Walker, Texas Ranger (1993–2001): Season 9, Episode 23 - The Final Showdown: Part 1 - full transcript

What are you doing?

I'm getting our
labor kit together.

But you're not due
for three weeks.

Honey, I feel like
I'm ready to pop,

so I want to be prepared.

And our guests are going
to be arriving any second.

Well, I better set up the grill.

Um...

are you sure you're
up for this barbecue?

Of course.

Besides, we need a
pre-birth celebration.

Afterwards, I'm going to
be too busy and too tired.

Okay.

See, I told you we
didn't have to rush.

We're the first ones here.

I know that, but I
wanted to get here early

and see if they needed any help.

Of course, my little
good Samaritan.

Hey. Ow!

Hi.

Hey.

Wow, that potato
salad looks great.

Trust me, it is.

Here, you take that.

All right.

I'm going to go inside and
see if Alex needs any help.

Okay. All right.

What a day for a barbecue, huh?

Sure is.

You got the coals going already?

Uh-huh. All right.

Here, hold this.

All right.

Ouch. Those are some
Texas-size burgers there.

Mm-hmm.

Two or three of
those I'll be fine.

Maybe four.

Whoo!

Hey, Trivette, Erika.

Erika Carter, you
remember Gage and Walker.

How you doing?

Hi, how are you?
Nice to see you.

Let me take that for you.

Good to see you again, Erika.

You, too, and congratulations.

Jimmy was telling
me about the baby.

So, how's Alex?

She's getting bigger every day.

There's Connie with
her famous brownies.

Alex has been
craving those all day.

I made an extra
batch just for her.

Erika, this is Ranger Wade
Harper and his wife Betsy

and Ranger Cliff Jensen
and his wife Connie.

Hi, nice to meet you.

Well, come on, Erica.

We want to steal
you away from Trivette

and let the men
take care of the grill

and we'll go check on Alex.

Of course, we're just
dying to see the nursery.

Heard you did a great job on it.

Erika looks familiar.

Didn't you used to date her?

Yeah, she just
moved back to town.

How's it going this time?

I'm taking it slow...

this time.

Wow, this cake is really good.

Dude... What?

You sure you can't fit another

burger on that thing?

And ruin it?

It's perfect.

Somebody ought to kill
another heifer for that boy.

You know, all the accounts
of his life don't seem to add up.

Some people say
he died as a ranger.

Other people say he didn't.

Now, if he didn't, why
would he turn in his star?

Because he met a beautiful lady

by the name of Althea Bloom

and fell madly in love...

and she talked him
into giving up his star.

They got married,
and he bought a ranch

right outside of a
town called Bovine.

had it all, huh?

For a while.

What happened?

Well, unfortunately,

his past was just about
ready to catch up with him.

Hello?

We'll get right on it.

There's been a prison
break at Huntsville.

Where did you get the mercs?

Here, there.

Wow, this is some kind of place.

Oh, it's home, for now.

You'll find changes
of clothes upstairs.

Make yourselves
comfortable, then we'll talk.

Only thing we got to talk about

is why the hell are
we still in Texas?

I would say we have

some unfinished
business wouldn't you?

It's called Cordell Walker.

Four guards and several
prisoners are dead.

The prison is in lockdown.

Four convicts escaped.

Chastain, Schultz,
Graves and Dollarhide.

You know them?

Too well.

Four of them were part of a team

that ravaged Texas
seven years ago.

They were brutal and merciless.

What was it?

Eight banks,

three armored cars?
Yeah, and over $8 million

was stolen... never recovered.

So what ended up happening?

Well, finally, Company B,

led by Walker took them down.

Two rangers died
on that mission.

C.D. almost died, too.

He spent two
months in the hospital.

You said these four
were part of a team?

Yeah, led by a vicious killer...

Emile Lavocat.

Where's he?

He pled insanity

and got life without parole

in a maximum security facility

for the criminally insane.

Should we check on the
current status of Lavocat?

Nope. No need.

He poured fuel
oil all over his body

and he lit himself on fire.

He really was nuts, huh?

Well, someone
helped them escape.

Do we have any ideas
as to who that might be?

Well, that's what
we have to find out.

Let's get to work.

So where's the $8
million, Lavocat?

And don't tell me you
spent it on this place.

Oh, I have the money.

And this, well, this
is just an investment.

