Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing (2023–…): Season 1, Episode 6 - Burned and On Notice - full transcript

Competing camps intensify tensions. Matt wins a meat challenge, Gary risks climbing for supplies, and Jeff faces setbacks and criticism.

[Woman 1] This is different.

[Man 1] This is something
we've never done before.

[Man 2] You gotta watch your
back for not just animals this time,

but for the other survivalists.

[Man 3] Ah!

[Screaming]

[Narrator] For
the first time ever,

12 of Naked and Afraid's
most skilled survivalists

are competing
head-to-head for 45 days

in the South African bush...

Whoo! [Chuckles]

[Narrator] ...To crown
the best of the best...

Yeah!

[Narrator] ...And win $100,000.

This is what I live for!

[Narrator] Failure
means elimination.

This challenge is so real.

[Narrator] Who will be
the last one standing?

Previously, on
last one standing...

The survivalists reached
a pivotal migration day...

Yeah, baby.

[Woman] Congratulations
on making it day 21.

When you reach
the fork in the road,

each of you must
chose a separate path.

[Narrator] ...Where
everything changed.

Oh, this looks like it, Gary.
We're going our separate ways.

[Gary] His feet isn't tied to my
anymore and mine isn't tied to his.

Yeah, boy!

[Cheering]

[Man] Total dream
team right now.

[Narrator] ...Leaving new
group dynamic unknown.

[Man] Gonna see who's
gonna come rolling up.

[Cheeny] You know,
it's Matt and I'll be happy,

or it'll be Jeff
and I'll be sad.

Fingers crossed?

[Dan] We are definitely
gonna freak the [bleep] out.

- [Waz] Matt's... Matt's coming this way.
- Is he... is he...

- [Dan] But... but what if Jeff takes it first?
- 100%.

We know it's either
gonna be Jeff or Matt.

So it's either gonna be this
massive win for our team

or a massive bump in the road

that we're gonna have to,
uh, figure out how to adapt to.

[Bleep]

And Jeff.

God damn it.

- [Gary laughs]
- [Sarah] It is what it is.

Oh, what's up, guys?

- Oh...
- [Gary] You made it.

[Jeff] Yeah, I made it. Took
the... took the right path.

- I guess.
- Evidently.

[Sighs] Happy to see you guys.

As I walk up into the
group here, no one is happy.

Cheeny's face says it all.

- [Gary] That's gotta be heavy.
- [Jeff] Yeah, it is.

- [Groans]
- [Jeff] Three hides.

- [Sighs] - [Gary] Remember,
Cheeny, he made a...

He made one like a carry bag.

- Uh, yeah, I just wrapped everything, yeah.
- [Gary] Smart.

[Jeff] Being stuck
with all these people

that have been talking
[Bleep] about me for weeks,

having to, like,
share my hides...

That sounds horrible to me.

[Groans]

[Steven] Yes!

[Waz laughs]

- Yeah, buddy!
- Yeah!

- Oh, you crazy sons of bitches.
- [Dan] Oh, my gosh!

- [Laughs]
- [Dan] Oh, my gosh!

- [Steven] Whoo!
- [Chuckles]

You know what
the hell that's about?

- [Jeff] Yeah.
- [Gary] Matt just arrived.

- [Chuckling] Yeah.
- [Sarah] Oh, that's what that's about.

Oh, my God!

Ah!

I got my crew together.
I got Amazon 2.0.

[Woman] Oh, my gosh!

- [Dan] Wonderful people!
- [Woman] Ah!

- Go, go, go.
- [Laughs]

- Whoo!
- [Dan] Oh, my God!

[Steven] We're
confident in our skillset.

We've been through
a lot together already,

and it's great for
me going to the end

to be the last one standing.

[Laughs]

[Bleep] Dream team, man.

- Whoo!
- Get in here.

- [Waz] Yeah, run the clock now.
- [Dan] Run the clock, Matt.

[Matt] Look at my
map, read this thing.

"Welcome to your
new survival location.

Here you will live
in one of two camps,

but you alone will
control your destiny."

"Collect your next
migration map on day 32."

[Sarah] 11 days, interesting.

- [Gary] We're here for 11 days.
- Whoa!

[Narrator] On their quest
to be the last one standing,

the remaining survivalists must
now prove they can work in groups

for a grueling 11
days at this location.

"Make your way
here on day 28." Okay.

[Cheeny] So, there'll be
something in the "X" on day 28.

So we got a week.

[Narrator] ...But will face-off
in a critical challenge on day 28

to further test
their primitive skills.

- That's big.
- [Gary laughing] Yeah.

[Narrator] Groups will spend
the next 11 days in zone four...

And area where herds of wild
game graze in the open savannas,

while venomous puff adders, black mambas,
and scorpions lurk beneath the marsh

of the valley floor.

"You'll share this marsh
with snakes and scorpions,

so your first task as a team
is to build a sleeping platform

to get your entire
group off the ground."

[Narrator] Each group must
build an elevated sleeping platform

with a constructed
rectangular surface

raised at least two
feet above the ground

to support the combined
body weight of the entire group.

Only upon completion will the
competitors be allowed to search

the area for new survival tools.

- [Sarah] Okay.
- [Cheeny] Yup.

- So, we're gonna have to get up off the ground.
- Mm-hmm.

[Sarah] It's gonna
be interesting.

I say we come up to an agreement

of getting four Ys
about two feet tall.

Ys and then we... We make slats,

and just put 'em
all straight across.

[Sarah] Yeah, I
think that will work.

So, uh, we'll start
cutting Ys, uh, Jeff,

two feet tall, at
the Y part, right?

- [Jeff] Okay. Yeah.
- Okay.

- [Cheeny] I wanna see where the bamboo is.
- Yeah.

All right, well, let's
walk down that way.

[Matt] Four legs. We all
must be able to lay on it.

[Waz] And we can't go
anywhere till we've built this.

- Yeah, right.
- [Dan] I'm cutting all these down.

Somebody come and
pull 'em down for me

- while I'm climbing up.
- [Waz] Yeah, yeah.

We need four Y
branches as well, so...

[Steven] I got a Y right here.

The expertise, experience
and... and true bushcraft skills

on this team is phenomenal.

Without even talking, hardly
even a word, we all know

what we're gonna be
doing and what we're getting.

- [Waz] Should I tie on this?
- [Steven] Yeah.

- Like that. One this way.
- [Matt] Yeah.

[Steven] Well, the best thing
about a raised platform in survival

is it keeps the
creepy-crawlies of you.

And also, uh, the... The ground
will absorb a lot of your body heat.

So when you are off
the... off the ground,

it helps you maintain
your core temperature.

You don't think the girls saw us

and decided, uh,
let's go home, do you?

[Both laugh]

[Jeff] This group dynamic,
it's clearly not what I preferred.

I preferred to
continue being solo.

However, uh, part of survival is
to improvise, adapt and overcome.

And in 11 days, I'm gonna
overcome this group situation.

[Cheeny] Jeff leaves
Matt the last three weeks.

[Sarah] We're gonna be
holding him accountable.

- Like, 100%.
- [Cheeny] Yeah.

[Sarah] And he's
gotta either deal with it

- or he's gotta leave.
- [Cheeny] Yeah.

If Jeff pulls [bleep]
barter [bleep]...

- [Sarah] Oh, [bleep] Him!
- ...We cut his nuts off.

[Sarah] Thank you.

[Cheeny] I'm sick
of Jeff's [bleep].

He uses people to
get what he wants.

Well, this is our bamboo.

- Let's start cutting?
- Yeah.

[Cheeny speaking]

...that is selfish and he's
gonna bring the team down.

I've met people
like Jeff before,

he's manipulative and I
can see it when I talk to him.

I don't trust him.

[Sarah] Dealing with Jeff
is a chore in and of itself,

but we gotta put that
thought on the back-burner

because our first priority
is making that platform.

Pressure is on, you know,

as soon as these
platforms are built,

everyone's going out to go
look for the different items.

[Waz] Yeah, buddy.

[Matt] Yeah, one
more, Dan, we're solid.

[Dan] Here you go.

[Matt] We are just about four
of the biggest guys out here.

It's a lot of weight.

This bed's gotta hold
twice the amount of weight

that the other bed for
the other team has to hold.

- We stick these on here like this.
- Yeah.

- Just lay 'em on the top.
- They're gonna be solid.

[Matt] We're good at building

and we're good at crafting.

But, uh, will it hold
all our heavy asses?

We'll find out.

[Dan] Hey, y'all, I've got a question,
are you guys ready to spoon?

- [Matt] Yes.
- [Laughs]

Tell you what, there's no other
three men on the freaking planet

- I'd rather spoon with.
- [All laugh]

I could pick a few.

[Steven and Dan laugh]

- [Dan] Let's do this.
- All right.

One at a time?

- [Waz] We're good.
- All right. The big boys.

Gentle, gentle way.

- All right.
- Slow and steady.

- Slow and steady.
- Slow and steady.

[Dan] Gently, gently.

[Steven] Dan, get in here.

- [Matt] Gently, gently.
- [Steven] Gently.

- We did it.
- Whoa!

That was some teamwork.

[Dan] The four of us, we
know how to communicate,

we know how to work
well and work efficiently.

And we completed this
platform in, like, no time, flat.

So now we're able to
go look for the caches.

[Narrator] Zone four features
an array of hidden survival tools...

Suspended high
above the forest canopy,

buried along the open plains,

and sunk beneath
the river's rapids.

- [Steven] I say, three of us go for the meat.
- [Dan] Uh-huh.

What do you think, Matt? Wanna
go for the meat with Steve and I?

- [Matt] Yeah, we could.
- [Dan] Okay.

[Matt] Track a blood trail
through a new hunting ground.

[Narrator] In an open
savanna, leopards utilize trees

as the only protection
offered for their meals,

carrying their kills safely
out of scavengers' reach,

leaving a blood trail
for survivalists to track.

