Undercover (2019–…): Season 3, Episode 2 - Festival Shop Super Sales - full transcript

This season is so much better than season 2. I am happy that Ferry is back. He brings back the dynamics of season 1.Still early in the season, but the storyline is interesting and a nice cliffhanger at the end of the episode.

A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES

Ferry, you've had contact with the target?

The "target"?

Idiots.

We have an appointment with Serkan,
made through Timur. Tomorrow.

So we use your access to him
to get Bob in.

You'll introduce him
as your business partner.

- Ferry knows what your cover is?
- He sure does.

If you manage to make
a few deals with Serkan...

We can identify the mole.

One thing though: to make a deal,
you need pills.

Yes. I'll give you 5,000 euros
to buy precursors for a test batch.

Good.

I'll arrange a cook, lab supplies,
and a good location.

No. I'll arrange the location.

Why?

- Because you're an expert on making pills?
- I will arrange the location.

If there's any air that needs clearing
between you two, we do it here. Now.

Remember: officially,
this operation doesn't exist.

There are three rules you must follow.
If you don't, I'll pull the plug.

Rule number one: no violence.
Under any circumstances.

- Yeah, sure.
- Number two: Ferry is out on parole

so don't get arrested,
because I won't be able to protect you.

Number three:
you'll have to trust each other.

Not 50%, not 100%, but 200%.

If you don't,
Serkan and his men will smell it

and they'll kill you.

Alright.

Let's begin.

- Put that phone down.
- I said no weapons.

Shut up.

- Is this where you're going to live?
- Yep.

An old cell mate has a place here
I can use.

If a chalet opens up at Zonnedauw,
I'll let you know, okay?

Zonnedauw.
I have no business there anymore.

Thanks for the ride.

Don't forget your stuff.

Need a hand?

- No, I'll manage. See you.
- See you.

Hey, Lars. You can get started.

It's on.

I thought that after Laurent,
I'd never see a weapon in the house again.

As soon as this is over,
I'm throwing it in the canal.

Will you have to use it?

Normally I wouldn't,
but this is Ferry Bouman.

I know what I'm doing.
If this works, our worries will be over.

Make sure Jackson doesn't see it.
I mean it.

Can you close the door?

Hello, Yusuf.

I'm Tanguy Dupont, drug squad.

I lead the investigation
on Serkan Bulut.

Thanks for coming without a lawyer.

I'm not talking.

Then you can start by listening.
This will stay between you and me.

No report will be written.

So...

Your lawyer won't pass anything on
to Serkan.

- I'm not a rat, you know.
- Of course not.

Who says anything about rats?

I'm just not sure your lawyer is acting
in your best interest.

And you're looking at 20 years.

Gunpowder residue on your hands,
fibers in your car

the victim's phone records.

Look, I know they say they'll protect you
and look after your family, but...

Twenty years is a long time.

That's your entire life so far
all over again, but in jail.

In Lantin prison.

Ever been there?
There's shit running down the walls there.

But I can help you.

No one can help me.

That's not true.

Look...

I can get you a new identity.

I can get you a minimal sentence
in a decent prison in Germany.

All you have to do is tell me
what you know

about Serkan, Mehmet,
and your uncle Timur.

Lantin prison doesn't scare me.

There is another option.

I can simply release you.

What do you think
Serkan will think of that?

"Did he talk? Did he keep his mouth shut?"

It won't be a good day for you, buddy.

You're not exactly employee of the month
as it is.

Getting arrested like that,
and endangering him in the process?

Serkan knows I will never talk.

Are you sure?

If I were you, I'd think about it
some more.

If you accept my help...

we'll take it step by step.

And the first step will be to get rid
of your lawyer.

Damnit.

What is it?

Yusuf's fired our lawyer.

That boy has lost his mind.

He's lost control of himself.

Then you have to tell him what to do.

Darling, that's why we hired that lawyer.
To make sure everything goes well.

We'll find a solution. Okay? Come.

I have to go.

Well done, honey.

My dear darling.

- Are you managing, honey?
- No.

No?

You always say that,
and then you get an A plus.

It'll be fine. Come on, we have to go.

Come here.
How many times have I told you?

It won't be easy for me to not slip up.

With all the things I know about you
that I shouldn't.

That your real name is Bob
instead of Peter.

