The Big Shot with Bethenny (2021–…): Season 1, Episode 7 - It's Not the End, It's Just the Beginning... - full transcript

For their final challenge, the last superstars standing host a launch party for Bethenny's new brand of rosé - and simultaneously ring in her 50th birthday - as they reflect on the sacrifices that have led them to this extraordinary moment.

- My entire career is mixing
business with pleasure.

I'm not a social person.

So personal and business
are blending,

and that's how I like it.

I want to put hair
and makeup on one time,

for work and for pleasure,
check the box,

and then stay in my pajamas
for the next six weeks.

The new office
looks really good.

- It does.
- It looks really good.

I have to say,
I think I like it better.

- I was just gonna say that.

- Okay.
Go, Smallz.

Go with your brother.
Good boy.

Smallz thinks he came out
of my vagina; he really does.

- He does.

- He thinks I gave birth
to him.

I don't do the treadmill,
and my dogs do.

There, I said it.

It's embarrassing.

This is what's gonna on
with these people.

This is this competition.
There's gonna be some,

like Smallz,
who aren't gonna make it.

You gotta get
to the front, man.

Keep up, Smallzy.

- Stay with the--stay with
the front of the pack.

Just 'cause you're tiny
doesn't mean you're not tough.

I am looking
at three candidates

who could actually
hold this job.

Someone's leading by a nose

and then falls back
two lengths.

It's really like a horse race.

You just don't know
who's going to cross

that finish line with grace.

Good boys.

If you can't run
with the big dogs,

stay off the treadmill.

They're such nice babies.

- Anybody nervous yet?
- More numb than nervous.

both: Yeah.

- I think we're gonna walk
into some clues in the loft.

- To be in the final three,

I feel like Bethenny
is so close to the decision

that she wants to make
for this role,

and I think she has
the right three ladies.

I love that it's three women,
three women of color as well.

But I'm gonna be frank.
Like, I'd do anything

and everything to win
and with intention.

So, I'm here to win.

Oh, we've got a new station.

- Uh-huh.
- Our desks are gone.

Yes.
No table, no chairs.

Just a little...

- We're here.
It's the final three.

It feels good.

But now
all personal relationships,

all personal feelings
have to be pushed to the side.

Now we have to fight
each other for one job.

I'm nervous.

- Okay.
- Okay.

- New product launch alert.

- This experience has
all been about learning.

So this is something I really
need to learn at this point.

- So maybe we're, like,
doing some branding photos.

Like a campaign
with pictures or something.

Like, I don't know
what we're doing, guys.

Yeah.

- Krystin--I did not think
she had it in her,

and she came like
a horse from behind.

Krystin takes more risks

and really does know

how to jump off the page
and be creative.

- Thank you, girl.
- Appreciate it.

- Wendy hasn't been the best
at a project.

And cursing,
that's her problem.

But I just love how Wendy
is so calm under pressure,

even when she's freaking out.

- Because of how I grew up

and because I was either
the youngest or the only girl,

I feel like
I have to be fearless,

which is something
that keeps coming up,

where I can say things
that may not be tactful,

but I feel like
that's where I'm truly myself.

Like, I'm here
to get what I want.

Bethenny, she pointed out
that I have a potty mouth.

I just have to be
extra careful.

I don't want her
to hold that against me.

But winning this is--

fuck, I don't even know
what I want to say.

Hold on.

There you go.
I just said "fuck."

Um...

Winning this
is very important to me.

I've been on
the chopping block twice.

And what do I need to do now
to get to the next level,

to really prove
that I have what it takes

to just get the job done?

It's a learning and growing
experience for me, for sure.

- Yeah.

- Milokssy--she seems
more seasoned.

Milokssy seems like
she can manage people.

She can work with others.
She can communicate.

She stays clear
and calm-headed.

- I have to kill it this time.

Like, all my life,
I've been told,

"No, you're too brown.
You're too ethnic.

You're not good enough.
Your hair's too curly."

So, all my life,

I'm always hearing
why I'm not good enough.

So I feel like I have to prove
myself now more than ever,

for all those little girls
out there

and all those women out there
that keep hearing,

"No, you're not good enough."

That my mentality today.

So I'm just, like,
in a different level.

I'm not playing it safe
anymore.

Those days are over.

I want this.
I need this.

I cannot go home
without the winning prize.

I just can't.

- I would just say, whatever
risks to be had today...

- I'm dying my hair pink
if I have to.

- To be perfectly honest,
in the beginning,

I was feeling
a little bit nervous

that no one can do this job.

And I never thought
I would be so torn.

I just see beautiful things
in each one of them.

Who is it going to be?

It could be any
of these women.

both: Hi.
Good morning.

