Joyful, funny, surprising,

unpredictable,

but overall, the best talent
we've ever had.

- The talent is just amazing.

But what is up with how spooky
Season 13 is?

- [voice echoing]
Who caused the fire?

- Ms. Sacred Riana is spooky.

I said Bob.

She is like your nightmares
come to life.

[dramatic sting]

- Oh, my God.
[surprised chatter]

- [voice echoing] It is him.

Bobby's behind me.

[surprised chatter]

- Oh, my gosh, you got yes.

You're moving on to the

with our new friend.

- Talking about scary,
there's Aaron Crow.

Don't try this at home, kids.

- Watch out.

[suspenseful music]

[sword swishes]
- [screams]

these danger acts,

- I wasn't nervous at all
during that.

- What?

- When it comes to magicians,
I was a skeptic.

Until I started hosting "AGT."

That queen was everywhere.
It was disappearing.

It was reappearing.
It was on his chest.

Oh, God, no way.

Shut up.

- The first audition,
I got reactions

that I never expected
that I would get.

- That is the best sleight
of hand close-up magic

I have ever seen in my life.
- Thank you so much.

My entire life.
I've worked my entire life

for this opportunity.

- ♪ Dreaming of the payoff ♪

♪ Through the struggles
and the trade-offs ♪

- No! No!

- Magic is about presentation.

And we have people presenting
things

in ways we'd never seen before.

The bar has been raised.

- ♪ Got it all wrong ♪

♪ We just gotta gold on ♪

- Out of all the magicians
out there,

you the only one that
actually makes me believe

that magic can be possible.

- ♪ 'Cause we're
gonna be legends ♪

♪ Gonna get their attention ♪

- Drop the curtain.

- "AGT" is the biggest stage
in the world.

There's nothing else like this.

This is definitely
my childhood dream.

[dramatic music]

- What?
Shut up!

[cheers and applause]

- What?

- That was good.
- That was good.

- The great thing about "AGT"

is they stay ahead
of the times.

So, we're in this
technology boom,

as is the stage of "AGT."

[tense music]

♪ ♪

- We tried to, actually,
to push the limits.

Like, on the edge of technology
and creativity.

♪ ♪

- Yes.

- You crammed so much
into that,

it--it kind of blew my mind,
actually.

- With technology like it is,
you're watching something,

and you see something magical
happen through technology.

It's actually amazing.

[stirring music]

♪ ♪

- UDI is amazing.

Not only do the use technology,

but they tell a story.

- What just happened?

♪ ♪

I like the fact that
technology's taking over

the show a little bit,
because that is

what's happening in real life.

♪ ♪

- Ah.

- This is why we made the show
in the first place,

is so that acts like you could
have an opportunity to perform,

and that's what makes the show
interesting to me,

seeing something which I
wouldn't see anywhere else.

This was good.
This was really good, actually.

[cheers and applause]

- He's gonna drop her.

[tense music]

- You ain't seen nothing yet.

- I tried it myself
the other day.

I could do
an exact replicate of it.

all: ♪ [vocalizing] ♪

- Yes.
- Yay.

- What just happened?

- This is an audition
we're gonna remember

for a long time.

- We have so much fun here on

"America's Got Talent."

For example, Hans brings
a certain kind of pizzazz.

- America, hello.

My first audition,
I was expecting cheers,

I was expecting aberration.

What I was not expecting,

was to find somebody
who now has a crush on me.

♪ Big wheel keep on turning ♪

♪ Proud Mary keep on burning ♪

♪ All together
Rollin' ♪

- You know when you
watch a horror movie

and you shouldn't like it,
but you do like it?

That's kind of how I felt.

It was kind of like something
I shouldn't like,

but for some reason I did.

- ♪ Let's go ♪

I just wanna see this dream
continue for as long

as it can, darlings.

I can see myself at
the Dolby Theater, darlings.

I can see glitter, lights.

And the best thing about it

is when I get to
the Dolby Theater,

Simon will be
paying for it all.

Fantastic.

[ominous music]

- We make sound
with our bodies.

- You have to get
the right angle.

- [shushes]

[laughter]

- Our first audition

was a dream.

both: Feels so good.

