Third Watch (1999–2005): Season 5, Episode 4 - In Lieu of Johnson - full transcript

Jimmy struggles as Acting Lieutenant. Bosco and Monroe deal with a rapper causing problems. Ty is thinking about law school again. Faith is not making any progress with her recovery.

Previously on "Third Watch."

- Hi. - Everything okay?

- Someone you know get hurt?
- I'm the riding ADA.

You're supposed to be in law school.

- It's Monroe, right? - Yeah.

- How you doin'? - Mind your own business.

- Ooh. - So you with Bosco now?

Yeah, just, just temporary.

She doesn't like help, does she?

- That's an understatement.
- It's not fair.

Jimmy, you gotta help
me. I can't live like this, doc.

'I never got to talk to you after'

the helicopter flight the other night.

- 'I wanted to say that pain..'
- It's okay, doc.

I'm just glad that he isn't anymore.

I'm the supervising paramedic in house now.

- Just like that?
- Everyone's got a new job, huh?

Sure not the way I wanted it.

Let's get back.

Watch your step.

That's good, Leon. That's
good. Alright, keep going.

Heading towards the
second-floor rear apartment.

Second-floor front was negative.

Copy. How's Wafer?

You got to say it, probie.

Air's a little tight. But I'm good, sir.

Keep an eye on your tank, okay?

Walsh, what do you got?

Three's clear, I'm heading to four.

Good. Copy that.

- W-what the hell?
- 'Uh, what's the matter?'

- 'Your-your tank's low.' - D.K.

Don't worry. You got enough to get out.

What's goin' on, D.K.?

Alright, alright, don't panic, Wafer.

- D.K.? - 'Don't panic.'

Lieutenant! D.K., I can't find the door.

Wafer, let D.K. lead you out. You hear me?

- D.K.! - 'Wafer!'

D.K., help him.

Alright, he's somewhere out in the hall.

'Somebody help me!'

Lieutenant!

- Walsh, back off and help.
- D.K.'s got it.

No, he's a probie. He'll panic.

Dammit!

- Wafer? - 'Help me!'

Wafer, where are you?

'Someone help me.'

- Wafer, answer me. - 'Lieutenant!'

- Wafer? - 'D.K.!'

Talk to me. Where are you?

Wafer, where are you?

- 'I see some light.' - Wafer?

'Somebody help me!'

'D.K.?'

'Hey, D.K., D.K.!'

- 'Please..' - Wafer.

'Somebody help me!'

- 'Please! Somebody help me!' - D.K.

Jimmy, what the hell are you doin' in here?

What happened? Where's Wafer?

Don't worry about it. I got it.

Go back outside.

Jimmy, go back outside!

Wafer?

'Somebody help me!'

'Lieutenant!'

'D.K.!'

'Somebody help me!'

Wafer, just hang in there.

Wafer?

Come on, Wafer, talk to me.

'Wafer?'

- Here. - No!

- Breathe! Take it! - No!

You never panic! You hear me?

Never panic! Breathe!

'Lieutenant Doherty, report to the floor.'

If your partner's close,
you stay where you are.

- You understand me?
- Chief told me to fall out.

It was part of the drill.

Doherty... this fire started
spreading to the upper floors

as soon as you ran inside

trapping everyone.

'But you didn't discover that'

'weren't able to contact
your crew and get them out.'

Congratulations, you
just killed all your men.

- I said I'm sorry, you guys.
- Way too late now.

What's he supposed
to do? Tell the chief no?

Is anybody talking to you, Nieto?

The guy's brand new.

You don't let a chief make

the whole squad look bad.

- Probie or not. - Who made you look bad?

The chief grabs this probie

out of tactical trainin'
drill and has him act

like he panicked and took his mask off.

He made me.

Yeah, well, you didn't
have to do such a good job.

'You guys blew the drill?'

Not us. Acting Lieutenant Doherty.

Any of you seen any fire manual updates?

Apparently, we got 'em a month ago.

If we did, do we have to put them in?

- Yeah, D.K. - Haven't seen 'em.

Don't worry about the drill, Jimmy.

Kim has been pretending
to be a boss all week.

You finish that inventory I asked for?

- Excuse me? - The meds inventory.

It's finished?

You know what? You're right.

I'll go do it. I'll be downstairs.

Thank you.

- You alright? - Yeah.

