Teen Wolf (2011–2017): Season 3, Episode 5 - Frayed - full transcript

Held up in a mega-cue on the way to a lacrosse out game, Stiles has great trouble to get out a while with Scott, whose bad Alpha-bite-wound doesn't seem to heal. Flashbacks show a major fight with Deucalion's Alpha-pack, during which Derek is believed killed, but after Alison patches up Scott, who can't resist beating up one of the twins, Derek turns up. Meanwhile vet Deaton got a scary visit from Deucalion, while Peter locates his lair.

Previously on "Teen Wolf"...

Aah!
What do you want?

Are you gonna kill me?

I was gonna see
if you were okay.

This isn't the talk
we were gonna have, is it?

I know you're afraid
of him.

Someone once taught me
a very smart way

to eliminate threat...

Get someone else
to do it for you.

Derek.

They killed the girl
that saved me.

I'm gonna kill 'em too.

[thunder booms]

[blows whistle]
Back to your seat.

Stop thinking about it, man.

Like, you're not
thinking about it too?

Yeah, well, we'll both
stop thinking about it.

I can't.

Well, there's nothing
you can do about it either.

You sure about that?

Everything okay?

Yeah.

Why?

You checked your phone
three times

in the last five minutes.

Waiting for a message.

Anything important?

No.

Nothing.

[growls]

[shrieks]

[growls]

Yo, Scotty.
[snaps fingers]

Hey, yo, Scotty?

Still with me?
Yeah, sorry.

Uh, what's the word?

"Anachronism."

Something that exists
out of its normal time.

Nice. Okay, next word...
"incongruous."

Um, can you use it
in a sentence?

Yes. Yes, I can.

It's completely incongruous

that we're sitting
on a bus right now,

on our way to some stupid
cross-country meet

after what just happened...
incongruous.

Out of place,
ridiculous, absurd.

Perfect.
Okay, next word.

Um, Darach.

Darach, it's a noun.

We have to talk about it
sometime, okay?

And we're gonna be stuck
in this thing

for, like, five hours,
so why not?

Next word...
[clears throat]

"Intransigent."

Stubborn, obstinate.

[bus rattles]

[groans]

Oh, buddy, you okay?

[exhales]

We shouldn't have come.

I knew it.
We shouldn't have come.

We had to.

There's safety in numbers.

Yeah, well, there's also
death in numbers, okay?

It's called a massacre...

Or bloodbath, carnage,

slaughter, butchery, wow,
that's...

All right, Scott,
I'm telling coach that...

No. No, no, no.

I'm all right.

Well, you don't look
all right.

Would you just let me see it?

I'm okay.

Just let me see it, okay?

Okay.

[tense music]

Oh, dude...
I know it's bad,

but it's because
they're from an alpha.

It'll take longer to heal.

How come Boyd and Isaac
are fine then?

I can't believe he's dead.

I can't believe Derek's dead.

Am I getting too close?

I'm getting way too close,
aren't I?

That depends.

Are you just
following the bus,

or are you planning on
mounting it at some point?

Yeah, I should back off.

Well, that also depends.

Oh, do you mean the bus

or the ex-boyfriend
you're currently stalking?

Well, after it happened,

I'm not letting him
out of my sight.

Hm.

And by the way,
this all started

when he came knocking
at my door.

For what?

I found it outside
of the school,

right where Isaac got Boyd
and Cora to turn back.

How do you know it's not
from the archery team?

We don't have
an archery team.

Oh.

And even if we did,
they probably

wouldn't be using
military grade

armor-piercing titanium
arrowheads.

I looked it up.

Maybe it's
one of my father's.

I thought you guys
had some kind of agreement

where you both
stay out of all this.

Is that why you came here?

To tell me
to stay out of this?

No.

Okay.

Well, I can take care
of myself.

I know.

But these guys, Allison,

if you didn't notice,
they're pretty terrifying.

Plus, they have some
serious advantages,

like superhuman strength.

You're pretty strong,
and I can handle you.

Me?

You don't think
I'd have a chance against you?