That you have a daughter.

How is Polly, anyway?

One more word about my daughter,
and I'll kill you.

That's against Patrick's rules.

You think this is a game?

A joke? Those guys killed a UCA.
One mistake and we're dead.

This is no fun at all, no.

I'm here to rebuild my life.
The life you destroyed.

Try that again, and I'll kill you. Got it?

- Come on.
- One more thing.

Last time, I had an argument with Timur
about a cook and some customers.

- Now you tell me?
- Yes, well...

Timur is not important.

It's about Serkan, and I've known him
for years. But...

If you get smart with me,
they won't take me seriously.

And if they don't take me seriously,
they won't take you seriously, either.

My friends.

Can we come in?

My business partner, Peter.

I can vouch for him.

What brings you here today?

Business.

Fire away.

Shouldn't we wait until Serkan's here?

What? He's not coming?

You can talk to me.

He thinks he's too good for me,
is that it?

He didn't five years ago.

Don't tell us how to do business.

I won't do business with a lackey.

We don't need you.
There are plenty of producers around.

Either you talk to me,
or you don't talk at all.

Then we don't talk. I don't care.
Come on, Peter, let's go. Gentlemen.

What was that?

We were going to make a small deal
with Timur to get to Serkan.

That's no use, man.

You really think we'll ever get to Serkan
if I do business with an errand boy?

To play with the big boys,
you have to make them notice you.

Oh, yeah? How? We have nothing.
Didn't you hear Timur?

- There's plenty of competition.
- Then there's only one thing we can do.

Get rid of the competition.

So Ferry wants to get rid
of the competition? Of course he does.

It's not very different from how we work.

You create a shortage and you jump in.
That's how we got Ferry.

So how do we create one now?

Do you know the Festival Shop in Bilzen?

A wholesale shop in party supplies.

But it's really an IKEA in raw materials
for ecstasy. Ten of thousands of liters.

Ferry and I will do some shopping there.

And then we'll make sure
the competition can't go there anymore.

- That's where you come in.
- How?

You arrange a raid there.

Patrick, if we empty out that shop

and there are no precursors left anywhere,
Serkan will have to buy from us.

And you're sure Ferry's info is correct?

Why would he lie about that?
He got the info from Serkan's cook.

It's a good plan.

- Yes?
- Patrick's in, he'll arrange the raid.

- We just need to get a van somewhere.
- No worries, I know where to get one.

I need to ask you something.
Can I come in?

So what's up?

I need to pick up some furniture
for my new place.

And I thought...
Maybe I can borrow your van for a bit.

Can't you just rent a van or something?

It's just that, it was really expensive,
and I'm really careful with it

and if you go slamming into it
with table and chairs...

- I'm just not happy about that.
- I'll be very careful.

Fer, this is Ingrid.

- Ingrid, Ferry.
- What can we do for you, Ferry?

- He wants to borrow the van.
- I thought you had customers today.

I do, tonight.

- I'm asking Danielle.
- Can't you rent a van?

You put all that money in our mailbox.
I assume you have more.

That's gone. Bad investment.

And the money you put in our mailbox?
Was that a bad investment, too?

- To keep Daan dependent on you?
- You stay out of this.

I'm talking to Danielle.

So...

Will you help me or not?

Ferry wouldn't ask for help
unless he really needed it.

I can reschedule tonight's appointments.
So that won't be a problem.

But promise me you'll be super careful,
okay?

I promise.

- See you later.
- See you.

Don't get up. How are you?

Not bad.

This is a bit unconventional,
but I need you for a raid.

The Festival Shop in Bilzen.

Turns out that's really
a major precursor dealer.

They supply all the ecstasy producers
in the border region.

That's new to me. How do you know this?

An anonymous tip. But a trustworthy one.

I'll set up an observation post,
so we can see who comes and...

No. I've called the examining magistrate,
it's happening tomorrow.

Tomorrow? Won't we lose out
on the chance to...

Yes, it's short notice. But we have to.

Patrick, if you give us some more time,
we can trace the materials...

Don't worry about the priorities
of this operation, okay?

I want that place closed. Within 24 hours.
The Festival Shop in Bilzen.

- From now on I organize things.
- What's wrong with this?

Hello?

Hello?

Goddamnit, man.