I thought the probie took his mask off

in the middle of a live
burn, so I rescued him.

It's what I do.

Only he didn't need rescuing.

The chief threw us a curveball.

I've never known a drill to go like that.

I've never known a boss to kill

his entire crew at a job.

I didn't ask for the job, Billy.

You didn't turn it down either.

- 'Stop touching me.' - 'Hey, hey. What?'

Can't a brother have a really big smile

on his face for no reason at all?

Oh, I don't know. I'm pickin' up a vibe.

Kinda like Superman, I'm sensing something.

I thought that was Spiderman.

Spiderman only senses danger.

We can't tell if it's a supervillain

or a bill collector.

Ah, happy brother got flowers.

Ooh, that's what I'm talkin' about.

That's not an FTD no-reason-at-all bouquet.

- 'Are you jealous?' - Let's go.

I'll be right there, Bosco.

'Whatever.'

You know, why don't you let

some of what Davis has rub off on you?

You know what? Davis can
keep his sunshine all to himself.

- Don't be late. - I'm on my JO.

- Your who? - Add a B to the end.

Or you could just say job.

See y'all later.

Hey.

What? From Miss ADA?

Yeah, we, uh, reconnected.

Oh... LSATs.

What? You dusting off the law school idea?

Let's say I'm considering it.

Very interesting.

Not set in stone.

No, it's set in, uh, pillow talk.

Hey, brother.

'Your mom knows how to'

'take that medicine?'

Yeah, same thing she's been taking.

Good.

That's good.

Hey, Emily, your mom tell you any secrets

about the real Bosco?

- Not really. - Not a bit?

What goes on between my
mom and Bosco is their business.

I don't ask.

Never seen you with anyone else before.

How's school?

I'm adjusting.

Be yourself. You'll be alright.

Nothing's normal anymore.

- Thanks, Bosco. - You're welcome.

Nice. Nice disposition.

Maybe you shouldn't judge people so quick.

I can't believe you out of all people

let that come out of your mouth.

Ma.

- 'Yeah?' - Can you help me in here?

What do you need, hon?

Can you take this tray, please?

Oh, yeah. Wait a second.

You-you haven't eaten anything.

I know. I'm-I'm just, I'm
really not very hungry.

Oh-h-h.

Here are your pills, mom.

Can you put them over here on this table?

Here, I'll take them. Thanks.

'You know, you really
should eat something.'

I'll just put these here.

Let's see.

Here.

It's not too hot.

Here.

Good.

You need the nourishment.

'Good.'

See, now let me explain to you

why your ass just met with the concrete.

You probably thought..

"Here's a brother I
could get five dollars from.

Right?

See, but you was on
the other side of wrong.

See this CD, hmm? Huh?

Kandid Jones been my
man since I was like ten.

'And here you are disrespecting him.'

Selling his CD about a week
before it even hits the street!

Five-O get me, they get you.

It's a waste of time. No
one's gonna say nothing.

Not that you're judging anybody.

- You alright? - Yeah, he's all good.

- Was I talkin' to you?
- My bad... Officer Monroe.

Now, what happened here?

Look... I was just mindin' my own.

I found my African brother flat on his ass.

- What happened? - I fell.

- And you cut yourself shavin'? - Aw, man.

See what happens when
I try to help a brother?

This guy do this to you?

I told you I fell. Can I go?

Maybe next time he'll kill you.

Make a shorter report.

Well, oh-ho-ho.

About time you cops got on the JO.

Did you guys go to the
same spelling school?

I want you to get down to that corner

and you hop streets until you get home.

Now, get out of here. I don't
wanna see you fall again.

Oh, man. See?

You fine and all, but you just let

a crooked-ass punk walk away.

- I don't think so. - Oh, what?

All that blue made you
forget you was black, huh?

No, baby, I'm black every day.

Yo, Wu-Tang, get the hell out of here

and don't come back.

"Wu-Tang." Munchkin's
got jokes. I like that.

- 'Thanks for the ride.' - No charge.

Uh, rough day, huh?

Oh, man.

Fire reports, manpower
reports, incident reports

training reports.

Who knew there was so much paperwork?

EMS has more logs than Lincoln.

Johnson used to always say that.

I guess you pick up things
and don't even know it.

The guys still give you a
hard time the rest of the night?

What difference does it make?