I didn't say that.

Maybe you didn't notice,
but I'm pretty good

with a bow and arrow.

Okay, well, what if
you didn't have it?

I still have super strength.

I have skills and training.

I have claws.

I'm smarter.

Well, I'm faster.

Prove it.

[sighs]

Okay, I get it.
You can let go now.

[breathing heavily]

- I'm sorry, I...
- Don't...

Don't apologize.

You're right.

- I was just trying...
- I got it.

You made your point.

[door opens]

[exhales]

Allison, the twins
were just messing with us.

I've seen the others.

I'm not telling you this
because I don't think

you couldn't easily
kick my ass if you wanted to.

I'm telling this because

they scare the hell
out of me.

And they should
scare you too.

[elevator dings]

Going down?

I know where they are.

Same building as the Argents,
we know.

Cora and I followed
the twins.

Then they want you to know.

Or, more likely,
they don't care.

What is this?

Isn't it obvious?

The schemers are scheming,

coming up with
a coup de main,

better known
as a pre-emptive strike.

You're going after them?

Tomorrow.

And you're gonna help us.

[orchestral music]

[whistles] Two of you,
back in your seats.

Jared, again, car sick?
Every ti...

How do you even get
on the bus?

[grunts]
Look at me.

No, don't look at me.
Look at the horizon.

Keep your eyes...
keep your eyes on the horizon.

McCall, not you too.

[clears throat]
No, coach, I'm good.

Hey, Scott,
you're bleeding again.

And don't tell me
that it's just

taking longer to heal, okay?

Because I'm pretty sure
that still bleeding

means not healing,
like, at all.

He's listening.

Is he gonna do something?

Not in front
of this many people.

Okay, well, what about
the two ticking time bombs

sitting right near him?

No, they won't.

Not here.

Okay, well,
what if they do?

Are you gonna stop 'em?

If I have to.

They're one floor above them
in the penthouse,

right above Allison.

So kill them first,
that's the plan?

They won't even
see it coming.

Why is the default plan
always murder?

Just once, can someone try
to come up with something

that doesn't involve
killing everyone?

You never get tired
of being

so blandly moral, do you?

Not that I disagree with him.
I do.

Why do we need this kid?

This kid helped
save your life.

And you know we can't
just sit back

and wait for them
to make the first move.

You can't beat
a pack of alphas.

That's why we're
going over Deucalion,

just him.

Cut off the head
of the snake

and the body dies.

Only this isn't a snake,
it's a hydra.

And like Scott says,
they're all alphas.

Deucalion's still
the leader.

Let's hope so.

Because you know what happened
when Hercules

cut off one of the heads
of the hydra?

Two more grew back
in its place.

Somebody's been doing
their summer reading.

[rock music]

So is that whole "not let them
out of your sight" thing

literal or more like
a general rule?

- Why?
- You're running on fumes.

- Ugh.
- Yeah.

And I'm pretty sure
that bus

holds a lot more gas
than this Toyota.

What if we stop?

Is it really
that big of a deal?

I mean, so we lose them.

We know where
they're headed.

You didn't see
what happened.

I know who started it.

Is that what Aiden
told you?

Aiden?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Hold on a second.

Is that why
you're inviting me

on this whole little
road trip thing?

Oh, my gosh.

You're keeping an eye
on them and me.

So there's nothing going on
between you two?

I'm appalled
by the insinuation.

Nothing?

Nothing.

What do you think
you're doing?

What do you mean?

I mean your hands.

They're on your waist.

I know.

What am I, a nun?

Put them somewhere useful.

[dubstep music]

Is that better?

Moderately.

What?

[horns honking]

There's a jackknifed tractor
a few miles ahead.

Could miss the meet.

Boyd?

Boyd?
[snarls]

Whatwhat...
Scott?

Where are you going?

Boyd. He's gonna
do something.

Okay, what?
How do you know?

Look at his hands.

Come on, Scott,
put those away.

I'd have to be blind, deaf,
and quadriplegic

for you to be
an actual threat.

