[opening theme music playing]

[laughing]

[whooping]

Make room for me!

Oh, hello, bakers.

[laughs]

Why do I have a blow torch?

Because things are really heating up.

Oh my God.

[blow torch hissing]

[hissing stops]

[laughing]

I'm with two of our lucky bakers
going to the finale.

-Andrew and April.
-[bakers cheering]

Please join the gallery.
Andrew, can you take this with you?

Thank you so much.
Don't light your hair on fire.

It looks flammable.
[makes whooshing sound]

And then there were three.

You have patiently sat and waited
a long time to bake again.

Here's how this is going to work.

All three of you will be baking today,

and you will be competing
for up to $10,000

and the last spot in the finale,

where one of you will go up against
Andrew and April,

and could win $50,000.

-[gallery whooping]
-Yes!

Let's get to it.

It's time to play Find That Cake.

When the cake wall spins around,

you're going to see six stands
holding different...

-toys.
-[groaning]

-[laughs]
-[Andrew] Oh!

Okay.

Five of those toys are real, and one is...

-Cake?
-[Mikey] ...cake.

Yes. Thank you, Sam.

[bakers laugh]

Cake Wall, spin!

You have 20 seconds
to lock in your answers on your keypads.

If you're the fastest,
you get to pick your item first.

Your time starts now!

[tense music playing]

[Mikey] Ten seconds, bakers.

Five seconds. Lock in an answer.

-Three, two, one.
-[bell dinging]

Time's up!

Okay, bakers. Let's see how you did.

Dessiree, you picked Number Two.

The building blocks.

-Mm-hmm.
-Let's see if you're right.

[tense music playing]

[gallery groaning]

-Not.
-I'm sorry, Dessiree. Not cake.

Okay. Hemu, you picked this dinosaur.

Why do you think this is cake?

I don't know. I haven't seen
this kind of dinosaur in the toy store

in the dinosaur section.

Hemu, on your frequent
dinosaur shopping sprees.

I know, right?

With bags, like Beverly Hills.

"Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, dinosaurs!"

"Dino clothes... where to?"

[laughing]

Sam, you also picked this dinosaur.

I was just getting really desperate.

[laughing]

All right, well, let's find out...

-Is it cake?
-[suspenseful music plays]

[Mikey hums a tune]

Oh ho ho!

-It's cake!
-[Hemu] It's cake!

[Hemu laughs] Yeah.

-Yes, it is cake.
-[Mikey] That's cake.

Okay! The two of you found it.

But the question is,
who found it the fastest?

Hemu! Congrats! You get first pick today.

You've never seen this in a store,
but you got it the fastest. So, well done.

-Thank you.
-It's time to play Is It Cake?

Bakers, each of you will get to choose
one of these toys

to make into a cake.

Hemu, you found it the fastest.

And you will get first pick.

-What's it going to be?
-Number One.

[Mikey] You chose the...

elephant in the room.

[laughing]

Wait, what? The show's canceled?

Why did you choose the elephant?

I want to challenge myself.

I wanna give myself something hard,
which I can pull off really well.

Way to take a risk. You guys are
adrenaline junkies. I love it.

-Okay.
-Hope it goes well.

What are you going to choose here, Sam?

Uh, I'm gonna do the chess.

[Mikey] The chess set!

Yeah, I personally don't even
know how to play chess.

You don't?

-I don't know how.
-[Hemu] No? Oh my God.

And finally, Dessiree.

What are you going to bake today?

Maybe I'll pick Number Five.

-Okay. If that's what your gut told you.
-But it's two ducks, Dessiree, so...

-A baby and a...
-It's a baby one. I have a little girl.

[gallery] Aw!

-[Dessiree] Mama ducky, baby ducky.
-Aw!

[Mikey] That's absolutely adorable.

[Mikey chuckles]

[sweetly] That's you
and that's your daughter?

[angrily] All right! Is it cake?

-[bakers laughing]
-[growls]

Okay, bakers. You have eight hours.

It's time to bake!

-Go guys!
-You got it, guys! Woo-hoo!

[whooping, clapping]

Hustle! Hustle! Hustle!

Good luck, everyone!

And I'm sorry
because you're competing with me.

[laughs] Really?
Okay, so the game is on, baby.

I know that my daughter, if she was here,

she just was screaming,
"Pick the duck! Pick the duck!"

So, that's why I did.

