Walker, Texas Ranger (1993–2001): Season 9, Episode 7 - Turning Point - full transcript

Last time on Walker,
Texas Ranger...

Bring the clients online.

Who are you?

You can call me "The Chairman".

I'm someone who can give you

the opportunity
of ridding yourself

of undercover agents.

I can find each and
every one of them

in your operation,
rid you of them,

and all for the nominal cost

of $50 million a year.

The ATF has lost five
undercover agents.

The DEA., seven.

The Marshal's
Office has lost three.

The FBI have had ten.

How could a thing like
that have happened?

Someone hacked

into our mainframe and
started pulling out files.

WOMAN: Then let's
establish a task force

exclusively of
state peace officers.

And I think I know just the man

to head it up.

This is a national
emergency, Ranger Walker.

And, Alex, we would like you

to be the liaison between Walker

and the Senate subcommittee.

So, you mean it's just
us and all these toys?

No, we have a New York cop

named Rosetti who
will be on the team.

Hi, handsome.

Uh, hi.

ROSETTI: Geez, we
need a computer expert,

he brings in a felon.

Only in Texas.

BUZZ: Got it.

You-you're in?

Not bad for a felon, huh?

Redman, what's going on?

Not much, Chairman.

I just took down another
one of your clients.

So you're the one who's
been causing me all this grief.

I guess you could say that.

And I'll be seeing
you real soon.

Ranger Cordell Walker.

Hmm. What a record.

Well... at least we know
who we're up against.

TRIVETTE: He's known
simply as "The Chairman."

So this hacker, The
Wizard... he's the one

who tapped into all
the federal agencies?

Mm-hmm.

Is there any way to
locate this Wizard?

Mm, I'm working on it.

What have we got so far?

We have a list of the
crime families who've paid

this Chairman $15
million each to eliminate

these undercover agents
from their organizations.

Okay, then that's
the direction we'll go.

So we'll go after the mob bosses

that The Chairman's
linked up with.

Right.

Who do we go after first?

Buzz, put all their
pictures up, will you?

Whoa, whoa, whoa,
whoa, wait a minute,

I know this guy.

His name's not
Billy Bob Jackson.

It's Roberto Jaconi.

He's a capo in a major
crime family in New York.

Killed a couple cops.

We couldn't prove it in court,

so they shipped
him down to Miami

to run his own operation.

He's got his fingers
in everything: drugs,

prostitution, you name it.

Let's see what I
can find on him.

Bingo.

The tax records show he
owns properties all over Miami.

ROSETTI: Griffin Metalworks.

That's got to be a chop shop.

Then why don't we
go after Billy Bob?

Whatever you say.

When do we leave?

Right away.

AUTOMATED VOICE: You have mail.

( computer beeping)

So, you're Mr. LaForge's
right-hand man.

You said you had
something important to tell us.

Yeah, something I wanted
to convey personally.

You see, we run a
service for Mr. LaForge.

We eliminate undercover agents.

So you're the one
who's been whacking

all those guys, huh? Yeah.

You don't seem very surprised.

Don't you remember
me, Agent Douglas?

Oh!

You do still work

for the Justice
Department, don't you?

I don't know who
you're talking about.

Come on!

Think back.

Detroit, Motor
City, 15 years ago.

Look, I told you,
I-I don't know you.

All right.

Let me see if I can
help jog your memory.

I was a numbers runner
for the Scarpizi family.

You told me if I rolled
over, I'd get protection.

But what did I get?

Ten years in prison, and this...

The mark of a snitch.

Nolan Pierce.

Wonderful.

I knew you'd remember.

Ten years. That's a
long time to think...

about you, the
syndicate and the cops.

Pierce, I didn't know it
was going to go down

like it did.

Yeah, well...

what you don't
know will kill you.

DOUGLAS: No!

Get this garbage out of here.

I don't know what it is, but
I definitely got something.

Okay, I'll be right there.

Got to go, Gage.

Call me every half hour.

What's going on?

The Wizard's up to something.

Do you know what?

He's exchanging info with
some kind of mobile unit.

It's moving, too.

I can't nail it down.

Can you locate the
source of the signal?

No. I tried.

I think he's bouncing
it off a satellite.

Maybe military or something?

I don't know.

But I am gonna find out.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.

I'm getting

some kind of feedback
on my signal here.

( beep)

Oh, it's Buzz.

Oh, she is persistent.

She is zeroing in
on us pretty good.