They're not gonna treat you like a boss

unless you make them.

I don't wanna be treated like a boss.

Well, you do want the job, don't you?

When downtown called, I figured why not?

They need me to do it, I'll do it.

If they take it away, they take it away.

You don't care?

Not really.

I say something wrong?

It's just... it's just disappointing.

How?

I just thought you had more respect

for the job than that, that's all.

It's just me.

Squad 5-5 lieutenant, I need two buses

on the corner of 1-1-6 and King.

- D.K. - Somebody help my wife, please.

- I got that. - Stabilize her.

Billy, leave the truck right there.

Yeah, good idea, boss.

Why don't you go tell the cops

how to direct traffic now?

Wafer, grab the Hurst tool

pop the doors on the Volvo first.

No, no. Roof's gonna be easier.

- We got this. - Roof's gonna be easier.

Stop telling us how to do the job.

Billy..

Just like the drill, Jimmy.

Wrong place, wrong time.

'Be careful with her!'

It's okay, honey. It's okay.

I'm gonna pop this, guys.

- Ah! - Is that tender?

- Yeah. - That is tender.

I didn't mean to hurt those people.

Yeah, everyone's gonna be okay.

- Everyone's gonna be fine.
- Everything okay?

Uh, so far. But her
belly's a little tender.

Alright.

Is my baby gonna be okay?

Uh, you were right. This isn't goin' away.

- What happened? - Ah!

Kim, she's bleeding!

- We gotta go! - 'We'll talk later, Jimmy.'

'Let's go.'

- Is that lady okay? - You know what?

I was wondering a little
more about your condition.

What are you talking about?

I was just trying to help you.

I didn't need any help.

Did I do something to piss you off?

You know what?

When we get back to the house

I'm calling a replacement in for you.

You're not in the right
head to do this job.

- You got to be joking! - No.

- What's goin' on now?
- Is the truck ready?

- 'Yeah.' - Let's get back to the house.

'Let's go.'

I wanna go by Faith's,
see if they need anything.

- They'd call. - No, they won't.

Fred won't.

Well, maybe that's a sign that we don't

need to be in his face all the time.

She'll ream me real good when she gets back

if someone else sits outside her building.

Trust me.

- You think she's coming back? - Soon.

With you?

- '5-5, David.' - David.

- I'm just saying you gotta
be... - What are you saying?

- I'm just sayin'..
- 'Turner and 1-3-6... '

- Ah, well, okay. - Don't bet against her.

I'm just saying it's a
serious injury, Bosco.

- She'll heal. - Physically, maybe.

Meaning what?

Meaning have you ever thought

that maybe she won't wanna come back?

Ow! Ow!

Ow!

Does it hurt?

Yeah, that would explain the scream.

Well, you haven't had
much physical activity lately

so you're bound to be stiff.

But if it's serious pain,
we don't want that.

No, we don't want that.

And it's serious pain.

Try just squeezing it some.

Have you, uh, dealt with
many cases like this before?

- Sure. - M-many success stories?

Well, success is a relative term.

What do you expect out of this, Faith?

I expect to get better.

Better is a relative term.

How about a break?

- We just started. - She said it hurts.

Well, there are other things we can do.

Not today.

But I think that we

could make some progress.

Yeah, well, progress

is a relative term.

Maybe we just started
this whole thing too early.

Well, she's, she's six weeks post surgery.

I mean, I would actually have expected

us to be just a little further along.

Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you.

- 'Tomorrow? Same time?' - 'Sure.'

Tomorrow.

Good job today.

Shouldn't she be further along?

Oh, should is... probably the wrong word.

She could be.

Oh, what do you think the problem is?

Well, it's not really for me to say, but..

None of this works if the patient

doesn't want it to.

Look, you've already been
accepted into law school once.

It's just a matter of
getting back on the bike.

Stop. Stop. Stop. You sound like Sharon...

I bet I can read you a
question from this book

and you'll be able to answer
it correctly. You ready?

I don't think I've ever
seen you read anything

that didn't have cartoons in it.

- 'Ha!' - Boo-hoo.

Let me find a good one.

Okay, alright, you ready?

Yes.

"According to judicial experts.."

Mm-hmm.

"the United States is rapidly

"becoming the most litigious

country in the world."

- Uh-huh. - No kiddin'.