My daughter, she's ten.
And her name is Amanda.

She's the most important thing in my life.

Even when I'm working,
I always remind myself, this is for her.

And the most important for me
is that my daughter is proud of me.

I wanna get to the finale for her.

Hey, Dessi. What did you
choose for your flavors?

I tried to mix a lot of flavors
that my daughter, she loves.

I'm making vanilla cake,

cookies and cream buttercream,

chunky pieces of brownie,

and edible cookie dough
with chocolate chips.

-Oh, nice.
-Ooh.

-Interesting.
-Sounds good. I want a piece.

When you have a simple item that you have
to make, maybe they look easy.

They are not.

Because you need details
to hide imperfection.

So, this is a lot of concern
about the rubber ducky.

I wish I could have yours.

-You want mine?
-Yes.

When I was a kid, I literally
loved board games. But not chess.

I don't even know how many pieces
are on a chess board.

But I did watch The Queen's Gambit.

So, like, that's the extent
of my chess knowledge.

[laughs]

Let's see if I can be cleaner this time.
I'll look at your station for inspiration.

[laughs] Let's see how clean I am.

[Sam] I picked the chess set
because of the shape of the board.

It's the perfect cake pan size.

Luckily with this cake,
I won't have to carve it.

But I need to prioritize getting it even,
and straight, and perfectly square.

-You've got something in the oven?
-Yeah.

-Okay.
-This is just extra that I'll eat.

[laughs]

This bake is pretty important,

because whoever wins moves on,

and then the other two are out.

Moment of truth, really.

What you doing?

Oh, the strawberry.

I'm doing Strawberry Pop-Tart.

It'll be like a strawberry cake.

-[Dessiree] Okay.
-[Sam] And then, crushed up Pop-Tarts.

Then I do a homemade shortbread cookie.

That's good. I should make
that one for holidays.

The whole theme is, like, toys,
which is, like, kind of, kids.

And Pop-Tarts are, kind of, like, kids.

It's one of my favorite flavors.
I think the judges will like it.

So, she picked the elephant.
How would you guys go about it?

-[Jonny] I wouldn't.
-[Justin laughs]

-I'd be making the rubber duck.
-That's the one I would've picked.

But I would've completely
shot myself in the foot, I think.

Even the structure she has to worry about.

Yeah, it's crazy.

Hemu also, like, specializes
in this exact thing.

My skill set is all about
the details and sculpting.

I do a lot of sculpted cake.

So, making structured cake
is not a new thing for me.

I make a lot of them.
But never this small.

I'm just a little bit concerned
about the size of the elephant.

-Hemu!
-Yeah?

What flavor is your cake?

[Hemu] Dark chocolate
with raspberry chocolate ganache,

raspberry Swiss meringue buttercream,

and chopped milk chocolate.

-[Andrew] All in a little elephant?
-You fit a lot in that little guy.

Let's see.

It's a very small cake.

And I need to make sure
that those tiny bites,

they will get everything they need
in that single bite.

One of us is gonna make it to the finale,
against April and Andrew.

-What do you think?
-No fear, no pain.

[laughs]

[funky music playing]

Oh, hello, bakers!

Hello, Mikey.

I brought everyone some toys!

Which is weird to say
to a group of adults.

We have elephants,

chess sets,

and rubber duckies.

Get your decoys here! Get your decoys!

[Sam] In the gallery, you learn that
decoys are just as important as cake.

They, like, confuse the judges.

So, I just kind of want to distract them
with a bunch of crazy looking decoys

so they don't really know
what they're looking at.

[Mikey] All right, bakers! Six hours.

Six hours left!

This is going to be the first
structure cake in the whole...

-[Sam] Show. Yeah.
-Right?

The structure cake has a frame
to support the weight of the cake.

But making the structure,
getting it to the right size,

it's kind of complex.

So, I'm using thick wires
to make the legs.

And cardboard to make the body.

I'm trying to make it right. Let's see!

And aluminum foil to make
the head and the trunk structure.

How you doing, Hemu?

I'm fine.

I have to start
putting the modeling chocolate.

I'm going to form the details by adding
and bulking up with modeling chocolate.

I have to make sure
that I'm making it right size.

If I mess up my structure,
I cannot go back.

So, I'm gonna take my time
to make that structure right.

I have to be really precise.
Otherwise, I'm in trouble.

Bakers, I got a couple hours to kill,

so I'll teach myself chess.

