We Are: The Brooklyn Saints (2021–…): Season 1, Episode 4 - Any Darn Day - full transcript

Please stand clear
of doors and hold onto hand rails.

Please stand clear of doors
and hold onto hand rails.

The doors are now closing.

Ready for fun. Now it's time to have fun.

It's five o'clock, right?

Whoo!

It's five o'clock, baby.

Go in my pocket…

call the bartender.

Yeah, welcome Brooklyn to Florida, huh?

They should have left me in Brooklyn. Haa!

If you're a resident of Central Florida,
I want to welcome you home.

If you are one of our 75 million visitors,

welcome to the City Beautiful.

There is something for everyone.

Enjoy your visit.

It was me and, um, Tay-Tay, right?

And number three was in the middle of us,

I came from behind
and Tay-Tay came from the front.

We squashed him. He was like…

Florida is pretty much
a round-robin style tournament.

We have teams that come
from all over the nation

that have done really well in their areas,

and now they all travel out to Florida,
play for a national championship.

Okay.

It's different in Florida. It really is.
They take football way seriously.

They're bigger people. Taller, stronger…

So you just always gotta have
a mentality of,

even if you're not fast enough
you'll try your hardest.

If you win your first game,
you automatically in the winners' bracket,

where you have the opportunity
to play for the national championship

and possibly win a ring.

Even if you lose the first game,

you still have the opportunity,
but it gets a little harder.

We worked all year

for this event right here.

When we go on the field,

it's strictly business.

-Okay?
- Yes, coach.

But you gotta be focused.

Your first and last name
and your date of birth.

-Dalontai Davis, August 8, 2009.
- Nice and loud.

Aiden Vitale.

Legacy.

It's something that's done
in the past that…

in the future,
people will look back at you

and say you did a great job.

- Good afternoon.
- Good afternoon, sir!

-What is your last name, please?
-Jackson.

-What is your first name?
-Miguel.

Today, y'all have the opportunity
to create your own legacy.

Edward Harrison.

Thank you.
What's your date of birth?

Two thousand, um… 2000…

No, no.

-June 6th…
- Okay.

-How you doing, son? What's good?

How you doing?

Down here, head up.

Head up.

That's it, that's it. You hear me?

-Yes, yes, yes.
-Lo…

It's your show, baby.

It's your show, son. We made it.
We worked hard to get here, right?

-Yes.
-We work hard to get here?

-Yes.
-Did we work hard to get here?

Yes.

I ain't got no teeth
in the front of my mouth.

- Check! Check!
- Check! Check!

Listen…

I want y'all to take a look at this.
Y'all see this?

Yes, coach!

This is what your coaches want, man.

-You're the coach, right?
-Yes, sir.

That's why he wearing it.

We want the right
to go back to our hood with this.

There's only one way.

Wouldn't y'all like to see
Coach Gawuala rocking that?

- Yes.
-That's how we get it, man.

They earned their right, man.

Y'all clap it up for the man.
Give him a round of applause, man.

Thanks.
I just wanted them to see it up close.

Let's go. Thank you.

Yeah, this is nice.

Yo, where you at?

Taking this sacrifice
and having to start this new job,

I knew it was gonna be all over for me.

They always say
good things come to an end, so…

if this is the ending,

I'mma go out with a bang.

Don't be taking no--

But they have three showers
in the house.

Two! Three! Van is out!

Oh! Ow! Oh!

Hey, pick those back up!

One! Two!

No! I'm up, I'm up!

Y'all gonna win these games
so we can have a pool party?

Yeah!

I'd rather have a pool party today!

There's a game tomorrow.
We can't lose our energy for tomorrow.

I got a feeling
we gonna win this game.

Coach Gawuala!

- Look, it's a lizard!
- Lizard!

- Where?
- Right there.

Oh, wow! It's a "GEICO."

It's a gecko.

-Oh, it's a gecko, not a "GEICO"?
- "GEICO."

-It's a "GEICO"?
- Yeah.

-Not a gecko?
- It's a "GEICO."

It's a "GEICO"?
So, we could get car insurance from him?

Uh-huh.

-Who ready?
- We ready!

-Who ready?
-We ready!

-Who the show?
-We the show.

-Who got the power?
-We got the power!

-Who ready?
-We ready!

-Yeah!
-Yeah.

- We A.D.D.!
- We A.D.D.!

-We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.D.!

- Don't forget the chicken nuggets--
-Yeah!

Yeah.

- Yeah?
- Go to sleep.