- Good morning.
How are you?

- Doing well.
- You look amazing.

- Thank you.
It's empty in here.

- Yeah, I know.
- It is.

- And quiet.
- Does it feel weird?

- Yes.
- Feels scary?

- No.
- Slightly.

- Do you guys drink wine?
- Maybe not now.

- Thank you, Wendy.
- You're welcome.

- Let's open another one.

- Just a bit.
Thank you.

- I'll get more.

- I appreciate it.

- Oh, it looks nice, the fire.
- Cheers.

- Cheers.
- Thank you for believing in us

and allowing us
to be the last three.

- Yeah.
- Oh, yes.

- We really appreciate
this experience.

- And I feel--yeah, I feel
great about it, I really do.

I don't know what you guys
know about my background.

My initial success
began with cocktails.

I created the first-ever

low-calorie,
ready-to-drink cocktail

marketed to women,

and it really changed
the entire industry.

And at the time,
it was the fastest-growing

liquor brand in history.

And I know I can do it again.

And I decided
to launch another brand.

And I wanted to go into rosé.

And I want it to be fun,
flirty, and sexy.

And I'm not releasing
the name of this rosé

until I make
the official announcement.

It's just a new brand.
It's completely new.

I knew exactly
what the Skinnygirl brand is,

but I have no idea

what this rosé brand will be.

And these girls will be
helping me figure that out.

I am going to host

a launch party here.

There'll be a party planner
and a caterer

that I like to work with,

but the three of you
will be managing the party.

But to properly launch a brand,

we need a media kit.

- A media kit is
a short presentation.

You send it off
to journalists, magazines,

like, just so
they can have a clip

of the launch party
and the product.

- Each of you will be
responsible for creating

a display for the rosé.

This display will showcase
your vision for this new brand.

What do you think
that this brand is?

What do you think this brand
should be in the future?

What do you think should be
conveyed to a consumer,

to a woman, to a customer?

During the party,
you'll be taking photos

and videos of the event

that will be used
in your media kits.

Everything that
this application process

has entailed

will all be utilized
for this final project.

So I hope everybody
was listening.

The launch party
is really important,

because it's to celebrate
my 50th birthday.

It's important to me.
My real friends will be here.

- Surprise.

It's Bethenny's
50th birthday party as well.

So the pressure
is even more intense.

This has to be

the best execution
of all projects.

- Cheers.
- Toast to that.

- Cheers.
- Cheers.

- I find it moronic when people
won't say how old they are,

because it typically means that
they're lying about their age,

so then, let me
just tell you I'm 35.

So then I just look old
and fucking ugly for 35.

Like, I don't see
the upside here.

I should tell people I'm 72.
How good do I look, okay?

I look like I've been
eating placentas for breakfast

every day for a fortnight.

So yeah, I'm 68 years old.

Tap that ass.

I'm gonna hit the road and
figure out what I'm gonna wear.

- Perfect.
- Thank you, Bethenny.

- Awesome.
- Thank you.

- Thank you.
- Bye.

- We're gonna throw you
a fabulous party.

- Yes.
- Bye.

- Thanks.
- See you.

- All right.
Party planning in full effect.

- Yes.
- Here we go again.

Bethenny is asking

for a mission statement,

video, photos, social media,

planning, a media kit.

I'm like,
"Oh, my goodness. Please."

- "The event planner will be
stopping by at 4:00 p.m. today

"to walk the space with you.

"They have already been
given direction,

"and your job is to make sure
my vision is executed.

"The event starts tomorrow
night at 5:00 p.m.

Cheers, Bethenny."

- Cheers.
- I don't know.

I've never had to create
a mission statement

for an item before.

I just don't know
how to approach this.

- Okay.
So here.

These questions, right?
- Yeah.

- Talk about the customer.

Or talk about the benefits
that you pull out from--

- From--
- From the product.

- Yeah.
- I'm thinking to myself,

"What are you doing?
Like, are you serious?

Oh!
Minding my own business."

But this is the last project.
It's do or die.

If you're ready for this job,
like, you have to know

what a mission statement is.

- Hi.
- Hi, ladies.

- Hello.
- How are you?

- My name is Patrick.
This is Alex from my team.

- Hi.
- Hi, Alex.

- Nice to meet you.

- Love to walk you
through the events.

Do you guys have ideas

kind of where you're wanting
to do your observations?

- I have an idea.

- Okay, here's
what I'm thinking, right?

You come straight
down the hallway.

The cake is, like,
dead center, right?

It's for Bethenny's
50th birthday party.

- Mm-hmm.
- Like, so maybe we do

the cake in the middle somehow,

seating on either side
of the cake.

That gets it out the way.