[Matt] Where we're at
is just... just up the hill...

- [Dan] Yeah.
- ...To the side here.

[Dan] Okay.

- You go for the fishing.
- [Waz] Yeah.

I'm gonna go for a swim.

This migration alone burn
a lot of calories and energy,

but this has been a very
physical challenge as well.

That food cache is the most
important asset we have out here.

- [Gary] Yeah.
- [Jeff] Taller one here.

Oh, this might
work. There we go.

That Y is in there solid.

[Gary] Look at that. We should
work on getting straight pieces.

[Jeff] Yeah.

And just put 'em
all straight across.

Straight. [Vocalizing]

- Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah.
- Yeah.

[Gary] These could actually
be used right here, maybe.

- One like this. See that one...
- [Waz] Hey!

[Gary] ...Going up
in the middle there?

- What's up, buddy?
- [Waz] How are we doing?

We finished at exactly the same
time. We could hear you guys.

[Jeff] Oh, we didn't finish.

[Waz] Oh, you didn't finish?

- I thought we heard you guys.
- [Jeff] Oh, no.

No, we're... we're
still... We're still building.

[Waz] Oh.

All right, guys, good luck.

[Jeff] They're already
looking for items.

[Gary] So hey, here... Here's
a straight one right here, Jeff.

[Jeff] If we wanted
to build it fast,

we could literally
get it done right now.

Where are the girls?

[Gary] Tell me when you're
done cutting those, Jeff.

You wanna switch
off with that silky saw.

So, they... those are only
two long ones we need.

And then we just
need crossbeams?

- Yeah, I have another long one.
- [Jeff] And they...

- okay.
- Here, let me see that real quick.

And we can start building it and then we
just have to lay some quick crossbeams.

- [Gary] Yeah, right?
- [Jeff] Yeah.

[Gary] Let me
see that silky saw.

We need to know
where the girls are.

Ah, [bleep].

Ugh.

I need a medic.

- [Gary] Huh?
- [Jeff] I just cut myself pretty bad, gar.

[Gary] Oh, [bleep].

[Jeff sighs]

[Jeff] I need stitches.
It's, uh... it's gnarly.

[Gary] Okay, [bleep]. Here.

I'll be all right. We're
almost done with this thing.

I was doing very well alone.

And now, I'm sitting here
with my bloodied cut up hand

praying that none of
the muscles or tendons

were torn and cut,

because my challenge
would end here.

[Jeff] Are there
any nerves or...

[Jeff] Oh, okay. Okay.

This is a massive
setback for me,

and it's delaying me from
getting out and finding items,

which has been my primary
strategy the entire challenge.

[Male medic speaking]

[Jeff] That's good.

If it's as clean as it is
painful, we're doing great.

[Matt] Track a blood trail.

It's gonna be up here right on
the other side of some orange tree.

Looking at it from right here.

- [Steven] Yeah.
- We're at this corner.

Zip across here
and it should be...

[Steven] Find that orange
tree and we'll find the food.

Me and Sarah
found the first impala.

It was... it was... It,
like, six feet in a tree.

Let's do a little, like, stay
in line right through here.

- [Steven] Look for blood.
- [Matt] I am.

[Cheeny] Well, this isn't good.

[Sarah] Right here.

Yeah, go ahead, put this down.

[Jeff] Hey, there you girls are.

[Cheeny] Found the bamboo.

- What happened?
- [Jeff] Oh, I cut myself.

- I need stitches.
- Ah, [bleep].

Uh, but forget that.
So, Gary's over here.

The framework is almost done.

[Gary] See, it's almost built.

- [Sarah] Whoo!
- [Cheeny] Yeah, we got the bamboo.

[Sarah] Yeah, we got
everything you need to finish it.

Even if I have to stop
them to jump on that, I will,

um, just so we can get it done,

- and then we can try to find some stuff.
- Yeah.

Jeff's gotta get stitches.
That's no fun for anyone.

Even if, you know, you
don't really get along with him.

But it also means that
we're down a teammate,

so we don't wanna lose a guy
'cause it's nice to have the help.

As you feed it into
me, I'll just lay it across.

Here, put it over this side.

Just... yeah.

Set it there and I'll get it.

This kicks butt.

Look at that.

Jeff, get over here.

[Jeff] Coming

so we all have to lay
on this and then we're in.

- Jeff, you lay close to the edge.
- [Jeff] Yeah.

[Gary] So it makes
leverage proper.

And, uh, let's all lay down.

Oh, that ain't going nowhere.

- All right!
- [Jeff] Good, wonderful. Good job, guys.

Go get that stitched up.

[Jeff] I'll be back
in the game asap.

- [Sarah] Okay.
- [Gary] Let's, uh, I guess get off

and get to real business.

- [Sarah] Yep.
- [Cheeny] Yeah.

We're gonna go explore.

[Gary] The other team got
their, uh, stand built before us.

They're already
looking for items.

[Sarah] Let's go.

[Cheeny] Time is of the essence.

[Gary] I'm just trying
to rush out of his sight.

- [Cheeny] Yeah. [Softly] Fair enough.
- [Gary] Okay?

- We're still on the same team, right?
- [Sarah] Yeah.

[Cheeny] I just don't
want him to find stuff

and then I know
he's not gonna share,

- he's not gonna [bleep] share.
- [Gary] no, I know.

- Believe me, I'm... We're... we're in there.
- [Sarah] Amen.

[Gary] The group
dynamic is interesting

because there will
be a new challenge,

new dynamic, new communication.

I don't know what's coming
next, I can't even predict.

I'm just trying not
to ruffle any feathers.

I... I wanna get
along with everyone.

Yep, I feel that.

When Matt cut his finger,
everyone built his shelter for him.

But my partners are gone.

They don't even tell
me where they're going,

what item they're
going to search for,

zero communication.

They all probably
hate my guts...

But, uh, this is 11-days here.

That's a long time.

I have to do whatever it takes
to make this partnership work

and not burn to the ground
like a massive building fire.

- [Dan] Orange tree.
- [Steven] Found the orange tree?

[Dan] Yeah.

[Steven] We're right
on the orange tree.

So it's just a matter
of finding any sign.

- I'll go left just to...
- [Dan] Figure a game trail here.

[Matt] Looking for what
the blood trail might look like.

Okay, all right.

I'm spotting blood.

[Dan] Blood on the ground?

[Matt] I'm smelling
an animal's been out.

[Dan] We're right where
it starts, here somewhere.

I'm so excited.

Oh, got it, guys.
Got it, got it.

- Whoo!
- [Steven] Yeah?

- [Matt] Got it. I smelled it.
- [Steven chuckling] Yeah!

- [Dan] Yes! Yes!
- I smelled that sucker.

- [Dan] Whoo!
- [Steven] Whoo!

[Dan] Ooh, she's bigger, too.

We just found the cache, baby.
We just found the meat cache.

[Laughs and screams]

[Laughs]

[Dan] You and your smells.

Ain't no animal get
away from me yet.

[Steven] Yeah. [Laughs]

The savage here
can find some game.

My hunter sense tells
me, "go through the bush,

look up where the
wind was coming from."

Boom, impala in a tree.

Oh, see how heavy that is.

- Whoo!
- Yeah!

[Laughs]

To have that meat is huge.

It makes us stronger to get
to the end of this competition.

[Both screaming]

- [Laughing]
- Whoo! That's right!

That's how we roll.

Meat on the pole.

[Steven and Dan screaming]

- [Steven] Whoo!
- [Dan] Yeah!

[Jeff] I can hear
some folks cheering.

They're gonna be very
busy the rest of the day.

- Okay.
- [Male medic speaking]

- Yeah.
- [Male medic] Okay?

[Gary] Yeah, I heard,
"yeah!" Like way down here.

[Sarah] I knew that the boys were
gonna go after the hunting grounds.

[Gary] So, where
are we at? Right here?

[Cheeny] We're,
like, right in here.

Seek higher ground to
spot this towering tree

which a double cache.

[Sarah] Go see where
this double cache is at.

[Gary] Seek higher ground, okay.

[Sarah] Look at
the contour lines.

[Cheeny] Elevation's going up.

[Sarah] So if we follow that
trail up, we'll find our tree.

[Gary] Let's go. We wanna
be the ones that own it.

[Waz speaking]

Fast flowing rivers like
this with rocks underneath,

there's a lot of
challenge-ending risks out there.

It would be so easy
as you're floating down

to accidentally get
your leg stuck in a hole,

the water keeps pushing you

and your leg's just gonna snap

in between a couple of rocks.

Uh, so I've gotta be careful.

But I'm a spear
fisher, I'm a free diver

and so I'm super
comfortable in the water.

This one?

This is the one.

[Exhales]

Jesus Christ.

Come on.

[Chuckles] Always.

- [Sarah] Let's see.
- [Gary] Seek higher ground.

[Sarah] There's not
much higher to go.

So, I don't know if they're
gonna be back in... in here.

[Sarah] Where's that tree?

- [Cheeny] Oh, [bleep].
- [Sarah] What?

[Cheeny] See that wicked tall
tree right there with the white bark?

That's a big tree.

[Gary] Oh, yeah, baby.

Good eye.

What's that hanging off that...
that angled branch this way.

[Sarah gasps]

Nice spot!

[Cheeny] This is
the [bleep] tree.

[Sarah] This is
the [bleep] tree.

Even a blind squirrel
finds a nut, baby.

[Gary] And pelts, you guys.

[Sarah] Oh, my gosh,
like, what is in this cache?

We could see that
there's at least a hide...

Which is exactly what
Cheeny and I need.

And there's a bunch
of arrows sticking out.

But that is always up there.

[Gary] Hey, Sarah, I
think I could climb that tree.

I'm gonna put the Y end on that.

Check it out.

Here.

I've had to climb on
this challenge already.

But this one is up higher

which makes it that much harder,

that much more dangerous.

