The Amazing Race Canada (2013–…): Season 7, Episode 3 - We'll Let the Peasants Fight for Last Place - full transcript

In Edmonton, some teams get blindsided by the first-ever One Way.

Previously,
on The Amazing Race Canada...

Nine teams hit the road
and headed to the mountains

of Revelstoke,
British Columbia...

Woo!

...where they
got the inside track

on the first elimination
of the race.

Jet and Dave
are eliminated.

It is
absolutely anyone's race.

And while some teams
went full throttle...

- Let's do it!
- Yeah!

...others went
way off track...

Whoa!

...allowing Aarthy
and Thinesh to ride the rails...

Choo-choo!

...to a first-place
finish...

Oh my god!

...and nab
a coveted Express Pass.

- Oh my god!
- Is that real?

At the
tree-planting detour,

Saskatchewan sisters
Lauren and Joanne

dug themselves into a hole.

Nothing's
going our way today.

But it was Nicki and Aisha
who were all over the map...

- We were going that way.
- We were going this way.

You want to
go back that way.

...and ultimately
came to a dead end.

You've been
eliminated from the race.

Now, eight teams remain,
as they race to win

the all-new 2019
Chevrolet Blazer RS,

a once-in-a-lifetime trip
for two around the world,

a quarter of a million
dollars cash,

and the Amazing Race Canada.

This is Revelstoke,
British Columbia.

And here, on Mount Mackenzie,
eight teams

are getting all revved up
as they begin the third leg

on The Amazing Race Canada.

Aarthy and Thinesh won
the last leg of the race,

and will depart first
at 12:01 p.m.

Route info.

Fly to Edmonton, Alberta.

Teams must race
to Kamloops airport,

where they'll sign up for
one of two separate flights

heading for Alberta's
capital city, Edmonton.

They'll also be able to stock up
on an assortment of Cliff Bars

to keep them energiZed
along the race.

The first flight will
only have two teams onboard,

who will get a jump
on the competition,

as they arrive in Edmonton
two and a half hours

before the rest of the pack.

Caution,
Double One Way Ahead.

Wow, let's go!

The One Way board.
Oh my god.

Here in Edmonton,
teams will encounter

the brand new Double One Way.

A Double One Way gives
two teams the chance to decide

which detour two other
teams must complete.

And as the name suggests,
there's no switching.

And it's a blind
Double One Way,

meaning any team
that One Ways another,

they'll remain anonymous.

Only two teams can take
the earlier flight to Edmonton.

There's going to be a big
advantage because it'll allow

a team to get to the One Way
board as soon as possible.

The One Way
can ruin someone's race

if you send someone to a detour
that they have no skill at.

They're most likely going home.

Dave and Irina
are our top threats.

They've consistently
been first or second.

They're sore losers.

The other teams are
seeing us as massive threats.

They know we're the best,
so that's why I'm afraid

that they're gonna
One Way us, for sure.

That would change the game.

Caution,
Double One Way ahead.

Let's do it.
Today, first flight.

We're not going second.
Look at us.

We're the first ever
grandfather, grandson team.

After last leg, we have
what it takes to win today.

Who would
have thought

we'd be in front
of Olympians, eh?

Really, eh?

Double One Way ahead.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.

Find the Cliff Bar
signup board

to choose one of two
flights to Edmonton.

Ay!

We'll totally
use the One Way board

- to make up some ground.
- You heard it here first.

We need to get
on that first flight.

Let's go, baby.
Do it for Jonesy.

Any time we travel,
we put our DIFJ headbands

on our backpacks.

So, "DIFJ" stands for
"Do it for Jonesy."

Jonesy was our mom.

She passed away from
cancer when we were 14.

She is definitely
always with us.

She's here, she's
cheering us on, that's for sure.

- Yeah.
- Oh!

Fly to
Edmonton, Alberta!

Woo!

I can't believe
we get to go home!

Today, we're wearing
skirts to honour the thousands

of unreported missing
and murdered Indigenous women.

For our people, women are
the centre of communities,

and so when a woman
goes missing,

the entire community suffers.

As a man, I feel it's my duty to
represent them and honour them,

and what better way than to
wear like an awesome skirt?

Yeah.

Let's go, baby!
Woo hoo!

You have to tell us how
to get back to the airport.

Back to the airport, yeah.

We just have to
get on that flight.

When we
see that One Way,

if we've got an option
to send people home,

we're gonna do it.