"Disputes that could
easily have been be settled

"out of court in a number of ways

"including binding arbitration

"now clog the average court calendar

"in all parts of the nation.

"Which statement, if true,
best supports the argument?

- Is it A... "- Which argument?

That..

That disputes now clog
the average court calendar.

- Right? - Okay.

"Is it A..

"an increasing number
of court cases involving

"employee-employer
disputes which can be handled

"by government administrative boards

"or B, the greater number
of unnecessary court cases

"in society, the larger
the number of trial lawyers

"who are gainfully employed

"or C, the litigiousness of urban dwellers

can be overwhelming
to local court system..."

C.

- It might be A. - No, it isn't.

- C. - Let's find out.

- Survey says A. - What?

A. Right there, number 21.

What? You just knew that?

Well, there used to be a legal cartoon

in the funny pages.

Two for five. "Rap City," "Rap City."

Kandid, Kandid, Kandid.

'Kandid, "Rap City," two for five!'

Yo, my man! You got that new Kandid set!

Yo, yo, yo! My man,
you got that new Kandid?

You got that new Kandid? Let
me see! Let me see! Let me see!

Yo, ladies, where y'all goin'?

Don't miss the show. Don't miss the show.

Come here, man. Come here. Come here.

What I keep telling y'all?

What I keep telling y'all, huh?

What I keep telling y'all, huh? Huh?

Keep your hands out of my boy pockets! Huh?

- Out of what pockets, man? - Ha ha ha!

Yo, didn't I tell you to stay down?

Y'all, it's that reality jump off!

Right here. "Foot In Your Ass TV!"

Who need a coaster? Yo, you need some more?

You need some more? Yo,
yo, some coasters right here.

'Get that Kandid right here. I got it!'

Who need a coaster? Who need a coaster?

'Who need a coaster?'

'Let's chill out in here.'

- What's up? - Oh, what up, pig?

Oh, this guy's all mine.
No more love-fests.

Oh, come on, man. Come on, come on.

Listen, listen, listen, check
this out, check this out.

I know white men can't jump, right?

- But can they run? - 'Get down.'

You stay with him!

Okay, alright. Hold it, hold it, hold it...

You don't want...

Whoo!

- Oh, man, come on, man.
- Come on. Come on. Come on.

Ow!

Come on, big guy! Come on, big guy!

Come on, big guy!

Hey, look at this.

- 'He likes to chase people.' - 'Yeah?'

That's what I'm talking about,
Davis, you go to law school

you'll never have to chase
another idiot down the street.

Or look like an idiot chasing somebody.

Hey, give it a rest. Give it a rest.

Watch this.

I'll be seeing you, my man!

- 'Oh! Yeah.' - You are one mental midget.

5-5, David, I got one
under at Stanley and Arthur.

I hope you didn't hurt anything important.

Nah, just your head.

Right there. Right there.

- Am I becoming a Rodney King? - See?

You wonder why we
can't all just get along, huh?

You're not even worth the effort.

You're gonna do some time, brother.

Hey, yo, Bosco.

We gotta get this guy to the hospital.

Alright, we got the bad guy. Go ahead.

Ow!

- 'You got it, Sul?' - Come on, man.

I got it.

Yo, I don't wanna go to jail, son.

You should have thought of that, dad

before you pissed off
that little man right there.

See me catch him?

Come on, Jimmy.

- You and Billy are friends. - Not today.

You don't need to send him home.

What I don't need is a guy out there

giving me grief over
every damn thing I say.

I give you grief because
you make bad decision.

Go home, I don't mean to be a hard-ass

but you brought this on yourself.

Hey, at least one of us benefitted

from Johnson dying, lieutenant.

Don't you ever say that
to me again! You hear me?

Don't you ever say that to me again!

What's wrong with you?

Alright, you ready to be stumped, smartass?

- Come on. - 'Here it comes.'

You makin' use of that book?

Hey. What's goin' on?

Oh, baby girl.

- 'Hey.' - Baby. Ha ha ha.

Got a perp to talk to. How are you doing?

I've been quizzing him all day.

Ah, good. That means
the night belongs to me.

I got five out of eight right.

How'd you do?

Let's just say he's, uh

more than a little rusty.

Hey, I bumped into Frank
Jackson the other day.

He said he and Jess wanna
have drinks with us tonight.