It takes actual real skill

but... I'm an expert.

[Sarah] Hey, Gary,

we do have other options?

- [Gary] Yeah.
- Including strapping that saw

to a piece of bamboo?

[Gary] I could get it.

If that's a risk you wanna
take, Gary, that's on you.

I've got about
50 different ideas

about how we can obtain that

that don't involve
such personal risk.

But climbing's more of his game,

so we immediately
start working together

because he needs
a major support.

- [Gary] Here we go.
- [Cheeny] All right.

[Woman] The scenery.

- [Cheeny] Can you grab the bottom?
- [Sarah] Yep, got it.

- [Cheeny] Step on my shoulders if you need to, Gary.
- [Gary] Ready?

[Cheeny] Yeah.

- [Gary grunting]
- [Woman] Oh, boy.

[Woman] Now, what?

[Woman clears throat]
We hold this thing.

[Woman] It's gonna be so much...

- [Sarah] You good?
- [Gary]...

- [Sarah] You good?
- [Gary] No.

[Cheeny] Nope, not over.

- [Gary] Keep holdin' it.
- [Sarah] Yeah, we're holdin' it.

- [Gary groaning]
- [Cheeny] Yup.

[Gary] Hold on.

[Woman] Oh, boy!

- [Woman] Oh.
- [Gary] Give me...

A machete.

[Cheeny] Yeah, I got this
one. Give him the machete.

[Sarah] Okay, okay, okay.

- [Gary] Right here.
- [Sarah] Yeah. Got you.

[Gary] Toss it straight up.

Right here.

Work... wait, get...

Let it go right here.

[Sarah] Ah, good catch.

Oh, boy. Gary.

You're really making me
so nervous, dude. [Grunts]

[Woman grunts]

[Gary groans]

- [Sarah] Oh!
- [Gary grunts]

[Gray grunting]

[Gary groans]

[Sarah] Gary, how you doin'?

[Gary exhales]

Push on this tree.

This one.

- [Sarah] This one right here?
- [Gary] Get behind it

- and push towards the tree like this.
- [Sarah] Okay.

[Gary] Push.

[Sarah groaning]

[Sarah] It'll break
my back. [Exhales]

[Gary groans]

[Sarah groans]

[Sarah] You got it, Gary.

[Gary] Climbing the
tree and I'm trembling

just from using my
strength to hold me up

and swing a machete
at the same time.

It's exhausting.

- [Gary groans]
- [Sarah] You got it.

There you go.

- [Woman 1] Reach.
- [Woman 2] Whoo!

- [Cheeny] Yeah.
- [Sarah] All right.

[Woman speaking indistinctly]

- [Sarah] Yeah!
- [Gary exhales] There.

[Woman howls]

- [Cheeny] Whoo!
- [Sarah] Tarzan.

[Gary] All right. We did it.

I did not expect us to even
get a win like this today.

More arrows?

- Yeah.
- Yee-haw.

More arrows.

How many pelts?

[Sarah] Oh!

- [Cheeny] Two pelts.
- [Gary] Two pelts.

- Ha ha!
- How much pelts we have as a camp now?

- [Sarah] Cheeny...
- We don't have to be cold.

Ended up finding
arrows and two pelts.

[Groans]

[Cheeny] So now I don't
need to rely on Jeff for anything.

Looks like someone's
sleeping more comfortable

- than they were... Thought they were tonight.
- Oh my God!

It was just automatically
understood.

These are yours, girls.

I didn't debate over it.

I didn't say, "hey, I
climbed the tree. I get one."

Give me a hug. Come
on, this is hug material.

- [All] Mmm-hmm.
- [Gary] Oh, man.

- [Sarah] You're the man, Gary.
- [Cheeny] Yeah.

- [Gary kisses]
- [Sarah] Hmm.

You guys are awesome.
You girls are awesome.

I am playing that
long game of sharing.

And it has a lot of potential.

- We got it girls.
- [Cheeny] Good win for the day.

[Man] Are we good right here?

[Man] We put it right there.

[Man] Yeah.

Oh my God.

[Man] This is beautiful.

[Man] I'll just covered
his, uh, neck up a little bit.

I don't trust anybody.

No if, and, or
buts that it's ours.

We'll sort it later.

[Matt] Today's a win, but
we have to stay focused.

And now is no time to slow down.

It's like a chess game out here.

And we don't want Jeff
to get an advantage.

So right now we need
to find these items

before Jeff.

[Man] What's... what's on
the map next while we're hot?

[Matt] Identify trees where
leopards or porcupines left their mark.

[Narrator] The African
bush is scattered

with signs left by the
animals that live here.

Leopards scratch trees
to mark their territory...

And porcupines eat bark

as a staple of their
vegetative diet.

Survivalists must locate
each animal's markings,

connect the dots
between the matching trees

and dig at the midpoints

to find the survival
tools buried below.

[Man] Find the midpoint
between matching scars

and dig for survival tools
in the gully below the pond.

[Man] Yeah, the pond's up there.

[Man] If we go, uh,
like, kinda north-west...

- From that little pond...
- [Man] Yeah.

[Matt] All right, so
right now I'm looking

for scratches... on trees.

Could be porcupine...

Other one's gonna be leopard.

And equal distance between 'em

is gonna be the cache, so...

It, uh... this almost
looks like, uh,

the tree's got some
scratches on it.

Nope, son.

Sonny.

[Steven] Nope, there's nothing.

It's harder than it looks.

It's definitely
harder than it looks.

[Matt] Could be anywhere
around here. We're pretty low still.

Could be right up there.

[Jeff] Seek higher ground

to spot this towering tree

with a double cache.

I'm finally done
getting stitched up.

So I'm going to
go search for items.

But I'm about 30 minutes

behind all my competitors.

My partners didn't say anything

before they took off.

And I was getting my stiches

so I don't know where they went

or what they were looking for.

So I'd just have to
wing it and go for it.

Clearly, they want to go out

and find these
caches without me.

They're not gonna
give anything to me.

So I need to collect
everything I can.

No way, that's
gotta be the tree.

That's exactly the tree.

I see the motherfreakin' tree.

It's definitely the tree.

I would be surprised
if my partners

have not found this already.

These logs are clearly
already cut down

and leaned here.

And the burlap sack looks...

Looks ripped open.

It... I mean, it looks clearly

like someone's
already been here.

So I have to keep looking.

Well, I can't get
my left hand to work

so fishing asset ones are out.

I'm gonna go after this one.

So for every pinkie width,

that's 25 paces.

Keep an eye for
these trails here.

[Matt] So looks like the legend
on that map's pretty close

with the drop in elevation.

Say a halfway between here

and the far tree line.

Should be only about
200 feet this way.

Check that tree
right there, buddy.

- [Steven] This side of it?
- [Matt] Yeah, this side over here.

I can't tell from here.

[Steven] Well,
looks like scratches.

[Matt] That is definitely,
like, hundred percent?

[Steven] Yeah, check it out.

Like it's...

[Matt] That's about a... As leopard
scratch as you could ever ask for.

Hey, Dan, we got...

- [Man 1] We got some soap...
- [Man 2] Fine.

[Matt] Where you
at, Dan? Stay there.

[Steven] We got the
leopard scratch here.

So there should be another...

- [Matt] Another scratch.
- [Steven] ...Scratch between here

and the tree line.

[Dan] Okay.

[Matt] Look all the
way around it too.

I... I don't think so.

Super prominent.

[Dan] I'm having no luck.

Just...

Doing circles around the same
exact spot, not finding anything.

[Matt] Oh, it's gonna be
just downhill from the pond.

- [Dan] Nothing?
- [Matt] We just gotta keep searching trees.

[Matt] Oh, see. That's
a porcupine chew.

Hey, guys. Yip, yip, yup, yup.

Porcupine chew.

We just found the two.

- We need to find...
- [Man] Need two more.

[Man] Porcupines
low, leopards high.

- [Man 1] Yup. Yeah.
- [Man 2] All right.

I'll check these out.

[Man] Any sign
of the other guys?

- [Man 1] No.
- [Man 2] I haven't heard anything.

I haven't seen...

They might still be,
like, making their bed.

[Man] They might
still be making the bed,

they might be looking for the...

[Steven] Oh, yeah?

They might be.

[Steven] Don't really know a
whole lot about, uh, the other team.

They've been kinda incognito.

But, I know Jeff.

I know Jeff better
than anybody out here.

He's playing the game.

Hunting for caches.

So we have to problem
solve it as quickly as possible.

[Matt] I'm looking for
now is porcupine chew.

Got it.

Got it over here.

Hey, guys. Got the
porcupine chew over here.

[Steven] Okay.

[Matt] Find the midpoint
between matching scars

and dig for survival tools.

[Steven] Okay, I'll stand
by the first porcupine tree.

Matt's gonna go in the middle.

[Matt] Roger that, I'm gonna...

I'm gonna segue to between it.

Okay. Little more.

[Matt] Yip, yip, yip.

- [Steven] Keep it on.
- [Dan] Go, go, go, go.

- [Steven] Keep going.
- [Dan] Go, keep it on.

[Steven] That's midpoint.

[Matt] Roger, Roger.

Look for any disturbed ground.

[Man] It's gonna be right
in this freaking spot, man.

[Man] Oh, yeah.

[Matt] Hey, guys.

I got one item.

- [Steven] You found it?
- [Matt] Yup.

- I looked. I started digging down.
- Super soft.

Get the [bleep] out.

- [Steven laughing] Yeah!
- [Dan] Yeah.

Steven, you don't
have a hide yet. Boom.

- Yeah, nice. Whoo!
- No questions asked, buddy.

[Dan] Matt is a
genius at tracking.

He sees a soft
spot in the ground

lo and behold, pull out a hide.

But it's just a
quarter piece of hide.

[Matt] Dig rake here by
your foot for just a second.

- [Man 1] That's pretty soft.
- [Man 2] Oh, that's kinda soft.