I'm not here
to make friends anymore.

Look at that.
There's the airport.

Woo!

Let's get on
the first flight.

Woo-hoo!

- Team number one... aah!
- Good job!

Oh, Cliff board,
right there!

I love you,
Cliff board.

We've secured our
spot on the earlier flight.

We'll have a big lead
over all the other teams

on the second flight.

Heart rate decreasing.

- Dammit!
- Ah!

That's a heartbreaker.

So we're first on
the second flight.

Since we'll be waiting longer,
might as well get a snack.

Ooh yeah, white chocolate.

- Oh!
- Flight number two.

Argh!

Dave and Irina
are on the first flight

with Aarthy and Thinesh.

I really
enjoyed watching you

- plant trees yesterday.
- Yeah.

You guys
actually saved us.

We noticed that you were
using the rope to measure.

Oh, really?

These two
saved our lives.

You have to pull it.

- They're using a rope.
- Oh my god!

So we want to
give you the Express Pass.

- Oh my god.
- Oh, wow!

Dave and Irina just
gave us an Express Pass,

which is something
they may regret.

We want to be fighting against
them in the final three,

which we will be.

You'll probably
still kick our butts, but...

All teams are now traveling
nearly 1,100 kilometres

from Kamloops,
British Columbia,

via Vancouver,
to Edmonton, Alberta.

When teams land, they'll
make their way to The Source,

Canada's largest tech retailer,

where this tech expert
will give them their next clue.

Racers will also
unbox and wear this

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

to track the number of steps
they'll take over the course

of this leg of the race.

The team that finishes
with the fewest number of steps

will win a $5,000 gift
card from The Source.

- Really, really fast.
- Side gate, sir.

Oh yes.

Beat this car
here if you can.

We're in first place,

and we have Dave and Irina
right on our tails, as usual.

A little nerve-wracking,
but at the end of the day,

we're smarter.

- Southgate Centre.
- Here you go.

- Bye.
- Let's go, let's go.

- Hello, hello!
- Welcome to The Source.

- Here's your next clue.
- Thank you so much!

Route info.

Teams will
now search the city

for the historic
High Level Bridge Streetcar.

Once here, they'll hop aboard
to find their next clue.

They'll also encounter the
very first blind Double One Way.

You both must keep
your watches on at all times,

until you reach the Pitstop.

This
Galaxy Watch Active

is going to track our steps.

Okay.
Galaxy Watch.

Look at that.
Super smooth.

In order to win
this steps challenge,

we should take the
biggest steps possible.

We can't be last.

- I know.
- Okay.

Let's fly, babe,
because we can't walk.

High Level Bridge.

Got my man, Kenny!
Yes.

This is
a very stupid idea.

Alright,
let's get in a cab.

Couldn't he pull up
like a few more steps?

Like, come on.

There's the streetcar.
That's where we need to go.

I feel transported back in time.

Oh, babe, One Way.

This could change the game.

Before we choose
to use the One Way,

you have to look at all
the details of the detour.

Celebrate or elevate.

Dubbed the festival city,
Edmonton is known for its strong

support of the local
and international art scene.

In this Detour, teams will
get a chance to take part

in the city's
cultural community.

It's their call,
Elevate or Celebrate.

In Celebrate,
teams will make their way

to the Royal Alberta Museum

where they'll perform
with Edmonton's own

award-winning
Kokopelli Youth Choir.

This internationally renowned
choir has performed in Canada,

and around the world.

After choosing an instructor,

teams will need to learn
the lyrics and choreography

for this medley of traditional
South African songs.

Once teams have mastered
the movements and the music

with the Kokopelli
Youth Ensemble,

the choir director will
give them their next clue.

In Elevate,
teams will make their way

to the 100 Street Funicular,

a glass-walled elevator that
connects Edmonton's downtown

to the North Saskatchewan
River below.

Teams will have to complete two
nearly identical photo puzzles

of the Edmonton skyline.

One up here,
and one down here...

One piece at a time.

Once they've correctly
assembled both puzzles,

Edmonton's poet laureate
will give them their next clue.

Let's try Elevate.

We're not gonna One Way anybody.
We're first.

We'll let the peasants
fight for last place.

Celebrate or Elevate.

- Elevate.
- Okay.

We choose
not to One Way anybody.

We want to run
our own race,

and just have everybody
fight it out.

There's the funicular.
Let's go.

This and where's
the bottom one?