Do we have a problem?

No.

No, she's good.

But I am much better.

You'd better be.

( Latin music playing)

You say you know
this guy, McKnight?

He's just another jerk
Billy Bob brought down

from New York with him.

MAN: Hey.

What are you
doing here, Rosetti?

I was just telling Ranger
Trivette, you know,

how we go way back.

I should come and
pay my respects.

Yeah, well, neither one
of you are welcome here,

so why don't you turn around and
get out the door while you still can?

Come on, McKnight.
Me and you, Billy Bob,

old times... that don't
count for nothing?

Still got this.

Oh, a little New York tin, huh?

Doesn't do any good
down here, okay?

So let me tell you...
Why don't you take

your business and
go back up north?

You know what? My
territory's expanding.

you over the head with it.

( grunting)

( pained groaning)

Oops.

Ow!

ROSETTI: Wow. This ought to do.

( McKnight panting)

Bet it's unregistered, too.

That's possession.

Who knows what
little tale we'll find

when we, uh, run it down.

MAN: All right, all right!

( pained groan)

One more Billy Bob
enterprise down.

Not gonna be a happy camper.

You got it.

Better keep our
heads up, though.

He's gonna want
to even the score.

Walker.

It's Gage.

Everything's smooth
as silk up here.

How about there?

Buzz picked up something
strange on her computer.

Any idea what?

No. Have you
checked on the pilots?

Uh, no, not in a while.

I'll go check right now.

Okay, call me back.

Will do.

How much time we got, fellas?

One hour, 14
minutes till touchdown.

Any problems?

No, sir.

Okay.

They're way out
over the gulf now.

It's time.

Dump the fuel, kill the radio.

( beeping)

( alarm beeping)

We're bleeding fuel.

What, leak?

Well, we're losing
40 pounds per minute.

It's an awful lot for a leak.

I'm showing an open dump
valve on the right wing bladder.

These dump valves are fail safe.

They're not supposed
to open up like this.

No change.

I'm trimming left to compensate

for the fuel loss.

Roger that.

Guys, what's going on?

Got a little
malfunction going on.

Emergency dump valve's open.

We can still make it

to Dallas on the left tank.

Dallas Control, this is
Federal Jet Alpha 750.

Do you copy?

Repeat, Dallas Control,

this is Federal Jet Alpha 750.

Does anyone copy?

( radio static)

The radio's dead.

You take over.

( phone ringing) Put
it on the intercom.

Walker.

Yeah, this is Gage.

We got a malfunction on the jet.

What kind of a malfunction?

Well, we're leaking
fuel out of the right wing,

and the radio's gone dead.

Are you going to have to
make an emergency landing?

No, they say we
can get to Dallas

on what we have left.

Okay, I'm showing
another open dump valve

on the left tank.

Repeat, left tank.

Losing fuel.

Roger. Fuel loss now

at 60 pounds per
minute, both tanks.

Walker.

We're spilling fuel

out of the left tank now.

Can you do anything, Buzz?

The Wizard's bouncing
the signal all over the place...

Cell phone repeaters,
sat com transceivers.

If I can hitch a ride on his
carrier frequency, my input

will sync with his interface.

Then do it.

Got it. The valves are closed.

Valves closed.

Fuel reading now
at 1-6-0 pounds.

Roger, 1-6-0 pounds.

Balancing tanks for trim.

What happened?

They, they closed the valves.

But still, there can't
be enough fuel left

to fill a cigarette lighter.

Depressurize the cabin.

Yes, sir.

BUZZ: Walker, look at this.

WALKER: Hmm.

Any idea what his
next move will be?

No, but it won't be good.

( hissing)

Something's wrong.

I know it.

Everything's fine.

Air speed 1-6-5 knots.

Altitude steady, 29,000.

Guys, are we going to make it?

We'll make it somewhere.

Just not Dallas.

Walker, they're losing
cabin pressure really fast.

( phone ringing)

Yeah, it's Gage.

Gage, I'm afraid we got trouble.

You don't have to
tell me; I'm up here.

You've got to put
the plane down now.

Well, it's coming down
one way or the other.

We don't have much fuel left.

I'm getting lightheaded.

You need to put an
oxygen mask on now!

Call me back.

( alarm beeping)

What do you think?

Well, the pilots must
be unconscious by now.

And there's just
enough fuel left

to make a nice fireball.

Well, then we just sit back
and wait for the news flash.

