Teen Wolf (2011–2017): Season 6, Episode 4 - Relics - full transcript

Chris Argent and Malia Tate protect the others that were marked by the ghost riders. Scott, Liam, Hayden, Mason, and Corey help protect the lacrosse team from the ghost riders while Lydia tries to find clues about Stiles.

We're looking for
somebody named stiles.

You went by that name
in the army, right?

They take people, and erase your memories.
You're next.

Melissa: Someone is biting open heads.
(Chomping)

The real question is, "why?"

(Twigs snapping)

(Footsteps approaching)

(Sighs)

You might want to think twice before you
sneak up on a man holding a loaded m-24.

I wasn't sneaking up on you. I was
catching up with you. (Panting)

I know. I heard you
a mile back.

(Breathing heavily) I found
a low branch with my face.

How do you even
see anything out here?

Practice.

Okay. What are you
doing, Melissa?

I thought maybe you
could use some backup.

Which way?

You can leave me out here alone with
a stun gun and a box of band-aids,

or we can just keep going.
It's up to you.

(Electricity crackling)

You're probably wondering why
I'm out here when I could be

nestled at home reading a book. And
that's because I'm sick of seeing people

that I care about wheeled past
the nurses' station on a gurney.

All of you are out here,
risking your lives,

and it's about time
that I do something too.

When tracking
homicidal supernaturals,

it's best to be quiet.

Okay?
Yeah.

Oh!

What is it?

(Whispering) What is it?

(Panting) He's dead.

Oh, no.

(Gasps)

It's okay.
You're gonna be okay.

How long could she
survive like that?

One, maybe two minutes.

(Sighs) It's still here.

Melissa: Exactly how much training have
you had for a situation like this?

Remember the part
about being quiet?

Yeah.

It's a werewolf?
Werecoyote.

Malia? And she's
coming right at us.

Oh. You're not gonna
shoot her, are you?

No, I'm going to wing her.

(Gunshot)

(Malia growling and snarling)

(Screams)

(Music playing)

That's how he got in?

Mason: It's a point of impact
from a lightning strike.

Usually you'd find
charred spots like that

on the ground
after a violent thunderstorm.

That's how the ghost rider
got in. He rode lightning.

If they can use lightning to
get past the mountain ash...

What about the others?
It's my fault they're marked.

We'll find a way
to protect them.

All of them.

(Malia screams)

(Chris grunts)
Keep her still.

(Breathing heavily)
The morgue? I'm not dead yet.

You're a werecoyote. It's private
down here, and this is going to hurt.

Try not to roar.
(Groans)

(Malia grunts)
You got anything for the pain?

No, I can take it.

It's for me.

What were you doing
in the woods?

Malia: Running.

At 2:00 A.M.?

(Grunts)
Coyotes are nocturnal.

I heard screams. Like
someone-being-murdered type screams.

Did you see anything?
Catch a scent?

Malia: (Grunts) Just blood.
(Sighs)

(Sighs) And that's all I
remember until someone shot me!

It's not her fault. When a
coyote smells a fresh kill,

its senses are overcome.
The blood drives it crazy.

(Malia whimpers)
Melissa: Sorry.

It's pretty deep.
I'm trying not to damage...

(Both yelling)

(Malia breathing heavily)

(Pained grunts)

Here's your bullet back.

(Students chattering
indistinctly)

(Breathing heavily)

(Thunder rumbling faintly)

You don't have to follow
me around everywhere.

I'm just trying
to keep you safe.

What? You're gonna sit
through all my classes?

And what about after school?
What about all night?

Wherever you go, I'll be there.

I'll just stay here.

(Music playing)

(Door closes)

"The k-index
quantifies disturbances"

"in the horizontal component
of earth's magnetic field."

What's a "k-index?"

It's a scale that meteorologists use
to measure thunderstorm activity.

So, a k-index value less than 20 means
no activity, and above 35 is severe.

Mason: Well, your average storm has
about 1,000 lightning strikes.

In the past three months, the average
storm in beacon hills had 5,000.

And what's it reading now?

Uh, 14. We're clear.

Okay, so if a spike in the
k-index means more lightning,

then we can tell if they're coming.
Yeah.

This is good.
Yeah.

(Monitor beeping)

Actually...
This is really bad.

Lydia: It's a relic. (Students
chattering indistinctly)

What's a relic?