Downstairs.

We have to assemble two puzzles.

One at the bottom of the hill,
and one at the top of the hill.

They're the same image,
but cut differently.

There's pieces of the bottom
puzzle at the top,

and pieces of the top
puzzle at the bottom.

This and this
definitely doesn't go together.

Let's take
the piece downstairs.

Yeah.
We can only bring one piece

at a time from top to bottom,
and from bottom to top.

It's coming up.

The funicular
thing is so slow.

The key to succeed at this
Detour is to not miss one trip

of the funicular because
you lose precious minutes

- every time.
- Let's flip it up.

This one does not belong here.
This is the curve.

Let's just take
this one upstairs.

I like the funicular.

I can enjoy the view
of beautiful Edmonton.

Look, we have the bridge here.

That's what we need
to recreate right now.

- That's Dave and Irina.
- That's them?

Yeah.

Oh, they're here.
They chose it too.

We are so
excited we picked this.

It is not a hard puzzle.

Corner pieces.

Oh, they're all corner pieces.

Oh, hey, guys!

It's gonna be a long day, guys.

So this one
we need to take down.

Let's go.
Let's go.

Dave and Irina
are so annoying.

I'm sick and tired of it.

He's so cocky.

Well, at least
one of us is having fun.

Go, go, go!

Let's go to The Source.

Do you know where
the Southgate Centre is?

Please hurry.

I'm feeling confident.
We definitely have an advantage.

We're from here.
We know all the back roads.

Hopefully, no one
One Ways us.

Let the games begin.

Amy!
Amy!

AMY!
AMY!

Coming!

We have to beat
these other teams.

Okay, okay.

We are
headed to The Source.

We are not going home today.

Not a chance.

Where'd everybody go?

- Back of the plane!
- Let's go!

Excuse me.
Can we just get in here, please?

- Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you.

U of A is over there.

That's where I
went to university.

There's the streetcar.

Hi.
Thank you.

Oh, One Way.

We're not
gonna One Way anyone.

We don't want to risk
bad blood with another team.

- We're gonna Elevate.
- We know the skyline.

We're not good singers.

Well, this obviously
doesn't go here, right?

- Yeah, that's it.
- Perfect.

Take it.
Take it.

We're done.

You are amazing, babe.
You're a superstar.

Okay.
Okay.

It's perfect.

- Check, please!
- Check, please!

Excellent.

- Thank you so much.
- Route info.

Make your way to
Old Strathcona Antique Mall

and search inside for Jon
to receive your next clue.

- For Jon?
- Okay, got it.

Let's go.

- Final piece, baby.
- Final piece.

Okay, babe.
Check!

Thank you so much!

Search inside for Jon
to receive your next clue.

It'd be easy
to spot Jon Montgomery.

He's quite famous.

That's it.
Streetcar, streetcar!

Wait, wait!
Oh!

- Ooh.
- Ooh...

One Way Double!

Detour.

- Celebrate or Elevate.
- Uh...

That's memoriZation,
not in English.

Okay, let's do...

Okay, we're
gonna do Elevate.

Do you want
to One Way anybody?

- Alright.
- Okay.

We gotta
make some decisions.

Gilles and Sean,
Meaghan and Marie,

Sarah and Sam,
Trish and Amy...

Or are they ahead of us?

I don't know
if they're ahead of us.

One Way Double.

We gotta
make some decisions.

Real quick.

- Okay.
- Alright.

We are gonna send
Trish and Amy to Celebrate.

Good luck singing.

We just need to get past people.
That's it, and that's our goal.

- Let's get in the van!
- Yeah!

Come on.
Let's go, let's go, let's go!

Detour.
Celebrate or Elevate.

We'll do Elevate.

Oh, we could
One Way Sean and Gilles.

Wanna make them dance?

Oh gosh, oh gosh!

We choose to blind
One Way Sean and Gilles.

We think they're behind us.

It's okay.
They won't know it's us.

Last leg,
they finished third.

They're a strong team.

The dancing challenge will
be a lot more challenging,

and Gilles seems
less coordinated.

Oh, look,
we got One-Wayed.

Oh, man.

We can't switch detours.

I'm really discouraged,
and I'm very curious

as to who put
our names up there.

Oh, we got One-Wayed,
and it's blind!

It means we're a threat.
Come on!

You will be judged
on your overall performance,

which includes singing
and dance steps.

Oh-ho!

There are two singing
parts, one for each of you.