Or maybe you should
take a chance.

Your heartbeat's steady.

You might be afraid of me,

but you're controlling it.

Maybe you'd actually
rise to the occasion,

become an alpha
by killing one.

I'm not like you.

I don't have
to kill people.

Hm. Not yet.

But situations come about,

situations where you realize
the only way

to protect one person
is to kill another.

You wanna threaten me?

Is that why you're here?

No. I live here.

- What?
- I live here.

It's a great building.

And the neighbors
are surprisingly friendly.

What do you want?

I want to see
what you're made of.

[elevator dings]

[indistinct chatter]

Could someone hit the button
for penthouse?

[epic music]

[object clatters]

It's just me, your uncle,

uncle Peter.

Uncle Peter who killed
sister Laura.

Mm, not my finest hour, no.

But I'm hardly the only
dysfunctional family member.

Did Derek mention
that he killed me too?

Slashed my throat,
ear to ear.

So that means
I should trust you?

Actually, I'm wondering
if I can trust you.

You've known me
for 17 years.

I knew you for 11,

leaving the last 6
unaccounted for.

And I'm not particularly fond
of things unaccounted.

What are you doing here?

Same as you...

Wondering where
the bodies went.

Wondering if they
were carried out,

or maybe if one of them
managed to find

enough strength
to push themself

up off the floor
and walk out,

leaving the two of us
standing here

to answer the all-important
question.

Which one?

I don't know
what else to do.

Do I keep trying to get them
to listen to me?

Do I tell Derek that
he's gonna get them all killed?

How do you save someone
who doesn't wanna be saved?

How do I stop them?

Don't stop them.

Lead them.

Let go.

You got a plan.

Tell me your brilliant plan,

and I'll let go.

What are you gonna do?

Kill him, right here?

And then what?

What are you gonna do
after that?

I don't care.

[panting]

I do.

Whoa, whoa,
you're still hurt.

I'm fine.

Give me a chance
to figure something out,

something that
doesn't have to end

with someone else dying.

Okay.

- Crisis averted?
- Mm-hmm.

Okay, good.

'Cause we got another problem.

Ethan keeps
checking his phone,

like, every five minutes.

It's like he's waiting
for something,

you know, like, a message
or a signal of some kind.

I don't know, something evil
though, I can tell.

I have a very perceptive
eye for evil,

but you know that.

I don't like him
sitting with Danny.

Yeah, neither do I.

I'm gonna see
what he's waiting for.

- What are you doing?
- I'm gonna ask.

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes]

[phone chimes repeatedly]

Something wrong?

Actually, I was...

Wondering the same thing
about you.

Well, that wasn't
very subtle.

[phone chimes]

Ennis?

Okay, so does that mean,
uh...

He's not dead.

Not yet.

[bell rings]

It's open.

[intense music]

We could use a little help.

Try the hospital.

Open the gate, Alan.

No.

Help us.

Or maybe I just kill her.

Not here, you won't.

I suggest you leave.

Don't make me insist.

Alan, if he dies,

they'll go after the others.

And don't think
their little protegée Scott

won't find his way
into the middle of it.

They'll kill him.

You know they will.

Alan, please.

[horn honking]

Jared, I'm warning you.

I'm an empathetic vomiter.

You throw up, I'm gonna
throw up right back on you.

And it will be
profoundly disgusting.

Please don't talk about
throwing up.

It's not good.

I might throw up on you
just to make a point, Jared.

It's not good.
It's not good.

Now the rest of you,
don't think

we're gonna
miss this meet because

of a slight traffic jam,

a minor tornado warning,
Jared.

We're gonna
make this thing.

Nothing is gonna stop us!

Stilinski,
put your hand down.

You know, there's, like,
a food exit

about a half a mile up.

I don't know if we stop
and then maybe...

We're not gonna stop.

Okay, but if we stop...

Stilinski!
[blows whistle]

Shut it! Seriously!

It's a little bus!

Stop asking me questions!

I hate him.

Did you call Deaton?