I know, more than anything,

you like me yelling
what I'm currently doing at you.

[bakers chuckle]

[upbeat music playing]

[Mikey] We got rooks and knights.

Is this a knight or a rook?

Gotta always be three moves ahead. So...

[rubber duck squeaks]

Let's keep those squeaks down.
I'm trying to play chess.

You got about four hours left.

[rubber duck squeaks]

[chuckles] I'm sorry.

Where was I?

[Dessiree] The part that stresses me

is the smooth
of the fondant or the chocolate.

Because that can't show anything.

To make the duck's head,
I use the half-circle mold.

I make two half circles
with my cake pop mix.

And I use a different mold for the beak.

He's so cute.

He looks like he's wearing a mask.

[laughs]

The hardest element of the chess
board is replicating the wooden sides.

I am covering the cake
with the modeling chocolate-fondant mix,

and really being careful to get
the sides straight, get the edges sharp.

That's, like, never easy to do.

I'm also cutting strips
of modeling chocolate-fondant mix

to add all the trim detail on each side.

This whole thing reminds me
that I did a chess board, and it sucked.

And also the chess pieces,
they're so hard to mold.

I'm gonna make the chess pieces
out of melted candy melts.

That's something that holds shapes well.

And I'm gonna be pouring them
into silicone molds

that are the shape of chess pieces.

And then you have to clean them up
with a matte knife.

I can't decide if this makes me wanna
learn chess, or, like, never play it ever.

[bakers laughing]

[upbeat music playing]

[Hemu] I'm looking at my decoys.

It has brown
and grayish and violet kind of a tone,

so I'm adding the brown color
that's kind of a base color,

because it's gonna
go into the creases of those lines,

and then I'm gonna go with darker colors
like grayish and violet kind of a tone.

The colors. They're not coming good.

-[Sam] Colors are weird.
-I know.

[Hemu] My color is not
the same as the decoys.

And I'm freaking out,
like how to fix this.

You spend so much time detailing,
and then color goes off.

It's just not coming right.

This is my last chance to prove to my kids
and my family that I can do it best.

And to make my sister proud.

She's in heaven, and she was always
sharing my accomplishments.

I'm hoping I'll win the show for her.

[sighs]

I need to place the eyes on the duck.

So, I make a stencil for my duck.

And now he looks like a super duck.

-Sam, you wanna see my super power?
-Yeah.

-It's a super duck!
-[Sam] Oh my God. He's adorable!

Yes!

He's got the power to win $50,000.

He's really cute.

-Sam?
-Yeah?

How will you do the checkerboard?

I think I'll do a guideline
and then paint on top of it.

-Jonny, come here.
-[Jonny] Uh-oh.

-Do a time call.
-[Jonny] Oh, really?

Yeah. Say, "One hour..."
Say "One hour left."

[nervously] Um... One hour left, you guys.

-[Mikey laughs]
-Come on, Jonny!

[Jonny] Okay, teach me your way.

-Give it some confidence.
-All right.

Guys! Seriously, though. One hour left!

-You're hired.
-Thank you.

The most that I'm afraid is the texture,

how smooth it's gonna look.

I don't want something that is too matte,
and I don't want something too shiny.

I want something in the middle.

So, I get the shortening.

Shortening is shiny, but not too shiny
like when you place oil on it.

Thirty minutes! Thirty minutes left!

-What do you think of the color?
-Looks way better.

Yeah.

After blending more colors,
I'm happy with the color.

It's looking more like the decoys.

Sculpting that tiny elephant,
making his face right,

making the trunk size right.

Everything is hard about this cake.

This seven-inch tiny elephant toy can
take me to the finale or eliminate me.

All right, bakers, five minutes left!

Trim your fondant. Do what you need to do.

[upbeat music playing]

Feeling good about my cake.

I'm definitely glad I put that work
into the pieces and the checkerboard.

I'm hoping those fine details
could help me get to the finale.

This works.

One minutes, bakers! One minute left!

[energetic music playing]

[Mikey] Three, two, one.
Okay, time's up, bakers!

[cheering]

-[Mikey] Best of luck to all of you.
-[sighs]

Hemu. Sam. Dessiree.

You've been working for hours
to perfect your cakes,

in the hopes of claiming that last spot
in the finale. No pressure.

[whooping, clapping]

And it all comes down
to our wonderful judges.

She's a comedian, TikTok star,
and all-around internet sensation.