Let's go. Lay down. In bed.

Make sure y'all brush y'all teeth!

Let's go, gentlemen. Hurry up.

Can I go upstairs?

- Huh?
- I gotta go to the bathroom.

Nah, we gotta play.
We got a game. We gotta go.

We're going to the field.

Everybody got their helmet,
shoulder pads, and mouth pieces?

Yes, coach.

Today, we gonna get off this bus

and we gonna walk in there
like we wanna win.

We gonna be a machine.

A machine operates together
and it becomes a unit.

We are a unit.

-Is that understood?
- Yes, coach!

- Am I my brother's keeper?
- You already know!

-Am I my brother's keeper?
-You already know!

-One, two, three!
-Saints!

-Four, five, six!
-Family!

-Seven, eight!
-Lay it on!

-Nine, ten!
-Watch out, y'all!

Let me get my captain.

It's me and you against the world.

- Get over here.
-Today, we gonna take this.

- Zip, zip!
- Body bag!

-Where they at?
-Body bag!

All right, are you speaking, Captain?

I got a UYFL coin right there.
That's heads… that's tails.

You being the visiting team,
we get you to call it in the air.

Say it loud enough so Mr. Ref and Mr. Ref
can hear it. All right, here we go.

-Tails.
-You said tails.

Tails, it is.

They gonna kick off
to these guys over here.

The Saints.
Saints gonna receive the ball.

Shake hands, let's play football.

Good game. Have a good game.

We all we got! We all we need!

Let's go, let's go!

Set… hut!

Come on!

Damn!

Y'all gotta block!
Y'all gotta block a bit.

Come on, Tito!

- Hold the ball!

-Good job.

That's a good run.

There it is,
right there! Right there!

Oh, come on, Marcus!

-They need to wake up!
-Wake up!

Let's go, Saints!

There you go, Man Man! You did it!

-Come on, harder!

Get down!

Go!

- Ah!

- Go, go!
-That way!

Keep going, D-Lo!

God damn!

The referee, he ain't see the ball.

That's the game.

Let's go, Saints. Let's go!

It's all right.
So what? We lost.

-Did we have time to prepare?
-No, coach.

-Did we get time to practice?
-No.

So it's not our fault!

-It's not your fault!
-Yes, coach.

Good job!

- We still got more games!
- Yes!

Good game, y'all.
Good game, coach.

I believe in y'all. Keep going.

I believe in y'all. I believe in y'all.

Ow!

Can't feel it.

Now they've got you!

Plank.

Y'all not respecting
your brothers doing homework?

Complete the equation.

Mmm. Got you, right?

Three…

times six.

I tackled number 24,
um, three times.

Yo, I hit number--

I popped number 40, bro.
He was on the floor.

I kept on going for number 24.

I wasn't really trying to.

Ah, man, I wish I was still eight.
I mean, nine.

Why?

-So I could still play with 9U.
-Facts.

You get to learn
more than you normally do

when you play on a higher level.

When you get older…

'Cause, like, when you get older, right?

Like, it's not like…

You can't even play around
like you normally do.

Coach is not gonna be the funnest.

I'm gonna miss Coach Gawuala
because that's the hype man.

He always gets everybody hype, so…

that's why I'm gonna miss Coach Gawuala.

- I bust right through the line.
- You ignorant.

Sorry.

- Hey. Whoo-whoo.
-Let me see how you dance.

-How do you dance? Come on.
- I don't wanna dance.

Back that way…

-Should be in the middle.
- Huh?

-I said, I should be in the middle.
- Yes, you should.

The Hot Seat?
What is The Hot Seat?

Ooh!

Okay. Okay!

I like this.

Good job, great job.

Great job.

Good job.

- Get away, get away!

I wanna give this to Daddy.

-You want one?
- I'm fine. Thanks.

I wanna give this to Daddy.
Can you hold it?

All righty then.

A gift to me to you.

-Thank you, sir.
-Welcome.

-See, I got one, too.
- Ready?

Got the ax!

- I hope y'all win tomorrow.
-Yeah.

Y'all have to win tomorrow.

As D-Lo team captain, like…

what's your goal tomorrow?

If I was captain,

I would tell you two things
that I would put out there.

Uh, you know the weak link right now
is on that left side, right?

You need to encourage Van.

Encourage Marcus.

Just communicate
with your team,

and choose your words wisely.

Okay?

Yeah.

Tired?

You ready to go?

No, what?

I'm tired, but I ain't ready to go.

Everybody up.