- Not everyone loved us.

[buzzer]

Buzzer don't feel so good.

- Three yeses.

- We belong in the live show.

[cheers and applause]

[percussive music]

[belly flapping]

- Well, I think that some
talents are better

in the privacy
of your own home.

But not with you guys.

You guys have
to be on television.

both: Oh, feel so good.

[inspirational music]

- We have so much more
to show America.

- Proo-whap! Ata-ta-ta-ta-ta.
- Wah-ooh.

- And then there's
La Fontane Umane,

which means "Human Fountains,"
if you're paying attention.

- Performing at
"America's Got Talent"

in front of thousands
of people was amazing.

["My Heart Will Go On" playing]

I think we're still all
daydreaming about it.

- Oh.
[scandalized chatter]

- [shrieking]

- Oh, my God.

- There is nowhere
in the whole entire world

you would see this apart
from on this stage.

[music abruptly stops]

- The judges really like
the act, except for Simon.

all: [booing]
- Humph.

Shut up.
It's a no.

- Simon said this
was the stupidest thing

he'd ever seen.

Which, I don't think
he realizes

is the biggest compliment
to us.

[laughter]

[rousing music]

I--I disagree with Simon.

I--we're--we're much more than
just guys spitting water.

We're a little bit of a--
a fountain show.

An art piece if you will.

[scandalized chatter]

A comedy act.

All meshed in together.

I'm hoping he'll, uh--
he'll see it this time.

- And even though
they got a no at Judge Cuts,

they're a wild card
in the live shows.

- I think they're
really stupid.

- No, it was good.

[Cypress Hill's "Insane
in the Brain" playing]

♪ ♪

- It's so sweet to have

a regular high school
dance team on "AGT."

I felt like they were,
like, my friends

back when I was in high school

that got their dream to come
to "AGT," which is insane.

It's amazing.

[LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem"
playing]

- "America's Got Talent"
is for everyone.

It's not just for people
who are professional already.

You guys did very well,
so you should be

very proud of yourselves.

- We're just so excited
and so blessed to be here.

- We just feel like everything
we've worked and done

has paid off.

all: We're going
to the live shows.

- Who ever thought that you
could train a cat like a dog?

- Our first audition
was really incredible.

[dramatic music]

- Yes.

- We don't know what to expect
from the American audience.

But all four judges
loved our performance.

- I have never seen
a cat do that.

- Never?

- This year's all about cats.
They're so cute.

I wanna see them again.

America needs to vote for them.

- These cats love being
in spotlights.

- I really liked it,
'cause it made me smile.

It made me feel
all warm and fuzzy.

- Like cats.
- Like a cat.

- Yeah, exactly.

- Congratulations.

- If they win, they will buy

their own cat's apartment

with a fridge full of food.
[chuckles]

- Oh, my God, Season 13,
a black cat

just went across the hall.

[playful music]

That's not funny, people.

Or wherever it goes, I gotta--
it's going that way.

I'm gonna go that way too.

How come the black cat's

- What I love about "AGT"

is that it's a family show.

The whole family
can watch together.

And the whole family can
compete together too.

We've got brothers and sisters
competing together.

[stirring music]

- ♪ Honey, I thought you
should know ♪

♪ That I'm in a hurry ♪

- We Three really,
really touched me.

- Our original song

was about our mom who
passed away from cancer.

And it's a song that's
from her vantage point

in the last three months
of her life.

♪ Now you gotta
watch it leave ♪

♪ My eyes ♪

- I remember performing
a really intense moment

of the song.
I was really in it.

And then I remember looking up,

and everybody was standing.

It was like a dream.

- I saw Mel B start to cry
at one point.

- Well done.

- When I saw her
start to tear up,

I definitely got choked up and
had to kind of hold it back.

- I lost my father
over a year ago,

so I felt like that song was
just meant for me,

and my dad was singing that
to me.

So I--I just felt it.
I'm shaking.

It was really, really good.
Thank you.

- I honestly think we're at the
start of something big here.

- We've been through
a lot together,

and one main thing for us is we
just wanna make our dad proud.