You may switch parts.

I have a severe
hearing impairment.

I'm almost deaf.
I'm wearing hearing aids.

I'm concerned about the
singing part of the challenge.

We've just
gotta be positive.

Like, we can do this.

So we're on our way to
the Old Strathcona Antique Mall.

We have to
search for Jon.

Jon...
Are you Jon, are you Jon?

Let's go.
Let's find Jon.

Here, at the
Old Strathcona Antique Mall,

racers will hunt through this
27,000 square foot warehouse

filled with thousands and
thousands of antique treasures

to find this bobblehead
doll of yours truly.

- Hi, Jon.
- Hi, Jon.

Once teams find
this handsome devil,

Bobby will give them
their next clue.

What is Jon?

Jon can be
literally anything.

Oh, oh, oh,
John Lennon?

John Lennon...?
Okay, let's try it, yeah.

- Oh, that's what it is.
- Let's go.

- That's not correct.
- Okay, thank you.

Maybe it's like
a portrait of Jon Montgomery.

No, it's not.

So we're
looking for Jon.

I'm really
good at finding things,

so like totally my element.

Look for a redhead.

This is the bridge.

- Let's take this one.
- Yeah.

The funicular's here.
Let's get in it.

Torture.

Press.
Okay.

This takes so freaking long.

That's really similar,
but it's not the same.

That's
the same building,

but unless we have a Leaning
Tower of Pisa on this thing,

it's not it.

Just got here.

Okay, it's up,
it's up, it's up.

This needs to go down.

Let's go.

Okay, now we're
gonna be battling them.

Whoa,
we don't want an accident!

As soon as
the doors close,

it's that awkward small talk.

"Hey, how's your puzzle going?"

"Not bad.
How's your puzzle going?"

"Not good."

I'm so glad
we get to hang out.

- Yeah!
- I know!

Go, go, go.

There are
three teams here.

We've got James and Anthony.

We have Sarah and Sam.

We know the moms
will not be coming here.

Because
we One-Wayed 'em!

Maybe don't
scream that, yo.

Sorry.
I got excited.

Let's go
follow the girls.

Let's go, let's go.

The other team's here.
Let's go.

- This one?
- Yup.

Who's with us?
Who's with us?

You, you're
an incredible singer!

Woo-hoo!
- Let's go sing!

Let's do it!

I have a hearing
impairment, so speak loud.

It doesn't look too
difficult, the dance steps.

It's more about getting
the lyrics down pat for me

Yeah.

Two of my kids have
hearing disabilities.

My youngest is completely deaf,
and I have an older daughter

that has hearing aids.

In this challenge, I hope
that I inspire my kids that

whatever dreams you have
to go after them.

Good.
And then your part.

No, no, no.
No, no, no.

Okay.

Jon... Cena.
John Cena!

That's a wrestler.

I'm gonna puke.
This is the dumbest thing ever.

Jon Montgomery!

- I got him!
- Okay, okay, okay.

Oh my god!
Oh my god!

Ha-ha!

Good job, good job.

Ladies, I think
we got it this time.

- I have Jon for you.
- Congratulations.

Teams must now make their
way to Kurimoto Japanese Garden,

and find the Ozawa Pavilion,

opened in 1994
to promote the friendship

between Japan and Canada.

Here, they'll find
their next clue.

Kurimoto
Japanese Garden, please.

- Go, go, go.
- The Japanese Garden.

Holy moly, man.

There's just so much
stuff here, it's insane.

Where are you, Jon?
Where are you?

Found him.
I found him.

Okay, good.
Let's go, Jon.

I love you, Jon.

Kurimoto Japanese Garden.
Fast, fast, fast, okay?

Chloe Anna,
remember that.

Chloe Anna.

You got the words.
You got the words.

Oh my god,
this is so fun!

Let's do it
one more time.

Bounce, bounce forward.

Bounce, bounce back.

We have the ability
to overcome the One Way.

Three, four.

It really bothers me
that someone's out to get us.

Whoever it is,
we're gonna find out.

They're so gonna
regret One-Waying us.

We can do it.
Let's go!

Oh!

The timing's
a little bit off,

so let's just run it
a couple more times.

Gonna change this thing.

I just changed my hearing aid
to a music setting, so...

Yes!
Check.

- Excellent.
- Team Ahkameyimok!

- Never give up.
- Let's go.

Check, please!

Old Strathcona
Antique Mall.