Get your clothes on that you wearing.

You wanted a waffle for LJ?

- Ask him if he wants one, yeah.
- LJ!

How many more waffles you want?

-One?
- Yes, please.

 Tom Brady's trash now.

He's old!

Tom Brady's old.

Lamar Jackson took over.
Everybody knows that.

Lamar Jackson took over.

What do you think?

Nah. It don't hurt.

It just hurts
when I'm trying to pull it out.

Tell him to stop hitting me!

No yelling. No throwing.

Hold it.

Don't start.

I got it. Yo. I can wrap it.

-Tape.
-Try it.

Let me see. Try and turn it.

- Looks good.
-Good.

-Hey!

Yeah, it hurts to move it.

Try it.

- Rule number one.
-Have fun!

-Rule number two.
-Have fun!

-Rule number three.
-Have fun!

That's all you have to do today! Let's go!

Yes, coach!

Let everything out today,
you hear me? Everything!

Don't hold back for nothing.

No stiff-arms today.

If you gonna run, stay like this,
drop your shoulder and go forward.

Hold your hands.

Yo, if we beat up on these guys,
we still got a chance

to get the national championship,
but we gotta beat up on them.

-Got you.
- Line up.

Let it all hang out today, baby.

- …Two! Three!
- One! Two! Three!

-Four! Five! Six!
-Four! Five! Six!

D-Lo, Miguel.
Captains, let's go.

All vets, only vets. You next year.

This might be their last game.
Let them go together.

-How y'all feel?
- You know!

-How y'all feel?
-You know!i

That's it. That's it.

All right, gentlemen,
shake hands. Good luck to both teams.

- Good luck.
- Good luck. Have fun!

Show 'em how to do it, Mata.

This is you, Miguel. Go get it.
Go get it, go get that ball!

Let's go!
Get there, get there, get there!

-Okay!

Good job. Let's go, let's go. Let's go.

They're coming your way, Tito!

- Yeah! Yeah!

-Yes! Yes!

Don't y'all run on Marcus!

Way to go, Marcus!

- Let's go, Marcus!
- Marcus!

Let's go, D-Lo. We got it.

Set… go!

Come on, Jack!

Oh, come on!

Go! Go!

No.

Marcus!

Ball! Get that ball!

- Oh, my God!
- We got it.

It's all right! It's okay!

Move in!

Right there!

There you go!

Don't get mad yet, Aiden!
Still second quarter.

Let's go, let's go!
Hey, let's go!

Let's go! Run, run!

Line up! Line up!

Just get on the line.
Just line up and push, D-Lo.

I need a breather.

Get right next
to Marcus! Let's go!

D-Lo, let's go!

Catch your breath,
D-Lo! You got it!

Get set! Get set!

Let's go.

D-Lo, we need you, baby.
You the captain, bro.

- Watch the ball!
- Keep your head up, baby boy!

There's nobody over there
in the green. Move up!

Come on, D-Lo!

D-Lo!

- D-Lo, get in the backfield!
- I told you. Come this way.

Get up!

I don't know
what D-Lo's doing right now.

Go!

Get up there!

Go, D-Lo!

D-Lo, keep running!
Don't look back!

Just step away!

Everyone step away and take a knee.

My time, coach!
Come on out, coach!

Coach, you got a man down!

Guys, move it inside the numbers.

- Coach Vick, it's his finger.
-Give him room.

-Give him room.

It's your finger?

- Okay. Need you to get up.

Get up. You're a Davis. Get up!

Run off the field.
Get up and run off the field.

- He all right? What happened?
-Come on.

Come on.

- Sit down.

Look at me.

I'm proud of you. If you're done…

If you're done…

you're done.

You hear me?

You make that decision.

I'mma stick by you, whatever you make.
All right?

I know you wanna play,

but if you in pain and you can't play,
that's not worth getting it worse.

Okay?

Suck it up, then.

-Aight?

He got the thing on it,
but he in pain.

- Get him!
- Get him! Get the ball!

Yo! Yo, come on!

He came right into them!

It's over, D-Lo?

It's over.

Y'all put one in for D-Lo.

D-Lo, come on.

We're gonna stand tall
for Brother D-Lo

'cause D-Lo stood with his team

and made sure he put
this team on his back,

and he carried us far a ways.

So today, we'll put D-Lo on our back,
and we're gonna carry him far a ways.

-Is that understood?
- Yes, coach!

Go, man! Let's go! Let's go!

Let's go, boy!

That's what I said.
Brooklyn is going to win…

Got you.

