jeffrey.

It stopped.

So **** Oh, my God!

I'm not **** kidding.

I just saw a shadow.

What?

What is going on?

Hello?

What is happening?

Okay.

Oh, my God.

Like all my energy right now

has just been
completely drained.

Like, I feel nauseous,

like super, super nauseous
right now.

What the hell? Oh, my gosh.

Oh, my God.

Can I see your walkie?
Yeah.

I'm gonna walkie Alex.

Hey, Al-- Hey, Al--

What? No way.

Did he leave his walkie?
He didn't bring a walkie.

But that wasn't one of yours
sitting right there?

No. No.
He's really not feeling good.

Like, he literally --
If he didn't bring a walkie --

**** What do you want to do?

I've never had this happen.

I'm gonna give it like
7, 8, maybe 10 more minutes.

Yeah.

Oh, my -- ****

What the hell?

Where's my walkie?

Oh, my God. ****

Ohh. Okay.
I didn't bring my walkie.

Okay.

Where are the stairs?

God. Just get me out of here.

Where are these stairs?
Dakota!

Tanner! Dakota! Tanner!

I can't even sit here.

Alright, let's go get Alex.
Frick.

Oh, my gosh.

Alex?

- Alex!
- Yo, Alex.

I don't even know
where we are right now.

Ah **** we're lost.
We're lost.

No, we're not.
**** No, we're in

the wrong part, too.
Alex!

I don't know where I'm at.

I have no **** clue.

Chelsea! Dakota!

Tanner! Someone!

I don't know where I'm at.
I have no **** clue.

Chelsea! Dakota!

Tanner! Someone!

Alright. Go, go.

Guys.

- Yo, Alex.
- Alex!

Yo! Please --

- What --
- Alex!

- Hey, Alex!
- Come on, go, go, go.

- Yo, where are you, dude?
- Here. I'm right here.

What's going on, dude?
You have a walkie.

I know.
Dude, I **** threw up.

You threw up?
I just felt super weak

and nauseous, and I threw up.

And I swear I saw a shadow
dart past the window twice.

Dude, we need to get you
out of here.

My gosh, Alex, I feel so bad.

We should have came
earlier, you guys.

Where are we?
Dude, you're right next to the room

where we had our experience.
What?

That's where we heard
the little girl, room 202.

- I don't know where I am.
- Lefty, lefty, lefty.

Lefty, lefty.
Let's get out of here.

Just feel like
I have no energy right now.

That was by far scarier

than anything
I've ever heard or seen.

It just hit me all of a sudden.

And you're not sick.

I just felt off
since we walked into this place.

I mean,
it's not supposed to happen,

but this place has been known

to, like,
make people feel nauseous.

I don't know
if anyone's ever puked.

I just think we've gone
a little too far this time.

It just hit me like a wave.
It's really all I remember.

I honestly don't even remember

how or when
you guys came up and got me.

Whatever it is up there --

spiritual, demonic,
whatever it is,

it's not something
that's friendly.

Do you think something
just right away latched onto you?

Kind of seems like that.

We know that this building
right now is the real deal.

Like, there's been
physical ramifications.

To find you like that,
that's frickin' messed up.

Like, I do not want
to go back up there.

I literally think we're all

running the risk
of having this happen to us.

If it can do that,
who knows what else it can do?

Myself, Chelsea, and Tanner,

we're going to keep
walking the building.

Alex is back in the gear room.

He's going to lay down
and just try to take it easy

and just recoup
from what just happened.

We could go to Jeffrey's room
where Alex puked.

Or we could go straight to 202

where we had our
experiences last time

and try to get some answers.

I really think that we should go
to Jeffrey's room,

you know, go where Al went first

and just kind of see
what happened there,

see if we can figure out
anything.

Whew.

Oh, I remember this
all too well.

Whew.

This is just not a good hallway.

Alright, Jeffrey's room
is right down here

on the south side
of the second floor.

Wait. Listen.
It's the REM pod.

- What's going on? Why --
- What is it doing?

I've never seen it
do that before.

- What?
- Okay.

Well, that's weird.
The REM pod went off,

so something had to be very
close to that and touching that.

What we just experienced
right there felt like

that might have been Jeffrey,
like a little kid.

Why do you think it chose Alex?

I don't know.
He hasn't been here before.

Maybe it was
just luck of the draw.

There's something here,
something not good.

If we are talking
to something dark or evil,

something that doesn't
want us here,

can you just make one loud noise

to let us know
you don't want us here?

