Coming from bad neighborhoods,

there was a lot of gang
violence.

It was a full time job just to
stay out of trouble.

That's why we started the future
kingz.

It made us feel safe.
It gave us hope for the future.

about things.

ups and downs.

He's hoping to get you on your

feet, and a magician hopes to

Tyra: So here is an act who
got sent home after the last

round.
But then the judges got

together, they argued, they
fought, it actually got

physical -- well, not real
physical.

But, you know, they all decided
to bring him back as a wild

card.
And you're about to hear why.

Here's Daniel Emmet.
Most teenagers don't fall in

love with classical music, but
once I started singing, I never

wanted to stop.
After my performance at judge

cuts, I felt great.
I gave it everything I had.

But it just wasn't enough.
Simon: I'm going to cut to

the chase, Daniel, you haven't
made it through.

It was heartbreaking.
Howie: Don't give up.

But this journey is not over.
Now I find out I'm back on the

show.
I'm the wild card.

It is beyond my wildest
expectations.

As a wild card there's even more
pressure to prove that I deserve

to be in the competition.
I've been training harder, I've

been training longer.
Make that note better, hold this

note longer.
Do it again.

It has to be right.

There are things in what I'll be
performing I've never attempted

before.
It's something I feel comes from

my soul.
Every note has to be perfect.

I feel like my parents took me

If I have one bit of criticism,

I wish you would have started
off quieter so the key change

would have been more dramatic,
'cause you can sing.

stars that you love have had to

overcome major obstacles.
That's what this musician has

had to do every day of his life.
He's Brian king Joseph.

my entire life has been

challenge after challenge.
My only constant has been my

violin, I don't know where I'd
be without it.

Growing up with a single mom
supporting a family of four,

it's not easy.
I had to play violin on the

street just to help feed my
family.

But when I was really playing,
you know, like really in the

vibe, I'd open my eyes and
there'd be like 20 people

standing there.
That's when I realized, this is

what I was born to do.
Music taught me, you got to

fight for who you are.
And it's exactly that mentality

that I'm bringing into the live
rounds.

Everything that I've been going
through in my life, you know,

being poor, me being sick and
having this nerve disease

prepared me for this performance
tonight.

I'm here to challenge myself to
be the person that I dream to

be.

And dance gave me my family.

school for children like us.