[Man 1] That's super soft.

- [Steven] Yeah! There it is.
- [Man] Oh!

- All right.
- Nice.

Find another soft spot pull
out another quarter piece.

[Man] Yeah.

- That's three... Three quarters.
- Get 'em.

- [Dan] Three quarters. Now you're right there, Matt.
- I bet there's one, like,

right here, right there.

Dig...

- There...
- Oh, wow.

That's a whole hide.

[Laughs] This
is... This is crazy.

- Dude!
- That's a whole hide.

[Dan] There are two
more pieces of hide.

To make one full hide...

Which is a... A pretty big win.

Stich 'em maybe together,

- make... oh, so huge.
- Yeah, stitch them together.

- Whatever, dude. You're gonna put it.
- I totally gotta get

some shoes now.

We still have the
other cache out here

right between the
two leopard scratches.

[Steven] All right, I
got the other leopard.

[Dan] Leopard?

[Steven] Yeah, this is
total leopard right here.

You got it.

Matt, we found the second scars.

[Man] Look for any
disturbed ground.

[Man] There's gonna
be a spot, just like that.

See this looks like a
freaking spot right here.

It has to be something.

[Man] You guys keep digging.

[Man] Yup, something
sounds weird.

I feel like a chicken
pecking for feed right now.

What's up, guys?

[Man] Go now.

We're having a
digging party, eh?

[Jeff] We're having
a digging party, eh?

Yeah.

[Matt] Oh, we found four things

and we're...

We just don't know if...

That's it.

- So we're digging.
- [Jeff] Gotcha.

- 'Cause I'm not sure, you had to dig dig.
- Oh, okay.

[Matt chuckles]

- Oh, really?
- [Matt] Like, legit dig.

- Oh.
- It could be somewhere between...

Dan, that tree, this tree, in...

And, uh...

[Jeff] I know they're not
being straight with me.

They say, "oh, we found...

Couple pieces of hide,

we don't know if
there's more or not."

So, I heard you guys
found something earlier?

- Yeah, yeah, we found a... Found a meat cache.
- [Man] We got...

- You did?
- [Matt] Yup.

- Hell, yeah.
- [Matt] Yup.

- What about you guys? Did you find some stuff here?
- [Jeff] Yeah, so, does that...

Does that mean we're
all eating tonight or?

- I don't think so.
- [Jeff] All right.

[Matt] Uh, if you would've given
some hides out and sharing love...

We'd have shared
love, but, you know, hey,

you playin' a
different game, we...

We're playing by your rules.

This is a competition.

I... I'm not just gonna
give the other team the ball

because, you know, they're, uh,

they're not happy at the moment.

Don't need anyone else's meat.

When they get the
meat, then, don't eat it.

Okay.

[Waz] Jeff's not
contributing back to the group

he's only taking from it, so,

uh, we're not gonna give
him anything anymore.

Everyone here knows that
I'm their greatest competitor.

They won't admit it,

but look at their actions.

Who are they trying to get
eliminated from this challenge?

Me.

What kind of
animal did you find?

Yeah, a little impala.

That was a small male impala.

Oh, okay. Right on.

They want to break
me down emotionally.

[Chuckles] They must
not know me very well.

Because this ain't
gonna touch me.

This lights a fire under me.

To be the last one standing.

And you know what?

I'm gonna hold that
trophy up so high

they can see every
inch of that baby.

Well, guys, you guys
were on this one first,

so I think I'm gonna go.

[Matt] All right,
buddy. Good luck.

[Man] Just have
a good day, buddy.

[Jeff] All right, you
guys too. Congrats.

[Man] Surprised to see
him move on like that.

[Man] Let me go back to camp.

[Man] Oh, yeah. I don't trust...

I don't trust anybody.

[Dan] Jeff is wondering around

and now we have this
giant impala in our hands.

But we need to get
there as soon as possible.

[Dan] We could always scream
like we found this last cache,

get everyone off the trail
and come back tomorrow.

Yeah, let's do that.

All right, you
start it off, Dan.

[Howls]

- You find it?
- Got it.

- [Man 1 laughing]
- [Man 2] You got it? Nice!

[Man howls]

[Indistinct shouting
in the distance]

[Matt] Come on over here.

- [Man 1] Whoo!
- [Man 2] Yeah!

All right, let's
go back to camp.

Got it.

[Dan] We know it's
there. We know it's safe.

We know it's not gonna
get taken by Jeff or anything

and we can go get our
cap solid through the night.

[Howling in the distance]

[Narrator] With the
two sets of pelts,

arrows, and scavenged
meat being found,

only two items remain.

[Gary] Yeah, I'mma
clear this out a little bit.

- Yeah, I mean, for tonight?
- Yeah.

[Jeff] Hey, what's up, team?

- [Sarah] We were wondering where you were, Jeff.
- Yeah.

- They each got a pelt.
- [Jeff] Oh, nice. Okay.

[Jeff] And these are big.

[Sarah] Yeah,
they're wildebeest.

[Jeff] Good job!

Guess I... guess I'm sharing

one of my pelts with you then?

- Yeah?
- Oh, yeah. Right on.

- Right on.
- [Jeff] Yeah, and, then we all...

All have a pelt in
this team, that's cool.

[Sarah] After seeing
that Cheeny and I

both obtained hides,

Jeff was very quick to offer
one of his hides to Gary.

And part of me wonders

if it's maybe because
he's being manipulative?

But I guess we're gonna
just have to wait and see.

[Jeff] I'm very happy for you.

- Genuinely, great job.
- [Speaking indistinctly]

[Sarah] Mmm-hmm. Hmm.

And we need a fire going...

- And this water boiling.
- Okay.

[Sarah] Do you wanna
just help me with the fire?

[Jeff] Oh, sure.

I've never been so grateful

for other people
to find an item.

I've been stressing all day

about how I'm going to work

in this partnership

with three hides to myself.

This has just released

so much pressure
off my shoulders.

This is the best
news of the day.

- [Gary] Right there. Yeah.
- [Sarah] Whoo!

[Jeff] All right. Cool.

[Matt] Hell, yeah.

[Steven] Meat's real nice.

[Matt] It's not spoiled.

There's no mess
of blood clotting.

[Matt] Both hind
legs and front legs

are gonna be hung
over top of the fire.

The fire smoke is gonna
seal it off from the bugs,

keeping anything
from getting to it,

so that we can make
biltong from that later.

Built a tripod to hang
the meat over the fire.

- [Man 1] Yeah.
- [Matt] This keeps the bug off of it.

[Man] Yeah.

- [Man] All right.
- [Waz] It's meat on a pole right there, boys.

[Man] Oh, there is Waz.

Were you underwater
this whole time?

- [Waz] Yeah.
- [Man] You found it?

[Waz] No, sir. No.

I probably spent a little
bit too long doing that.

I'm a little bit cold.

That, uh, water is
extremely difficult.

It gets bad eight
to ten feet deep

and it's just rocks on rocks.

[Man] We got some hides
and, uh, we got that impala.

[Waz] But you guys...
You guys killed it.

Gettin' this thing.

- [Man 1] Yeah.
- [Man 2] Yeah.

[Waz] Good job, boys. Good job.

I got lucky that Matt, Steven
and Dan are in my camp.

And, uh, it's a massive
advantage in this competition.

[Man] Hey, I can
get the fire started.

I'll do that right now.

[Waz] I'm gonna
just get firewood.

[Matt] As we've been
doing this challenge,

it's been established

that there's seven
of us out here

that are willing to
share with each other.

[Man] That is a fire.

This meat is... it's not mine.

It's not our group's.

It's all seven of ours.

And tonight, all
of us will sit around

and have that feast.

[Man] Go team, go.

[Man] I like that
the ground is so flat.

My last camp was on a hill.

[Sarah laughs]

[Sarah] Okay.

[Man] I'm not
gonna climb for you.

[Man chuckles]

- [Man 1] Waz, you hear that?
- [Man 2 whistling]

[Hooting]

- [Man] Classic and good. Oh!
- [Hooting in the distance]

[Woman laughs]

[Man] We done or what?

[Woman 1] Hi.
Nope. [Woman 2] No.

[Man] Put this lot here.

[Indistinct conversation]

All three of my partners...

Uh, just disappeared.

I'm not an idiot.

They all snuck over

to the other camp

and they're all eating
impala meat together.

Leaving me...

Over here hungry and...

Um, completely left out.

[Waz] Day 21, done.

The savage kitchen
is open for business.

- [Howling]
- [Laughs] Ready!

- Oh my gosh!
- [Woman] Oh, my gosh... Oh, this is genuinely amazing.

That's good, baby.

[Man] Oh, yeah.

- [Man 1] Oh, ho, ho.
- [Man 2] All righty.

Gordon Ramsay
would be impressed.

- [Man 1 laughs]
- [Man 2] I just want a leaf.

[Man] Whoo!

- [Man 1 laughs]
- [Man 2] Whoo!

[Indistinct conversation]

[Man] [Echoing]
Find a light right here.

[Man howling]

This is got to be...

One of the coldest
acts... Ever done

on a Naked and Afraid challenge.

So, they can play this
game how they want.

They can throw me to the side,

banish me...

Enjoy.

I hope you have impala grease

going down your face right now.

Because I am winning this.

And there's nothing
you can do to stop me.

[Steven] Fatty
oily deliciousness.

[Man] Who needs coffee
when you got bone broth?

Meat champagne, people.

[Gulps] Real man's drink.

[Man 2] Who else
wants another eyeball?

- [Man] I do.
- [Steven] Yeah.

- [Man 3] Oh, yeah. Salty.
- [Man 4 burps]

[Indistinct conversation]

We noticed one
more cache out there

but we know it's still safe.

So, our plan is to get
fully recharged today,

full of meat,

and then go find
this cache tomorrow.

[Waz speaking]

- [Man 5] Oh, yeah, Cheeny.
- [Man 6] Woo-hoo!