- It's such an honor to play
at the Dolby Theater.

A year ago, I never would've
dreamed of playing there.

- Do you know how proud
your mom would be?

- Thanks, Dad.

Us the Duo,
Carissa and Michael,

are so adorable.
So in love.

- Since the audition,
we've been practicing a lot.

And we've been really busy.
Not only with music,

but...

- We're pregnant.

- You guys love each other
too much, in my opinion.

A little too much.

It was beautiful.

- Thank you so much.

- Music has always
been our dream,

but even bigger than music
has been starting a family.

When we get to the lives,
we gotta bring

so much more energy.
- Yeah.

We really gotta
step up our game.

- So we're gonna bring
better vocals.

We're gonna bring better music.

And we're gonna bring
a bigger belly.

- And then there's
Tyce and Mary,

who are these
beautiful acrobats.

- I'm legally blind
in my right eye.

One of the most important
sense to have,

especially doing what we do,
I don't have it.

[upbeat music]

- Whoa.

- Wow.

- It would be wonderful if we
could spend more time

with our son in one city.

And that's the hardest part
about it.

- God.

- [shrieks]
- Whoa.

all: [screaming, gasping]

- I--I got super emotional
because it was hard

to--to see her
fall the way she did.

I couldn't see it.
I knew I didn't have her

in my hand,
but I knew I'd dropped her.

I was so scared
that she was hurt.

[stirring music]

- The dream is to eventually
get a show in Vegas,

so that we can
support our family.

- It's not
"America's Got Perfection,"

this is "America's Got Talent."
No one can do this.

- And we might not have to
leave Jaxx at home anymore

if we can have
our own show in Vegas.

So to be through
to the live shows,

we're one step closer
to our dream.

- And then we have Glennis,

who gave up her dream
to make her son a priority.

But now it's her time
to live her dream.

I couldn't wait
to tell my son Tony

what happened on that stage,

Especially because
he gave me the--

the last push to do this.

And he was like,
"I knew it, Mommy.

"I knew it."
[laughs]

Yeah, that was beautiful.

♪ 'Cause I know that
living with me, baby ♪

♪ Was sometimes hard ♪

- Glennis, uh,
what's your son's name?

- My son's name is Anthony.

- Well, Anthony, I wanna say,
thank you

for letting your mom
come and do this show.

I mean, I really mean that.
- [laughs]

This is my dream,
and by being here,

I--I wanna tell my son that
anything is possible.

He pushed me to do that,

and I'm here to-- to show him.

- And then there's
Future Kings,

led by two brothers.

- Dance was the one thing that
we loved more than anything.

- So we started the
Future Kings dance crew.

- We wanted to do it
as a career

for the rest of our lives.

- But then, one day
my brother told my mom that

he was gonna be a father.

- I really wanted
to be there for my son

and for my family
more than anything.

But that meant I had to quit
the Future Kings.

- It's been four years since
we actually stepped on a stage

and performed together,
but when we decided to audition

for "America's Got Talent,"

I knew I could not come
without my brother.

Our audition was action-packed.

It was incredible.
It was awesome.

- Dancing on that stage
in our audition,

it was--it was insane.
The energy was crazy.

Our chemistry was on point.
The judges loved us.

The crowd loved us.
It was...

It was amazing.

To be here at Judge Cuts,
it--it's crazy.

- Whoa.

- This is the first time
that our mom

has seen us perform together
on stage in 4 1/2 years.

- 4 1/2 years.

- ♪ It's driving me ♪

both: ♪ Out of my mind ♪

- ♪ Miss her, kiss her,
love her ♪

- ♪ Wrong move, you're dead ♪

- To be back with my--my
brother again, my boys,

to be able to entertain again,

it's--it's a dream come true,
to be honest.

- [laughing]

- It's time for us
to step it out now.

And when we hit that stage,
it's gonna be a sonic boom.

You're gonna see us, hear us
everywhere all over the world.

is the place

where dreams come true.

every gender, every language,
every walk of life.

You can do it.

Anybody can do it.

The fame that
so many people want,

he tasted that.

He was on "Glee" for a while.

And then when that ended,

it seemed like
his career ended.

