RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked! (2010–…): Season 15, Episode 2 - One Night Only, Pt. 2 - full transcript

The queens take time to get to know each other after a talent show challenge, Ariana Grande visits backstage, and the first to depart lets her voice be heard before her sashay.

- I love every last one of you

no matter how much
I hate all of y'all.

If you're not star quality,
get the out of here.

- This is your moment!
Have it!

- This is "Untucked."

Backstage at the competition

to become America's
next drag superstar.

Girl, if you're not
watching "Untucked,"

you're only getting
half the story.

- Prep "Untucked" cameras
on the main stage.

- Welcome, queens.

Based on your One Night Only
performances

and your Who is She
runway presentations,

I've made some decisions.

Luxx Noir London, Aura Mayari,

Malaysia Babydoll Foxx,

Princess Poppy, Sasha Colby,

Salina EsTitties,

Mistress Isabelle Brooks,

the Robin Fierce,

Sugar, Spice,

you are safe.

Meet me at the stage.

- Queens walking.

- Amen. Oof.

- This season 15, baby.
We are here to deliver.

So first challenge
means first elimination,

and I'm very excited that
I'm not gonna be that one.

Thank you, Ru,
for keeping me safe.

- First impressions
are everything to me.

So with this talent show,
I wanted to really give

the judges insight
on who Mistress is,

what I bring to the table,

and what to expect from my drag.

And I feel like
I did exactly that.

It's the beads, honey.

They're heavy.

- Oh, my gosh.

- Being safe for the talent
show, I'm fine with that

because I think I really
came out with a bang and said,

like, this is me.

I am ready to show these girls

that you might not think
I'm a performer,

but you're gonna be entertained.

- Repo "Untucked" cameras
to the workroom.

- Queens walking.

- All right, girls.
- Hallelujah.

- Halleloo.

We've got some bubbly.

- First "Untucked."

- Take the shoes off
immediately.

- It feels so correct
to be here on Drag Race.

This was our first time
on the runway.

Now it's time to get
to know each other

and really, you know,
just size each other up.

- Cheers, ladies.
- Come on, twins.

- Malaysia, save that spot
for me, bitch.

- Who's surprised
that they're safe?

- I was a little worried.
I was a little worried.

- I was a little worried
as well.

I was bricks.

- Well, I feel like
if you're not worried,

you didn't do something right.

- Yeah.

- I think it was just my nerves.

But once I performed, though,

I really got back into my groove

because that's familiar to me.

- You were killing it.

- Actually, everyone
killed the talent show.

- I love that it was
such a variety as well.

I think everyone
really represented themselves,

which is the point
of having the talent show.

- Yeah.

- But who was, like,
your favorite?

- Anetra.
- Anetra.

You better walk that duck.

- Quack, quack, quack.

- Like, I did not expect that.

- She wasn't telling anybody
would her talent show was,

and I'm really glad
that she did that.

- It's always the silent ones.

- I need her to give us all,
like, a masterclass.

- Right.

- I think that Jax
was probably my favorite.

I was...

- With that hair jump rope?
- The jump rope.

- Oh, right.
- Oh.

- You forgot
the jump rope, bitch?

- Bitch, I have two
brain cells left in drag, okay?

I can't see anything
with the contacts,

can't feel anything downstairs.

- Can I also say for the room...

Shout-out to the twins
because I feel like people

were really doubting y'all.
- Yeah.

- You never know.

Like, you can't
underestimate anybody.

- Thank you for saying that
because

we don't have drag family.

Like, we don't have any,
like, drag friends.

- Well, welcome to
the family, bitch.

- It feels great hearing
the girls hyping up

our performances because they
were being really skeptical

and kind of harsh on us.

It feels nice to be
validated by your peers

and to get that support.

- Literally, after the
first day, I went to Sugar.

I was like, oh, my God.

They casted a bunch
of mean queens this season.

This isn't gonna be good.

