Welcome to our first‐ever
"Voice" holiday celebration.
Tonight, we're looking back
on some of our favorite
holiday performances from our
coaches both past and present.

Looking back, that
performance was really important
because at the time I was just
getting to know Pharrell,
I was just getting to know Gwen.
Flash forward years,
the relationships that came out
of that group of people,
especially Gwen and I,
I just had no idea.
That was my first season,
and it was really amazing
because each coach
brought their own style
and I just remember
it being really special.
Now it's season 17's powerhouse
from Chicago.
During the finale,
Katie Kadan and her coach,
John Legend, joined forces
for their soulful holiday duet.

memories on "The Voice"

who I just love.

For our anniversary,
she sent us a massive pizza
and a bottle of wine,
which is right on time.
I would probably
have to say Kelly.
Kelly is good at that.
She's always, like, you know,
knitting a quilt.
Well, I'm not going to pick
the cowboy
because it's going to come in,
like, flannel
or some kind of camo print.
I would get some gag gifts
from Blake probably.
Probably give me
that rubber hand again.
I don't know want it anymore.
Blake Shelton is
a really good gift‐giver.
Nothing says the holidays
quite like music
from this four‐time
Grammy winner
and, of course,
our very good friend
here at "The Voice,"
Michael Bublé.
One of my favorite moments
as a fan of "The Voice"
was being able to sit
in my red chair down there
and have a front row seat
to Michael Bublé performance.
He just brings something
to the stage that's so exciting.

In season 15, two of our
powerhouse coaches joined forces
for a very moving
Christmas classic.
Here's Kelly and Jennifer Hudson

We both had been dying
to sing together
for, like, the longest time.
It was really unfortunate.
I was very sick,
but I still was like,
"I'm not canceling it."
It was a moment for us
that we'd kind of been
working for for a minute,
so it actually happened finally.

"O Holy Night" is the song
that my mother made me
sing everywhere.
It was actually
the first Christmas song
I recorded years and years ago,
and I did it for my mother
because my mother,
that's her favorite song.
I have sung "O Holy Night"
in church growing up.
I think we actually
even cut a version
for my Christmas album,
but I thought my version
just wasn't as good
as some of the other versions
I've heard,
and I decided not to keep it
on the album.

love about the holidays.
If you ask any parent,
it always involves,
you know, their children,
especially the first Christmas.
The first time it ever snowed
on Christmas in Oklahoma,
I can't remember if I was 5 or 7
or 8 years old.
It actually snowed
on Christmas Eve
and Christmas Day,
and it was magical to me.
The most important tradition
with my family is singing.
It's almost like a talent show
every year.
We go to church
on Christmas Eve,
and then we come back
and we do Christmas carols
around the piano.
I love Christmas carolers,
but I also was
a Christmas caroler,
so I grew up doing that,
like, going door to door,
and people probably hated us,
but whatever.
We were spreading cheer.
I love food, I love family,
and I really love presents.
I can't even sit down.
Now we've got
a season 15 collaboration
between a "Voice" coach
and a Latin music superstar.

a really fun experience,
and to do this song in Spanish,
I had to get a coach
to teach me the exact accent.
And it was just
a really interesting process.
It was really fun.

for an inspiring performance,

but there's just something
special about that one.

our coaches about the gifts
that really stuck with them.
I knew that my mama put it
on a credit card
and couldn't afford it,
and it was a keyboard.
I wrote my first songs
on that keyboard,
so that's my ‐‐
I still have that keyboard.
My wife, Chrissy,
gives me great gifts.
She always gets me
a robe every year.
Box of potpourri
that had a turd in it.
You know, one year, he gave me
a horse saddle,
but, yeah, I fell off my horse,
so not really using
that much lately.
One of the coolest moments
in "Voice" Christmas history
was Sia.
Of course,
Sia doesn't do anything
like anybody else would do it.
She was actually a gift
inside a gift
performing on stage.

Looking back, that
performance was really important
because at the time I was just
getting to know Pharrell,
I was just getting to know Gwen.
Flash forward years,
the relationships that came out
of that group of people,
especially Gwen and I,
I just had no idea.
That was my first season,
and it was really amazing
because each coach
brought their own style
and I just remember
it being really special.
Now it's season 17's powerhouse
from Chicago.
During the finale,
Katie Kadan and her coach,

"O Holy Night" is the song
that my mother made me
sing everywhere.
It was actually
the first Christmas song
I recorded years and years ago,
and I did it for my mother
because my mother,
that's her favorite song.
I have sung "O Holy Night"
in church growing up.
I think we actually
even cut a version
for my Christmas album,
but I thought my version
just wasn't as good
as some of the other versions
I've heard,
and I decided not to keep it
on the album.

and it was magical to me.

impressed us all so much

was unbelievable,
and the fact that he had been
a contestant on this show
and there he was singing

and it was just so iconic
as anybody else we'd ever had
on the show performing.
That's what an incredible
vocalist that guy is.

it wasn't even on a bucket list,

Any performance
I've ever been
a part of in my life
never includes having dancers
and choreography
and that kind of production.
So I've never been in a
situation like that on a stage.
And it was a rush. So that was
a really cool memory.