Brittany Broski!

[cheering]

[whoops]

Your stuff is wonderfully accessible.

It's a lot of you talking to camera
and having fun.

Where you're just that low-angle,
like, "What's up?"

How many chins in one video
is really the goal.

[laughing]

Actor, comedian, and...

Oh, man, this is so gross,
she wrote her bio herself.

"The star of Saturday Night Live,

where she regularly outshines Mikey

and has lots of cool projects coming up"?

-[laughing]
-[Mikey] Heidi Gardner.

[whooping]

Hi.

Hi, Mikey. Thank you for reading that.

No problem.

This is a favor gig.

You constantly remind me.

[chuckles] I know.

All right. And actor, comedian,

and you know him from the Netflix series
Cobra Kai...

-Yeah.
-[Mikey] Mr. Dan Ahdoot!

Thank you, sir!

[whooping]

-Yes! Let's go!
-You also have a podcast.

-Green Eggs and Dan, right?
-Yes.

-Best-named podcast ever.
-Absolutely.

Do you feel prepared to look at cakes?

I cannot... imagine
that someone can convince me

that something is not a cake
when it's a cake. Or vice versa.

-Ooh!
-[Dan] Yeah.

Shots fired!

-Meet these people!
-[gallery laughing]

They're all like,
"Give me eight hours, I can do it."

Judges, the three of you
have 20 seconds to find the cake

and agree on one answer and enter it
on the keypad in front of Heidi.

First up is Hemu.

Cake Wall, spin!

All right, judges,
you will see five cake stands,

each with a toy elephant on them.

But one of those elephants, guys, is cake!

Let's see if you can figure out which one.

Your time starts now!

-[Heidi] Oh my God. Um...
-[Dan] Are you... This is... No.

[Brittany laughs] "This is no."

[Heidi] Oh my God! Um...

[Dan] What?

-Oh my God!
-Oh, it's Two. It's Two.

-[Heidi] Two?
-[Dan] I think it's Two also!

Oh my God...

[Dan] It has a shine to it, like marzipan.

[Mikey laughs]

-But all of them have shines to them...
-[Brittany] I know fondant!

-[Heidi] Um...
-[Mikey] Ten seconds!

Number Five. Look at the belly.
There's extra little elephant belly.

-She's just pregnant.
-[Mikey] Five seconds!

Two looks to me...
Maybe it's just the closest one to me.

-Oh my God.
-[Dan] Five is weird too.

-Five has red spots.
-Three seconds!

-Two does have...
-Two!

-[judges yell]
-[Mikey] One!

[bell dinging]

[Mikey] Time's up.

That got intense.

You guys selected Number Two.

How are we feeling?

I think we got through it in the end.
We really bonded together.

It's not about the destination,
it's the friends we made along the way.

-[laughing]
-[Dan] Wait.

I don't agree with that.

If we don't get this right, I don't
want to speak to any of you ever again.

-[Heidi] My God.
-[laughing]

[exhales deeply] All right, Hemu.
This is a big moment.

Favorite part of the show, grab the knife.

Oh.

[Mikey] Hemu, if this is a toy elephant,

you are still in the race
for that last spot in the finale.

If it's cake, you will be eliminated.

Let's find out.

[menacingly] Is it cake?

[tense music playing]

-[Heidi] Right in half... Oh!
-Oh.

[Dan gasps]

Not cake!

-[whooping]
-[upbeat music plays]

Thank you.

Wow.

-Hemu! Congratulations, girl.
-Thank you.

Thank you so much
for not guessing my cake.

-Anytime.
-"Thank you for being easily fooled."

Hemu. Since the judges couldn't find it,

I think you should come up
and reveal your cake.

And look right into Dan's eyes
when you cut it.

-Yeah. He says it's an easy game, so...
-Oh!

[chuckles]

[suspenseful music playing]

-No.
-Oh!

Oh!

[Dan] Hemu!

-That's classic Hemu right there.
-[laughing]

-[Mikey] Messing with you.
-Let's not play more.

Elephant belly. This is it.

This is it.

[judges groan]

-Oh!
-[gallery whooping]

[Mikey] Yes, cut that elephant's ass off.

Look at that.

Oh, that's cake!

[Dan] You guys are really artists.

That is wild.

-[Brittany] That's impressive.
-That's amazing.

All right, well done, Hemu.
You fooled the judges.

