As the wedding of Walker and Alex takes place killer is hired to kill them

GAGE: Well, the
girls can stop griping.

We are finally
getting our tuxedos.

You know, this place
looks a little expensive, huh?

Rossini's is probably
the hottest men's shop

in the entire metroplex.

Guys, it's not who you
know, it's who knows you.

Hey, how did you guys get
to know Rossini anyway?

Well, actually, Giovanni Rossini

was once known as Johnny Rose.

Yeah, Walker and I busted
him for truck hijacking

about six years ago.

You know what? I
remember that bust.

So he's Johnny Rose, huh?

Yup. Picked up his trade at
the University of Huntsville,

courtesy of the State of Texas.

(in Italian accent): Hey, my
friends, is so good to see you again.

Johnny, what's with the accent?

(in normal voice):
Oh, sorry, Trivette.

Force of habit.

You know, you put
on an Italian accent,

people go nuts.

They don't come here
just to buy clothes.

They come for una esperienza.

That's great. Where's our tuxes?

Fresh off the boat from Napoli.

Check this out.

You guys are gonna
look like a million bucks.

Oh, wow, molto bene.

C.D.'s still coming, right?

Oh, yeah. His ship arrives
in Tokyo Thursday evening.

He's got a flight scheduled
for Friday morning.

These are great.

What do I owe you?

Please, Walker.
This is my gift to you

and your lovely bride.

If it wasn't for you
turning my life around...

I put you in prison, Johnny.
You turned your life around.

Yeah, I know, but
do you remember

what you said to me at my trial?

You said, "Johnny, you're
a lot smarter than this.

"When you get
out, try honest work

and you'll make more money."

So I took your advice.

Johnny Rose died in
Huntsville. I was reborn.

I'm Giovanni
Rossini, entrepreneur.

(laughs)

Let this be a wedding present

from Giovanni, okay?

Thanks, Giovanni.

Why don't you let
me grab yours, Mark?

I'd appreciate it.

Now be careful with the tuxedos.

Don't wrinkle them.

TRIVETTE: Will you relax?

Nothing's gonna happen
to the tuxes, Walker.

I know, I know.

I guess I just got the...

pre-wedding
jitters or something.

Look, I'm gonna drop
Mark off and I'll, uh...

I'll see you guys at Ranger
Headquarters, okay?

Oh, okay. Okay.

(laughs)

You know, Walker, I
thought about going

into law enforcement
at one time.

Really?

Yeah, but the computer
age got me instead.

Well, that's not a
bad alternative, Mark.

(Gage and Trivette laughing)

I have never seen
Walker so nervous.

Oh, my goodness.
Grab my hat, will you?

Yeah. Hey, you know, the
only person more nervous

than Walker is Sydney.

Why is Sydney nervous?

Sydney has been
worried since day one

that we weren't
gonna get these tuxes

in time for the wedding.

Women, they worry. Yep.

DISPATCHER (on radio): All
units, report of a 2-11 in progress

at the First Bank
of South Dallas

on the corner of
Abrams and Montfort.

Hey, you know what?

That's like three
blocks from here.

Yeah, let's get
on it. All right.

(indistinct shouting)

(alarm blaring)

(gunshots)

Whoops. Ah!

Oh... Oh.

Uh, sorry about your
car. Sorry about the car?

Walker's gonna kill us!

The tuxes! Yes!

The tuxes!

Oh, man!

Hey, we should
just go to Australia.

That's not far enough.

It's not far enough,
is it? Shoot!

(grunts)

Get down!

Yeah, yeah, get down!

You have no idea how
much trouble we're in!

( suspenseful theme playing)

(computer beeping)

Hi.

Pretty, isn't she?

how people did this
before computers.

( ominous theme playing)

(screaming)

The victim's name
was Jasmine Keefe.

She was a receptionist at
one of the local art galleries.

The cause of death was a single
puncture wound to the chest.

I've got the uniforms
searching the structure

and the adjoining alleyways.