Can I help you?

We're looking for party supplies.
But not the kind you have here.

What do you mean exactly?

We make our own party supplies.

Feel free to look around.
The helium bottles are on sale.

I got this address from Ricky Mertens.

That's possible.
I don't know all my customers by name.

Do you know Ferry Bouman?

Because he doesn't like being brushed off
by some silly cow

who doesn't know who she's talking to.
So go to your boss...

and tell him Ferry Bouman is here
to do business.

Follow me.

What are you looking for?
We have everything for ecstasy

- speed, amphetamines
- 5,000 euros' worth PMK.

I don't know what Ricky told you,
but we sell by the barrel.

A barrel of 100 liters of PMK
costs 75,000 euros

so if your budget is limited,
safrole may be a better choice.

Of course you'll need two labs,
and formic acid...

We want PMK.

Just to test the quality. If it's good,
we'll come back for more.

All I can offer you is a 25-liter barrel,
which is 20,000 euros.

- What time do you open?
- It's on the door.

Have a barrel ready.
We'll have the money tomorrow.

Good girl.

Did that exist in your time?

- It was enormous.
- I've never seen anything like it.

Patrick, you have to postpone the raid.

We left empty-handed.

I can't. Everything is in place
for the raid tomorrow.

They don't sell anything under 20,000.

Where am I supposed to get
that much money?

I don't care.

Have that money by tomorrow morning,
or we're fucked.

What's left to say about Yusuf?

First he kills a cop,
and now he's fired our lawyer.

He's young and afraid.

But that doesn't mean he'll talk.
I'll make sure he doesn't.

Have a seat.

I want to solve this problem myself.

Before you make a decision
that cannot be reversed.

Or has Leyla...

We haven't decided anything yet.

Can you ask her to wait
until I've talked with Yusuf?

Yes, thanks a million brother.

You know you can trust me.
I'm always here.

Let's go out and party
like we used to. I've missed that.

That time is over.

Everyone I want to see, I see here.
And that is enough.

- Go.
- Good evening.

The briefing is underway.
The raid starts at noon.

Okay, that should work.

You don't want to know
what I've had to do for this.

If we succeed, you can pay it back
with interest.

Just don't fuck it up.

It's a quarter past ten.

Come back later?

We can't. If we're still here
when the raid starts we'll end up in jail.

We close off the road here and here.
At least two vehicles on this side.

The other teams join from this side.

Dirk will lead team one, Kurt team two,
Ilse team three.

I want files.

They're emptying the shop.
The raid has to start now.

What? That's not possible.

Patrick, they were tipped off.
A second truck just arrived.

All invoices, files, computers

photos of all the barrels
and their labels...

You have to leave now.
They're emptying out the place.

What? How do you know?

No matter. It has to happen now,
or everything will be gone.

Guys, apparently the plans have changed.

Police.

Your visitors are in your office.

Hello, Mrs. Özkan.

- It suits you.
- Thank you.

Did you hear what happened
at the Festival Shop?

Yes.

What does that mean for us?

- We're safe.
- And our supply?

That might be a problem.

Almost all of our suppliers
buy their raw materials there.

Damnit.

We should have spread the risk.

See if any of your contacts
know where to find raw materials.

What about Ferry Bouman?
Isn't he restarting his business?

The Dutch guy is way too full of himself.

He only wants to talk to Serkan.

He's old school.

He used to be one of the biggest.
I'd like to meet him.

- I'm not sure that's...
- Make it happen.

Timur, stay a minute.

I heard you want to talk to your nephew?

He'll listen to me, I promise.
He's not going to talk.

It's good that you're helping us
find a solution.

Patrick also thinks the Festival Shop
was tipped off.

The good news is that the competition
is now without raw materials.

So are we.

Are those Polish guys still around?

You want to go back there?
You enjoyed it that much?

That'll take too long. We need them now.

I can't just conjure them up.

Timur.

Do you have time this afternoon
at two o'clock?

To see who? Serkan? Or some intern?

We'll treat you with respect.
You have my word.

So?

They'll let us sit at the big table.

Without raw materials.

That's pointless.

The stuff confiscated
at the Festival Shop...

What will happen to it?

It's taken to a chemical company
for processing.

So...

No way.

Ferry, I'm not going to break in.