Thank you so much. Thank you, guys.

-Yeah!
-[Hemu] It means a lot. Thank you.

Okay, judges, are you ready
for our next baker?

-Yes!
-Her name is... Thank you, Dan!

-[Dan laughs]
-[Mikey] Her name is Sam.

She made a chess set.

Which sounds insane.

All right, Cake Wall, spin!

All right, judges, five chess sets
are on their way around right now.

But only one of them is cake!

Let's see if you can find it.

Your time starts right now.

-[Brittany] Come on!
-[Heidi] God.

[Dan] I don't understand what's happening.

One is cake! I think One is cake.

-[Brittany] Why?
-[Dan] I don't know!

Two is cake because they were like,
"I'm gonna do the whole thing."

Yeah, above and beyond?
I think Three is cake.

[Mikey] Ten seconds.

[Heidi] There's obviously silver on Four.
So, it's not that.

Wait, what about Five?
There's no pieces on Five.

Why are there no pieces on Five?

[Brittany] Four looks
like someone ate half of 'em.

[Dan] One, 'cause...

-Three, two, one.
-[judges yell]

-Lock it in! [yells]
-[bell dinging]

[Mikey softly] Time's up.
That was intense.

You guys went with Two.

All right. Let's see how you did.

-Are you confident in your decision?
-No.

-[Brittany laughs]
-Yup.

-[Dan] No.
-I am, in my decision.

This was all me.

You went with your own answer?!

Heidi went rogue!

I did. I decided I wanted Number Two.

I don't think either judge agreed with me.

-This show is tearing our family apart.
-[laughing]

You locked in Number Two.

Or, should I say,
Heidi locked in Number Two?

-[Brittany giggles]
-So, let's see.

Sam, it comes down to this.

If this is cake, you will be eliminated.

If it's not,
you could be up for the win today

and move on to the finale.

So, we need to ask one question.

Is it cake?

[exhales] I'm nervous.

[clears throat]

[tense music playing]

-[judges groaning]
-It is not cake!

[cheering]

Dang.

-Congrats, Sam! You deceived our judges.
-Thank you.

That means you're up for the win,

and you could be battling it out
against Andrew and April in the finale.

All right, well, Sam, please come up here
and reveal your cake.

Okay.

I have knives everywhere.

I'll be so impressed if it's Number Five.

-It's not Five.
-[laughing]

It's not Five.

We're going to group counseling
after this.

I feel very unheard in this moment.

-[Dan] Yeah. Oh my God.
-[Brittany] There you go.

That is a chess cake.

-[clapping]
-[Mikey] Beautiful cut!

You guys tricked us too hard on this one.
I don't agree with the show.

-[Dan] Yeah, yeah.
-[bakers laughing]

And now it's time
for our final baker, Dessiree.

Dessiree made something
we've all seen before, rubber duckies.

[Heidi] Oh, fun.

All right. Cake Wall, spin!

Judges, you're
about to see five cake stands.

Four of them hold rubber duckies.

One of them has duckies made of cake.

Try and find them, if you dare.

All right, your time starts now!

[Heidi] Oh my God!

A hundred percent, it's One! No question!

-[Heidi] A hundred percent, One?
-[Brittany] I think I might agree.

[Heidi groans] I wanna pick Three!

[Mikey] Ten seconds.

[Heidi] Four is so shiny.

[Brittany] Number Five,
you can see through it.

I think it's plastic. Rule that out.

We both think it's One, Heidi!
Don't do this again!

But I have the power!

-Three, two, one.
-Four is shiny, but it is One.

[bell dinging]

[Mikey] Time is up.

All right, judges. You chose Number One.

-Oh my God. That was funny.
-[Heidi sighs]

There was some division, on the ends.

Dan, Brittany, you guys
were saying One. Heidi...

I was saying Four, because it's so shiny.

-I think that's baker shine technology.
-[Brittany] Definitely baker shine.

All right, should we see,
just to put Heidi at ease?

Yep.

[tense music playing]

[squeaking]

-[laughing]
-[Brittany] That scared me.

-[squeaking]
-Could still be cake!

[laughing]

[squeaking]

That's the saddest rubber ducky squeak
I've ever heard.

[imitates whining squeak]

In Heidi's defense,
it could be the little duck is the cake.

-[Heidi] Yes.
-[squeaking]

[laughing]

You selected Number One.

Yeah.

