We just need
a strong enough radio signal.
Create a canyon out of static.
The lead drone's computer will automatically readjust
to get it through the narrow static pass.
WALTER: Right through here.
What about the rest of the drones?
Based on the flight pattern that I saw,
the drug runners have a single pilot
controlling the lead drone.
Now, the rest link up to it remotely
and fly in formation.
Once the main drone enters the static canyon,
all the outer drones will adapt
and move in closer to the center
to avoid losing the leader's signal.
We shoot down the leader,
control switches over
to the next drone in line.
We'll nail 'em one at a time.

Walter's ultimatum may be moot.
Happy's pissed at me.
Well, putting tracking software in her cell phone
is pretty stalkerish.
Just eat your cotton candy and shut up.
Nothing says "I'm sorry" like a web of spun sugar.
You know, in my defense,
if I hadn't installed that app on your phone,
then Sly wouldn't have tracked Walt and Cabe
and sent reprogrammed Birdroni to the rescue.
You're hugging the bunny way too tight, Lennie.
You're right.
I'm sorry.
I'm scared.
You don't know what I felt in the South Pole.
You-you were literally lost in the middle of a whiteout
with no idea where you were.
I was without you,
and-and you don't get it, 'cause this is new to you,
but, uh, I've been in love with you for years.
If I'm hugging bunny tight,
it's 'cause I don't want to lose bunny again.
Stop referring to me as "bunny."
Okay, but you started that.
I like you. A lot.
You're not gonna lose me literally or figuratively.
Unless you put tracking software on my cell phone again.
I won't have to break up with you, because you'll be dead.
Copy that.
Just got off the phone.
Sanchez is gonna be okay.
And those drug runners we busted,
they flipped on their bosses.
It's gonna shut down their heroin trade for a while.
Eh, bad guys always adapt.
They'll find another way to smuggle the stuff in.
This war isn't over.
We did win a battle.
A lot of the drugs won't be hitting the streets.
Given the size of the shipment we stopped
and near-future shipments of the same size,
taking into account overdose statistics,
the gang war over distribution,
and adjusting for a margin of error,
we saved 4,287 lives, minimum.
Now that's not a bad day's work, huh?
All right, I'm gonna head up to the loft
to work on that drone that we caught.
Whatever I learn,
I'll incorporate into the DEA's border defenses.
Sounds good.
So, uh, I assume that your relationship is resolved?
'Cause the intensity of today's case demonstrates the need
for constant... laser-like focus.
No distractions.
Okay, great.
What's on your mind?
You heard over the comms how great Happy and Toby were
when they were saving Sanchez's life.
They probably worked better together
now that they are together than they ever have.
I thought that we agreed on this.
We can't risk the team.
I know, but maybe we should think of Scorpion
as less of a team and more of a living organism that can evolve.
Like the cactus they used today,
it adapted to living in the desert,
it became a better version of itself.
Didn't Darwin say that to thrive you have to change?
Actually, it was a professor named Leon Megginson.
He said, "It is not the strongest
"of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent.
it is the one that is the most adaptable to change."
But Scorpion does not need to change.
HAPPY: That's right.
Uh, and that's why we're not going anywhere.
You asked us to make a decision.
Well, we decided you suck.
And for a genius,
sometimes you can really be an idiot.
Scorpion is your team.
You can make your own mistake, but we're not making it for you.
We won't quit.
You're gonna have to fire both of us.
Yeah, we're a package deal now.
(whispering): You're doing it again.
Fine, you can both stay.
I'm docking your pay.
For the cotton candy machine.
You might think I'm an idiot, but I'm not a moron.
Fair enough.
I'm proud of you.
You are allowing Scorpion to evolve.
And who knows where it will go next?
Well, I hope it works out
because, uh, adaptation is messy business.
For every success story, like the cactus,
there is an evolutionary dead end
that leads to extinction, so...
But for now, I-I guess it is worth keeping an open mind.
You really told him.
That was awesome.
I had to defend your honor.
That's emasculating.
(door opens) MAN: Hey.
I got a pair of Jet Skis for O'Brien.
Let's get out of here before you get fired.
Yep.