Go! Go!

Go, D-Lo! Go, D-Lo! You got 'em!

You got it, D-Lo!

D-Lo! Thank you!

Thank you!

We still could win!
We still could win! Look at the time!

Let's go, D-Lo! Let's go!

That's right, D-Lo! Go, D-Lo!

I love you, D-Lo! That's right!
Let's go.

-Let's get this ball back!
- Yes! Let's go!

That's it! Right there!
Good one! That's it!

- Go, D-Lo!
-Yeah, yeah, yeah! Do it!

Ka-boom!

Get him!

Go, go, go! Go! Don't get stuck!

Yeah, that's right, Miguel! Yeah!

Go, go, go!

Run!

Yes! Yes, okay! Okay!

Okay! Come on! Line up.

Come to Gawuala! Gimme five! Gimme five!

Thank you! Thank you!

Line up on the 50.

This is how y'all end
y'all season. You see me?

This is how y'all… Pick your head up!
So what, we lost! So what!

It's a lesson learned!

Don't worry about it.

We made it to this shit
three years in a row!

Good job! Let's go! Let's walk it off!

Brooklyn! Brooklyn!

Brooklyn! Brooklyn!

I'm so proud of you.
You never gave up on your team.

I love you, D-Lo.

I'm so proud of you. Good job.

This is
our last year together.

This might be our last game.

But it never finish us.

Because it's a beginning!

Because you gonna move on
to do better and greater.

I love you.
It's me and you against the world.

Always us and never them.

Pick your head up, bro.
Pick your head up.

Come on, now, give this man a hug, yo.

Let's go.

I'm… I'm never even…

Great work today!

-That's the way you fight in a game!
- Hell, yeah.

That's the way you come back!

That's great work!

D-Lo, stand up!

Miguel, stand up!

Aiden, Marcus, stand up!

Give it up! Pick y'all heads up!

Y'all my vets!

Y'all move up next year
to bigger and greater things!

-Is that understood?
-Yes, coach!

-Am I my brother's keeper?
- You already know!

-We A.D.D.!
- We A.D.D.!

-We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.D.!

-We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.--

- Kodak Black?
-Kodak Black.

Is that cereal?
Is that your snack for the bus?

- No!
- Come on, Marcus.

Are you gonna
eat that all by yourself?

I don't know.

Baby.

-All right. All right.
-Yeah.

-I got Gatorade for you on the bus.
-Pizza?

Do you have anything…
Do you have the Chips Ahoy?

No. They were all gone.

Hey, good morning. How are you?

Hurry up with y'all suitcases, yo!

Got you. Got that?

Bring it in.

This is the end of a season

but a beginning
of a lifetime of brotherhood.

-Understood?
- Yes, coach!

Do not hesitate to call Gawuala
to say, "What's up?"

To check on Coach Gawuala.

To ask Coach Gawuala
to come hang out with you guys.

I will have no problems with doing that.

-Is that understood?
-Yes, coach!

And that, that goes…

All of this goes…

Good morning, young lady.
How are you this morning?

Not right now.
If I find out that you won't…

If I find out that you won't…

It's what life throws at you.

You just gotta be strong.
You gotta be prepared.

Never can be prepared, but, you know…

Stay ten toes down.

Yeah.

We gonna be all right.
We definitely gonna be all right.

Want that Mickey Mouse earring I got?

-No.

Telling you…

Mickey Mouse earring
was hard back in the days.

Gotta bring it back.

Trying to be like your brothers.
Just too old, man.

-Hey, how's it going, man?
- How are you?

All right. I'm bringing him in today
to get his ear pierced. Just one ear.

Okay. Which side?

Left.

This one is called
the healing earring.

When it heals, then you could
use something else of your choice.

- Okay.
-Okay?

-Okay.
-All right.

- That's good?
-Yeah.

Yeah, I remember when Aaron asked
to get his ears pierced.

I remember when I got mine.
So I'm surprised you never asked.

Then, all of a sudden,
Mommy said you asked…

I said, wow, that's scary.

Stay still.

Ready? Don't move.

You've felt worse.

Mm-hmm.

That one little tear coming out?

-No. I told you.

After I came from the hospital,

they gave me four needles,
nothing scares me no more.

You think
you cute now, huh?

- All right?
-Okay.

All right.

-Thank you.
- You're welcome, sir.

Maybe not now. I wanna…

Hey, Ma.

We on our way to Kenan's signing day
in Staten Island.

Signing day? What's that?