As fast as you can,
please.

Check, please!

Search inside for Jon
to receive your next clue.

That could be a Pitstop!

Botanical garden.
Here we are, baby.

- Roadblock.
- Who's feeling icky?

I'm feeling icky.

In this Roadblock,
one team member must master

the meticulous 7th century art

of Japanese ikebana
flower arranging.

At the Ozawa Pavilion,

racers must watch
a silent demonstration,

then replicate
this ikebana arrangement,

making sure the flowers are the
correct height, not touching,

and their work station
must be clean.

Once their arrangement is
in perfect balance and harmony,

Nana will give them
their next clue.

Woo!

You're gonna
nail this, baby.

Yes.

Look at that, flowers.

- You've got this, my love.
- Hello.

I'm very happy
that I get to do this Roadblock.

Dave is really good
at giving me flowers,

not arranging the flowers.

She's gonna
be amazing at this.

I've done some
flower arrangements before,

but this looks very
attention to detail,

so I'm gonna try my best.

How does this work?

We're still
gunning for first,

and we think we can do it.
It's over there.

I see it.
Who's feeling icky?

I am.
Let's go.

Let's go.

How do you think
he's gonna do on the flowers?

He's really
good at detail.

It is literally
a cat and mouse game

between Dave and Irina
and Thinesh and I.

I don't think
I've ever gardened in my life.

This is a very
detail-oriented Roadblock.

Okay, check, please.

Please try again.

Oh, my god.

The hardest thing
about this Roadblock

is figuring out the secret.

What am I getting wrong?

If he wants
a perfect flower,

I'm gonna give him
a perfect flower.

We got forced
to come here, right?

- Yeah.
- One more time,

and then we gotta start
learning this dance.

We got it.
Let's go.

You don't think we
should do it one more time?

Marie,
I think we're good.

You want to do it
one more time?

Let's do it
one more time.

- One more time.
- Perfectionist.

I thought we nailed it
our first attempt,

but our timing was off,
so now we've fixed our timing,

and I think we're
gonna get this.

We've gotta beat the twins.

Just gotta get those
moves right at the end.

Okay, listen,
I know what I did was wrong,

but the singing was right.

The first move
needs to be knees together.

So when they do this one?

See, you just need
to remember the sequence.

Okay.

Oh my god.
I am very stressed.

I hope I get this.

Okay, check, please.

Please try again.

I have no idea
what I'm doing wrong.

I'm afraid that the lead
is passing by us.

I am freaking out.

Please try again.

I know that I
have to measure each stem.

I have to make sure
that the flowers are aligned.

I have to clean
the work station.

I know there is a trick.

I keep looking at
the flower master...

and then boom,
figure it out.

The flowers cannot touch.

Okay.

I think we have it, guys.
I think we got it.

Congratulations.

Oh, thank you,
thank you, thank you.

Oh my god,
thank you so much.

- I got it, baby!
- You're amazing!

I got it.

Search the grounds
for the Aga Khan Garden

to find Jon at
your next Pitstop.

Teams must now race on
foot through these sprawling

240 acre grounds, and search
for the Aga Khan Garden.

This contemporary
interpretation

of Islamic architecture
will act as the third Pitstop

on the Amazing Race Canada.

The last team to check in here
may be eliminated.

Let's go.

Team Quebec, number one, woo!

Yes!

Woo!

Can I get a check?

Congratulations.

Thank you so much.

Thank you, thank you,
thank you, thank you.

- I got it!
- Yes!

Find Jon
at your next Pitstop.

Let's go!
I have to pee so badly.

I think it's here,
but maybe not.

Baby, wait up.

I can only run so fast.

Through there,
there, there, there!

I see it!

- Woo!
- Woo!

Let's go, baby.

Welcome to the Aga Khan
Garden in Edmonton, Alberta.

Thank you.

Dave, Irina,

- you're team number one.
- Yes!

Yes, yes, yes!
Oh my god, yes!

Oh my god, yes!

- Love you so much.
- I love you.

As the winners of
this leg of the race,

you've won a trip for two
to Casablanca, Morocco.

Oh!

I love it!

We now have two
first place, and a second.

You bet we're feeling confident.

We're gonna win
the final leg, Jon.

Jon!

So glad
to see you guys!

Arthy, Thinesh,

you guys are team number two.

- Woo!
- We'll take that.

We'll take it.

Man, you guys
are doing well!