[Man 6] Congratulations.

[Cheeny] Mmm, I know.

Cheeny, you like that. You're
pretty much a newcomer.

- [Cheeny] I'm the newcomer, man.
- Yeah.

[Cheeny] Today, I
would be clean, well-fed,

I'd be probably eating

a bowl of rice with
some runny eggs on top.

- [Man 7] Yeah.
- [Cheeny] Mmm, with a strong cup of coffee.

[Man 8 grunts]

Calling all my
family and friends.

It's day 22.

I'm officially on an exile now.

And every day, I wanna go home,

and every day, I wanna stay.

It's wild.

The emotions I
go through out here

are just [bleep] wild.

I'm just getting in my head

jump school is worse
than this for [bleep] sake.

I need to pull my
head out of my ass

and stop being such a grouch

even though I'm tired
and my blood sugar's low.

But it's no excuse.

Gotta be cool, man.

- That's what I was waiting for.
- [Gary] Mmm-mmm-mmm.

[Gary] Hey, look
what we get to share.

Every single, uh,
come up we had,

everybody said each other.

Jeff's losing the game.

Look how he... he doesn't eat.

Jeff's not dumb.

He knows we're
all over there eating.

Feel bad for Jeff right now.

Me and him are friends.

[Man 9] Right,
out here in Africa,

he's also a game piece.

And I just play it
like I play everything.

One inch at a time.

[Jeff] What's up, buddy?

[Gary] You want
some impala meat?

- [Jeff] Woah.
- [Gary] Neck meat.

[Gary] If they saw me
give you impala meat,

they'd be pissed.

- [Jeff] Thank you, Gary.
- [Gary] Yeah.

[Gary] I've got
gratitude for Jeff,

because he gave
me a pelt to sleep on.

And that's why I grabbed
him some of the neck meat.

With Jeff, I get those pelts.

So I'm dry if it rains,

and I'm eating when I'm hungry.

I got the best of both worlds.

[Jeff] In the... at
the end of the day,

it's your choice, right?

[Gary] I mean, yeah,
but it could jeopardize me.

They'd be pissed

and I'd have to deal with that.

- I understand.
- [Gary] I just... you know.

Yeah.

But you see, I'm seeing
both sides a little more.

- [Jeff] Mmm-hmm?
- And, um,

I don't see you
as playing dirty,

you're just not playing the way
everybody wants you to play,

- kind of thing.
- [Jeff] Okay. Well, yeah.

[Jeff] Because of how
I play this entire game,

the energy around camp is thick.

My new strategy is I'm
gonna be a friend to everyone.

And if they don't
wanna be my friend,

that's their choice.

But you know what,
I'm gonna be theirs.

So how... how about this?

I think communication's smart.

I like things to be
clear and in the open.

I don't like there to be
any elephant in the room,

or... ambiguity, you know?

[Gary] Yeah, yeah, I mean...

[Jeff] I'm gonna...

I'm gonna try to smooth
the waters the best I can

with Sarah and Cheeny.

- [Gary] Yeah, yeah.
- You know?

- That might be the best route.
- [Jeff] Okay.

[Jeff] You guys, can I just say,

really happy to be in a team.

[Gary] Yes, celebrate yourself.

[Jeff] It's... it's been a
lonely week for me and, uh,

you know, I... I wanna

first off apologize if I
came off as abrasive,

or negative,

or in any way, you
know, hurtful to anyone.

[Sarah] Can I stop
you right there?

The word you're looking
for is "manipulative".

Okay.

Nobody here is
bartering but you.

Since day one,

you've had things and you've
been holding the items hostage.

Like, you've had how many pelts?

No pelts.

Cold wet rain.

-And I'm gonna say right
now, -[Jeff] Mmm-hmm?

I'm not gonna
tolerate any bartering.

We've been sharing
this entire time.

It's not "I'll trade
you this for that."

All right? We don't need
no swindling up in here.

- I don't wanna hear it.
- Okay.

[Chuckles] I'm
taken back by this.

My bartering system?

This is a competition.

But I'm here to make
these next ten days

go as smoothly
as possible for me.

Oh... no, you're right.

And that's... and that's
why I'm apologizing.

The bartering
system came off bad.

- True.
- So bad.

For me, it was never personal.

For me, it was all about
gaining an advantage.

That's how I was competing.

And... and I did it in a way
that was manipulative, maybe,

um, pissed some people off.

And I'm sorry for that.

I want you guys to know

I'm going to adapt how I'm
doing things to meet you guys.

The bartering and
that kind of thing?

That goes away,

and I... I want us to start

our own little
team dynamic here.

And... and I'm gonna...

I'm gonna treat every one
of you like friends, partners.

Yeah, well, we'll be
holding you to that.

-You know, if you're
in a situation -[Jeff] uh...

[Sarah] Where you are accepting
something from somebody,

you need to be
able to give it back.

Oh, yeah.

[Cheeny] We're no
more lending or borrowing

we're not bartering.

Yeah.

- Thank you, guys.
- [Cheeny]...

[Sarah] Generally speaking,
I'm a very forgiving person.

But he's had a bad
habit of, you know,

playing a game where he
pretends to be apologetic,

and then behaves in a way that's
completely counter to what he says.

So I would like to give
him the benefit of the doubt,

but again,

I'm gonna take everything
that he says with a grain of salt.

- You slate is clean with me.
- Thank you.

But don't you try to sneak a
sunrise past a rooster, Jeff.

[All laugh]

[Cheeny] It's... it's
a clean slate, dude.

- [Jeff] Thank you.
- [Cheeny] It's a clean slate.

[Jeff] Thank you.

[Sarah] You got, uh, [sighs]

Some extra twine or
a rope for a stringer?

Yeah, I have burlap

- and you can get something off of there.
- Sure.

There is one person who's not
eating the meat, and that's Jeff.

But to be completely
honest, it does bother me

that we're eating and he's not.

And I would like to
give him a chance.

[Jeff] I'm encouraged
that the bait is so bloody.

[Sarah] Yeah.

[Jeff] Because this
water's so murky,

the fish probably go
a lot by scent here.

[Sarah] Mmm-hmm.

The first outing with Sara
and I'm super friendly.

- [Jeff] The 22.
- [Sarah] Mmm-hmm?

[Jeff] Oh, gee, that's...

- we're basically half way.
- [Sarah] Yeah.

[Jeff] Well, congrats to you.

- [Sarah] And congrats to you.
- [Jeff] Thank you.

[Jeff] I'm enjoyable company.

I'm actually a nice guy.

[Sarah] How far out
are you casting yours?

- [Jeff] Um, about eight feet.
- [Sarah] Okay.

[Sarah] I might try
bringing it in a little.

- [Jeff] Yeah?
- [Sarah] A little shallower.

[Jeff] Okay.

Eh, how... how far
are you casting?

[Sarah] About, uh, five, six.

- [Jeff] Oh, okay.
- [Sarah] Yeah.

This is great.

[Sarah] Gotcha.

I got me some.

Yep. Look, look, look.

- [Jeff] Yes.
- [Sarah] Nice.

[Jeff] Nice job, nice job.

Wonderful. Beautiful fish.

[Sarah] Ain't the biggest
boy in the world, but...

[Jeff] Lot bigger than
a frog. [Chuckles]

- [Sarah] Yeah. Yeah.
- [Jeff laughs]

- [Sarah] Lot bigger than a crab.
- [Jeff chuckles] Yeah.

[Sarah] About ready?

[Jeff] Yeah, I think so.

[Sarah] All right.

[Jeff] Well, it was a
successful trip up here.

- [Sara] Yeah.
- [Jeff] Pulled one out.

[Sarah] One's
better than nothing.

Jeff's been on his best behavior

now that he knows he's
going to be held accountable.

But he's still on
thin ice with me.

So I think it's a
good opportunity

to give him a
gesture of kindness

that I hope he takes
as an opportunity

to show kindness in return.

You want to, uh, do this bit?

- [Jeff] Sure.
- [Sarah sniffles] Sweet.

[Sarah] That's... that
by the way, that's all you.

[Jeff] What? What?

- [Cheeny speaking]
- [Jeff] I... I... I didn't catch it.

Sarah caught it.

- [Sarah] It's all you.
- [Jeff] I didn't catch it.

[Sarah] That's fine.

[Jeff] Well, I mean, thank you.

Thank you so much.

Sarah gave Jeff a fish.

And, uh, the rules
are pretty clear.

Don't feed Jeff.

Eh, it's not my problem.

My, uh, standing
with the other team

is really important to me.

And I don't wanna do
something stupid like that

and mess it up.

[Jeff] So, uh, Sarah
gave me the fish.

Shocking, I must say.

This was not a
peace treaty fish.

This was a guilt fish.

[Waz speaking]

Diving to the depths to
find this fishing equipment,

there's so many
different places.

It might just take
a bit more time.

The swimming's
nice but it is cold.

I've got goosebumps,
I'm starting to shiver.

I know I've got the right area.

I'm definitely coming back.

- What's up, buddy?
- [Jeff] What's up?

[Waz] What you eating?

[Jeff] Fish. Tilapia.

Sarah actually caught it,
and, uh, told me to eat up.

Yeah.

[Waz] Yeah, I'm not a huge fan

hearing that Sarah
gave, uh, Jeff a fish.

Sarah eating our food

and then being so foolish,
she's giving the food to Jeff,

it doesn't make any sense.

That's [bleep] crazy to me.

We've drawn a
hard line in the sand

and, and it's totally voiding
the thing we're setting up.

We [bleep] straight up said

we're not sharing anything
else with them anymore.

[Bleep]

[Steven grunts]

- [Steven grunts]
- [Matt] What up, buddy?

[Waz] Jeff's over
there eating some fish.

He said Sarah gave it to him.

We're playing by
Jeff's rules now.