Until he got a chance
to come to "AGT."

My first audition, uh--
[chuckles]

was incredible.
Um, and I got no X sounds.

[laughs]
No buzzers.

Uh, so that was--
that was really nice.

- Sometimes
it's just about timing.

And maybe this
is your time now.

[cheers and applause]

- ♪ Like I been tied
to the whipping post ♪

- I don't even think we've come
close to realizing

how good you could be.
- ♪ To the whipping post ♪

♪ Good Lord,
it feels like I'm dying ♪

I wanna win
"America's Got Talent."

I'm chasing the dream.

[sweeping orchestral music]

- Mochi is so passionate.

You felt the hours
and the preparation

and the dedication
like we've never seen before.

[crowd cheers]

- You're sitting 10 feet

from somebody
who brings down the house.

You watch every dream come true
in front of you,

and you know in that moment,

not only is it great
in that room,

but their life
is changed forever.

[cheers and applause]

- I will never
forget that sound,

"Mochi, Mochi," in my life.

[electronic music]

Mochi, Mochi...

- I mean, I tried it
myself the other day.

I could do an exact replicate
of the routine.

We're Asian,
we could easily do it.

- Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.

[shrieking]

- Whoa.
[glass shatters]

- Whoa.

- And then there's Joseph.
So sweet, so shy.

- ♪ I've been alone with you
inside my mind ♪

I don't have a girlfriend.

I've actually been single
my entire life, so...

- No.
- Yes.

♪ A thousand times ♪

Despite me not having
the best performance

that I could've had,

the judges got behind me, and
they were very encouraging.

♪ Swept away in
the dead of winter ♪

♪ Is only when I cry out
for my lover ♪

♪ And I move along ♪

♪ I move along ♪

- I really do like your voice.
I think it's so hard to perform

under this pressure,

and I think what
we just saw with you there

is that you got this
fighting spirit in you.

I like that.

- Daniel has beautiful voice.

- Simon...

- Can I just stop this
for one second?

- He's like, "That's good, but
there's a song that I like."

- We're gonna tell you later on

I see him backstage pacing,

60 minutes later...

The first audition
was a rollercoaster.

It was every emotion
wrapped up in one.

- Whoo.

- Your singing is just out of--

it's just out of this world.

I could listen to that
all night long.

- Even though Daniel Emmet
got a no at Judge Cuts,

he's now back as a wild card
in the live shows.

- I don't even know
what you were saying,

but I was right there with you.
It was brilliant.

- Thank you.

- I love Vicki.
She's so relatable.

- Yesterday I had a lot
of nervous energy,

and I decided I'd go out to
Donnelly men's prison

if--for a conjugal visit.

And, uh, it turns out,

at Donnelly you have
to know somebody.

Is that horrible?
[laughter]

- She's a person that
was told, "Too old.

"Your time is done."

So for her to have
gotten that love,

this ballsy, tough comic

just turned to jelly.

- Vicki, Vicki,
you look emotional.

What're you thinking?

- That was just the nicest
thing that's, like,

ever happened to me,
pretty much, I think.

all: Aw.
[cheers and applause]

- This is the biggest
opportunity

I could've been given.
I'm so grateful for it.

I've worked all my life
to get here.

And this is my chance.

I got a new outfit.

at the hospice thrift store

of Beverly Hills.

My daughter, she's like,
"Mom, that is so gross.

"Hospice, ew.
What if somebody died in it?"

Right, well,
at least she died sexy.

[laughter]

- This is what this show
is all about.

since I've been on the show,

you meet the most
amazing people.

And the stories they tell you,
they are inspiring.

For me it's all about optimism.

It's about how you
overcome difficulties.

I can remember meeting Sam
like it was yesterday.

- This twitch gets me
in trouble.

My roommate came home
from work.

I was like,
"Our neighbor died."

[laughter]

[chuckles] He said,
"Did you kill him?"

[laughs]
I was like, "Nah."

[laughter]

- What an incredible guy
you are.

What a fantastic attitude
you've got to life.

You are funny, full stop.
I really, really like you.

This is what this show
is all about,

finding people like you,
if I'm being honest with you.

