The Following (2013–2015): Season 2, Episode 1 - Resurrection - full transcript

It's been a year since Joe Carroll's death and after three men wearing Joe Carroll masks attack 6 people on a New York City subway car, the FBI asks Ryan Hardy to help them out with the case. He begs off saying he has no further interest in the case - but in fact, has been conducting his own investigation with the help of his niece, Max, an NYPD detective. Although several have been arrested, there are still 8 of Carroll's known followers still on the loose including Carlos Perez who Ryan manages to track down. The survivor from the attack on the subway, Lily Gray, doesn't have much to add to what is already known. Tensions continue to rise among the followers.

REPORTER: Carroll was convicted in 2004

This week, marks the anniversary
of Joe Carroll's death,

and Carrie Cooke is actually
gonna be joining us later

to talk about his murderous cult

and mayhem across the East Coast
and rocked the nation.

MAN ON TV: Yeah. Some scary stuff.

Those are good days.

And the rest of the days,
I'm working on those.

This dinner's for your niece?

Yeah. She wants me to

I have no idea why.

Maybe because she's excited

and wants to share it with you.

Could be that.

Okay. How crazy am I?

Outstanding, Melissa.

Yeah, yeah.

RYAN: Okay. So scattered, messy.
We got a disorganized killer.

What else do you see?

The killer's left-handed.
The stab wounds are left to right.