These last
two legs have shown us

that it's anybody's race,
and especially could be ours.

Old Strathcona
Antique Mall.

Perfect.

- Good job.
- Let's find Jonny boy.

He could be anywhere.

- This place is like...
- Yeah, huge.

Is this him?

Oh, no, that's Kelly Osbourne.

We're looking
for Jon Montgomery.

This place
is pretty big,

and it's filled
with a ton of stuff.

We have no idea what
we're looking for.

Oh, yo!

We found Jon,
we found Jon, we found Jon!

Congratulations.

Thank you.

Sam found the Jon
in like seconds.

It was incredible.

There's
just so much stuff.

Is this him?

NO, that's Gretzky.

He might
be a bobblehead,

like, in what he wears
on the show.

No.

It's not gonna be that.

- James, I've got him.
- It is a bobblehead!

Hey, guys,
how's it going?

We're from Edmonton!
Woo!

- Jon, look!
- Shh-shh-shh.

I found Jon Montgomery!

We crushed it.

We were out of there
in 10 minutes.

Whoever walks the least
is going to win $5,000.

So I can get
my new laptop!

Do-do-do,
do-do...

Left leg.
Oh my god, man, this is hard.

We are so frustrated.

We're great at puzzles,
but not great at dancing.

Why don't we go out there,
and we can just

follow it with them?

Let's go one more time
through the words, okay?

- Are you guys ready?
- Let's go, baby.

Do it for Jonesy.

Our mom always told us

you have to have
a positive mindset

in everything that you do.

We're not
dancers or singers,

but we bring a ton of energy,
so we say let's Celebrate.

Woo!

- You did it!
- We got it!

Amazing first time!

They got it.
They got it.

I love you!

Do it for Jonesy!

They got it.

Oh, geeze.

Woo!
Thank you!

Gilles and Sean,
they're still behind us.

- Let's go.
- Okay.

Want to go out
and try it?

- We're gonna have to.
- Yeah.

We're feeling
the pressure.

The other teams are gone, and
we haven't even tried it yet.

Oh, man.

We need to get this done.

Oh...

You need
a little more work.

- Aw.
- Argh!

This is my worst
nightmare come true.

I messed up
my Chloe Annas.

So, we have
been One-Wayed,

which means we can't
switch detours.

We're stuck here
doing this dance.

"Chloe Anna,"
that's it.

Chloe Anna, Chloe Anna,
Chloe Anna.

Let's do it again.
Okay, Chloe Anna.

Chloe Anna,
Chloe Anna.

Now.

I lost it.

Argh.

The dance is hard.

He's having a bit of trouble,
but I can't blame him.

You're gonna do
hop, hop, back, back.

He's taught me a lot in
my life, but in this challenge,

the roles are reversed.

- Follow my legs.
- Okay.

- So, hop, hop.
- Hop, hop.

I need to teach him
how to dance.

Just keep going
with everybody.

Do-do-do-do-do...

Search for Jon.

Where's Jon?

This is like
finding Jon in a haystack.

This is the largest
antique mall in western Canada.

Hello!

Want to go upstairs?

- The moms.
- There's a book.

There's Olympic stuff in here.

Vancouver 2010.

We're gonna find him.
I know it.

I know it.
We're gonna find him.

Jon!

We found
Jon Montgomery in here.

But we saw him,
his picture.

- It is?
- Yes.

Okay.
It's not the right one.

It's so hard to even
figure out where to look.

Get the clue.

Who's feeling icky?
You have to do this.

- I'll do it.
- Okay.

I got it, bro.
Japanese flower arranging!

- I wonder how hard it is.
- Me too.

I'm not even worried.

Lauren was frothing
when she read this one.

So, like, honestly, yeah.

We made the right choice.

I'm an art teacher.

Focusing this way is
exactly what I do best.

I know a little bit
about Japanese flower arranging,

and the simplicity is in
balance, keeping things clean.

There's space.

I've never arranged
flowers in a formal manner,

so that's gonna
be quite tricky.

Once, and then up.

We know
the singing part of it.

It's just the dance solo.

Let's do it again.

One, two, one, two.
One, two, one, two.

One, two, one, two.

One, two, one, two,
one, two...

Okay, guys,
you got it this time.

Oh-ho-ho-ho!

Thank you so much!

- Ah!
- Yeah!

I'm upset
that we got One-Wayed.

It is what it is.
We just move on.

Whew!

Did you
look on this side?