[Waz] By cutting him
off from sharing anything

and then, Sarah goes
and catches a fish

and feeds it to Jeff,

it kind of bypasses the point
and it doesn't make any sense.

[Steven] Ah.

[Sarah] Knock, knock, boys.

- [Matt] What up?
- [Sarah] Eh, not much.

[Waz] Hey, I heard
you caught a fish?

[Sarah] Yeah, caught a tilapia.

[Waz] Yeah, that's nice.
Have you gave it yet?

[Sarah] Yeah.

I think really what he
needs is a starting point to...

Have the opportunity to
show that he's not just a taker.

-I caught... [Waz] He's not
learning anything if he's getting fish.

[Chuckles]

[Waz] I'm not... I'm not joking.

- [Man 10] I'm telling you.
- [Waz] I'm upset.

[Waz] You just give him a fish,

when you guys should
be eating the fish.

Like, it... imagine we'll just be
giving him this food, you know?

[Sarah] Yeah, I mean,
it's not like I'm, you know,

- sharing impala with him or anything.
- [Waz] Mmm.

- [Waz] I understand that.
- [Sarah] Well...

[Waz] His lesson needs to be

he only eats what he catches

for the rest of this challenge.

- [Man 10] Yeah.
- [Man 11] I thought he was playing it.

[Sarah] The guys are not happy
about me sharing the tilapia,

but frankly, it's
not their call.

At this point in the game,

our survival depends
on working with Jeff

whether we like it or not.

[Waz speaking]

[Sarah] I stand by
giving him a fish.

[Gary speaking]

[Waz] You gave him impala?

[Gary] Yeah, just a taste, yeah.

It was just a
bite of the neck...

[Waz] Jesus Christ, we're
giving him [Bleep] impala

when we all agreed
we weren't going to.

- [Gary speaking]
- [Man 12 speaking]

[Gary] It was like, two bites.

[Man 12 speaking]

[Waz] You're feeding him, Gary.

[Gary] No, I gave him
a... a bite of impala.

[Waz] You're feeding him. Gary.

You fed him impala.

[Gary] No, I didn't give him
anything that was substantial...

[man 12] That's not the point.

It's the principle.

[Waz] He doesn't
get food [bleep].

This is a hard line.

Is it clear?

[Gary speaking]

[Jeff] What?

- Even though you're sleeping on my hide right now.
- [Gary] I know.

[Gary] I'm not in a position to
just completely not share with Jeff.

He could easily say,
"give me back my pelt."

...[bleep].

You guys suffer.

It puts us, that are
getting shared with,

in a tough spot.

Right now, we have to be a team

whether we like it or not.

[Jeff] And we may be
competing as a team.

[Gary] Exactly.

We might have to
make sure you make it

- 'cause we want to.
- Exactly.

[Gary] That's the
position we're in.

[Cheeny] Technically,
Jeff is part of my team.

And, you know,
I've said before that

don't leave anyone behind
and you take care of 'em, but,

Jeff's that one guy in training

that happened to graduate.

And nobody really knows why.

Having the right partner
in these challenges is key.

[Steven] Should we
go after that cache?

- Since we know where it is?
- [Dan] Yeah.

We know that there is the cash

between the two leopard
scrapes in the trees.

And we know roughly where it is.

We just sort of ran out of time

and pretended we found it

to get the other
team off the trail.

[Steven] We get in the grid,
we prod the ground, and we...

[Matt] We can get in line,

like we're searching
for a dead body.

- [Steven] Yep.
- [Man 13] There you go.

[Cheeny] Hey.

[Dan] Oh, howdy.

[Man 14] Is there a kind
of weird vibe in camp?

- [Cheeny] I don't like it.
- [Waz] I don't blame you.

[Cheeny] It's bringing
me down, man.

Cheeny and I just
spent 21 days together,

we're like this,
we're best friends.

And I know she's having a hard
time over there with that team.

I just worry

that she's letting herself
fall into a bad mindset.

[Cheeny] Getting out of that
camp was good for my psyche.

Cheeny, I think
at this point, is...

uh, she's looking for
a little bit of escape.

[Matt] You wanna bring
Cheeny in on the secret?

[Dan] Yeah.

I have no problem
letting her in on the secret.

I know it's not
gonna get back to Jeff

that's, uh, there's
still a cash out there.

- [Man 15] You wanna come with us?
- [Cheeny] I'd love to.

[Man 15]...

[Matt speaking]

[Cheeny] I have a lot of
respect for the other team,

and they respect me,
and I don't wanna lose it.

This whole thing's
a competition,

and I'd rather be around people

that are gonna help
me out in the long run.

[Matt] The map says

identify trees where leopards or
porcupines have left their mark,

find the mid-point
between matching scars

then dig for survival tools.

[Waz] Which trees have
the leopard marks on 'em?

[Matt] This tree here
has got the claw marks.

And this tree right over here.

[Dan] That bent one. You
can see it right there, Waz.

[Waz] Ah, yeah.

Forty three, 44...

[Dan] we paced back and forth.

[Dan] And it brings us from here

to about where Dan's at.

It's the middle.

In this line here somewhere,

is gonna be somewhere soft...

somewhere there's
some soft area.

- See where we dug some spots?
- [Dan] It's... yeah.

[Dan] It's gonna be hard, 'cause we
dug through everything already, but...

I see now, some weird-looking
animal dung, actually.

- Huh.
- [Waz] Get the [bleep].

- [Dan] Here. [Chuckles]
- [Matt] Hey, guys.

[Man 16] Ha.

[Dan] If you find it right now,
that's gonna be ridiculous.

- Yeah.
- [Matt] There's something here.

- [Matt] Got it.
- [Cheeny] What?

[All laugh]

[Waz] Yeah, that could use
some serious hunter intellect.

The ground doesn't look like it would
naturally be sitting there from animals.

And, uh, one jab with my stick,

I found the items.

- [Dan] Oh, some rope.
- [Matt] There's four of 'em.

- [Steven] Nice.
- [Dan] That's too funny.

[Matt] The... the way you
could miss something one day.

- [Steven] Yep. And then it's right there.
- And then I'm looking there,

and I'm like, "you know what, now I'm
looking at the contour of the ground."

Kind of scattered out like that.

[All exclaim and laugh]

To find this rope
out here is huge.

It's, uh, it's... allows us
to build better shelters,

allows us to carry
stuff, pull stuff up.

[Dan and Waz speaking]

- [Steven and Matt] Yeah.
- [Waz] Whoo.

We now, are ahead of the game.

'Cause rope is super essential.

That's gonna come in handy
for something in the future, I bet.

[Steven] Yeah, for sure.

[Matt] If you got
rope, you got hope.

[Steven] That's right.

[Gary] Going up to maybe,
uh, look for as beehive,

harvesst some cattle cactus.

Lot of times,

people have always
looked right past what I do,

'cause if you're not sticking
an arrow on an animal,

somehow, you
won't shine as hard.

But I'm a true survivalist,

I have skills strong
enough to win.

Might go over there
to those weaver nests.

I can grab an egg or two.

[Narrator] Male
Africa weaver birds

construct intricately
woven nests,

hoping to attract
females to lay their eggs.

The spherical nests often
hang near or above water

out of predator's reach.

[Gary speaking]

[Muffled] Look at that.

Look how mini they are.

This is like, my private
hen house, man.

I feel bad taking
this little bird's eggs,

but I'm gonna fight
for survival, you know?

Eggs are incredibly
good for you.

These beautiful, speckled
eggs, so delicious.

Mmm. Mmm.

This baby is full of eggs.

So I'm gonna give
everybody a couple of eggs.

Little gestures in this
world go a long way.

The boys got mad at me

when they found out I gave
Jeff of like, two bites of impala.

So I wanna share with
the boys to keep the peace.

- [Cheeny] What's up, Gary?
- [Gary] What's happening?

[Gary] You guys want two eggs?

- Two eggs each?
- [Cheeny] What?

- [Gary] Yeah.
- [Man 17] Wow.

- [Gary] Want ...?
- [Man 17] Yeah.

- [Gary] Want a couple, Steve?
- [Steven] Yeah.

- [Matt] Prettiest little eggs.
- [Gary] They are pretty eggs.

[Gary] And they're delicious.

[Steven] That's a
fantastic little treat, actually.

When one of us
achieves these goals,

- we all eat, you know?
- [Man 17] Yep.

[Gary] It's a
beautiful thing, man.

[Matt] Gary is a wildcard.

And because of that,

you don't know
what's he capable of.

I could see him working,
you know, both sides,

I could see him
going off on his own.

It concerns me.

He is a competitor on
this challenge that, uh,

each and every person
need to look out for.

[Jeff] Gonna do
firewood, and then, uh,

boil a pot of water

and then, when the heat
of the day goes down,

I'm gonna do some fishing
in the river this evening.

It's been a rough 48 hours.

Like, slicing my hand

and getting a bunch of stitches.

Meanwhile,

the other group's trying
to starve me out slowly,

by not sharing any food with me.

- What's up? [Sighs]
- [Sarah] What's up?

I think I'm gonna do fishing
by the river this evening,

so I got all my firewood
taken care of early.

Hmm.

Oh, [bleep].

Ah, [bleep].

That was scalding water.

[Sarah] You burn your foot?

Accidentally kicked the
pot with the hot water in it.

Need to call a medic?

[Jeff speaking]

- [Metal clangs]
- [Jeff] Oh, [bleep].

That was scalding water.

It burned me pretty good.

My skin is already coming off.

When it rains, it pours.

I'm still dealing with
stitches in my hand,

now I've got blisters
all over my foot.

I burned myself pretty good.

[Pranil speaking]

[Jeff] Yeah, I kicked
a pot of boiling water,

and it poured on my ankle.

It burned from here down
and then also on the inside.

So the whole back of the ankle.

[Pranil speaking]

[Narrator] Contact
with scalding water,

can cause second-degree burns,

peeling off outer skin
layers and risking infection.