[sighs] I keep getting
his voice mail.

That's it. I'm calling
Lydia and Allison.

How are they gonna help,
back in Beacon Hills?

They're not. They've been
following us for hours.

Pathetic.

[phone ringing]

Hey, Stiles.

Yeah, we're just about
to walk into a movie,

uh, you know,
the popcorn and...

I know you guys
are right behind us.

- Put me on speaker.
- Yeah. Okay.

Okay, look,
Scott's still hurt.

What do you mean still?
He's not healing?

No, he's not healing.

I think he's actually
getting worse.

The blood's turning, like,
a black color.

Wwhat's wrong with him?

What's wrong with him?
I don't...

Do I have a PhD in lycanthropy?

How am I supposed
to know that?

We need to get him
off the bus.

And take him where,
a hospital?

If he's dying, yeah.

Stiles, there's a rest area
about a mile up.

Tell the coach to pull over.

Yeah, I've been trying.

- Well, reason with him.
- Reason?

Have you met this guy?

Just try something.

Coach, it's five minutes
for a bathroom break, okay?

We've been on this thing
for, like, three hours...

[blows whistle]

It's 60 miles
to the next rest stop...

[blows whistle]

Being cooped up for hours
is not good...

[blows whistle]
You know, our bladders

aren't exactly...
[blows whistle]

Coach, this is...
[blows whistle]

Can you...
[blows whistle]

Please...
[blowing whistle]

Let me talk! I'm...
[blows whistle]

[laughs]
Every time-

[blowing whistle]

Get back to your seat,
Stilinski!

Okay!

Jared, keep your eyes
on the horizon.

Hey, Jared.

How you doing?

[all coughing]

[indistinct chatter]

Jared, you suck!

Hey, somebody grab
some towels or a mop

or a new bus.

Oh, my god.

Why didn't you tell us?

- Sorry.
- Okay.

Just give us a second, okay?

This shouldn't be happening.

I've seen him heal
from worse than this.

Okay, what do we do then?

Do we just call an ambulance?

What if it's too late?
What if they can't help?

We gotta do something.

You know, it could
be psychological.

What do you mean,
like, psychosomatic?

Somatoformic.

Som...

A physical illness
from a psychogenic cause.

Yes, it's all in his head.

All in his head?

Because of Derek.

He's not letting himself heal
'cause Derek died.

So what do we do?

Stitch him up.

[exhales]

I'm serious.

Maybe all he needs to do
is just

believe it's healing.

Someone please
turn the sign

on the front door to "closed."

This could take a while.

He's gonna need
another shirt.

Where's his bag?
Um, I'm gonna get it.

I hate needles anyway, so...

Uh, do you know
what you're doing?

Yeah, my father taught me.

I mean, how fast
are you gonna...

I mean, the bus, like,
the bus could leave.

Well, you just make sure
it doesn't leave.

I can help.
Come on.

Okay.

Okay, stay with me.

Stay with me, okay?
Stay with me.

I'm tired.

Scott, just look at me,
okay?

Just keep looking at me.

Come on.

Come on.

Come on.

Unbelievable.

One simple little task?

You can't thread a needle?

I'm trying.

Well, you want my sympathy?

Because you're just
a 17-year-old little girl

and this is all too much
for you to handle.

Well, get over it.

Thread the needle.

My hands won't stop shaking.

Breathe.
Allison, breathe.

[breathes deeply]

Try it again.

Aah!

Okay.

How do we approach
a situation like this?

[whimpers]

- Allison!
- Clinically.

And?

And unemotional...
and unemotionally.

Then stop crying,
and do it.

[sniffles]

[breathes deeply]

Stay with me, stay with me.

[blows whistle]
Let's go.

Back on the bus!

Okay.

Scott. Scott?

Scott?

Scott?

[panting]

Scott.

Scott?

Scott!
[gasps]

It's my fault.

Scott, look at me.

It's okay.

- Did you do that?
- Yeah.

Nice.
[laughs]

Can you stand?

[grunts]

Okay. Put this on.

[gasps]
Whoa.