- I just think,
as everyone's walking in,

I want their eye
to just land in one area.

I want the same for my table
over there by the stairs.

- Can absolutely have it there.
- I will do that then.

- Great.

- I keep hearing
Bethenny's voice.

It's haunting me at this point.

- Milokssy took too few risks.

You gotta take some risks.

- I volunteer.
I'm taking front and center.

- I actually want,
like, a gold frame

to put
the mission statement in,

so that--I don't know, is that
something you can bring?

- Yeah.

- I wanna show notes
of what's in here...

- Mm-hmm.
- Is my vision,

but I don't want it
to disrupt the color scheme.

And then I'm also
gonna have a few cards

that people
can take with the QR codes.

I really want guests to know
what they're drinking.

And so I'm thinking about
adding a QR code,

where they can just scan it,

get the product to their
phone, read more about it.

Maybe some of the younger
guests--not "younger"

like the other guests
will be old,

but I'm thinking, you know,
something more tech-friendly.

- I wanted to just set
the tone of romance.

- Romance?
- And naughty, and--

but keeping it
as tasteful as possible.

I want my mission
statement small, intimate.

I'm thinking an experience.

What is an experience
when you have wine?

Strawberries.
Whipped cream.

It would be fun and sexy,

although I don't know
what that means anymore.

This will be very important.

Can we get soft,
satin blindfolds?

- We can definitely
get the ones

that are, like,
sleeping masks.

- Yeah, that's what I mean.
Like, that's--

Not the naughty,
naughty blindfolds.

- Yeah.

- This party, for me, is gonna
be the most important to-date.

- These are--
- Look at this one.

- I do like this one.

- I want her to be actually
having fun and not worrying,

'cause I know criticism,
to me, has been, like,

"I don't want to do more work."

So I certainly don't want her
to be doing more work

walking into
her birthday party.

And so that is solely
what I'm focused on.

- Have a good night.
- All right.

- This is getting intense now.
- The makeup or us?

- No.
- Oh.

- I did not know if this
experience was going

to properly illustrate the job,

and I think
I overshot that mark.

This has definitely shown them
what they're made of.

- Yeah.
- And they've grown.

They're different people
than when they started.

I can guarantee you.
You can even ask them.

They will tell you
that they have, like, learned.

I can see it in them.

They are different people
forever in their work.

This has been crazy.
This is the cream of the crop.

I'm excited
that this process works.

My life got made
if one of these people can--

if one of these people
can do half of the job

I want them to do,
my life got made.

God bless them.

- Ooh.
Hi.

all: Hi.
- How's it going?

We are ready to bring in
about 6,500 flowers.

- Oh, wow.
- Yes, come on, flowers.

- Yes.

- It's on my foot.

- Careful with your foot.
- I got it.

- Okay.

- Hey, Bethenny.
- Hi.

- How are you?

- Well, truth is I'm nervous.
How are you?

- I'm good.

I feel good
about everything here.

- Have you hung out
with these girls today?

Like, did you get
a sense of them?

- Yeah, they are
working together

really well as a whole.

I would say, Milokssy,

she's moving things like one,

two, three, four,
and five times,

just for the sake
of moving them.

- Wow, see, the thing is
I've seen in this process

that Milokssy gets obsessed
with it being perfect,

so she's, like, over--
is that what's going on?

- That's very much
happening today.

- I don't love the pillows.
- Yeah.

- I did want to say that.

- We have to
take the pillows off.

- But I'd like something
on the chair.

- Like, she just wants
everything to be perfect,

but is she in the weeds?
- What am I missing?

Breaking things already.
I don't think I like that.

- Because Wendy,
from what I've seen, like,

she doesn't mind.

She can be done early
and be confident about it.

You know how--
- Yeah.

She's kind of been,
like, a cleaning maniac.

- Okay.
Okay, shit.

So, let me ask you
a question.

This is for a big job, though.

This is, like,
to run my whole fucking show.

So what do you think?
What are you getting?

- I think there's
a clear leader.

Shit.

Who is it?
- It's Krystin.

- Beautiful.
I'm loving it.

- Oh my God, Patrick.
You don't understand.

This is literally--I feel
like I'm on "The Bachelor,"

and I fucked one guy,
I gave the other one a ring,

and I married the third one.

I literally don't know
what is going on now.

All right.
Thank you, Patrick.

I really appreciate it.

Opinions are like assholes,
and everybody's got one.

So everybody likes

somebody else
in this whole thing,

and I can't take it anymore.

I'm gonna have
a heart attack.

I need to start drinking now.

Oh, my God, what am I gonna do?
I'm literally--

- Well, I mean, I feel like
at every elimination so far,

you've been very confident
in your decision, so I'm sure--

- After.
Yes.