- You thought I was mean, bitch?

- No, not you. Not you.
- Okay.

- Well, no, I think it
was just... you know,

when drag queens
walk into a room,

like, we're like a bunch of dogs

smelling each other's asses.

Like, what's gonna go on?
- Right. Yeah.

- But it turned around quickly.

Like, I love all
of y'all, seriously.

- I also feel like there's kind
of this, like, unspoken, like,

stigma in, like,
the drag community

about people who are, like,
really big on social media.

Like, that must be the
only thing that you do.

But the way I see it is,
like, social media

is kind of like
a walking résumé.

It's like people will
book you because of how

you look on social media.

- I feel like people
hear social media,

they think, oh, you just post
pictures and look pretty.

- I think the thing with
the social media queens

is that people have
been doing drag for such

a long time in the real world.

We have the expectation
of how queens should be.

So we want to know if what
you're doing on social media

can translate to the
reality in the real world.

Can you perform?
Can you engage with a crowd?

Can you captivate a room
with being an entertainer?

- Can you tell me the tea
about you and Miss Amethyst?

- What tea?

- Take your sip.
Take your sip.

- Take a big gulp.

- Take your sip.

- Rolling, rolling.

- We have the expectation
of how queens should be.

So we want to know,
can you captivate a room

with being an entertainer?

- They must have
captivated something

because they're here.
- Exactly.

Exactly.
- So then I sat there.

And I was watching the talent...
I'm like, okay.

- Yeah, they were like...
Y'all were some of the more,

like, entertaining acts
of the night.

- Can I just say,
shout-out to Sasha Colby?

Because, bitch,
your final number...

- I had chills. I really did.

- It's like you just
put so much, like,

life, like, in your face.

It's, like, so, like, powerful.

- Yeah.

I like to use, like,
my art and drag

as ways to, like,
work myself through trauma.

And the trauma that I was
working through with this is,

my father
had early onset dementia.

He was always a great guy.

And then I grew up with a mom
that was very erratic

and very hard to love.

So that was kind of like
the black and white of me

dealing with, like, the trauma,
the generational trauma.

And the one thing that always
pushed me through all that

is being queer and finding
my strength in being queer

and my queer family.

So that's what
I was working out.

- Well, you did it.

- It was very empowering.
- Thank you. Thank you.

- I'm... I'm so happy I can be
on a cast with you to, like,

get to know you and see what
makes you this legendary,

iconic being, bitch.

- First of all, legend is
just code for old, so...

- I don't think so.
I don't think so.

- I'm curious to know
who knew who

because the only people I knew...

I met Sasha on the street
of WeHo for two seconds.

- Yeah.
- Yes.

- So I knew Sasha
because that was, like,

my drag mom's best friend.

I knew Irene because she
used to be from Houston,

and that's my
best friend's drag mom.

Where I'm from, like,
when we're backstage,

we read and cut the up.

They're be like,
Mistress, you fat

kitten heel-wearing bitch,
you look the fool.

- You do love
a kitten heel, bitch.

- You have such a banter.

- We read the ones we love.

- Miss Robin, be honest.

Were you gagged when there
were other Connecticut queens?

Or were y'all kind of already,
like, speculating?

- No, I was gagged, but I did
think that I was gonna be

the only Connecticut queen.

- Okay, wait.

Can you tell me the tea
about you and Miss Amethyst?

- What tea?

- That there has been some...
- Take your sip. Take your sip.

- The girls were kiki-ing,
honey.

- The girls were kiki-ing.
- Take a big gulp.

- Take your sip.
- Take your time.

- Take your sip.

- There was a time that

me and Amethyst dated
for a short time.

For a short time.

- Wait.
So, like, you dated Amethyst?

Were you both doing drag
at the same time

when, like, you were dating?

- I met Amethyst
out of drag first.

- And then you saw her drag
and broke up with her.

- No, the thing is,

Amethyst is a very bad texter
and communicator.