Ohh.

That was down this hallway.
Yeah.

That's the first noise
we've heard

since we've been up here,
right when I asked.

Can you just make one loud noise

to let us know
you don't want us here?

Ohh.

Dude, I don't want to go to 202.

I don't, either,
but we kind of have to.

Whew.

So, this is right
where the loud noise came from,

which also happens to be
by room 202.

Oh, my gosh.
This is it.

We're back in the room.

Last time we were here,
we were standing inside

of room 202 right here,
and we heard what sounded

like a little girl crying
out in this hallway.

This is also
where Alex ended up somehow.

When we came up here
to find Alex,

he was standing right there.

My sister Chelsea here, she's
holding something in her hand

that you can use to talk to us.

There's a word database
inside of there,

and you can choose any word
you'd like, and we'll hear you.

Can you give us
some sort of a message,

some sort of an answer?
Are you a little girl?

I can't believe we found Alex
right next to this room.

Yeah. Down this hallway.
Alex was sitting right here.

Something might have
led Alex down here.

That's what
I'm starting to think.

Like, he was sitting right in
front of this drinking fountain.

Why did you decide to mess
with our friend Alex?

I was up here, too,
and you didn't do that to me.

What?

- "Picked."
- Like it picked Alex.

I mean,
that's right on the nose, man.

I mean, you just
asked the question,

"Why didn't you mess with me?
And it just said,

"I already picked."
Something is still following us,

something dark, something evil.

Whew. Okay.
We're going to get out of here.

Okay, so here's
what's going on right now.

We just went back
to the gear room,

and Alex is not feeling
any better -- almost worse.

I felt like
it was going to get better.

And now it's just back.

You should not continue.
You do not look good.

It took everything
that I have out of me.

Okay, I think we should
just wrap this up right now.

We should get you
to the hospital.

Me, Chelsea, and Tanner
will take you to the hospital.

No, no. Dude, no.

We got to be safe
rather than sorry.

If you call me a car, I can go.

You guys can't leave.
I don't want you guys to leave.

You're comfortable just
going to the hospital by yourself?

It's not gonna do any good

having all of you guys
come there anyways.

You've waited for years
to redeem yourselves here.

That is why we're here.
We're here to finish this place

and conquer this place.
That's why we're here, so...

You guys need to be so careful.

Seriously, if any of you guys
start to feel this at all,

just get out of the building.

We just called -- I went
outside. I called someone.

Someone's on their way
right now to pick you up.

They're going to take you
to a hospital

that's actually pretty close.

Get some sleep, some real sleep.

We'll -- We'll reconvene
tomorrow afternoon.

- See you, dude.
- We love you, Alex.

- Love you, man.
- See you guys.

- Love you, brother.
- Keep us updated, alright?

Alright, so, we just had to say
goodbye to Alex.

We're gonna go draw out
of the hat and sleep alone.

This is something
that we've never done before.

We've never actually
successfully slept alone here.

- Whoa.
- Oh, my gosh.

We just had to send Alex
to the hospital.

He pretty much said, like
"You guys got to finish strong."

So we're gonna draw out
of a hat right now.

This is something that
we've never done before.

We've never actually
successfully slept alone here.

So we are going to do this
for Alex.

Sleeping alone will make us
more vulnerable.

It may heighten
the paranormal activity here.

We have the basement,

where a spirit named George
is said to haunt.

George does not like men.

I was down there earlier
when I was alone doing my solo,

and I got an EVP that said,
"Get out. Get out."

We have the first-floor hallway
called One North.

That's where people have had
doors slammed in front of them.

That's where people have
seen shadows waving to them.

The only thing is
we just haven't

had anything happen there yet.

So we'll see.
We'll see what happens.

And for a third
and final location,

we have the second floor
outside of room 202.

This is where last time,
we heard a little girl moaning.

And this is also
where we found Alex.

He puked and ended up
right outside of room 202.

So it's definitely
one of the more active hallways.

Tanner's going to drop
the three scariest locations.

All these suck.

We're gonna put them in the hat,

and that's where you go sleep
for the rest of the night.

Alright.
Who wants to draw first?

I can do it. I'll draw first.
Alright. Tanner's up.

No. Hallway room 202.

Dang it.
I did not want that one.

Second floor
is by far the most active.

- You can draw. You can draw.
- Okay.

Here I go.

- The basement?
- Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

- No way.
- No.

I got the frickin' basement,

where earlier I got an EVP
saying "Get out."