You still keep in touch with them?

Mm-hmm. Frank's got his own practice.

Jess works for a Wall Street firm.

'You haven't seen them since school.'

- 'Yeah.' - When I told them we were..

Reconnecting.

Ah. Yeah.

They couldn't wait to see you.

Um, you know what?
I'm sorry, I'm busy tonight.

'You told me last night you were free.'

I did. Um..

I got it mix up, I'm-I'm
workin' a double, so..

Hello. Hmm, I'll be there.

You need to remember

you're still working your
way out of doghouse with me.

'I'm doing my best, babe.'

- Call me. - Yeah.

I'll call you.

'Bye.'

- A double, huh? - Mind your own.

'Ho! What are you doin'?'

- 'You can't come in
here... ' - 'Can't come in here!'

What's Kandid Jones doing here?

- I don't know.
- Yo, my dawg's up in here, man.

- I want him out.
- Why're all these cameras here?

See, I can't afford to walk
in here without the cameras.

'You guys got a reputation
for shooting unarmed citizens.'

Especially black ones.

Get out of jail free card, baby.

Sully, go get him.

- Yeah. - We're right here, baby.

A'ight?

Quiet down here, you understand?

The bootlegging bitch
still in here or what?

No, he's at the hospital, your, uh

your dawg got a little carried away.

Well, you know what happens when you

back a dog in a corner.

You're gonna get bit.

- What's up, baby? - Goin' up! Goin' up!

Keep it down. Alright, you know what?

Next time you don't get out so quickly.

Oh, oh, oh.

Check it out, check it out.
Ain't gonna be a next time.

'We plan on taking this
straight to the source.'

'No more street vendors.'

Got a little factory on 96th Street

where they make all this garbage.

Somebody... needs to put an end to it.

Alright, you know what?

You all need to leave.
Let's go, you're out.

I'm all about free speech.
That ain't dead, is it?

No, no. The only thing
dead is good hip-hop.

You tell that to the five million plus fans

that bought every one of my CDs.

You got the bootleg.

Yeah, why don't you come
work security for me, man?

Do the flashlight thing at night..

Where are you goin'?

Uh, to your mom's house.

Oh-h-h!

"To your mom's house?"

If you don't speak up

this guy's gonna walk.

What did I tell you earlier?

These people take the hits...

"These people?"

- What? What? What? - Calm down!

Say, sis, you gonna let
him talk to you like that?

Go away, jack-off.

Ooh.

You know him?

- This is my dawg for life. - Life!

Get a leash and get your dog and get out.

- Mm-mmm. - 'Meow.'

I think me and you need to talk later on

without so much pork around, you know?

- Jack-off. It's good one. - Yeah.

I like that one.

I might use it on
something, you know? Yeah.

Don't trip on your bling-bling, yo-yo.

- Oh, you mean this? - 'Yeah.'

Out!

Let's go.

Yeah, yeah, you know.

'You can't hide yourself
for long, man, you know?'

'You punched Walsh?'

'Solve anything?'

I wasn't trying to.

This isn't how you lead, Jimmy.

Kim..

Go talk to them, make it right.

And say what?

That you're a crappy
leader, but that you'll learn.

Take the hit and move on.

Why does it come so easy for you?

You think it comes easy?

Carlos questions everything I say.

Yeah, but you don't let it get to you.

Because he can't.

- What do you mean?
- Doesn't matter what he says.

End of the day I'm the supervisor.

He doesn't have to be happy about it

and I don't have to
argue with him about it.

- Thanks. - Yeah.

- 'How long is Charlie at camp?'
- 'One more week.'

Feels kinda strange, him not being around.

'That's so sweet.'

'You miss your little brother.'

I didn't say that.

Your mother hated your Uncle Ronny

'till he went away to college.'

'That's how it is when you grow up, honey.'

Brothers and sisters grow closer.

'Mothers and fathers seems smarter.'

'How about that, Faith?'

Couple of geniuses in the makin'.

I think I should go and lay down again.

Let me get that.

Is mom hurt more than they say?

What do you mean?

Well, isn't she supposed
to be getting better?

- What are we doing? - 86 and Pine.

So?

That's where the rapper guy said

they were making the fake disk.

What, what are we now?
This jack-off's personal police?

Bosco, if it's true, it's a crime

and we're crime-fighters,
kinda like your superheroes.