And I'm also very busy.

So we just never really,
like, lined up.

And I'm like, okay.

- Oh, the girls are here.

- Oh, they're here!

- Ladies!
- Diva.

- Okay, I see some smiling
faces.

- Okay.

- Marcia Marcia Marcia.

- Come on over.

- Hi, gals.
- Hi, ladies.

- Hi.
- Welcome.

- Hi, babies.
- Oh, my God.

How was it talking to Ariana?

- The feedback for everybody
was actually,

like, really, really useful.

There were some really,
like, bomb-ass critiques.

So congratulations
to Marcia, Jax, and Aisha

because they slayed
the challenge

and honestly got such
incredible critiques.

Cheers to those three ladies.

Cheers!

- Cheers even though
I don't have anything.

- Now, what's the real tea?
Who's in the bottom?

- I'm... I'm in the bottom,
for sure.

I'm really known for, like,
one thing back at home,

and that's my comedic timing.

And that was my... that was
my big critique tonight.

They just wanted the baby
at the butt-end of the song

as the big reveal at the end.

But I'm... I'm determined
to slay the lip sync and...

- I mean, you look amazing, so...

- But also... if you had to say,

who are you
lip-synching against?

- I really hope
it's not my sister.

- Lucy.

- They love my drag.

They just said that what
I did was underwhelming.

And that hurt
a little bit, you know?

- Oh, bitch.

- Well, I mean,
more specifically,

they were saying,
we just wished you, like,

moved around the stage more.

And had you, like, did the
song like a lip sync,

you could have been
really big physically.

And that to me was what
stood out about your critique.

- If you are confident
in what you did,

I think that should
be a win in itself,

that, like, I went out there,
and I did something

that I was confident with
and I stuck to my guns

and I felt really
strong about it.

And you looked, like, really
gorgeous, so, like,

that should count for something.

- As much as I love Irene and
what she brings to the table,

I do think it's gonna be
me and you.

- Unfortunately,
they did not connect

to what I was doing tonight.

You're gonna want to
pour yourself 2 cups of water

into a glass.

And you... just put some ice.

It's an act that
I've done at home,

and it's gone well at home.

But overall, I just didn't feel
like their interest was piqued

by what I was doing at all.

You know, I definitely think

that I'm lip-synching tonight,

which is not at all
how I expected this to go.

- May the best woman win.

- We don't know who won?

- I'm pretty positive Anetra's...

- Anetra's gonna win.
- Yeah, I think it's Anetra.

- Like...
- I'm obsessed with her.

- I'm, like, actually gagged.

Like, I didn't think that
she was gonna enjoy it

as much as she did.

Like...
- Because we all enjoyed it.

- It was very different.

- No, it was my
favorite of the night.

- Thank you.

- Can we all just
say it together?

Like three, two, one.

Walk that duck.

- Can you give it to us
once right now?

- Stop.
- Do it!

- I could never.
- She's shy.

- Oh, my God!
Oh, my God!

- Hello, hello, hello.

- Can I pet your ponytail
for good luck?

- Oh, yeah.

Oh, my God.

Literally, like... I can feel it.

- "Untucked" cameras
rolling in the workroom.

- Hello, hello, hello.

- Hi.
You were so amazing.

- Oh, thank you.

- Ariana Grande is here
in front of me right now.

- Hello, everyone. Hi.

- Like, this... this is crazy.

Like...

- Can I sit with you all?

- Yes.

- Is that... is that
against the rules?

- No. I mean, listen...

- Oh, my God. Hi.

I'm so overwhelmed right now.

- Can I ask you
a really weird favor?

- Yes.

- Can I pet your ponytail
for good luck?

- Oh, yeah. Please.

- Oh, my God.

Literally, like... ooh.

- Didn't feel a thing.
- I could feel it. Oh, good.

- You looked like
you were enjoying yourself.

You were having
a grand old time.

- Well, this is the most
important day in my life.