- So I'm sure after you
go there and talk to everyone--

- But this is the big show.

This is the big show.
This is it.

- I know.

- Wendy's, like,
killing herself.

Someone cleaning--it's, like,

I want to give her
a ring right now.

- Of course.
- She's cleaning.

- Yeah.
- She's cleaning.

- The fact that her
station was clean

the whole time is,
like, big for you.

- She's cleaning!

It's, like, dangling diamonds.

They're just,
like, big diamonds, like--

- It's raining.
- You know what I mean?

Shooting out of her titties,
just diamonds coming at me.

Like, she's cleaning!

So, that's that.
She's cleaning.

- Uh-uh.
- And then this fucking guy

just told me
clear winner Krystin.

Shoot me now.

- I feel like it'll be
very clear once you get there.

- Well, that's good for you.

That's a touching story
nobody wants to hear.

Go to sleep.
- Good night.

- Cleaning!

- This is our final project,
which adds, definitely,

a lot of pressure to making
sure that I personally execute

everything that
she's gave me feedback on.

Actually, I'm making
this more complicated.

- For my display, I really
wanted to cater to the guests

and to the guest experience,

and to really show

that Bethenny's line

is for the everyday woman.

So my strategy

is to create
little goodie bags

that the guests can take home
at the end of the night.

If they want to take a bottle
of rosé, they can do that.

- I am feeling great.

I see the other
girls' display,

and they do have
really nice displays,

but there's
no experience there.

It's just wine and a cup.

And so I'm happy
with my real estate.

I can't wait for Bethenny
to see it.

- You look so chic.
- Do you like it?

Yeah, it doesn't
look costume-y or weird.

It looks cute.
It's pretty.

- Because you've done
everything else contemporary.

- Yeah.
I love it.

- What is this purse for?
To your bring your pussy?

- Keys.

- Pussy and a Tic Tac.
We're back to the '80s.

I'm going out.

I have one Tic Tac in here,
and my vagina.

That's my night,
ladies and gentlemen.

- It's so perfect
for that outfit.

- Is it ridiculous?
- I mean, again, when else?

- Never else.
- Never.

- No, but I'm not
gonna lie to you,

this bag, I bought when I felt
that I had made it.

It's my dream bag.
I've never worn it till today.

Okay, 50.

Let's do this!

The final project
is so important

because it reflects the future

and the new brands

that I'm giving birth
to for the future.

Moments like this
do make you think.

It's a milestone birthday.

If I stop and really think,
I get the chills.

If I stop and really think
about the fact

that I warrant
creating this experience

and these women
wanting this job so badly,

I really have to pinch myself.

It's incredible that hard work
really does pay off.

- Oh!
Yes!

So are you still gonna be
primarily in the front?

- I will be in the front
taking people's coats.

The goal of this project
is to have a successful event

and to also capture the event

for media kits.

- Can you give me
a picture of the menu,

so I can just put it in my...

My strategy's always to have
my face be remembered.

That is why I picked to be
the first person they greet.

Hello, welcome.
- Hello, how are you?

- I'm doing well.

Welcome to Bethenny's
birthday party.

Correy.
Welcome, welcome.

- Welcome, again.
- Here you go, enjoy.

- Oh, this smells good.
- Sarah.

- Smells good.
- Hello.

- Hello, thank you so much.

- Hi.
- Hi.

- What's your name?
I missed that.

- Milokssy.

- Hi, nice to meet you.

- Oh, look at the cake.

- This is the first drink
I've had for weeks.

I wish I could say the same.

- If you need anything,
let me know, okay?

- Thank you.
- Good seeing you.

- So you guys
are the contestants.

- We are.
We are.

- The final three.

- We are the final three
for the position.

- Congrats.

- Let's just--fuck.
She's coming.

- Oh Lord, I hear the elevator.

Oh, God.

- Surprise.
- Bethenny.

- How are you?
- Welcome.

- Okay, great, thank you.
How are you, how's it going?

- I'm doing well.
You look amazing.

- She's here.

- Oh, my gosh.
- You look amazing.

- Oh, thank you.
- Hi.

- Hey, you.
- You look amazing.

- You look amazing.
- Hi.

My real friends were hear
to help me find somebody

who can fill this position.

I mean, who else do I call
at 5:00 in the morning?

I mean, 5:00--who calls each
other at 5:00 in the morning?

That's not normal.

- No, I love all the time,
"Are you awake?"

"Yep."

- This is now getting
more and more challenging,

because they're all
really hitting their strides,

so they're making it more
and more difficult for me.

- I am looking for the
vice president of operations.

Yes, it's not a schleppy...
- I know.

- I need someone to be
my number two,

to run the fucking show.
This is not, like, just a job.