Hey, hey, hey.

They're not my superheroes.

Sounded like it.

No, no, no.

My brother's the one that collected comics.

Yet you seem to have all the knowledge.

- Why do you do that? - Do what?

You messing with me like that.

Because you make it so damn easy.

Look at that.

'You think that's what
they use to bootleg CDs?'

'Probably. You think there's
enough to get a warrant?'

'I don't know. Maybe if we
knew what the hell it was.'

What the hell was that?

Oh, this guy's 15 feet away.

Is it okay to judge this guy a moron?

Where you goin'? Where you goin', buddy?

- Let go of my pants. - Get up. Get up!

Hands on your head. On your knees.

Speak. Oh, this guy is definitely a moron.

'I'm tellin' you, D.K., Jimmy
is in way over his head.'

'This stuff shouldn't happen.'

'It just got out of hand'

'on both sides, Billy.'

'He's not a boss.'

'You saw the way that drill turned out.'

'He's a hot dog. He doesn't think.'

'Squad 5-5, Adam 5-5-3'

'explosion and fire at the
warehouse 96th and Pine.'

You guys come with me.

Kim!

One, two, three.

Alright. I'll get the
C-collar and the backboard.

Lieutenant, where's your company?

They're inside starting a
first-floor search and rescue.

That's not what we need.

Walsh, D.K.

Okay, go to the next.

- 'Walsh, D.K.!' - And stay close.

Stay close!

Walsh, D.K., you copy?

Come on, you stay with me.

- Stay right with me, okay?
- 'Come on, Walsh!'

- 'D.K.! Do you hear me?' - Let's go!

He's got carbon in his nose and mouth.

Agonal resps. We need to intubate.

Urgent. This is urgent.

All units back out of this building!

D.K., Walsh, give me a 10-10?

'We're setting up for an exterior attack.'

- 'Let's go! Let's go!'
- Come on, Walsh, D.K.!

Do you read?

D.K., where's Walsh and Wafer?

I don't know. Someplace up on three.

Alright, get out of here! Now! Come on!

Move! Move! Move! Let's go!

And, D.K., stay out.

'Alright, we're gonna scoop
and run. He's going into shock.'

Let's go. Alright, one,
two, three. Let's go.

Hey.. What else do you need?

Is he gonna make it?

Now, it's more than simple arson.

Walsh, get out of here, now!

How many records did Kandid say he sold?

What?

Five million.

That will mean he has a cult fan base.

If the DA can argue that, then
what he said at the precinct

about somebody burning this place down

it wasn't protected speech.

It was an order that somebody carried out.

You're kiddin' me.

Answer me, Billy!

- 'Over here!' - Billy!

'Wafer's down!'

Get it off me! My leg
is trapped! I can't move!

- Ah! - Come on, Billy! There you go!

Let's go, Billy! Pull him out.

Come on, Billy! There you go! Good!

- He's coming!
- Good, good, good, go, go, go!

'Alright?'

Be careful. Let's go! Let's go!

Wafer, you alright? Come on!

'D.K., we're comin' out.'

Keep goin', come on.

Move your feet!

The second floor's partially collapsed.

Go help D.K.

Hey, how you feelin'?

- Tired. - Yeah.

You mind if I come and
talk to you for a little while?

I'm not going anywhere.

Did you know that one
of your police benefits

for something like this is it that you get

three quarters of your regular salary

for the rest of your life tax free?

Why are you talking about that?

I called the city, your union.

You called the union?

And the personnel department.

What did you tell them?

I said that, um

my daughter was disabled on her job.

- Disabled? - Yeah.

And then they did all the numbers

and it turns out you get more

than you get now. I mean, a lot more.

You told them that I was disabled?

Well... you are disabled.

Mom, the doctor said that
this was only temporary.

Right. Well, you know, let's hope.

"Let's hope?"

That's great.

Thanks, mom. Glad I can count on you.

Things get a little tough and what?

You just throw your hands up an walk away?

You have always been
the strong one in this family.

'For your father, for me'

'your brother, little Emily'

'all of us, we count on you.'

'And that's what's killing me.'

That I don't know how to..

Make you fight for yourself.

It's your boy, Pierre Henderson

with that new reality jump
off, "Foot In Your Ass TV!"

With that new TV reality jump
off show, "Foot In Your Ass TV!"