Brittany, Dan.
You guys were all-in on this one.

-Till the end. Besties.
-Heidi, can you take a step back, please?

I have nothing to do with this.

If someone goes home, it's you two.

Thank you.

All right, Dessiree. If these duckies
are rubber and squeaky,

you're still in the game.

If they're cake, you will be
eliminated from the competition.

So, let's find out.

Is it cake?

[tense music playing]

All right.

Ooh.

That is cake.

-That's cake.
-[Brittany] That's what I'm talking about.

-[Heidi] Oh.
-[Brittany] Ooh.

-[Dan] Ooh. Wow.
-[Heidi] Ooh, it looks good.

[Mikey] It is cake.

Oh.

-[April] Dessi.
-[Justin] She did well.

-[Heidi] Woo-hoo-hoo!
-[Mikey] Dessiree!

Lo siento.

Mi amor.

I'm sorry. You're no longer
in the competition

and won't move on to the finale.

But you should be incredibly proud
of the cakes you've made.

-I am.
-[Mikey] You're insanely talented.

I love you. You're amazing.

I know our judges
would love to have a taste.

So, why don't you come up here
and cut them a slice.

And tell us about the flavors.

So, this is a vanilla cake,
with a cookies and cream buttercream.

With little chunky brownies on it.

-And edible cookie dough, chocolate chips.
-[Brittany] Tastes like ice cream.

-Thank you so much. There we go.
-You're welcome.

[Heidi] Mm.

-So good.
-Oh wow.

Your daughter's so lucky.

[Mikey] Aw.

I liked that there was
the cookie dough in there.

That actually reminded me
of a Ben & Jerry's ice cream, but cake.

Dessiree, what did the competition
mean to you?

I feel proud. And show my daughter
that every dream, you can get it.

-She can be very proud.
-Yes. I know she's proud already.

You were fantastic.

-Good job, Dessiree.
-[whooping]

[Mikey] Awesome.

Amazing.

All right, well,
Hemu and Sam, congratulations.

-You made incredible cakes.
-[whooping, clapping]

And, judges, in case you forgot,

the winner of today's competition will be
our last baker to move on to the finale

for a chance to win $50,000.

So, it all comes down
to the taste and details.

Cake Wall, spin around.

All right, judges. Go to your cakes.

All right, Hemu, can you tell the judges
about the flavors?

[Hemu] It's a chocolate cake
with, uh, raspberry-chocolate ganache,

raspberry Swiss meringue buttercream,
and chocolate.

-It tastes like marshmallowy.
-Yeah.

It tastes like the chocolate
from, like, a giant Easter bunny.

Mm. Yeah.

It's very summery. That raspberry.

-Mm-hm.
-Mm!

-[Brittany] Very delicious.
-[Heidi] It's so good!

There's so much flavor
in this elephant belly. It's delicious.

[Dan] The little slashes.
It adds such a realism.

I'm still thinking this is a toy.

-This is not a cake at all. Even close.
-It definitely looks plastic.

[Mikey] All right, Sam,
tell the judges about your cake.

[Sam] Okay, so I did a strawberry
toaster strudel cake.

It's strawberry cake with cream cheese,
sliced strawberries.

-There's, like, some crispy crunch pearls...
-Mmm!

...homemade shortbread,
strawberry toaster strudels.

-[Brittany] Mm!
-Oh my God.

[Dan] It's so delicious.

I love the ratio of cake to cream.

-[Brittany] That is delicious!
-[Sam] Get a strawberry bite.

Yeah. And then, yeah,
the board looks incredible.

[Dan] The checker detail's amazing.
It really looks like wood.

-Yeah.
-I don't know how she did that.

So, the whole thing's a mix
of hand-painting and airbrush.

-Okay.
-I wanna double-dip so bad.

-This is cool. What we've done.
-This is awesome.

-Yeah.
-Yeah! Checkmate!

[laughing]

All right, judges, you've gotten
a closer look at these cakes.

You've eaten a lot of them,

but only one of these bakers
can move on to the finale,

so now it's time
to deliberate and decide who it is.

[whispering] I'm thinking
it's definitely chess board.

-I mean, I think so, too.
-[Brittany] What do you think?

But the elephant looked more like a toy.

[inhales deeply]

This is it.

I hate this part.

-It blew my mind.
-Yeah.

And also, up close,
it still looks like a toy,

except for the cake that we see and ate.