- No.
- You know, this is the job.

- How can we help?

- You have to grill
these people.

- We're down to three.
- I need it all.

We're down to three.
And that's them, go engage.

Go find somebody
and talk to them.

- Wendy, where are you from?

- I live in California,
born and raised.

- Born and raised in New York.

I'm from Washington Heights,
all my life.

- What's your background?
- Spent, like, ten years

in the creative space.
I was a blogger, a shop owner.

And then my degree,
I'm an accountant.

- Nice.
- And this is my mission.

My woman is powerful.
She's elegant.

She runs a boardroom.
Or she's an entrepreneur.

Everyone loves my display.

I'm proud of it.

I'm feeling good.
But then there's the media kit,

so I have
to kill it there all the way.

I have to take this home.

But at night, she's naughty.
She's naughty.

She brings out
the strawberries.

She brings out the blindfolds.

- Forget about the wine.
I just want to sleep with you.

- I just love the simplicity
of this design.

I love the simplicity
of this woman.

She's multifaceted.

- Our rosé was created to
cater to the everyday woman.

- Yes.
- That's me.

- And remind you
of your beauty and...

- Elegance.
- Elegance.

- So far, I've gotten amazing
feedback on my displays,

but I just can't find time
to do my project.

So it's really difficult,
and it's, like,

stressing me out.
I wanted to keep it simple.

Those are, like,
the berries and the citrus.

- The notes.
I like it.

This is the ultimate test,

because it's being with me

in my natural habitat,

and people that I care about.

- Can I grab
a photo of you ladies,

in front of the flower wall?
- Yes.

- Who's going to capture
content, edit it, produce it?

If someone can it make it
that I'm hosting a party,

and I don't have to think
about anything, that's huge.

That's really what the job is.

That's the most important
thing to me, is the minutiae.

- 'Cause it's actually in
the glass, what's in the wine.

She put it inside the glass,
like a parfait.

- So what's in that glass
is actually in this?

- Yes.
Berries and citrus.

Okay, I'm in.

- Yeah, tell me, tell me.

Everybody,
use your inside voice.

- The one in the white dress,

I found her very engaging
and very confident.

- I find the one
in the black dress amazing.

You would have been here.

She greeted us
off the elevator,

and she came in here,
and she was a businesswoman.

She's not too proud
to do anything.

- Black dress, the long one,
she's been the most social.

- Milokssy.
- Yeah.

- The most, like, "Hi.
How are you?"--engaged.

- They're all great.
They're all awesome.

- Yeah.
They are.

- It's a really hard decision.

- I would like to make a toast!

I'm gonna start crying, and I
haven't even started talking.

Okay.

So I want to make a toast to
Milokssy, Krystin, and Wendy.

They are--
two of you are mothers.

You take care of your mother.

They have been
killing themselves.

And the three of you
are exceptional,

extraordinary women.

You really are
exceptional human beings.

I am shocked.
What you've sacrificed,

most people would
have gone home,

I honestly have to say.

So, Milokssy had
never left her children

for more than three hours,

and has been here
for two months.

I am not the person
that says everybody's a winner,

but you are three exceptional,
extraordinary women.

I have to say that.
- Thank you.

- So I'd like to make a toast
to the three of you.

- Yay.
all: Whoo!

- And this, this is
going to be much harder

than I thought, honestly.

- I miss my children,

and I've never done
anything like this.

So to see Bethenny acknowledge
that and understand it

and feel it with me,

I love her even more right now.

- You guys are amazing.

You pulled this together.

- It's been hard to be away
from my kids.

But I'm doing this for them,
and I'm doing it for me,

because I never think
of me, ever.

- One, two, three on
"Happy birthday."

One, two, three.
all: Happy birthday!

- Who's got the music
under control?

- Look how nice he is.
Look at how he's--

- He's wonderful.
I love his jacket.

- I love him, by the way.

- Right?
How good is your life?

- Thank you, I appreciate you.
I really appreciate you.

- No, but how good--
because you didn't

have to go through all this.
Now, you're--

- I know, right?
I love it, I love it.

I couldn't ask--
it's a blessing.

- That jacket's
a fucking blessing.

- Cheers.
- Happy birthday, Bethenny!

- Let's do a Boomerang.

We're gonna do a Boomerang now.

So, one,
two, three, Boomerang!

- I am 56!

I can't squat for that long.
So let's...

One, two, three, push out.
Leg up, push out, leg up.

- You're like a Rockette, okay?

- One, two, three.
Leg up.

- Yay!

- Did you get it?
Was it good?

- One, two, three,
and shake, shake, shake.

- Yay.

all: Whoo!

- That's a beautiful cake.