One second, alright?

Hey, that was tight right there, K.

What? He was videotaping me?

- Alright, turn this crap off!
- 'Stop yelling.'

I'm not yelling. I said turn this..

How do I talk to him?

Hey! Hey!

- Hey! - 'I got it. I got it.'

Get in there!

Take the headphones off. Take 'em off.

- Ooh. - Take 'em off! Now!

Put your hands behind your back

and don't act like you haven't done this.

Come on, man. With this again?

Yeah, this again. Like
you haven't done it before.

Turn around.

You know, I used to
actually like your music.

- You'll like it again. - 'Yeah.'

You can write it from
jail. You videotaped me?

You think I'm here for your amusement?

- Hey! - Are you gonna resist?

Oh, please resist.

- For what? - For what?

Look at that, the CD
warehouse you wanted gone

'two of your idiot fans did that.'

That's a coincidence, man.

You gonna lock me up for freedom of speech?

Oh, the DA thinks different,
and your little home video

makes those assaults premeditated.

- Yeah. - Well, check it out.

Y'all arresting me

it ain't gonna do nothin'

but make me sell more albums.

Hey, yo! Call my lawyer, man!

'Have him meet me at the police station.'

'Make these cops look like
the clowns that they are.'

If you watched the news
you'd know somebody died.

- Somebody died? - People listen to you.

They listen 'cause I tell the truth.

Well, why don't you think about

the good things you could've told 'em?

Nobody wants to hear a fairy tale.

You know what? You're going too.

Oh, I didn't have
nothin' to do with no fire.

All Kandid told me was to find a bootlegger

'and kick his ass, man.'

Hell, he was filming thing the whole time.

Look how your dawgs treat you

when they don't think
you're the big dawg no more.

I hope those cameras catch
your good side in those cuffs.

Let's go. Don't make me cuff you.

- Let's go. - Let's get out of here. Go.

I'll see you on the inside, snitch.

Alright, let's do it.

Hey.

Hey, guys?

Good job.

You go get the rest,
sweetheart, I'll put these away.

Okay.

Thanks.

What are you doin' out here?

Does that therapist come back tomorrow?

I told her I'd call her in the mornin'.

You tell her that we're on.

You sure you wanna rush it?

Yeah, I'll pick up the
ball a thousand times

if that's what it takes
to get out of this chair.

- What happened? - I don't know.

Wafer's got a contusion

and a twisted ankle.

He's out for a while?

- Why, Billy? - What was I gonna say?

I don't think you're
good enough to do this.

You said it to everybody else.

Being a good firefighter
doesn't make you a good boss.

I am your friend.

I mean, I thought you'd
help me figure this job out

not cut me off at the knees.

You're not supposed
to have to figure it out.

I'm the lieutenant and I'm not gonna argue

about it with you anymore.

So if you can't deal with it, transfer.

Did you ever find those extra
pages for the fire manuals?

'The look on Bosco's face.'

'He-he thought you were some
kind of superhero or somethin'.'

'Lawyer-Cop-Man.'

You know I haven't made up my mind yet.

I still might wanna be
a cop. I like being a cop.

'You still wanna be wearing
the bag twenty years from now'

'chasing people around on the street?'

Well, it was good enough for my father.

Yeah, but even your father didn't think

that this was good enough for you.

It's been four years, too long

to be away from all this crap.

What if I took the test with you?

Yeah, right.

I'm totally serious.

Come on, give me some competition.

I bet I could beat you.

I know I can beat you.

- You're not playin'? - No.

We sign up together, we register together

we go take it together.
I score higher than you.

Oh, you... it's on.

- It is so very on.
- You're gonna need this.

Yeah.

- 'You're going down.'
- 'You're going down, my man.'

'Sweet dreams, boys.'

- Good call. - Thanks.

Guy gives rap a bad name.

- No, rap gives rap a bad name.
- Watch your mouth.

I guess if anybody would
know that it would be

Maurice Boscorelli.

I never can read that guy.

- You're one to talk. - What do you mean?

Well, one minute you're
an ass and the next minute

you're who the hell knows what?

- Uh-uh, judgin'. - Psst. Psst.

No judging.

Johnson put 'em in here.

He said he'd deal with 'em
when he had some free time.

Thanks.

I'm sorry, Jimmy.

Me too.