An object with a fixed
association to the past.

Jake's ID was left behind
after he was taken.

And Gwen found her sister's
bracelet on her bedroom floor.

How can someone be erased, and
still leave something behind?

A conservation of mass.

The total mass of any isolated
system remains constant.

So, even the ghost riders
have a weakness.

A relic would be proof
that stiles existed.

And maybe we can bring him back.

We need to hide them.
We need to fight them.

We need to hide them.

Who's "them?"
The ghost riders.

The kids at the party.
Got it.

We could get a lightning rod. Attract the
ghost riders and catch them off guard.

But since everyone from
the party is in danger,

all we need to do is find a safe place
to hide them until the storm passes.

The ghost riders ride the
lightning. Nowhere is safe.

It is, if we're underground. The earth can
ground the lightning's electrical charge.

Everyone would be safe.

Okay...

Here's what we're gonna do.

We take everyone into the argent bunker.
It's underground.

We stopped the ghost riders last night.
We can do it again.

You didn't stop them. They just retreated.
We don't know why.

(Exhales)

Okay. How do we get
everyone inside the bunker?

Is this a joke?
No. (Stammers)

And you got to take this seriously. Once
we're all in the bunker, we'll be fine.

I'm not gonna miss the first game of
the year so that you can make captain.

They're a supernatural forces of
nature coming to erase your soul.

It was a man in a hat
with a gun.

And he's coming back
to shoot you in the head.

You want to search my house?

People are leaving things behind.
So if stiles left anything...

Why, why would it be there?

You can't just erase people.
They leave things behind.

(Sighs)

I couldn't sleep last night. So, um, I
got up, figured I'd do some paperwork.

The files were in the back of my car.
So, I, I go to the garage,

and some junk has
fallen off a shelf and I,

I stubbed my toe
on an old baseball bat.

Without thinking
I yelled a name...

Stiles.

Jayden: Why are we
underground?

You guys have a bunker?
Who are you people?

We're the people who know things about the
things that most people don't know about.

What?

Just keep moving.
(Sighs)

Liam... where's Gwen?

I wouldn't touch that.

(Electricity buzzing)

What's all this for?
Your protection.

(Grunting)

Hey, we're missing
three, plus Gwen.

They were at the party,
so they know what's coming.

People see what they want to see.
(Breathing heavily)

Guys, we're running out of time.

Scott, we have to get them.

I'll go. The rest
of you stay here.

Who knows how many are gonna be there
tonight? We're going with you.

Yeah, me too, but at least
I can see them coming.

(Sighs)

All right. But if you
see them coming... run.

Claudia: Is there anything
I can do to help?

No. But thank you,
Mrs. Stilinski.

Well, good luck. (Sighs)
I'll leave you to it.

(Gasps)

(Echoing) You didn't
see it, did you?

See what?

It's right in front
of your face.

(Gasps)

(Breathing heavily)

(Ripping)

(Gasps)
What are you doing?

You're hurting me. (Gasps)

I'm sorry. I shouldn't
have done that.

I think that's something
we can agree on.

(Puddle splashing)

(Sighs)

Thanks for coming.

You need my help?
I need a babysitter.

I'm not the babysitting type.
Coyotes eat their young.

You could've killed me
last night. Or worse, Melissa.

But I can help you.

Aren't you the one who shot me?

I come from a family of hunters.

It's our job to deal with situations
that an ordinary person...

You know that bloodlust you felt?
Oh, I've seen that look before.

When I was your age, I saw someone lose
control and slaughter an innocent.

And I did nothing.

I'm not that werewolf. No,
it wasn't a werewolf.

It was a hunter.
And she made excuses.

Made a very convincing case that
lethal force was necessary.

But it wasn't. And if I had
done something that night,

then maybe my sister wouldn't be
the monster that she is today.

Kate.

(Sighs) Animals lose control.

You're not just an animal,
Malia. You're also a human.

You stay that way
by getting involved.

(Device screeching)

I asked her to come. And I asked
you not to touch anything else.

Look, how much longer do
we have to be down here?

As long as it takes.
(Cocking)

Okay, I'll stay.
(Sighs)

You've shot enough
people for one day.

I'm not waiting in a
bunker to get taken.

(Sighs) You have no idea
what you're up against.

Last night, it took all of us
to stop one of them.

If you go out there,
they'll take you too.

They'll find me wherever
I am. Just like Phoebe.