[Jeff] It was so hot,
it's melted the skin

off of the back of my ankle

and created a big...

Open wound.

[Pranil speaking]

So, I guess the worry going
forward is a infection. Yeah.

[Pranil speaking]

- [Jeff speaking]
- [Pranil speaking]

[Jeff] Oh, God.

- [Pranil speaking]
- [Jeff] Okay. Okay.

[Jeff] The medic just told me
that I cannot get my foot wet.

If I do, it'll get infected.

And this crushes my hopes
of... of fishing in the river

because the... The best
pools along the river,

the only way you're gonna get to
them is by walking through the water.

- Okay. Thank you very much.
- [Pranil] Yeah.

And if I can't get
food for myself,

I don't eat. And
that's a scary thing.

[Dramatic music playing]

[Narrator] The last unclaimed
survival item is a fishing asset

hidden in the depths
near the river's bend.

[Steven] All right, boys.

[Waz] I got a good
feeling about today.

On the docket for today,
all four of us are gonna go

look for this fishing asset.

- See those bunch of rocks there?
- [Matt] Yeah.

[Waz] I've got that as that
big, lighter-colored, flat one.

[Matt] Yeah.

[Waz] So, we're a
tiny bit right of that.

- [Matt] Yeah.
- [Dan] All right.

[Waz] If it's a fishing
net, that'll be huge for us.

Like, we could be pulling
five to ten fish a day,

which would be
massive calorie input.

It's just the guys haven't
been able to find it.

It's something I've looked
for for the last two days.

I imagine we've got
a net with a rock wire

and they are just sitting
on the bottom somewhere.

[Steven] He's
doing a grid pattern?

[Matt] Yeah, trying.

[Dan] Yeah, I'm just trying to go back
and forth or top to bottom going like this.

We just start
working it as grid.

[Matt] Kinda spreading
my legs back and forth,

sweeping the
ground with my feet.

[Steven] I'm swimming under
boulders, like, eight, ten feet,

shoving my arm under places
that are honestly terrifying.

And we're all
doing it for hours.

Uh, the water's cold,
and we're not finding it.

[Waz] I feel like I've swept
the bottom of this whole area

like a full plane of the...

[Dan] Yeah. It's
mind-blowing, man.

[Steven] It is.

[Waz] I don't
know if it's moved,

I don't know if it's been
covered up by some sediment.

We're just coming up drive.

[Waz] We're gonna have
to have a conversation

- about how many calories we spend in this water...
- [Steven] Yeah.

[Waz] ...Versus
potentially not finding it

or, like, we might
have to give up.

- [Steven] It's a fact.
- [Waz] It's the responsible...

- [Steven] Yeah.
- ...Survival thing to do, you know?

Just this water being as cold as
it is, we're burning more calories

- for maintaining our own body heat.
- [Matt] Yeah.

[Waz] A lot of calories
are being burned right now.

So, I'm pretty sure
we should call this.

It hurts a little bit
because out of all of them,

this is probably the
one I wanted the most.

[Matt] We can't keep
getting in the water like that.

[Steven] I feel
like I got beat up.

[Matt] I mean, we're
hunting for these items,

but still kind of
a hunt for them.

You've sometimes
gotta call it off.

I say we go back, kinda
rest up for a little bit.

[Waz] We'll go grab
some biltong and...

- [Matt] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- [Dan] Yeah, I'm... I'm game for that.

[Waz] I'm glad
we put the effort in.

[Dan] Yeah.

[Flies buzzing]

[Dan] I see a lot of
buzzing going on over here.

Looks like a little fly.

[Steven] And so those ones
over there might be at risk.

[Waz] There is a possibility
they didn't seal it up.

And if they look like
they didn't quite seal it up,

then we're looking
at flies and stuff on it.

Yeah, it should... I got a...

- I got some... Couple of little maggots here.
- God.

[Steven] Biltong needs
super-hot dry air to work.

And what it does is, it actually
puts, like, a dry layer over the meat

which protects it
from flies, fly larvae.

And we didn't get that.

[Matt] Needed a little bit
more of that African heat.

It's not sealed off
like it should've been.

[Dan] These are little
fly eggs right there.

[Steven] Flies started
putting their eggs on there.

And once the eggs turn
into maggots, that's a wrap.

[Matt] By the end of
the day, it would've...

- [Waz] Could've been bad.
- It would've started to get bad.

- [Dan] We throw this in water and just boil it all.
- [Matt] Yeah.

[Steven] Throw it in a pot.

- [Waz] What's in this boiling pot?
- [Steven] Salt.

[Dan] We're gonna boil it up real fast,
kill any bacteria, any larvae, any eggs.

[Waz] Let this get to a boil.

We can all grab
a... A little piece.

[Steven] We're gonna have to
eat as much as we can right now.

It's a bummer because if we
were able to turn it into biltong,

you could literally walk
around with dried meat for days.

And instead, we're
pretty much out of food.

[Cheeny] This is our
home for nine days.

- We should take some pride in it.
- [Sarah] Yeah.

- [Cheeny] It could be cold in the night.
- [Sarah] Yeah.

- [Cheeny] The wind's always coming through, so...
- [Sarah] Yeah.

[Cheeny] Survival is 90% mental.

You're your own worst enemy.

And it's so easy
to get into a funk.

- I'm gonna build an actual shelter.
- [Sarah] That's a good idea.

[Cheeny] The chance
of it not raining is...

- [Sarah] [Indistinct] To none.
- [Cheeny] ...Uh, incredibly slim.

Whenever there's any
bad energy around me

or I got some negative thoughts,

my first step is to
go find purpose.

Keeps a clear head, which
definitely helps on a challenge like this.

There's materials galore
here for a thatched roof.

There's this, like, bamboo grass-looking
stuff, and it works phenomenally.

So, I'm just cutting that.

And I'm gonna
layer that on the roof.

It was more stuff.

And we make that thing tight.

Better than bark on a tree.

Between these and the hides,
we'll be ready for a freaking cyclone.

- [Chuckles]
- [Cheeny] Yeah.

[Jeff] If I didn't just burn the [bleep]
out of my ankle, I'd be helping ya.

So, there's negative energy in the
shelter. Jeff has two wounds now.

[Jeff] It's on the ankle
where it flexes as I walk.

So, it's... It's extremely
painful right now.

I wanted to fix all
my [bleep] today.

Hate my shelter, so I fixed it.

That's a small victory. But
deep down, my mind is just home.

It's not here.

[Matt] The pot meat's gone.

- The broth is pretty much ran out.
- [Steven] Meatless.

[Matt] Well, Steven, I think
the time has come, my friend.

- [Waz] You guys hunting?
- [Steven] Yes, sir.

This afternoon, Steven
and I are going out

kind of as a combined force.

Last few days, I've begun to learn
this area watching these animals.

- [Steven] Is that a wildebeest up there?
- [Matt] Oh, yeah.

They love moving
around. It's a good sign.

[Steven] These animals appear
to be coming on the same trail

to the waterhole every
single morning and afternoon.

[Matt whispering] Appears like a trail that
goes in between all these little hills.

Be pretty sweet.
Get on one side.

[Whispering]

[Steven] I'm at a
crossroads, pal.

Four or five
different game trails

where all the game comes down
from the mountains behind me.

[Steven continues speaking]

[Matt] I'm down in my little
nook here below the pond.

I'm set up where wind
is pushing my sack away,

hopefully letting the
game come down here

and an opportunity
to be ambushed.

I just need some opportunity.

[Steven speaking]

Got some impala coming in.

Come on, impala.

Get in my bag.

[Steven speaking]

Damn it.

The African animals,
they don't play.

They're so used to
being stalked by predators

that anything that gets them
off-kilter, they're gonna dodge.

[Sighs] It's hard here.

[Sighs]

[Steven] Damn it.

It's disheartening going this long
without... Without proper success.

[Dramatic music playing]

[Gary] How is your foot feeling?

[Jeff] It hurts. Really
wanted to go fishing today,

but the doc told me I
cannot get this burn wet.

If I get it wet, she says
it'll get infected and nasty.

At this point in the
game, the other team

is trying to starve me
out of this challenge.

And I cannot fish and
get food for myself.

So, I feel like my strategy has
put me in a precarious situation.

[Gary] So, here's what's being
created, just to point out what I see.

Every day is
survival for all of us.

- Right? Every day is.
- [Jeff] Every day.

And look, you cut your
hand, you boiled your foot.

- Every day.
- Every day is survival, right?

Every day is
competition for you.

But every day,
we're just sharing.

[Jeff] My view is
that every single day

is part of the
overall competition,

meaning every single day is an
opportunity to get a little bit stronger.

And I believe over
time, that accumulates,

and by the end, you may
be significantly stronger

- than your competitors...
- okay, but...

...because you
focused on yourself.

I see your point, but I
think you might not realize

that you're cutting
yourself off from the lot...

- Look at that impala, for one.
- [Jeff] Mmm-hmm.

So, we're getting
stronger, and you're not.

Survival is about
getting calories in.

Jeff's losing the game.

I can tell he's
genuinely feeling it.

That's sort of the gamble
you're playing, you know?

I see Jeff thinking he's playing
the long game, but he's not.

He's being forced, I think, to
eat some humble pie right now.

- [Sarah] Jeff burned his foot pretty bad.
- What?

Well, yeah. He kicked his water
pot and got boiling water on his foot.

- [Steven] He's falling apart.
- His hand's busted, his foot's busted.

[Matt] When I injured my hand,

I watched six survivalists
out of the eight that are here

come to my rescue.

[Gary] Between all of us, we
will get your feet [Indistinct] here.

[Matt] To have something
like this put me out

and have them step in even
though it's a competition,

that is [bleep] beautiful.

I don't want to win something
because just everyone else is weaker.

You wanna win something because
you played it to the best of the ability.

I still want Jeff to be strong so in
the end, you know, I could beat him

and he has no excuses.