- Thank you.
- It really is.

- Thank you, Simon.
- Ah.

- To hear that kind
of praise from Simon,

it meant the world to me.

It was everything I had dreamed

that that first
audition would be.

Yo, this dude wanted
to fight me.

I was like, Bring it, I'm not
scared of anybody.

'Cause if you beat me up,

you're a dude that beat up
a dude with a disability.

[laughter]

And if I beat you up,
you just got your ass kicked

by a dude with a disability.

[laughter]

- The stories that we hear are
sometimes really sad.

But they're very real.

- When we were little,
we actually loved dancing.

Even though everything around
was telling me

that it was impossible.

I heard this little voice
in my heart,

"You can do huge things.
You can--you can achieve

"great things."

[upbeat music]

- Whoo!

Oh, yeah.

- ♪ Let's go ♪

- We're used to people
telling us

that we are not good enough,

so when we passed
the first audition,

we received
those amazing comments.

We just started dreaming that
it could be possible.

- I think that
I'm dreaming right now.

That's not real,
that's not real.

- Wake up.
- Wake up.

And if we win this...

No. When we win this,

it will change
our lives forever.

- Brian is a violinist
that has a nerve disease.

He knows that one day,

he will not be able to even
feel the violin in his hands.

- I think the only reason I'm
still able to play

is because I haven't stopped.

[upbeat violin music]

If being sick is my nightmare,

"AGT" was my dream.

It was the most amazing,

amazing moment of my life.

The place just went wild.

I remember, uh, thinking in
my head as I was playing,

"Oh, my God, this is happening.
Oh, my God, this is happening."

Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.

I used to be a little ashamed
of being sick.

I thought it made me
weaker than most people.

But being here on "AGT"

has shown me that I can come
with positivity

to show everybody a new look

at how to approach hard things
in your life.

- Going to the live shows.

- I'm going to the live shows.
- [laughs] What-what.

- Not only do we see talent,

but we get inspired
by people's stories.

- When I was 19 years old,

I decided I was gonna audition
for this big theme park.

I got a standing ovation from
all the other auditioners.

I was like,
Yes, like, this is it.

And right at the last cut, um,
they cut me.

And everyone was like, What?
So I went and asked.

I was like, you know, why?

And they said because
I wouldn't fit the clothes,

that they were already, like,
envisioning the costumes.

And I didn't have the look.
Oh, my God.

♪ Pride in our hearts ♪

- Yes.

- ♪ To lift us ♪

♪ Till tomorrow ♪

♪ 'Cause just to sit still ♪

♪ Would be a sin ♪

I finally felt like
I was doing exactly

what I was put on this
Earth to do.

- The real greats, you know,
you don't think about

how much they weigh,

they're just amazing,
bloody fantastic singers.

And you're one of those people.

- Oh, thank you.

My first audition was amazing.

I can die now.
[laughs]

I can die a happy woman.
Yeah, it was amazing.

"America's Got Talent" is
changing me as a person.

It's--it's renewing
my faith in myself.

And it's showing me to have
confidence in my talent.

Getting through
to the live shows

means that I'm

three years old,

she saw "America's Got Talent"
for the first time.

And she was just mesmerized.

And she wanted to go on this.

was amazing.

I have never experienced
anything like this

in my life.

She's inspirational.

You could be any age

even to 80.

Go out and do it.

You want something,
you gotta go after it, man.

You know, you say you
wanna inspire people

of a certain age,
but you inspired everybody.

- When I was a little girl
in Thailand,

remind me of why I love
hosting the show.

Genuinely,
I couldn't do these shows

if I didn't believe we were
gonna be launching careers.

Just be a waste
of everyone's time.

So yeah, I believe we're gonna
find someone great this year.

In fact, we have found
someone great already.

children with needs

and has adopted them, on top
of having this amazing talent

that is just other-worldly.

My children came out
of foster care.

When you're surviving
you can't dream.

One of the most rewarding
things

is providing them with
a home and a safe environment

where they're free to dream.

you never forget those moments.

And he sang so well,
and with such emotion.

And you know, I'm-- I'm a dad,

so I have a lot of respect
for what he's done.