- Thank you.
- Whoo!

- I know this is
a competition,

I know that
we all want to win,

we all want to be
on Bethenny's team,

but this is the path
that I've been working

so hard to break into.

And I truly believe

that I have a good shot
at winning this.

- It takes a certain type
of person

to do something like this.

just because I've had so much
time in the creative space

producing videos,
being a blogger, influencer.

So I'm feeling confident.

Maybe more confident
than they are at this point.

- If this is the last task,
let's go all out.

Wendy has her own web page.

Krystin has her own web page.

They're pros.
They do this on the side.

But this last project was

one of my strongest projects.

I'm happy.
I'm good.

- I have a lot to lose.
Like, I've had to grow up

so quickly
to be able to support my mom.

My mom depends on me.

Oh, God.

Mmm.

This is weird.
Sorry.

- No.
Don't apologize.

- I don't like to cry.

- I have grown
since being here.

I always thought
I was a badass.

I always thought I was great,

but now I know
I can be greater.

- It's not easy being here,
and what we're giving up,

what we're really risking
to have this

once-in-a-lifetime role.

And it's-it's heavy.
Everyone has something to lose,

and we have tremendous
to gain as well.

But I'm still here.

May the best person
for the job win.

- Big night tonight.
This is it.

Last leg of the tour.

What an amazing experience.

What a gift to have
this opportunity to interview

someone through this
type of process,

is invaluable.

This is the first time
in a while that I remember

what it was like

to want it so bad.

Love me or hate me,
working for me

is like working for no other,

and you can go all the way.

What?

- Three very special women
at very different parts

of their journeys in life.

If I could hire
every one of them...

Oh, my God.
And we're getting here.

We're here.

Please let me make
the right decision.

I just don't know
what that is right now.

I'll make it--when I see them,
when I hear them,

I'll make the right decision.

- Oh, my God, oh, my God,
oh, my God,

Oh, my God, oh, my God.
My hands are cold.

Grab my hand.

- Yeah.

- Can you believe
I'm walking in here again?

The walk of shame.

- Well, you look fabulous.

- Well, thank you.
Wow.

- Ai, ai, ai.
- You proud of yourselves?

- Yes.
- Yes.

- I am clapping it up
for all of you.

- Are you?
- Yes.

- Very proud.
- So, I think that, one by one,

I'll take you.
We'll go upstairs

and just have a chat.
- Okay, okay.

So Wendy, why don't you
come upstairs with me first?

- Okay.

- And we'll have
a conversation.

- All right.
Let's do this.

- I'm gonna judge everything
in the aggregate,

and I'm going to make
an educated decision

based on
my institutional knowledge

of these women
being here for months

and really going
through their paces.

You support your mom.
- Yeah.

- So, what--have you talked
to her while you've been here?

- Yeah, well,
to be very frank with you,

I told her I'm terrified
and excited at the same time.

I had to grow up
very, very fast.

Growing up, she had
two jobs: factory worker,

grocery store,
just trying to make it happen.

- Yeah, you figure it out.
Exactly.

All right, so let's see
what you did here.

- Okay.

I checked for grammar
and typos.

Oh, you did?

- By the way, I've never done
a media kit for a brand.

- I love it.

- So those are
our three pictures

that we would technically use,

like, on social, like IG.

That's kind of showing you,

like, our Stories,
what it would be.

- Okay, cute.
- Yeah.

- What would impress me
in these media kits is clear,

crystalized information,

to the point, and on brand.

That was cute.

- Yeah.
- This is good.

Now you have made a media kit.
Wendy has definitely grown,

and she really just saw it
from all angles,

just really wanting people
to understand

exactly what they're seeing,
what they're getting,

why they want it,
why it's interesting.

She really communicated.

Good, all right.
- Yeah, awesome.

- Well, all right,
I'll see you in a little bit.

- Okay, perfect.
At the end of the day,

I'm proud of what
I've brought to the table.

And I'm just gonna leave
the rest to destiny.

We'll see what happens.

- So what do you want to do,
ultimately, with your life?

- Right now, I'm using
my company for single moms,

'cause I resonate with that.
Like, I feel like

I'm supposed to help people
be better, help them grow.

- You want to be inspiring
and pay it forward.

You want to make a difference
and have an impact.

- Exactly.

- But you don't know exactly
what vehicle

or what form that takes.
- Yeah.

I know, kind of like you,
in my gut,

when to move on
from something

and when to pursue
the next thing.

- I was you.

I was hungry,
and I was fighting,

but I wasn't--I don't know
that was I polished.

- Well,
it's really inspiring,

I think, to all of us.
- Thank you, thank you.

- Thank you for being you.
- Thank you.

Well, all right,
I want to see what you did.