Like, with the colleges.

They basically have a replica of that
for the kids going into high school.

-Oh.
-So, I'm out here…

I have this choice
to make about high school

and it's between two schools.

Erasmus Hall, where my brother
has played football,

and Christ the King
that has a good robotics program.

Welcome to signing day.
Like to welcome back all of our veterans.

We're gonna have some
of our alumni come up and, uh,

choose which high schools
they will be attending in the fall. So…

I'd like to welcome to the stage,
Chauncey Mims.

Let's hear a round
of applause for Chauncey.

All right, Chauncey, where you will
be bringing your talents in the fall?

I'm going to, uh…

Christ the King.

- All right! Yeah!

Let's hear it!

Coach Gamble picks up a player.

We got another declaration coming up.
Kenan?

- Go, Kenan! Get 'em, baby!

Here we go. This is the sauce.

I think everyone's been wondering
where you wanna play football.

He didn't even make it complicated.

He didn't even have three schools.
He only had two schools.

And that was it.

And those have been the two schools
he's been going back and forth with

for a long time now, right?

I don't even know which school he's gonna
choose, to be honest with you. And, um…

we're all waiting to hear it.
All right? So,

Kenan, I'mma turn the mic over to you.

And let us know where
you will be playing football in the fall.

I will be going to…

Erasmus Hall High School.

E. Hall! E. Hall!

-Hey, Charlie.
-Hey. Hey. Yes, sir.

My brother going to Erasmus
played a part in me going to Erasmus

because it became like a family.

Like a good bond.

As a kid, I wanted to go to the NFL,
but as I got older, I've seen the process,

so I would rather be an engineer.

I need to zoom. I can't see the "E. Hall."

I know. It's the…

I'm gonna miss
seeing him play U-football,

but now, it's gonna get more exciting,
watching him go to the next level.

Gotta get one picture, one more.
We're putting that one back.

Seeing him execute
all his goals and dreams,

I think that's gonna be fun to watch.

I would really love
to see him be an engineer in the future.

Or maybe even an astronaut.

First and ten
on the 45-yard line.

First and ten
on the 17-yard line.

Where? I don't see David.

Right there behind…
In front of 57.

I think the best part
of fatherhood is watching your kids grow.

Yeah. Patrick came out of nowhere.

Aiden, I would love to see him happy,

but most of all, I would love
to see him do something that he loves,

that he enjoys doing.

My favorite part about football
is, like, it's all about family.

What up, bud?

It's just all about having fun.

- Pick your team.
-This is a team that I don't play with.

- Ready?
- You scared.

You scared.

My brother,
he just makes me try to be a star.

- What?
- What was that?

If you wanna do something

and you think you're a star,
you're a star.

Oh, you gonna win!

- Did you though?
- Good job.

-All right, watch the damn game.
- Dad, watch the game.

When I was young,
I was a shy person, but now,

I'm not really a shy person no more.

I always knew I was a special kid.

It's just that I never knew
people were expecting me to be like that.

My role on the team is,

on worst days, I push my team through.

Sometimes on cold days,

I push my team through.

I feel like I could have
done more in Florida,

but when I feel
a lot of pressure, it's like…

It, like… Hmm, how can I say this?

It feels like… kinda iffy.

It feels like you just don't…

It feels like it's too much on you,
basically.

It's like it's too much on you.

I wanted to win in Florida
so we can prove that…

that we have something in us
that we can bring home to New York.

But at the same time,
you can't win everything in life.

You gotta take the good
with the bad, so…

What's going on, boy?

What's up?

Come on. Come on.

Use your wrist. Put your elbows up.

Take your time.

Aim for the square.
Stop trying to make the swish.

Make the basket.

My son got beat up in Florida.

And that's the first time
I ever seen him want to give up.

See the difference? Just take your time.

And it hurt me. 'Cause I'm saying,
"Damn. Did I protect him enough?"

"Did I teach him enough?"

"Am I being too soft right now?"

Then I thought about it.

This is supposed to be about fun.

I don't want this boy to go out here,
play in fear, and get hurt.

And he don't wanna play no more.

You can't play football in fear.
You can't.

You will get hurt.

He has to play sports
to keep his mind happy.

So he can be disciplined.

Once you get
to a certain point in your life,

that discipline
that was instilled in you as a kid,

it's gonna come out in greater ways.

I come to you, boom.

Right? Go this way, and spin around.

That way, I never lift
that foot up. All right?

- So, how would I do it?
-Come to me. Spin the other way.

