So who are you, please?

I'm Bryce.

I'm Christian.

I'm Jason,
and we are Hamster Wheel.

Hamster Wheel?

So where are you all from?

We are all from the great

state of Minnesota.

And you built this thing?
Every last piece of it

and bigger

and better every time.

I'm a business analyst.

Ten years ago,

Jason was a professor
in college,

and one of the classes
that Jason taught was this

Rube Goldberg

engineering design class,

and we were quite good at it,

so we just kept on
going with it.

Rube Goldberg machines
started in the '20s

with the cartoonist who was
writing these comic strips

to do these elaborate
chain reaction machines,

and then sometime
in the '60s engineers

and others decided
it would be fun

to make these cartoons

come to life.

We can make that flag
fall softer

by starting at a higher angle.

The machine has to run
perfect without being touched.

We have never been asked before
to get on stage

and do it in one try

without any retakes.

Problem solved.

[laughter]

There we go, [inaudible].
[thud]

That's--that looks bad.

My dream is to be able
to take science and technology

to the biggest audience
that I can,

and being on "AGT"
is an opportunity

to take that
to 10 million people.

Our fingers are crossed
that it's all gonna work out.

We were worried about
the breeze walking in here.

How many hours a week do you
spend

coming up
with these kind of ideas?

So this machine

took about 300 hours.

The way I got the nickname

We start performing together

We work in street for tips.

Our act today
is based on acrobatics.

There will be some handstands,
some equilibrium,

some foot juggling.

Our job is dangerous.

I feel very big responsibility

for her.

I'm really happy that I have

this special relationship

with my father.

I know that I could talk to him

if I have any problems

even though he can't always
help me with math.

It's amazing to have this
"America's Got Talent"

experience with my father.

It was our dream. This dream,

it will give her future.

I know I'm not gonna be able
to perform

with my father forever,

and I can't stand the fact

I've worked retail jobs,

and I am pursuing

stand-up comedy.

People have been saying
for a long time that I should

do stand-up comedy

just 'cause I was really good

at, you know, making remarks

in conversation and--

I think people
have an idea of humor,

that there's a certain way

to do it, and then laughter.

Pursuing comedy's definitely

not been what I thought.

I don't always get

the best reactions.

I feel I'm still finding

where I really fit.

Tonight's really my chance
to prove to people

that I have a talent.

I know it's not necessarily

what everyone wants to see,

but there will be people
out there that want to see it,

and that's--it's okay

that there's people
that probably don't.

I am, like, into this
'cause this is different.

I don't know what's happening,

but it's a struggle

I'm an insomniac.

I tried online dating,
and there would be people

that would say,

"Must love dogs."

I didn't understand why.

Like, I want to love a person.

But it all made sense
once I looked at the faces

of the people

that were saying that.

Dating's really hard for me,
like, compatibility-wise.

Like, like, I'm a Virgo,

compatible with people

that are really naive
and believe in horoscopes.

I traded in my car to get

my interest rates lowered.

It worked.

Women are
less interested in me.

I once had my identity stolen.