Certainly not as expensive

as the cost of breaking
you out of prison.

No, we have more than enough
money to do what we have to do.

And what would that be?

Elimination of the
rangers of Company B.

Why don't we just
split the money up

and be on our way?

Oh, we will...

as soon as every ranger
that busted us is dead.

That's 12 rangers.

We start at the bottom,

we work our way up to Walker.

I don't know, man. I mean...

I'm all for a little payback,

but with you, uh,

with you it's
something different.

We all owe them for what
happened seven years ago.

The only difference is

my hatred for rangers goes
back a lot longer than yours.

What are you talking about?

We all got busted
at the same time.

Persecution of my family started
with my great-great-grandfather,

Milos Lavocat.

Who was that?

A true legend of the west.

He was half Seminole;
he was half French.

Most men only knew him as Moon.

It was said that he and
his gang were unstoppable.

The Texas Rangers
caught up to Moon's gang,

but Moon escaped
into Comanche territory,

where he did what he
pleased with some red women.

A Texas Ranger caught up to him

at the same time
the Comanches did.

Turned out the
ranger, Hayes Cooper,

and the Comanche
chief were blood brothers.

When the Comanches
demanded tribal justice,

Cooper agreed
and just rode away.

They scalped Moon and
dumped him off a cliff.

After being scalped, Moon
believed that he was dead,

which meant he
couldn't be killed again.

But he vowed to track
down Hayes Cooper

and take his scalp.

You find Cooper?

Oui, I found him.

Hee-hah!

We'll let that Texas ranger rot

right where we drop him.

Except he's not
a ranger anymore.

He's a rancher over in Bovine.

Got himself a wife
and a new baby.

Then what are we waiting for?

Let's go kill that
egg-sucking...

Ain't nobody killing
anybody till I say.

Ain't he the one
what got you scalped?

Time to settle the score.

Creed's right.

What do you say we
just kill him anyway?

Then I'd have to say

I'll scalp any man who
don't agree with me.

Any takers?

Huh?!

Huh?!

Then I'll scalp Cooper
in my own time.

And in case you forgot
what that look like...

Break camp.

We got a long ride.

Moon and his gang were back,

and they only had
one thing in mind:

taking the scalp
of Hayes Cooper.

Well, that's about the
sweetest bedtime story

I've ever heard,

but I have no interest
in Walker's hair,

so why don't you just take
that elephant gun of yours

and blow him away,
be done with it?

Because there are 11
other rangers to die first.

By the time we get to Walker,

Did you see the shooter? - No.

How long after Jensen got
hit did you hear the shot?

A second, maybe two.

A .50-caliber bullet moves

a second.

You got a second delay.

The shot had to come from
at least 1,000 yards away.

Gage, Sydney.

DPS spotted
Dollarhide at a motel

in Aleto with a prostitute,

so here's what
we're going to do.

You sick bastard.

So, was it good for you, baby?

I love it.

All right.

Dollarhide is heading
west on Chapman Road.

Roger that, Walker.
We're on our way.

Whoa!

Whoa. Whoa.

Hi-ya!

Hiy!

Hiy!

Hi-ya!

Ah-hiy!

Oh-whoa!

Whoa! Whoa!

Althea!

Althea!

Althea!

Althea!

I just wish he'd get here.

Hell, I'll bet he
don't even show.

I'll take that bet.

'Bout time.

Oh! Let's get inside.

That man's plum crazy.

Yup, he sure is.

I'm in a good mood now, Cooper.

Then draw, Creed.

Moon!

Moon!

Cooper!

Althea.

Oh!

Cooper!

I told you, Cooper.

I cannot die!

Bet me.

Oh.

Okay, okay.

It's all right.

Cooper, would you
consider being our sheriff?

Althea... I'm a lawman.

I guess I'll always be a lawman.

I can live with that, Cooper.

Didn't expect this.

Neither did I.

Thanks, Mayor.

Thank you... Sheriff.

Let's go home.

Where the hell have you been?!

Don't answer!

You reek where
you've been, you idiot!

I swear nobody saw me.

Nobody followed me.

I-I'm telling you.

I ought to kill you.

That's how Walker
got us the last time.

Rangers coming!

Grenade!

Did you dig up C.D. Parker?

Did you like the
way I killed him?

That's good.

Yeah. I'd rather beat
you to death anyway.

Let's get it on.

Oops.