You wanna go here,
go the other way. Boom!

-That's it.
-Oh.

Having my dad coach…

It's all good, 'cause certain people
don't have their pops around

like how I got my dad around.

Spin…

-Oh.
-Spin. Right.

-Oh.
-Shoot.

-Oh. So, you can't put this foot down.
-Right.

So, it's fun to have my dad around.

Got it? That's the only way
it's gonna work…

-There you go. That'll work.
- Like that?

Now, that we can work with.

I miss all my kids.

I think about them every day.

And, you know, I pray for them.

I usually get
a half hour for work.

And to get…

Get your lunch, eat,
and get ready to get back to work.

It's nothing bad.

Coaching is a big part of my life.

Working on the weekends
is gonna take that away from me.

And it hurts.
It hurts to put in all this work.

It hurts to put in
all that work that we put in.

And I can't make it or…

So, you know, I'm just working
and putting in my time,

putting in my bids,

doing what I have to do,
letting my work ability speak for itself.

I feel teaching these kids, having fun,

taking them camping,

and playing football is my work
for God, so…

He wants me out there coaching football,

and I believe it in my heart,
that's where he wants me,

that's where I'm gonna be at.

-What up, melon head?
- What's up?

Look at that. We A.D.D.

These are the version of the Heismans.
The MVP awards.

Without a strong core of family,
this program doesn't run.

Show y'all family some love.

Clap it up to the coaching staff.

On the count of three say,
"Thank you, coaches." One, two, three.

Thank you, coaches!

On the count of three,
we're gonna say, "Thank you, parents."

One, two, three.

Thank you, parents!

One, two, three!

-Thank you, parents!
- You're welcome.

Now, we're gonna start
showing love to our kids, aight?

-Y'all with me on that?
- Yeah!

-Y'all with me on that?
- Yeah!

Need y'all to give
a big round of applause for this one.

He took a lot of pain.

He put his team on his shoulders.

Mr. Kenan Grant.

Keep lighting 'em up.

This coach needs no introduction.

He come ready.

He stay ready.

And he'll go to bat
for any one of y'all kids.

Thank you for y'all love and support.
I'mma turn it over

to Coach Gawuala of the 9U.
Give it up!

- We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.--

-We A.D.D.!
- We A.D.D.!

-We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.D.!

He put in a lot of hard work
last year on that line.

Hey, Man Man, come to the front.

Tito! Step up.

- Miguel Jackson.

- Will, let me see it.
- Will I Am!

Haa!

-Now you go, "Haa!"
- Haa!

-Haa!
- Haa!

This young man right here
is one of my originals,

one of the kids that I birthed
since he was a little kid.

Four years old.

He came to the field,
he would refuse to play football.

I asked him to come to the field.
He told me no. I said,

"You got one more practice to come
to my field and tell me no."

The last time that kid came to my field,
he never left.

Aiden, my twin, come to the front.

- Yeah!

We're gonna take a picture.

Okay.

This is the MVP.

This kid right here is
very, very, very special to me.

If you've been following the Saints

and you've been around
for more than a year,

then you know what it is between me
and this kid right here.

Not just because his father
passed the baton down to me

and gave me the honor to coach this
young man, but when I coached him,

this is the other half
of the field general.

When I needed it, I got it.

When it was time to give up
and I told him it wasn't time,

he put in his all and he gave it up.

This the MVP of the Brooklyn Saints.

Eighteen touchdowns.

9U, we A.D.D.!

We A.D.D.!

D-Lo, step to the front.

We gonna kneel.

Hit 'em with the, "Easy!" and salute 'em.

D-Lo.

-I love you, boy.
-Love you, too.

I'm very proud of you.

There's a lot of kids out here
that need to be coached.

There's a lot of kids that need help.

There's a lot of kids
that need to be shown love.

Just being a kid, that's… It's priceless.

Every generation's supposed
to be better than the next.

We had kids for 11 months.

And within these 11 months,
we got to train 'em,

teach them football…

The scoreboard told you different,
but in this heart,

there was never no losses this season.

- How y'all feel?
- You know!

-How y'all feel?
-You know!

Rock with me. Where we from?

Brooklyn!

Where we from?

Brooklyn!

-Saints, we A.D.D.!
-We A.D.D.!

-We A.D.D.!
-We A.D.D.!

Bring it in, we A.D.D.

-I love every last one of y'all!

We just not a coaching program.
We just not a football program.

We family.

It's better than
winning national championships.

It's better than everything.

It's the best thing in the world.