I'm sorry we couldn't
protect her.

But we can protect you.

Don't worry. When it happens,
you won't remember me.

It doesn't have to happen.

You want them to take you.

Convince Okafur, Steinbach, and Wallace
that playing tonight is a bad idea.

You've read everything there is
to know on the ghost riders.

Who's figured anything out. Have you come
across anything that could stop them?

Not yet. But I can try.

Do that.

(Breathing heavily) I can do this.
I can do this.

(Inhales)
I can do this.

(Exhales)

You're late, McCall!
Why aren't you people dressed?

Get your asses moving. Everyone on
the field! Hustle! Hustle! Hustle!

We'll never get them
back into the bunker now.

Get dressed.

Because there's only
one way to keep them safe.

Play the game.

Mrs. Martin: Were you tearing Claudia
Stilinski's wallpaper off her wall?

(Door closes)
No.

Maybe. Yes.

She's worried about
your mental health.

I saw someone in the hallway. Someone Mrs.
Stilinski didn't see.

Well, if Claudia is
not seeing ghosts,

I think he was trying to help me find
something stiles left behind. A relic.

Did you?
No.

Mrs. Stilinski asked me to leave
before I could find anything.

(Chuckles) Probably because you
were tearing her wallpaper.

(Sighs) Oh, honey.

I've known Claudia since
high school. I trust her.

(Sighs) Do you know what
a confirmation bias is?

The tendency to interpret
information in a way

that confirms
an existing preconception.

Yes. It's a biased
perspective.

You're looking for proof to support
what you already believe is true.

Because you want it to be true.

Stiles is real. I know it.

(Sighs) But do you believe
there's a possibility he's not?

Okay. Tell me
everything you know.

I'll be your unbiased perspective.
(Sighs)

(Players clamoring)
(People cheering)

I'll take Steinbach and Wallace.
You take Gwen. You're on Okafur.

What if I see ghost riders?

Yell.

Then get ready to fight.

(Whistle blowing)
(Players grunting)

(Music playing)

Find your own space.

(Audience booing)

(Buzzing)

(Both grunt)

You wanna back off?

(Buzzing)

Woman:
Go, Liam, go!

(All grunting)

Steinbach:
Come on, man.

There's no ghosts
out here, McCall.

(Buzzing)

What are you doing out there? I'm
gonna kill the three of you.

Do these guys ever practice?

Not enough.

It's just first period.

They could still win.

How do you know that they can't
get in and shoot all of us?

I'll never graduate.

I'll never do anything.
This is it!

Can you think of a better,
less-seizure inducing way?

Don't any of you get it? We
are never leaving this place.

Malia: Jayden.
(Shuddering)

It's okay. Before they get in
here, they got to go through us.

What if that's not enough?

No one is getting
through that door.

(Gasps) Nathan's missing.

(Players clamoring)
(Audience cheering)

(Thunder rumbling)
On your knees.

(Audience cheering)

Yes. Yes. Yes.

(Cheering)

Yes!
(Audience groaning)

Both: Wrong team.

Sorry.

(Both grunting)

(Whistle blowing)

Yes, Dunbar! That's the kind of
passion I want to see. Unleash hell!

What's gotten into everyone?

What if it's the wild hunt? What
if it's affecting everyone?

(Thunder rumbling)

(Wind whooshing)
(Whistle blowing)

(Indistinct chatter)

It's Parrish. (Panting) He's the
reason the ghost rider left the party.

Tell her we need to meet Parrish
at the school right now.

What about Gwen? What about the other
players? We have to keep them safe.

Parrish could keep everyone safe.
(Breathing heavily)

(Horse neighing)

(Lightning crackling)

They're here.

Liam!

I see 'em!

(Lightning crashing)

What happens if he gets out?
(Breathing heavily)

He'll break the seal.

This way.

(Crackling)

(All clamoring)
(Whistle blowing)

(All booing)

Oh, come on, ref! This is
barely a thunderstorm!

(Thunder crashing)

Scott: Okay. We've got
all three, right?

Scott, there were four.

(Horse neighing)

(Screaming)

(Grunts)
(Thunder rumbling)

(Hayden and Mason
breathing heavily)

The ghost riders
are afraid of you.

You're the reason he left Gwen.
You can stop them.

We need you.

The other you.

(Sighs)

You were good back
there with Jayden.