Yeah, I just did.
But keep going.

Keep going, keep going.

We've gotta
find him really soon.

Okay, we're trying.
Let's just do our best.

Marie, they got it.
The moms got it.

The moms show up after
us, and they find Jon before us.

The pressure is on.

- Okay, let's go.
- Okay, let's go.

So, now we're ahead
of Meaghan and Marie.

It just takes
a little bit of luck

to turn things around.

Hi, so happy to see you.

Jon, come on, Jon,
where are you, buddy?

This race is wild.

Mm-hm.

Check, please.

Thank you so much.

Check, please.

Thank you.
Thank you.

- Yes.
- Joey!

What?!

Let's go,
let's go, let's go!

- James!
- I'm coming!

Search the grounds
for the Aga Khan Garden.

Warning, the last team
may be eliminated.

- Let's go, now!
- Come on!

- Jonny!
- Bring it in!

Come on, ladies, you too!

Good job.

- Way to go, guys.
- Good job.

Woo, high-five.

Anthony and James,
Lauren and Joanne,

you're teams number
three and four.

Yes!

There was some brand new
game play in the race today.

Did anybody decide to utiliZe
the double blind One Way?

We did.
It's part of the race.

You do what you need
to do to get here.

The double
blind One Way,

it was the best decision
we've made all day.

Come on, Sarah.

- Come on.
- Come.

Right there!

Roadblock.
I'll do it.

Pavilion Tea House.

So were you guys the
lovely ones who One-Wayed us?

It is not us.

Must have been
Joanne and Lauren.

Amy comes in.

I know that Trish and Amy
were One-Wayed,

and now my anxiety is up.

We need to get out of here
before Gilles and Sean show up.

Can I have
a check, please?

- Please try again.
- No, no, no, no, no!

What could it be?

Antique mall
right there.

Antique mall
right there.

Let's go find Jon.

There's
another team here.

Go to the back,
go to the back,

because teams have probably
already looked in the front.

Let's do
a quick, dirty search.

The dancing was fun.
This is not so fun.

Jon, Jon,
why aren't you Jon?

You should be Jon.
Be Jon!

Marie,
we gotta focus.

Okay, Jon, Jon,
Jon, Jon, Jon, Jon.

Channel the energy.
Where is Jon?

I don't know
what I'm looking for.

Marie,
this place is huge.

Marie,
we gotta focus.

We're definitely just missing
all of them right now.

Come on, Jon.
Where are you, buddy?

Marie!
Marie!

Marie, Marie!
Come on, come on, come on.

Okay,
let's go, let's go.

There's no way
that we're winning $5,000.

The amount of steps we did
trying to find that bobblehead.

Okay,
you look on that side.

I'll look at these pictures.

Check, please.

- Please try again.
- No, no.

What could it be?

I really don't know.

Just drop us
off at the garden.

Roadblock.
Do it, Meg, do it.

I'll do it.

Nothing like having
three people in the room.

Meaghan worked at
a flower shop in junior high,

so I'm praying to my mom
that that is in her favour.

Check, please.

Please try again.

I don't know
what I'm doing wrong.

I feel like mine
looks better than his.

It's super difficult to
not know how Sarah is doing.

I like to be in action,
so to be sitting,

and stagnant,
is a little scary.

I'm wondering if they're
allowed to be touching or not.

Okay, check, please.

- Congratulations.
- Oh, yes!

Thank you!

Yes!

Warning, the last team
to check in may be eliminated.

Let's go.

I need Amy to
get out of there quickly.

Okay.

Can I have
a check, please?

- Please try again.
- Try again.

May I have a check, please?

Please
try again, please.

What am I doing wrong?

Jon, Jon, Jon,
come on.

A needle in a haystack.

There he is!
Got it.

Got it.
Let's go.

We seem to
have found your Jon.

- Yes, congratulations.
- I'd like to purchase it.

And good luck.

Kurimoto
Japanese Garden.

And we're
in a huge hurry.

Sarah, Sam...

- Team number five.
- Yes!

- Alright.
- Woo!

- Not great, but...
- We're in the mix.

We're in the mix,
we're in the mix.

Did you guys
decide to utiliZe

the double blind
One Way today?

We want to make sure
there's a little bit of space

between us, and unfortunately,
Gilles and Sean,

so we used
the double One Way.

We are competitors,
and we do play fair.

This is within the rules.

That was
the worst possible thing

could have happened to us
there, that One Way.