Not at some civilian company.
Come up with a different plan.

Gentlemen, have a seat.

Gentlemen, welcome.

Leyla Bulut. I'm the owner,
together with my husband.

Mr. Bouman, I believe you know him?

I must apologize for his absence, but...

I hope you're willing
to talk to me, instead.

So...

Serkan's become a car dealer.

Among other things.

We also have party venues, bridal shops,
coffee bars, hair salons... So.

Convenient.

Peter Bogaert. Nice to meet you.

Peter is my business partner.

We've had a lot of good times together.

I'm sorry, but I've never heard of you.

That's because I'm good at what I do.

When the cops arrested me and my men,
they didn't even know Peter existed.

Now that I've restarted my business,
I've asked him to be my business partner.

I'm the CEO, he does the logistics.

He has good connections at the harbor.
He can ship anything.

All over the world?

Also from China? Or are you dependent
on others for that?

We're not a customer at the Festival Shop,
if that's what you mean.

I have a good connection with China.

One that's only for our company.
It's safer that way.

That's what I wanted to hear.

Excuse me, I have another commitment.

It was nice meeting you.

- Say hello to your husband.
- Will do.

I hope you're as trustworthy
as Ferry claims you are.

No Serkan, again.

Forget Serkan, we just met the real boss.

Her?

Serkan was a simple street thug
seven years ago.

He wasn't involved with money laundering,
he was just spending money.

Within five minutes she figured out
how she can use us

without once using the word "drugs".

I think we'll get a test deal,
to see if we can really deliver.

We'll take this step by step.

First a small order, to see how it goes.

That's fine.

For 40,000 pills.
We'll pay you 12,000 euros.

Thirty cents per pill?

I've never gone below 50 cents per pill.

That's the price.

Alright.

If that's your price for big orders,
that's fine.

The pills need to contain between 120
and 140 milligrams of MDMA.

Without crumbling.

Here. Put this logo on them.

Can you deliver before the end
of the week?

Sure.

I'll tell you where and how.

- Leave the negotiating to me.
- We're in. I don't care about the rest.

You should find out
where that chemical company is.

Or do you have a better plan?
We need to deliver before Friday.

No weapons, and no violence.
I'm not going to jail for robbery.

- And we're keeping Patrick out of this.
- Sure.

You fired our lawyer.

He's not interested in helping me.

He's getting paid by Serkan and Leyla.
They protect you, and this is what you do?

What am I supposed to do?
I have to look after myself.

But don't worry, I'll protect you.

They've really gotten to you.
What did they promise you?

They have me by the balls.

Whatever I do, Serkan wants me dead.

That's not true.
Serkan and Leyla are family.

They love you
like you're their own nephew.

The cops are bluffing. Don't fall for it.

Keep your mouth shut,
or I won't be able to help you.

I promised your mother
she'd see her son again, alive.

And the only way is by keeping quiet
and rehiring that lawyer.

Let him do his job.
You'll only go to jail for a few years.

Listen to me. Okay?

I'll make Leyla and Serkan see
that you know you made a mistake.

I swear it to God.

They're the last ones.

Now it's just the night watchman.
Let's do it.

- Is that the PMK?
- How's your Chinese?

Hold on.

- Are you going to call a Chinese guy?
- No, use Google Translate.

PMK smells like aniseed, man.

This is 100% PMK.

They all have the same label.

I say we load them up.

Here.

Keys.

Here, come on.

Yes.

Come on.

Is she standing next to you?

Sure, put her on.

Hi Elsje, I hear you learned
to tie your shoes.

That's fantastic. Congratulations.

Yes, honey, I promise. Yes.

Tomorrow morning you can come
pick me up, together with Mommy. Okay?

Alright, see you tomorrow, Elsje.
Sweet dreams. Bye, honey.

Goddamnit.

Goddamnit.

Stop.

Goddamnit.

Two men are breaking in.

- Put that phone down.
- I said no weapons.

- Shut up. Put it down.
- Calm down.

- Drop the weapon.
- Put it down.

- Open the door.
- Calm down.

- Was that the cops?
- No, Secusure.

- What did you say?
- Nothing, I couldn't get through.

Pick up. Tell them everything's okay.
Hurry up.

Yes? No, I was mistaken.

Yes. Thanks for calling back.
No, it was a misunderstanding.