- So, here, I wanted to be
very clear about, like,

what the objective was.

So, in my line of work,
they call them

KPIs, or key
performance indicators.

- This is pretty detailed,
I would say.

- Yeah, and this would be
a snapshot in time.

So it could be
for three months,

every quarter, or every year.

- Okay.
- This is the video I created.

Oh, okay.

- Ooh, that's good.
The music you used is good.

This is good.

You're good, Krystin.

Krystin doesn't get ruffled,
and she works really hard.

She just wants to do
a good job.

She takes her notes,
and she keeps it moving.

And you can see
the passion in her

come through
in this project.

both: Thank you so much.
- Awesome.

All right, I'll see
you downstairs.

- Thank you.
both: All right.

- I feel like
I have shown Bethenny

pretty much my full range.

I feel like I represented
who I am, what I'm about,

and what I bring to the table,
for sure, at this point.

- Hello.
- Hi.

- So, what have you thought,
honestly?

- I've learned that
I play it safe,

because I don't
want to be seen.

'Cause I've been through
so much in my life.

So that's a way to hide.
- Okay.

- So now I know
not to hide anymore.

- That's so funny,
because in the beginning,

you were hiding more.
- Mm-hmm.

- And you have really come out
of your shell.

And now it's different?
- Now it's different.

Now I'm like,
"Take me as I am."

That's it.

"Take it or leave it."
I know my worth now,

and you've pushed me like
no one has pushed me before.

And I needed that.

I needed to see
that I can do it.

And if I fail, I'm still okay.

- I understand
what that's like.

You know you've got it.
- Yes.

- You know you can do anything.
- Exactly.

- And you know you can
do things

you didn't think you could do.
I really do.

I recognize that,
and I see myself in that too.

I'm seeing myself in all of you
in different ways.

I've learned a lot too
through this, thinking,

"What do I want?
Who do I want?

How do I want them to be?"

And all of you
are very different.

- Mm-hmm.

- So, let's see the--
- Okay.

- Let's see the media kit.

I like the way
that it's laid out

because it's not crowded.

Cute.

Nice.

Oh, Correy, of course.

Ooh, also cute.

Milokssy really produced
an experience,

and she really thought
of every element.

I do think she took chances,

but I also think she's not
afraid to push back and say,

"This is why I'm doing this."

That's how you build
a real business.

Wow.

Okay, well, that was excellent.

You have risen to the occasion,

and I'm actually
really proud of you.

- Thank you.

- So, I'm gonna come downstairs
in one second.

- Okay.
- We're almost there.

We're almost
at the finish line, ladies.

We're almost there.
Me too, I'm like this.

- I know.

- I'm tired too.
We're almost there.

- To be a businessperson,

you have to be
clear and decisive.

You gotta know
how to make a decision.

It needs to be
the right decision.

So let's see
what that's gonna be.

Ladies, want to come on in?

- Yes.
- Yes.

- Bethenny's Angels,
here we go.

- Bethenny's Angels.

- Okay.

Truth be told, throughout
this entire process,

you all surprised me
in so many ways.

I am just so pleased.

I have thought about this.

I am so tired
because I have not slept,

because you know
from the beginning

that it's very important to me.

My business
is completely personal.

It is my baby.
I created it on my own.

It's my blood, sweat,
and tears.

And it's my life.

You know, all of you
are beautiful women

that embody power

and strength and drive.

And I told you last night,
I mean,

what you've been through
and what you've endured,

most people couldn't handle.

I know what that's like,
but you just find the strength

to pull yourself up
from your bootstraps.

And when you jump, you fly.

Whenever I've jumped,
I've flown.

Krystin, you came in and you,
you know,

had a lot of stuff
that you were gonna do,

and, you know,
a lot of just big ideas.

And you hit your stride.
And I watched you say,

"I know how to hone in and what
I'm supposed to be doing.

"And I don't care
what anyone else is doing.

This is how I'm doing it.
I've got it."

And I watched that happen,

and it was an incredible,
incredible thing.

Wendy, I knew from the minute

that I met you--

I just knew,
"There's something about her.

"She's got a toughness,
a strength,

a spice, desire."

And you're scrappy
in the way that I am.

But you don't show that
you're nervous and stressed.

You had your eye on the prize,
and you could handle it.

So, I saw it immediately.

And I just was betting
on you, honestly.

Milokssy, I did wonder
if you'd, you know,

even personality-wise,

I wondered if you'd fade
into the background.

I wondered if you'd have,
like, a low energy level.

It wasn't just about
not being safe.

I just wondered if this
would all be sort of--

that this would be
ridiculous to you.

You know, you seemed,
in the beginning, like...

- No.