Kurimoto Garden, that way.

Who's feeling icky?

- Icky.
- You are.

Me.

Hello.

- How was the dance?
- Horrible.

I want to know who
One-Wayed us today.

It makes you question
relationships.

It's like... what happened?

Oh my god, I'm so stupid,
I'm so stupid, I'm so stupid.

Oh!

Check, please.

Please try again, please.

Oh, I don't understand.
I don't understand.

Hm...

There's two
other teams here,

and I'm hoping Meaghan
can beat those guys,

and we can get to the mat
faster than them.

Nothing's touching one another.

This here needs to be
in a straight line.

Check, please.

- Please try again.
- Okay.

What is it?

Can I get
a check, please?

This is it.

You know it.

Congratulations.

Oh my gosh.
Thank you so much.

See you guys, good luck!

Marie!
Let's get the hell out of here!

We got here
ahead of them.

Amy is still in there working.

I feel like she might
be getting lost

in whatever details
are required.

What did she get right?

Check, please.

Please try again.

God.
What can it be?

What is it?

This is a frustrating thing.

Jonny boy!

Oh!

I'm done.
I'm done.

Oh, God.
Oh, God.

- Meaghan, Marie...
- Yes?

You're team number six.

Oh!
Thank god.

Believing that
our mom is with us,

that's what got me through
that challenge, 100%.

Do it for Jonesy!

It sucks sitting here,

especially when you've been last
this whole day, pretty much.

We should
have been gone.

It's been a really long time.

Start from the beginning.

I don't know what it is.

I've counted the leaves.
I've counted everything.

I don't understand
why I'm getting this wrong.

I don't want to go home.

I don't understand
why I'm getting this wrong.

I don't want to go home.

May I have a check, please?

Congratulations.

- Trish, where are you?!
- I'm coming!

I'm coming!
I'm coming!

Come on.

I don't know if
Gilles got it or not.

Check, please.

Congratulations.

Oh... Ah!
Let's go!

I'm usually really
good with attention to detail.

What the heck?

This is Aga Khan.

Aga Khan, right there.

We did it, baby!

Oh, Trish, I'm so sorry.

Don't you
dare apologize to me.

- You stuck it out and you did it.
- It was awful, awful, awful.

You did it, though.
You did it.

Trish and Amy...

Team number seven.

- How does that feel?
- We'll take that.

It's very challenging, though.

Oh, boy.

'Atta boy, Gilles!

Yeah, buddy!

There they are.

Oh...

Gilles, Sean...

- You are the last team to arrive.
- Yeah.

I am sorry
to tell you this,

but you've been
eliminated from the race.

It's alright.

- What can you do?
- What can you do?

It was a fun journey.

Even though
we got out third leg,

we're the first ever grandfather
& grandson team here.

We're leaving winners.

I'm so proud to be
here with my grandfather.

Who, at the age of 65,

would ever dream of
doing something like this?

Being older
doesn't mean a thing.

When you get my age, every day
you wake up on the right side

of the grass is a great day.

Every time we think of this,
we're gonna have

- real joy in our hearts.
- Yeah.

I'm his guy.
He's my guy.

Have I told you
I love you today?

- Love you too.
- I love you today!

Oh, I love you today.

You've got me
in a headlock!

That's alright.

Today, you were given
a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

that measured the number
of steps that each racer made.

The team that took
the least amount of steps

is going to get a $5,000
gift card from The Source.

And the team that was most
efficient with their movement,

taking 5,041 steps...

was...

Lauren and Joanne.

A $5,000 gift card

from The Source.

Oh my god!
I can get a new laptop!

And a special treat

for all of you from
The Source and Samsung,

you're all gonna get to keep
the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

you came in with.

Someone decided
to One-Way us,

and I just feel like someone
just stabbed us in the back.

We have an idea
who might have One-Wayed us.

Watch out.
We're coming for you.

Next time on
The Amazing Race Canada,

teams trek north to Yellowknife,
Northwest Territories.

Let's do this, woo!

At a Roadblock, teams
discover diamonds are forever,

but also made under pressure.

- Ah!
- Holy canoli.

I'm scared stiff.

And while
temperatures plummet...

- Help me!
- You're okay.

You're alright.

...emotions heat up...

Hey, that's our taxi!
That's our cab!

Man!

...leaving some
teams out in the cold.

This sucks.

I know how much further
ahead of us they're getting.