We haven't concluded
our investigation,

but we think it may have
been a carjacking gone bad

because they
didn't take anything.

WALKER: I'm not sure
that's what happened here.

OATES: What do you mean?

Take a look at the locks.

The passenger door and
the right rear door are locked,

but yet the left rear
door is unlocked.

That means that someone
had to unlock it from the inside.

The killer must've
been hiding in the back

when the girl got in.

So, what are you guys saying?

What, this was a
premeditated murder?

That's what it looks like.

( dramatic theme playing)

Single puncture wound.

Looks like nothing was taken.

Sounds familiar.

Yeah, it sure does.

(beeping)

(typing)

The victim's name
was Wilfred Brookes.

He was a dentist
at Medical City.

Same M.O. as the others?

Yeah.

Can you tell us anything
about the murder weapon?

Not much. Let... Let... Let me
go in my notes, okay? Excuse me.

From the degree of penetration,

it would have to be
something very smooth

and very, very sharp.

It probably doesn't
have a serrated edge,

but other than that...

I've never seen you
confused before, Mary.

Well, all I can say is
whoever is doing this

knows what they're doing.

I mean, each victim suffered
a single puncture wound

in a vital area.

It's almost as if they're
being killed by a doctor.

Or a professional killer.

A professional killer?

Who would hire a
professional killer

to kill a receptionist,

an accountant and a dentist?

That's what we have to find out.

(computer beeping)

This one seems appropriate.

( upbeat theme playing)

Oh, hey, Trivette,
Trivette? What?

Listen. What are you...?
What are you getting Walker

and Alex for the wedding?
I'm not gonna tell you.

Okay, fine. I was just thinking

maybe if you wanted
to you and I could go...

Fork boy, forget about it.

WALKER: Forget about what?

Oh, that's a nice
house, isn't it?

GAGE: It's a beautiful house.
WALKER: Yeah, it sure is.

It's great that Mark's
letting you and Alex

use the house for the
wedding and the reception.

Yep. Yeah.

So is he here, Mark?

No, no, he's on tour
with the Mavericks.

He'll be back in
time for the wedding.

I sure hope it
clears up, though.

Ready when you are, gentlemen.

Well.

You ladies look perfect
just the way you are.

Now we'll put C.D.
between Trivette and Gage

with Mark on the end, and
you guys look perfect, also.

When everyone's in
place I'll cue the music,

then you take a count of four

and you walk very
slowly down the aisle.

Step, step, step.

Good, that's great.

You've got it down. Now move it.

(all laughing)

Now I'll say some stuff to you,

and you'll say
some stuff to her,

give Alex a kiss, and
then you take a seat.

(laughs)

Then there's a little
yadda, yadda, yadda

about marriage in general,
and then some blah, blah, blah

about the two of you,

then do you, do
you, and you both do,

and you might as well kiss
the bride. Any questions?

(laughs)

Okay.

(door closing)

ALEX: How can I be so excited

and exhausted at the same time?

(laughs)

Dad, I think I'm gonna
take a quick shower

and I am off to bed.

I shouldn't have all that coffee

at the rehearsal dinner. Zing.

(both laughing)

I'm gonna read
my book for a while.

Okay. Here, let
me take that for you.

Thanks, darling. Good night.

Nighty night.

(radio beeping)

WOMAN 1 (on radio): I've got it.

MAN 1 (on radio): Okay, great.

WOMAN 2: I've gotta get up
really early, so don't forget...

MAN 2: I thought it would
be a good investment.

How'd I know they'd tank?

WOMAN 3: Well, come on.

You know, we need...

ALEX: Could I get you
anything before I go to bed?

GORDON: I'm fine.
Thank you, darling.

Okay. See you in the morning.

Night. Good night.

( ominous theme playing)

GORDON: Honey, that you?

You still awake?

Hey!

(screams)

(croaking)

Oh, Daddy.

who was stabbed in the chest

with some type of sharp object.