- You know, "What are all
these people doing?"

And I didn't think
you had scrappy in you.

I didn't really think that you

would be hungry in this way.

But I just had a feeling
about you, honestly.

I just thought, Milokssy,
you have an elegance to you

and a competence
in presenting yourself,

a way that just,
you're certain of yourself,

even if you're not.

So I see so many
different things

in each and every one of you.

And this is the moment.

This is the moment.

And I want to know
that you each really,

really understand what this is,
and you really want this.

- Oh, my God.

- Like, I'm really still,
in this moment,

making sure that I make
the right decision.

- Do you have something
you want to say?

- No. I'm literally just...

- Gonna throw up?

- It's not gonna be pretty,
but yeah, it's--

all the emotions
are just everywhere.

Trying to keep it together.
That's it.

- Okay, well...

- Jeez.

- God, this is hard.

Milokssy, you are
the new VP of Operations.

You deserve it, mama.

You deserve it.

I'm so happy for you.

You earned it, babe.

For all the little brown girls
out there,

you just represented us.

Congratulations.

- Thank you.
Thank you so much.

- Listen, I want to talk
to all of you guys.

No, no, we're not done.
Sit down.

- I'm gonna take
these lashes out.

- Yes.
She just pulled them out...

- Listen to me.
This was actually very hard.

And every one of you could have
worked for me

in some very meaningful
and powerful way,

and I would have hired
all of you.

But I'm going one step
at a time,

because everything that you do
in your life,

and your business,
should be one step at a time.

Okay?
You are all in my life now.

Okay?
All of you.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

- Literally, I was not
expecting this to be this.

You have--you can have
my phone number.

You can call.
You're my girls.

You are in my life.

You are all
extraordinary women.

And you are
my VP of Operations,

so you are my number two.

Milokssy always
made me feel safe.

There was a hunger
that I've seen in myself,

that I saw in Milokssy.
She wanted it.

She was hustling for it.
Nothing was going to stop her.

She would have killed for it.
She was dying for it.

And I love that,
because I've felt that.

That's me.

I love you all.
It was an amazing experience.

And you-you-you-you shocked me.

Let's have a glass of wine.
Hold on.

We'll open a glass of wine.

You should be
so proud of yourselves.

- Lead the way, mama.
- Yes.

- Go on.
- Miss VP.

- Come on.

- I am Bethenny's vice
president of operations.

all: Cheers, cheers.

- To all of you.
- Thank you.

- Strong women.
- Congratulations.

- Thank you.
- Cheers.

- Here I am.
I got this.

Like, I want to cry.
I want to jump.

I want to dance.
I want to sleep.

But it feels good.

It feels very good.

- Unbelievable, I can't believe
how good you are.

No one's ever done for me
what you've all done.

- This is what happens
when you're raised

by an immigrant.
You gotta work.

- Yeah.
Cheers.

all: Cheers.
- So impressive.

I'm trying not to cry.

I'm genuinely happy
for Milokssy.

I really am.

Because it's
a Latina who won, you know?

This is--she's gonna work
for a mogul.

She's gonna represent.

And that's all I want.
I'll have my chance later.

- This is not the last
you've seen of us.

- Absolutely not.
Absolutely not.

- Not at all.

- I had my heart set
on winning,

but from start to finish,

I have learned so much
from this experience.

I mean, there's, like,
a tremendous wealth

of knowledge
that I didn't have before,

that I've now gained
from being in this process.

And this is gonna make me
a better business owner.

Supporting single moms
and really advocated for that

is what I'm supposed
to be doing right now.

- How happy is your husband
gonna be?

- Oh, man,
is he gonna be happy.

- You really should call him.
- Oh, my God.

- Yes.

- You should call him.
Let's hear.

- Wait, wait.
- Go call him.

- Honey.
- Babe?

- It's me.
- Hi, baby.

- How are you?
- Okay, and you?

- Okay.
I have some news for you.

- What?

- I'm the new vice president
of operations for Bethenny.

- Oh, shit!

- Surprise!

- Are you okay?

- Jack, Mommy won.
- Aw.

- Don't make me cry again.
- Congrats, Mom.

- Thanks, baby.
- Congratulations, my love.

- Thank you.
I'm the boss.

I'll call you guys tonight.
I love you.

All of this sweat and sacrifice

for all these years,

I finally did it.
I'm here.

- You earned this, baby.

- I see myself in all of them.

That was amazing.

That was
the best experience of my life.

- I'm proud of you guys.
Seriously.

I had no idea
this was going to be

such a dramatic,

emotional,

self-examining experience.

This has been a crazy ride,

but I am so looking
forward to Milokssy

starting as my vice president
of operations.

The real adventure
is just beginning.