-But it looks like a toy.
-[Dan] Right.

Start doing, like, jumping jacks.

I think, visually,
that's a more insane mission.

But I mean,

-the taste of that one was very good.
-[Brittany] I know.

Judges, you've taken
a closer look at the cakes.

You've tasted it.

You maimed one, destroyed another.

But it's time for a decision.

So, um, this is so hard because both
Hemu's elephant and Sam's chess board

visually are stunning.

They're total toys.

They're, like, so delicious.

It's a super hard decision.

But the cake that we picked

on taste and toy-ability...

[tense music playing]

...is Hemu's elephant.

-[clapping]
-[Mikey] Hemu!

-[upbeat music playing]
-[whooping]

Aw! Congratulations, Hemu!

-You just won $5,000.
-Thank you so much.

And you are the last baker

to join Andrew and April in the finale

-to face off for $50,000!
-[bakers clapping, whooping]

How do you feel?

I really feel great.

Coming this far and presenting myself
in front of all you guys. I'm grateful.

Thank you so much.

All right, bakers,
let's show our amazing judges some love.

-Thank you, Brittany, Heidi, and Dan!
-[game show music playing]

Cake Wall, spin!

Take these beautiful people away.
You made it!

I have vertigo. This is not good for me.

Bye!

-[Mikey] It's darkness.
-[Heidi] Bye!

-[Heidi] Where are we going? No!
-[Dan] Help!

-[judges yelling]
-[Dan] Oh my God! Oh my God!

The screams of the unknown.

Sam, you worked so hard.
How are you doing?

Honestly, just happy to be here.
Everybody's, like, so talented.

[Mikey] Yes.

And Hemu totally deserves to move on.

-Aw.
-I'm excited to see the finale.

-You're amazing. You're so amazing.
-Aw!

Sam and Dessiree, I'm sorry.
You know I hate this part. It sucks.

-[Hemu] You guys are the best.
-You guys are insanely talented.

But you've been
eliminated from the competition.

I'm very proud of you guys.

What you do is far beyond my knowledge.

And it's truly incredible.

But now, please go have a seat
in the gallery.

[clapping]

All right, Hemu.

You are the final baker
headed into the finale.

And the last person who gets to do this.

It's time for Cake or Cash?

I always wanted to play this game.

Let me put on my glasses first.

Ooh!

She's suited up!

She went from Superman to Clark Kent mode.

-[laughs]
-Cake Wall, show us your worst!

On the other side of the cake wall
are two piggy banks.

Hm.

[Mikey] One of those piggy banks
has a whole bunch of money stashed in it.

And the other one, Hemu,

is cake.

If you guess the cake, you get the cash.

You have 15 seconds
to determine which one is cake.

And your time starts now!

-[tense music playing]
-[timer beeps]

[sighs] It's tough.

[Mikey] Yeah.

[timer beeping]

Five seconds, Hemu.

-[beeping faster]
-Gotta lock it in.

Lock it in! Three, two, one.

[rapid beeping]

[bell dinging]

[baker whoops]

[bakers clapping]

[Mikey] Okay, Hemu. You went with
Number One. Tell me why that one.

[Hemu] No idea. [laughs]

So, the scientific method
of just guessing?

-Yeah.
-I mean, that's what I would have to do.

Those look identical.

[groans] My heart's beating.

All right, Hemu.
Let's see if you're right.

-I'm rooting for you.
-Okay.

[Hemu, Nina chuckling]

[suspenseful music playing]

Hemu, you went with Number One.

If this is cake, you win another $5,000.

-So, I ask you...
-Yes?

...is it cake?

It should be.

I agree.

[Mikey exhales]

[tense music playing]

[Hemu] Yes!

-[upbeat music plays]
-[clapping, cheering]

It's cake!

Hemu, you just won another $5,000!

That means you're walking away today

with a grand total of $10,000!

-Clark Kent with the glasses.
-[Hemu] Thank you!

You're heading right into the finale

to challenge Andrew and April.

It's on!

But only one of you
can be the grand champion

and take home that $50,000 prize.

Will it be Andrew, the green man,

April, the titan of Toronto...

-Ooh!
-...or will it be our newest addition Hemu,

the master sculptor of tiny elephants?

-[laughing]
-I'll work on a better nickname.

Whoa!

[yells] Warn me before
you move the cake wall!

[laughing, whooping]

Mikey, we love you!

[closing theme music playing]