He's lost approximately
two liters of blood.

Just prior to our arrival...

You're gonna have
to wait here. Wait here.

Just prior to our arrival
I noticed that there was

diminished breath sounds
on the left-hand side.

What happened?

There was a man.

He was... He was in my
bedroom and my Dad...

Oh, Walker, it was so horrible.

There was a piece of ice
sticking out of my Dad's chest.

(crying)

DOCTOR: Miss Cahill?

How is he?

Well, he did lose a
substantial amount of blood.

One lung was collapsed

and there was some
damage to the aorta.

He's gonna be all right though?

Yes, yes, he's a very lucky man.

An inch closer to the heart...

But he is going to be
laid up for quite some time.

I'm sorry.

Why?

Why is this happening?

(crying)

All right, Alex
said that her father

was stabbed with an ice knife.

An ice knife?

Yeah, the wound is consistent

with the other three victims.

Ice. That would explain

why there's been no
weapons recovered.

Yeah. Trivette, contact
ViCAP and Interpol

and see if there's been
any similar murders

in the past two years.

You got it.

Okay, I want you
two to check the files

of three victims
and see if there's

any connection
between them and Alex.

All right. Right.

I can't believe it.

I can't believe I didn't
kill her first, then him.

Did she get a look at you?

Yeah.

I don't know how good a look,

but she definitely got a look.

When this is over,

I'm gonna have to
go to Switzerland

and buy myself a new face.

Mm, that's too bad,

because I was
kind of getting fond

of the one you've got.

(siren wailing)

(Alex sniffling)

Hey, hey.

Big girls don't cry.

Dad, I was so scared.

(laughs)

Me too, darling.

Me too.

SYDNEY: Ran a complete
background check on Alex

and the other three victims.
Came up with nothing.

GAGE: There is
absolutely no connection

between any of them.
Which is kind of strange

in and of itself. I mean,

you would think even
just by coincidence

there would have
to be something.

They're being killed at
random. I wonder why.

I ran all that data
through the computer.

You're not gonna believe
it. Ten separate incidents.

Cairo, London, Toronto,

New York, and just
last week Chicago.

Eight victims in each city,

single puncture wound
to the chest, no weapons.

I know what's happening.

Someone has a contract
to kill a specific individual,

and he kills seven
others to cover his tracks.

Hm, talk about cold-blooded.

No pun intended.

Who do you think hired this guy?

I know who hired him.

Johnson Carter.

What do you want, Walker, huh?

I got nothing to say to you.

I know you hired a
professional assassin

to kill Alex Cahill.

And I just came in
here to let you know

that if anything happens to her,

I'm gonna personally
take you out.

You know my reputation, Carter.

You know I can, and I will.

Now call off your killer,
or you're a dead man.

(panting)

(computer beeping)

Can you make it a little
darker around the eyes?

SKETCH ARTIST: How's that?

ALEX: That's him.

Will you e-mail this sketch

to the CIA, KGB, and Mossad?

See if they can put
a name to that face.

You got it.

Sorry, but once a
contract's been accepted,

it can't be canceled.

Alex Cahill will die,

and your client will pay
the balance of his bill.

(phone beeping)

Name's Michael
Westmoreland, ex-CIA.

How ex?

Very. Left the agency
three years ago

after an incident
involving his superiors.

What'd he do then?

Dropped off the
face of the planet.

According to the guy
that I spoke to at Langley,

there were rumors that
he'd been a gun for hire.

Never anything more than rumors,

but he told me this.

This Westmoreland's
got a girlfriend

named Deirdre
Harris, also ex-CIA,

also deadly, also missing.

Can you get photos of them?

I tried that. These
guys are so good,

they destroyed every piece

of information in their files.

He should be considered
armed and very dangerous.

If you have any information
regarding his whereabouts,

you're asked to call

at 214-555-0198

Michael, maybe we should
just pass on this and go home.

We've got plenty of
money to live comfortably

for the rest of our lives.