( phone ringing)

Yeah, Walker, this is Gage.
Listen, the pilots are out cold.

I put oxygen masks on them,

but I don't know
what else to do.

I can't repressurize the plane.

Gage, we've got to get the jet

to a lower altitude.

How are we going to do that?

I'm going to give you
a flying lesson, buddy.

I was afraid you
were going to say that.

Okay, get in the pilot's seat.

Okay.

Now, what's your heading?

Um... uh, 2-4-0.

Altitude?

29,000 feet.

Okay. Do you see the autopilot?

Uh...

Yeah, yeah.

I can vector them

WALKER: Gage, we
have to turn the jet.

Here's what I want you to do.

I want you to push
the left rudder pedal,

and slowly turn
the yoke to the left.

GAGE: Here goes.

What's going on?

Someone, someone
turned the plane.

Who? I don't know.

I don't know, but
they've got no radio,

and eight minutes left of fuel.

I mean, it's a flying coffin.

Now. Okay, Gage,
straighten it out.

All right.

2-9-0.

Okay, maintain that heading.

I always wanted to
take flying lessons,

but this is ridiculous.

Take out their
navigation system.

Disable their landing gear.

( beeping)

Walker, I've lost all my
navigation equipment.

Gage, I'm contacting
ground control

in Mobile now.

What am I supposed to
do when I get to Mobile?

I can't, I can't
land this thing.

We'll figure that out
when you get there.

Okay, great, well, I hope
you come up with a good plan.

( beeping)

Gage?

Gage?

Oh, you're kidding me.

Gage, can you hear me?

Gage?

Come on, where's that autopilot?

AUTOMATED VOICE:
Autopilot engaged.

( dialing phone)

( phone rings)

Walker.

Yeah, my phone went
dead. I had to grab Sydney's.

Okay, are you on autopilot?

Uh, yes.

Okay, leave it on autopilot.

How are the pilots?

Um...

looks like they're
starting to come around.

BUZZ: Gage, you're 15 miles

from Mobile Airport with
four minutes of fuel left.

You're going to have
to wake one of the pilots.

Okay. Sir.

Captain. Captain, I
need you to wake up.

All right, listen, we
have four minutes

of fuel left, and
we're 15 miles outside

Mobile, Alabama.

Get yourself together

so you can fly this thing, okay?

Okay, Walker, I
got the pilot back.

Okay, good.

Something's wrong

with the landing
gear... It won't deploy.

Walker, now the landing gear

won't come down.

Gage, you're gonna have
to lower them manually.

Pull on that T-handle.

They're lowering
the gear manually.

Do something.

( instrument panel beeping)

What's with the instruments?

GAGE: Walker, the pilot says

the instruments
aren't working properly.

Gage, turn left ten degrees,

and you'll be vectored
for Mobile approach.

Okay, left ten degrees.

Okay, roger that. Tell
me when we're lined up.

Okay, tell us how far.

Right there, Gage.

Okay, that's enough.

Okay, copy.

( coughing)

Hey, strap in.

You let me have that
phone. We'll take it from here.

Yeah, this is the
captain, Flight 7-5-0.

Are we on direct
heading to Mobile runway,

and how much fuel do we have?

Captain, you're two
miles out on direct course,

and you're on fumes.

Roger that.

Is everything all right?

Uh, absolutely.

Just, uh, stay buckled up.

Uh, we're getting ready to land.

Okay.

Do something.

I am... I'm trying

to actuate the thrust reversers.

Yeah, I see runway.

We've cleared you to land.

Oh, I've almost got it.

I just need ten seconds!

Wizard's trying something.

( grunts)

Three more seconds!

Two!

They've landed.

They're safe.

Good job, Buzz.

Thanks.

They're down, aren't they?

That was a nice flight.

Are you sure everything's
all right up there?

Syd, would I lie to you?

Yes.

( sighs)

It's all right.

You did your best.

( gagging)

You fail me again,
and I'll kill you.

Do you understand?

Do you?

( coughing)

Is there anything
you'd like to add

to your deposition
before we conclude?

No, um, that's everything.

You can have all the
warrants you want.

Okay, I'll call Trivette and
have him take Billy Bob down.

( sirens blaring)

Hey, Billy Bob, come out of
the house with your hands up,

or I'm going to drag
you out by your feet.

Come on, do your job, will you?

Stay here.

I got this side.

( grunting)

( groans)

( click)

What are you going to do,

shoot me, Rosetti?
