America's Got Talent: Live Semi Finals 1

Simon: Astonishingly good.
Where you been?
Heidi: How good are you?
Simon: I loved it.
Mel: You killed it!
Heidi: Yes!
Tyra: Are you ready?

semifinals!
Someone needs to stop Clearway Law.

the semifinals.
Here's your host, Tyra banks.
[ Cheers and applause ]
Tyra: What's up everybody,
this is "agt" and this is the
first semifinals!
Yeah, the competition just got
tougher.
And everybody's got to raise
their game again, because the
prize tonight is a place in the
finals.
That means that there is more
pressure, more nerves, more
everything.
11 acts are going to be taking
this stage tonight, baby, but
only five of them will survive.
But there are four people
already guaranteed a place at
the finals.
Give it up for your "agt"
judges, Howie mandel, Mel b,
Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell.
Now following the American
dreams can be pretty tough
sometimes as the parents of Mel
b's parents will tell you.
She is Amanda mena.

Here's a dance crew that
listened and made changes.

Frs here's junior new system.
When we put our heels on,
everything changes, our
attitudes, it makes us feel
fierce.
We feel so powerful, and we
transform into junior new

It's like we become divas.
And doing stunts and dancing
with heels --
the last performance on the
first live show almost wasn't
enough.
That first half without the
heels is not as exciting.
And then being in the second
phase, it's hard for us because
we failed, like it's the end.
Junior new system.
We were very, very happy.
We were all crying.
Because we are one step closer
to our dream.
Now for the semifinals we want
to step up our game.
We will do stunts in heels that
we've never done before.
We are rehearsing eight hours a
day.
We're going to embrace what
makes us unique.
And we will keep on fighting.

This is a tough, tough
semifinals tonight.
But out of all the performances
I've heard from you, this is the
best one yet.
Tyra: Howie.
Howie: I agree with what
everyone is saying, this is your
best performance yet.
You're an amazing singer.
I have to say you're on
"America's got talent," there's
so much more than just singing.
If you're going to be a singer
you have to blow the roof off
the place.
Heidi: She just did!
Howie: I don't think she did.
I think she did an amazing job.
I don't think she blew the roof

But it's not up to me.
It's up to America.
Heidi: Boo, Howie.
Tyra: Howie, give her some
constructive criticism.
Do you mean her voice or stage
presence?
Howie: I mean everything.
It's hard for singer on
"America's got talent."
Tyra: Mel b.
Mel: I understand what you're
saying but I disagree 100%.
She just killed it.
Yes, it was a little
overproduced but your voice just

If you want Makayla to be in
finals, you have to vote.

Up next, front pictures are

comedian Samuel j. Comroe

the finals.
You know you don't want to miss
that.
Tyra: In the semifinals, the
judges get to bring back one act
that did not make it through,
but which they think deserves a
second shot.
So here is their wild card act,

After our last performance,
we were sent home.

We were disappointed because
we really want to continue to go
to the finals.
When we found out that we are
invited back as a wild card, it

And now I'd like to say
something from my heart.
Space was my inspiration.
My fascination about space
started in childhood.
When I was a little kid, I had a
telescope at home and I could
look at the stars just right
from my window.
I dreamed to be an astronaut.
It was time of space race and
astronauts, they were heroes.
Even now when I look up at the
sky, I still have this feeling
that impossible is possible.
Tonight I want to create the
feeling of stepping out to
space.
Now, as a wild card, I feel a
huge responsibility to show
something that nobody else did
before.
I want America to feel the same
sense of wonder that I felt as a
child.
What could be more marvelous?

Howie: There are no fish in

Here's a dance crew that

Let's see if those changes
worked.
Frs here's junior new system.
When we put our heels on,
everything changes, our
attitudes, it makes us feel
fierce.
We feel so powerful, and we
transform into junior new
systems.
It's like we become divas.
And doing stunts and dancing
with heels --
the last performance on the
first live show almost wasn't
enough.
That first half without the
heels is not as exciting.
And then being in the second
phase, it's hard for us because
we failed, like it's the end.
Junior new system.
We were very, very happy.
We were all crying.
Because we are one step closer
to our dream.
Now for the semifinals we want
to step up our game.
We will do stunts in heels that
we've never done before.
We are rehearsing eight hours a
day.
We're going to embrace what
makes us unique.
And we will keep on fighting.
We never thought we'd have an
opportunity like this.

be in the finals.