Alright. Everything's okay.
Have a good evening.

- They won't believe that. Let's go.
- He's seen our faces.

I don't want any witnesses.

Put the gun away.
The cops will be here in 5 minutes.

Sure, mention my name, why don't you.
The old man's history.

I said, put the gun down.

Or I'll shoot you. I mean it.

Not if I shoot first.

Your wallet.

Give me your wallet.

Your granddaughter?

- Yes.
- How old is she?

- How old is she?
- Six. Please.

Listen carefully, Alfons.

One word, and we'll come find you
and your family.

- I know where you live. Got it?
- I won't say anything. I promise.

You remember that.

What's that?

If I don't let them in,
they'll let themselves in.

You're going to make sure they leave,
or I'll shoot all three of you. Got it?

- Yes.
- You do? Hurry up.

Calm down.

Good evening.

Dispatch said there was a break-in.

Yes, but I was mistaken. I told her that.

Go have a look.

You talked about two men.

And then you hung up.

I didn't see it correctly.

I thought I saw two men,
but it was something else.

Everything is okay.

Should I be worried?

No. Not at all.

No.

If there's something we need to know,
now is the moment to tell us.

I'll tell you what's going on.

I have night blindness.

I can't see in the dark.

- A night watchman with night blindness?
- Yes.

I'm going to retire soon.

So I can't lose my job.

Can we keep this between us?

What if there really were two men?

It's a risk, for us as well.

There's a truck with a pallet jack
next to it.

- What's in the truck?
- It's locked.

It's probably heading out in the morning.

We'll have a look.

Can I have the key, please?
It's truck number five.

Maybe one of the employees
took the key home.

- Are they allowed to do that?
- Technically, no.

Then we'll put it in our report,
and come check in the morning.

I may have a spare key
in the storage room.

Ah, there we go. Here it is. Found it.

Let's check it out.

- He's definitely going to talk.
- No, man, he's shitting himself.

If he talks, we'll shoot him.
Fucking coward.

- What's that?
- It's probably heading out in the morning.

No idea.

Let's go.

What will you put in your report?

I'll keep my mouth shut.

But I want you to request a transfer
to day shifts.

Thank you. I will, I promise.

Well done.

Don't you forget.

If you ever point a gun at me again,
you're gonna get it.

Fuck off. You had a gun on you, as well.
You're no better than I am.

So stop pretending that you are, dickhead.

Timur says Yusuf will keep quiet.
And that he'll rehire our lawyer.

I have my doubts.

Yusuf has turned twice in one week.

What will he do
when things get really hard?

Or next week? Next month? Next year?

Can we take that risk?

What will Timur say?
He's like family to us.

If something happens to his nephew...

We can't lose Timur.

Thanks for coming here.

I appreciate your effort and loyalty.

So does Serkan.

We'll never forget that you saved his life
with those Somalis.

But the success of our company
depends on the people we work with.

Like in every major company.

Whoever makes a mistake, has to go.

That goes for Yusuf as well.

I cannot force anyone to choose
between us and their family.

But you have to think very carefully,
Timur. How dependable is Yusuf?

Because we trust you.

Are you 100% sure
that Yusuf will not make a mistake again?

You've earned this.

Whoever helps us achieve success,
should get to share in that success.

And if our collaboration with Bouman
proves fruitful, you'll get 20%.

Patrick?

Do you have a minute?

Come have a look at this.

I found something
on the Festival Shop's CCTV.

I just forwarded it to you. Have a look.

Isn't that Ferry Bouman?

He got out of jail?

Apparently.

Who's the other clown?

No idea. Some lackey, maybe.

Isn't it strange they were there
just before our raid?

Right around the time you said
we needed to move in earlier.

What are you saying?

Did the tip come from him?

Ferry Bouman helping the cops?
That's a good one.

What's wrong?

- Ferry Bouman and Peter Bogaert.
- Yes?

I think they've deceived us.

NEXT TIME

You really think I trust you
with four barrels of PMK, alone?

Just put me back in jail, then.

- Don't worry, that can be arranged.
- Better to be in jail than dead.

- What is this?
- You take everything so personally.

This is how I do business
with my new contacts.

If we want to get out of this alive,
we'd better learn to pretend we get along.

Have I found a weak spot?