Where are you going?

Uh, I was gonna go
get some food to eat.

Oh, cool.
I'll come with you.

Nah, dude, it's okay.
I can eat alone.

What are you getting?

Uh, Mexican.

Dude, I love Mexican...

Isaac.

I can eat alone, it's okay.

You're not going alone.

Come on.

[engine whirring]

We're just gonna
talk to him,

try to reason with him.

That's it, all right?

What?

Nothing.
It's just that, uh,

I'm actually
kind of hungry now.

So am I.

Is he okay?
Are you okay?

Yeah. Stiles.
Where's Stiles?

Trying to stall coach.

We still don't have gas.

I'm not leaving him.

Then we have
to leave the car.

- Sounds good.
- What?

That wasn't
an actual suggestion.

Allison, wait.

Ah. Screw it.

You didn't come alone.

Yeah. This is Isaac.

I'm not talking about Isaac.

You knew I would do this?

Derek, don't.

You can't do this
so no one gets hurt.

If someone else dies...
Him.

Just him.

Just me?

Now, how's a blind man

find his way into a place
like this

all on his own?

[tense music]

[growls]

[growls]

- Stiles, what's happening?
- They went after him.

I told 'em what
was happening with him

and they just
went after him.

Who, Boyd?

[grunting]

Isaac, Isaac, Isaac!

Back off!
Stop.

Isaac!

[indistinct whispering]

[panting]

An animal clinic?

It's not as ordinary
as it looks.

The building's half
made out of mountain ash.

I'm not actually sure
how to get in.

Well, maybe we could do
what normal people do

and knock on the door.

- They're here.
- Who?

All of them.

How's our patient?

Out cold.

And the prognosis?

Surprisingly optimistic.

He's gonna make it.

Hm.

I think you might've
overestimated his odds.

But how do we know
who's in there?

Is it Derek or Ennis
or both?

[roars]
[car alarms beeping]

Well, we know one thing...

That wasn't for Derek.

[growls]

[growling]

[growls]

[both grunting]

[grunts]

[growls]

[grunts]

Aah!

Aah! Uhh!

[growls]

[grunts]

[coughs]

Kill him.

The others can go.

You're beaten.

Do it, Derek.

Take the first step.

Are we serious
with this kid?

Look at him.

He's an alpha?

To what?

A couple
of useless teenagers?

Some have more promise
than others.

Let him rise
to the occasion then.

What'll it be, Derek?

Pack or family?

Aah!

[whimpers]

Aah!

Your eyes...

Cover your eyes!

- Someone needs to help them.
- Not us.

I'm getting the consulting
business back up and running,

and you need to graduate.

That's a normal life.

And it's what we agreed to.

So we just ignore it?

We stay out of it.

There's a pack of alphas
trying to kill my friends.

How do I stay out of that?

There's a saying for these
kinds of situations,

the kind you have
to navigate carefully.

It's called,
"threading the needle."

It's finding a safe path
between two opposing forces.

Sounds like
saving your own ass.

They're not your family.

With all the family
that I've lost,

I could use a few friends.

Allison.

[triumphant music]

[growls]

[both growling]

[grunts]

[both growling]

[grunts]

[both grunting]

Hyah! Ah!

[groans]

[both grunting]

[distant crash]

All right.
Let's go over this

one more time.

So it's the sacrifices,
right?

Everything has
to do with them

and someone who thinks
he's, like,

a dark druid of some kind.

Or actually
is a dark druid.

A Darach.

You know...
Some ancient cultures

sacrificed people
in preparation for battle.

So we got alpha werewolves
against a dark druid.

Yeah.

You know,
if he's really dead,

it's not your fault.

Maybe.

But remember that whole thing
that we talked about

where I wasn't accusing you
of being there,

and if you were there
you shouldn't be?

Thanks for not listening.

Heh.

What?

I was just looking
at your eyes.

I don't think
you really know what

you've gotten
yourself into here.

It's a little late
to be playing

big brother,
don't you think?

[gasps]

[intense music]
