Come on, PALs, let's unpack.

"PALs"?

It's our nickname
because those are our initials,

and because we're friends.

What a coincidence.

We also have a nickname
made of our initials.

Let me guess!

You call yourself "the DUBs"

because those are your initials,

and "dubs" is short for "W",
the first letter in the word "wonderful"!

No, but interesting guess.

We call ourselves "the BUDs."

But I do fancy the letter "W".

It's ever so bendy.

That's what I always say!

But not in those exact words.

Come on, PALs, since you're new here,

we BUDs will show you
where to pitch tents.

How do you know we're a new herd?

We make it a point to welcome
the new Fillies. So, officially, welcome.

Welcome back, Diamond Gulch!

See you at barrel-jumping, Silverlode!

Looking good, Buzzard's Hollow!

Did you hear that? Bebe said we look good!

Whoa! Whoa!

Wow! You BUDs really are
the welcome wagon.

It comes with the honor of being
the reigning Legacy Herd.

A Legacy Herd is one that best represents
the qualities of the Frontier Fillies.

I figured you were a high-ranking herd,
judging by your Fillies Pins.

These aren't all my pins.

I've got two more sashes filled.

Wow! That's impressive.

Yours is impressive, too.

It's very...

uh... centered.

We have other pins, too,
from the Clippity-Cloppers.

My gran moved us from London
three years ago.

I worried it might be frightful,
but I do fancy it here.

[gasps] Are those friendship bracelets?

Indeed, they are!

We BUDs have been perfecting
our rope-braiding techniques

since our first Jubilee.

I heard that the stronger the knots
on your bracelet,

the stronger the bonds of your friendship!

Or maybe I just dreamt that.

You confuse dreams with reality, too?

We have so much in common!

And how does one earn
a Legacy Pin, you ask?

Did I ask? I-I don't think I did--

By winning the Great Legacy Race!

It's a course designed to test

how well a herd lives up to
the Frontier Fillies motto:

"Togetherness, exploration,
adventure, and mastery."

You have three Legacy Pins?

We've been the Legacy Herd
every year we've come to the Jubilee.

My mother was a Legacy,
my grandmother, too.

Same with Ursula.

You could say it's a family tradition.

No other herd
has come close to beating us.

the Frontier Fillies Jubilee theme:

togetherness, exploration,

[Fillies] Ooh!

And what do you get
when you put these qualities together?

Is it "MEAT"?

Not quite, Buzzard's Hollow.

[bell ringing]

Hey, PALs, let's begin the day
with a ride to the Sierra River.

I say we start strong with our pins.

I have a plan that will earn us
the most pins in the shortest time.

First we hit saddle embroidery, canoeing,

rock climbing, and wood carving.

Then we stop for lunch,
for eight minutes. And then--

I can't wait to make friendship bracelets

If I put them together, do you know how
many friendship bracelets I could make?

Nine hundred and ninety-nine.

into locks of each other's hair.

This year,
we're using different color cords

to match the color of each other's eyes.