Thanks. I still want
to kill Nathan.

At this point, so do I.
Which way?

This way.

Are you okay?

(Horses neighing)

Okafur: Oh, my god!
They're real!

Stay together. We'll protect you.
How?

(Neighing)

(Echoing)
Run!

Liam: Stay close!

(Gunshot)

(Gunshot)

(Music playing)

(Gunshot)

I can still see them!

(Growling)

(Grunting)
(Horse neighing)

Scott: Liam!

(Grunting)

(Growling)

(Gunshot)

(Growling)

We can't stop 'em!

Protect Gwen!
(Growling)

Melissa: You want what?

Claudia's medical records. Just for a
minute. We know it's a lot to ask.

It's up there.
It's way up there.

As the more recently enlightened
of the two of us, just trust me.

Letting the two of you look at private
medical records is completely

and utterly against
hospital regulations.

So, we better make this fast.

No. I don't know. Maybe. (Panting)
It's like he was right here.

But no Nathan. He's still here.
I know it.

(Panting)

Malia: (Echoing) Nathan,
I know you're there.

How? Chris: (Echoing) Stay put.
We're coming to get you.

No, you're not.

He's moving. You need
to stop running.

You're gonna lead
them right to us!

Nathan!

Shoot him. Did you
listen to my story?

Just clip him.
You clipped me.

You healed. Come on.
We're wasting time.

(Growling)

(Wind whooshing)
(Spurs clinking)

(Panting)

(Gunshot)

Stay back.

(Growling)

(Gunshot)

(Groans)

(Gasps)

(Breathing heavily)

(Horse nickering)

(Growling)

Come on!

No!
(Gunshot)

No!

(Breathing heavily)

Chris: Nathan! Nathan!

We can keep you safe!

Bull. I'm out of here.
(Grunting)

(Clanking)
(Lightning crackling)

(Gunshot)

(Spurs ringing)

(Horses neighing)

(Roaring)

(Whip cracking)

(Gun firing)

(Monitor beeping)
(Keyboard clacking)

Sorry, guys. According
to her medical records,

Claudia never had children.

Well, but she had...

Frontotemporal dementia.
There must be a mistake.

How long ago?
She seems fine now.

Ten years? I'm surprised she's still
alive, honestly. It's a miracle.

(Hayden panting)

Everyone from the
bunker has been taken.

Everyone? How?

Malia is at the hospital. Argent's
been hurt. My mom's with them.

Scott.

Tonight... No. Hey,
it's not your fault.

It's mine. We should have done both.
Defend the bunker and use a lightning rod.

It would've given us
a better chance.

You okay?

No.

There he is. Look at that.
The humility. The grace.

Sure, that wasn't lacrosse
we played out there tonight.

That was la-crap!

You stayed on the field while the
rest of these losers ran inside.

Coach, we lost.
We lost everything.

Listen to the despair.

The rage simmering
underneath it.

(Sighs)

See that, people?
He still thinks he can win.

That's why next time he will win.
Because he will find a way.

Now, show your new captain
some love, you pukes!

(All clapping half-heartedly)

I said,
"show him some love!"

(Clapping)

All: (Chanting)
Liam! Liam! Liam!

(Sighs) He has blunt force trauma to
his temporal bone, three broken ribs,

and multiple surface lacerations
which seem to be from

whip marks?

What he needs is a lot of rest.

Lydia: What happened?

Malia: The ghost riders took everyone.
We barely slowed them down.

Tell us you found something.

I found out Claudia never had children.
So, stiles can't be her son.

What about a relic?

There never was
a stiles, was there?

It doesn't even sound like a real name.
We have to keep looking.

Check the school records
again. Or call Scott's dad...

We're fighting the wrong battle.

We're trying to bring
stiles back.

The ghost riders came back. We still
have no way of stopping them.

And whatever they are, they're real. We
can't keep chasing someone who isn't.

He didn't leave anything behind.

Just us.

(Monitor beeping)

Hayden: Liam? Mason: What
are you still doin' here?

Everyone's gone. Literally.
And we should go too.

Do you want a ride?

I want to catch one.

(Music playing)

What do you wanna catch one?

One of the ghost riders?

Yeah. Go home.

We're not going.
We're not leaving you.

Somebody just made
team captain, right?

Yeah. Guess I did.

Then what do we do?

We catch a ghost rider.

(Music continues playing)