It's not the money,
Deirdre. You know that.

It's the rush.

It's knowing that I can
do something better

than anyone else on the planet,

and this Walker just
makes it more challenging,

and that just makes it
that much more interesting.

Now look, I'm gonna
go take a shower,

and then we're gonna
go out for a nice dinner,

and then tomorrow I'm
gonna personally kill them both.

(chuckles)

( dramatic theme playing)

Hi. Hi.

How are you feeling?

I'm fine.

How are things going
with the wedding?

They're coming along.

I'm thinking of postponing
the wedding though.

What?

Just until you're
feeling better.

You'll do no such thing.

Took long enough for
that fella to propose to you.

Dad, I wanted you to
walk me down the aisle.

If it's God's will.

I just want you to
concentrate on that happy day,

and know that everything's
gonna work out all right, okay?

(car beeping)

(tires screeching)

(car starts)

( suspenseful theme playing)

(grunts)

You must be Deirdre.

I'm surprised Michael
let you come alone.

I don't need him.

( ominous theme playing)

(siren wailing)

(cocks gun)

According to early reports,

the assailant was
hiding in the house

when the Ranger returned,

and while information
is still coming in,

reports indicate that
the assailant, a female,

was pronounced
dead on the scene.

As many of you are aware,

Ranger Walker is engaged
to marry Tarrant County

assistant district
attorney Alex Cahill,

whose father, Gordon Cahill,

was recently
injured in an attack

at Miss Cahill's home.

TRIVETTE: I never thought
you'd be on the hit list.

I did.

Carter knows he
has to take me out

before Alex if he wants
to keep on breathing.

Since his girlfriend's dead,

you think this Westmoreland's

gonna cut his losses
and skip the country?

No. He'll come after
me, for two reasons.

One, I took his girlfriend out,

and second, his ego
won't allow himself to quit.

( suspenseful theme playing)

(tires screeching)

(siren wailing)

(car horns honking)

He changed his M.O.

They sure weren't ice bullets.

Yeah.

For a professional killer,
he's a pretty lousy shot.

Yeah, he was.

Trivette, have the M.E.
run a DNA test on the body.

You got it.

You got a reason?

You just said it.

I did?

Have you reached a verdict?

Yes, Your Honor, we have.

JUDGE: Mr. Foreman,
what say you?

In the matter of the State
of Texas v. Johnson Carter,

we find the accused
guilty on all counts.

(gavel bangs)

All right. Thanks, Mary.

M.E.'s expediting the DNA test,

but we won't have any
results for a few days.

We tracked down the
license plate on the car.

GAGE: The car was
stolen from the garage

at the Marquis Hotel.

TRIVETTE: Hey,
guys, check this out.

Oh, man. These
people have no idea

how close they came.

Take a look at this.

Oh.

That about seals it.

( wedding march theme playing)

You wear this jacket
and you be beating off

the ladies with a
stick, or my name,

she's not Giovanni Rossini.

Oh, scusi, signor.

Hey, guys. It's ready.

We sure appreciate
this, Giovanni.

Yeah, it took some doing
to get them here so soon,

but if Giovanni can't
get it done, no one can.

Hey, where's C.D.?

Stuck in Tokyo. They
got hit by a typhoon.

No flights in or out for
at least the next 24 hours.

GIOVANNI: Too bad.

(man clearing throat)

Oh, I'm gonna blow a sale.

(in Italian accent): Giovanni must
get back to work, okay? Good day.

Ah, ah, ah, ah.

Mark and I will take
our own tuxedos.

"Mark and I will take our own."

That's funny.

( wedding march theme playing)

CHRIS: I'm sorry
about your dad, Alex.

Thank you. Actually,
Walker and I are gonna take

a video over to the
hospital after the wedding.

Oh, that's a great idea.

SYDNEY: All right,
we have a little problem.

Just a little one.

How little?

The vocalist,
she has laryngitis.

Okay.

Donna, your daughter
sings, doesn't she?

Like an angel.