[Steven] His entire
strategy is so short-sighted.

- He's gonna [bleep] himself.
- [Matt] yeah.

You know, I know Jeff
better than anybody out here.

And, uh, I love him.

But last one standing has
brought out the worst in him.

It's weighing on me,
it's weighing on my team.

- [Waz] It's one of the hardest things I've ever done.
- [Steven] Yeah, me, too.

[Waz] It's literally one of the
hardest things. Not just saying that.

[Steven] Literally
been struggling.

- [Steven] We could fix that rift.
- [Matt] Yeah. Harbors up.

I'd like to see it
something or it just starts

- resonating.
- [Dan] Humble pie.

It's humble pie. It's the
reason people are after you.

[Steven] If Jeff
sincerely felt remorse

for anything that he did to
put himself in this situation

and sat us down and
apologized about it,

that would go so far.

If it looks like he was...
He did come around, then...

We renege on the
cut-off, you know?

[Dramatic music playing]

[Gary] Day 25.

Preying early in the morning.

I'm going out to maybe, uh, look
for impala before it gets too hot today.

[Steven] We gotta
resolve this Jeff situation.

[Matt] It needs to
be talked about...

[Dan] I think that's important.

[Matt] ...And nipped in the bud.

[Waz] We just want
some open communication

let him know where
we're coming from.

We're gonna go over there, we're gonna
try to have a... An adult conversation

put out in the open
how we're feeling,

why we made the
decisions we made.

[Waz] Good morning.

[Sarah] Hey, guys.
Swinging by for a visit?

[Matt] Bit of a visit,
bit of a chat. Yeah.

[Steven] I'd love to
close the book on this.

[Matt] We wanted
to talk with you, Jeff,

and make sure that you
didn't feel like there was issues

from... from us not
sharing that impala.

And when you sort of established

that you're not gonna share what
you find, then we had to make a choice

of not sharing with
someone who's not sharing.

It goes against everything in
my survival instinct to not share.

And I hate doing it, but
we're using your playbook.

[Jeff] This is ridiculous.

They're trying to get me
to feel guilty for competing.

[Dan] We gave you the benefit
of the doubt multiple times, really.

And eventually, you
can only be so naive

to keep... keep giving to you when
you're not giving to anybody else.

[Jeff] Their whole goal coming
in here is to get me to be like,

"ah, you're right.
Yeah, I should, uh...

You know what, I guess
I am a piece of [bleep].

[Waz] You're out here for
you. You made that clear.

You built this fortress
around yourself.

That fortress has now
turned into a prison.

[Jeff] But right now,
I'm keeping my cool.

And I'm gonna out
think everyone here.

I'm gonna out think 'em,
and I'm gonna outplay 'em.

Let the mind games commence.

I do feel the impala
issue was extremely low.

And I feel hurt
coming from, you know,

people that I
considered great friends.

And I feel like the
difference here is,

what you guys are doing
to me now, it's personal.

Because you don't like me.

- No, that's nothing to do with that, Jeff.
- [Jeff] And that's...

That is the
definition of bullying.

- No, no.
- [Waz] No, this is the definition of...

This is the definition of a narcissist,
what you're doing right now.

And here it comes.
And here it comes.

- Hey, we're not doing anything personal.
- [Jeff] You are.

- This is all personal against me.
- But not sharing impala

is your rules, you
understand that?

Why did you call me a piece
of [bleep] the other day? Yeah.

As if, like, I'm a criminal.

Everything I've done
is... Is just strategy.

We're... we're in a challenge
called last one standing.

I don't know what challenge
you guys think you're playing.

[Matt] Got it. [Laughs]

[Narrator] For this competition,
the PSR, or primitive survival rating,

weighs an individual's
survival skill and items collected

to determine the likelihood of
becoming the last one standing.

[Waz speaking]

- Oh, yeah, Cheeny.
- [Indistinct]

[Narrator] After surpassing
a personal milestone,

Cheeny's frustration over
being teamed with Jeff...

Cut his nuts off.

[Narrator] ...Has her struggling
to mentally stay in the game.

[Cheeny] My mind is
just home. It's not here.

[Narrator] As a result, her
PSR drops from 7.6 to 7.2.

- [Waz] Yay, buddy!
- [Cheering]

[Narrator] Reunited
with his Amazon partners,

Matt led the group to multiple
cash finds and a big food land...

- [All cheering]
- Whoo! That's right!

[Narrator] ...Raising
his PSR from 9.6 to 9.8.

Ah, [bleep]. I need a medic.

[Narrator] Multiple injuries
have Jeff physically debilitated.

Oh, [bleep]. That
was scalding water.

[Narrator] And the other team's
strategy has left him isolated.

The savage kitchen
is open for business.

- [Man cheering] - [Jeff] Now
eating impala meat together,

leaving me over here hungry.

[Narrator] Backed into a corner,
his PSR falls from 9.4 to 9.0.

[Matt] Not sharing
impala is your rules.

We're in a challenge
called last one standing.

I don't know what challenge
you guys think you're playing.

[Matt] Why are we sharing with
you when you established your rules?

Don't act like you're
sharing a lot of stuff with me.

Matt, what have
you shared with me?

- [Matt] It...
- Steven, what have you shared with me?

- [Matt] Literally a diaper.
- [Waz] The impala. The impala. What are you talking about?

- The impala.
- [Steven] On day two.

Don't put me in this
category that... we...

From the beginning, we
have been open and sharing.

[Dan] We just changed to play
by your rules. It's as simple as that.

That's... that's... that's it.

You guys are doing
this to one individual

and that's because
it's personal.

[Dan] Because you're the one
who set your own rules, Jeff,

that are different
than everyone else's.

[Jeff] And because
you're upset, Dan.

You're upset. Your emotions are
causing you guys to make this decision.

- [Dan] No.
- [Matt] Oh, my God.

[Jeff] Your emotions
are blinding all of you.

- I'm telling you.
- [Man] Oh, wow.

[Jeff] I see that you
guys are changed

from the people that
I thought you were

- before this challenge.
- [Steven] I see a narcissist

- making himself out to be a victim...
- [Matt] Oh.

...turning this whole
thing around on its head

from the guy that was screaming

that he took
everybody's [bleep],

and now he's poor,
poor, pitiful me Jeff.

And we're just playing
the exact same game

- that you were playing with us.
- [Matt] Yup.

[Steven] This has
been killing me.

I love you, and
you're my brother,

and I'm... I've seen this side of
you in this one at the beginning

that has affected me
on this challenge, dude.

[Jeff] You left your
pot and stuff behind.

- Oh, my, I could chuck this bitch into the river.
- I know.

[Both laugh]

You go, "hey, you
should thank me

for not throwing all
your [bleep] in the river.

I should thank you for being a
good person and not an ass-[Bleep]?

Like, that's just
common decency.

It broke my heart, Jeff.

It... it hurt me. I'm still
having issues with it.

'Cause I do love you, dude.

It's been 60 days together.

We know each other
better than anybody.

[Steven] I'm angry because I
feel like me and Jeff are brothers.

And then we come out here and...

I'm just another
pawn in the game.

Dude, I'm the realest, most
emotional person you'll ever meet.

- You know that.
- [Jeff] I know this. Yeah.

You know, so to see me like
this, you have to know this isn't...

This isn't faking anger.

- [Jeff] It's real hurt. It's real hurt. And I...
- This is sadness. It hurt.

Steven, I feel for
you and I just...

I believe that with
that much hurt inside,

are you guys doing
something wrong?

- Oh, God.
- Oh, Mickey.

- My God.
- [Matt] I can't. I can't. I can't.

- [Waz] Okay, so...
- [Steven sniffles]

- [Man] It's okay, buddy.
- [Steven] I gotta get out of here for a little bit.

[Matt] You spent 60
days with that man.

And he is upset because he
wants to share. I want to share.

That is what we do.

And you are just blinders, mirror in
front of yourself, looking at yourself

- like a victim.
- Because you're decision against me is a personal one.

- No, it's not.
- It is.

- 100%...
- [man] No, Matt.

You said we're playing a [bleep]
game every God damn day, Jeff.

- [Jeff] That's exactly what we're doing.
- That's what you said.

The game was [bleep]
written in the sand.

Don't freaking call me
a bully ever in my life.

Don't call anyone of us a bully.

Because we're holding
you to your own [bleep] law.

You're a different Matt
Wright than the one I've known.

No, you're... no. No, this is not
personal. This is not [bleep] personal.

- This isn't personal?
- This is a game as you established right here.

You said, [Bleep] Drawn on
the sand, "competition every day."

If it's competition every day,
don't bitch about [bleep] losing.

Do you understand
what I'm saying?

- Do you see yourself right now?
- [Waz] Matt.

- Do you understand?
- Matt, this is anger.

- [Matt] No.
- This is personal, buddy.

It's just trying to get it
through to your head.

- [Dan] Matt, stop. He's trying to manipulate you.
- Yeah, you're the idiot.

That just makes
two idiots. Let's go.

[Matt] I am
frustrated. I am angry.

The way Jeff was so
cold, that upsets me.

To me, he's a, uh...
Nothing but a shadow.

[Jeff] They might think their
war of attrition is getting to me.

It's not.

Everything I have
done has been strategy.

[Cheeny] [Bleep] Jeff. He's
tearing us all apart. God.

I know I'm burning myself out.

[Jeff] They're all busy right
now talking about one thing.

Jeff. [Chuckles]

You're gonna have to take the freaking
mirror in front of your face away, Jeff.

Because this is
nothing personal.

And when it comes from somebody

you legitimately
love and care about,

it rips your f... It
rips your heart out.

- [Jeff] Every thought is consumed by me.
- [Steven sighs]

I'm more than under their skin.

I'm in their souls right now.

[Waz] You are not that
person. You are not those words.

[Jeff] It's a psychological mental
game right now that they're losing.

And you know what? I'm
more determined than ever

to be the last one standing.