Last time when we were here
and we slept in pairs,

no one even slept
in the basement.

Chelsea got
the One North hallway,

which is actually to my right
right here.

Just because it looks good
on paper

doesn't mean it's going to be
the best sleeping arrangement.

Now it's time for us
to bundle up

and go sleep separately.

Damn it.

Man.
This sucks.

This is the least favorite
part of the night.

This sucks, man.

- Sleep good, dude.
- Thanks, man.

I just got to my spot.

I'm on the second floor.

This sucks.

This is the one spot
I didn't want to be.

I just feel off already.

Now it's time to spend the night
on the second floor.

So, I am currently in One North.

I'm sleeping
next to the REM pod.

I have this hallway down here.

Without the infrared light --

So that's the reality of this.

I am in a very spooky hallway
under a very scary lighting.

There's no way
I'm getting any sleep tonight.

No way. Never do.

So, right now,
I'm in the basement.

This is where a spirit
named George said to haunt.

I want to get through this night
for Alex,

and hopefully he's fine,

and we can keep moving on
with this trip.

Holy ****

Holy ****

Okay. I actually want
to know what that was.

Did you just hear a big thump?

Yeah, and I think
that was on my floor.

Wait, so we heard
the same noise?

That is crazy.

I'm currently walking around
the second floor

trying to figure out
where that thunk came from.

Hello?

I don't know what that was.

I'm just gonna go
back to my spot.

I don't know
what that could have been.

I hear footsteps.

They sound like they're coming
from down the hall.

Hello?

No, no, no. No, no.

Oh, my gosh.
The REM pod just went off.

It made a noise that I've never
heard it make before.

I've only seen it
really turn red.

It turned like three colors.
I have no idea what that means.

No idea.

Hey, Dakota?
****

****
Yeah. Go for Dakota.

What does it mean
when the REM pod turns

like three different colors?

That means that something
is very, very close to it,

almost touching it.
Is that what just happened?

It went off
three different colors?

Yeah. Like, I've never
seen it do that. It wasn't long,

but it was like -- It turned
three different colors.

Yeah, that means that
something's really close to it.

That is so creepy, Chelsea.

That is seriously the creepiest
thing in the world.

Okay. Dumb question.

Is there anything that would
be, like, white mist,

not, like, dark mist,
but, like, a whitish mist?

What?

Did you just see something?

Okay, so, to be
totally honest with you,

I literally have seen,
like, these wisps

of white, cloudy things.

I mean, to me, that sounds
like something is around you.

Maybe it's protecting you.

Maybe it's just -- It's okay
with you being in its space.

I really don't know
if it's my mind

or if I'm really seeing
something, but it's weird.

We've all been
in our sleeping arrangements

for over 3 1/2 hours,

and it is time for us
to get out of here.

I am so frickin' happy
that we're done.

This is what we came here to do,
was to conquer this place,

to actually sleep alone,
and we did it.

Hey, Chelsea and Tanner,

I'm going to start
wrapping up down here.

Come get you guys in a minute.

Alright, man.
Sounds like a plan.

- Dakota?
- Yeah.

Whew.
I think we've had enough.

I've definitely had enough.

I planned this trip, and I knew

we were going to be coming back
to Hill View Manor.

I had my eyes
on Chelsea and Tanner,

because last time,
they were so affected.

I should have been worrying
about the person

who hadn't been there yet.

Hill View Manor
beat us last time,

and we wanted
to even up the score here.

I don't really know if we can
truly say we won this round.

We had one of our friends
go down,

and we still don't know
how he's doing.

Alex, I could tell right away

this place
had a big effect on him.

The second he walked
through the door,

he said he wasn't feeling well,

and it just progressively
got worse overnight.

There's a lot of reasons
I feel guilty about this.

I sent him in there alone.
That was my idea.

Dakota, he can't
put that on his shoulders.

It's not like anyone could have
predicted what happened tonight.

The fear of the darkness
in these locations

pales in comparison

when it comes to the fear
of losing a friend.

I wanted to go back
to this place, get redemption,

get answers on what
we experienced last time,

and all I have is more proof

that this place
is very dark and very scary.

And if you have your guard down,
it can be chaos.

I have no idea
how Alex is doing right now.

I just hope that he's okay

and that we're able
to push forward with him.

If this place was as dark
as it was, whew,

I have no idea what to expect
at some of these next spots.

But the only thing on my mind
right now

is to go see Alex
at the hospital.

I just hope he's doing okay.