- Absolutely.

- Congratulations, and cheers.

I'm, like,
crashing the party because

I'm so excited to see you.
- Crashing the party?

You started the party.

- The party
just started for sure.

- Okay, good.

- Why do you have such
a strong connection to drag?

Like, what is it about drag
that you love?

- It's an accumulation
of everything.

It's just the most
demanding art form.

You have to do everything.

You're funny, you're gorgeous,
you're thoughtful,

you're talented.

It's everything in a blender
that makes people happy.

Cheers.

Cheers.

- As a person who has had
a very, like, big life change,

like, being kind of,
like, anonymous until, like,

coming into the public eye,
what is your best advice

for that thing
that's about to happen

to every single one of us?

- One of the hardest things
that you'll face

is knowing what
deserves your energy

and what doesn't
and deciding what to take in

and what not to
because there are gonna be

some obstacles and people

and energies thrown at you.

And protecting yourself
as much as possible

is just imperative.

It's hard work,
but you'll find the balance.

- Also, Ariana, I'm curious...
Can we get, like, an outfit

of the day, like, a full 360?
- Oh, my gosh.

Yes. I'm sorry.

I'm really cold,
so I put this on.

This is my...
But this is my thing.

- What are we calling this look?

What is she giving?
- Oh, God.

I don't know.
You... help me with a name.

What do you think?
- EsTitties.

- I'm sorry, queens.

I have to take Ariana back
to the main stage.

Aw.

- Curses.

- Well, I love you all a lot.

And thank you
for having me here.

And I'll see you
in a few minutes.

Bye.

- Ariana Grande.
Oh, my gosh.

That was amazing.

She is a huge inspiration
of mine.

In almost every outfit I wear,
there is a sprinkle

of her in it somewhere.

She's just everything.

- Bye. I love you.
- Bye.

- She's so cute.

- I got chills in my body.

- You're gonna be fine.
You really are.

I think you need to remember
that there is gonna be

an entire group of people
that are gonna be obsessed

with you no matter what.

- Do you think that's true?
- Yes.

- I can't disappoint
those girls.

- You cannot.

- Go out there. Do your thing.

I'm gonna fight for
that, you know?

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

- Bitch, you ain't work
this hard to leave.

- Thank you. Yeah.

- Let me just make sure
I can do my move.

Hold this for me for a second.

- All right.

- Let me just make sure
I can do my move.

- You poop on the ground?

Oh, yeah.

- Now I got my move.
- You got it.

- Speaking it into existence.
You're staying, bitch.

You're staying, bitch.

- Yeah, I'm staying, bitch.

- Bitch, go out there
and get them seven rings.

- Queens, five-minute warning.

Five-minute warning
to the main stage.

- Thank you.

- Love you.
- Okay. I love you too.

Have fun.

Be yourself.

- I am definitely going to
have to lip-synch tonight.

There is no doubt about it.

So I am just focusing
on what it is

that makes me good at what I do

so that I can go out there
and deliver that.

- Lip-synching is what
I'm known for back at home.

And I'm gonna give it my all.

I am here to prove why I'm
America's next drag superstar.

- All right, queens.

It's time to head
to the main stage.

Let's go.

- Wait. Wait.
- Just one sec.

- Bitch, if a nail pops off
because of you...

- My balls hurt.

- Girl.

- Welcome back, ladies.

I've made some decisions.

- Welcome back, ladies.

I've made some decisions.

Irene Dubois, Amethyst,

the time has come for you

to lip-synch for your life.

Amethyst, shantay, you stay.

Irene Dubois, sashay away.

- I'm devastated
to be going home.

I wanted to be here, really,
my entire adult life.

And to get all the way here

and have to immediately
turn around and pack up,

it's heartbreaking.

But just because it didn't
go the way I wanted

doesn't mean that
I'm not good enough.

- This place is a
lot nicer without all

those bitches in it.

All righty.

Oh.

Wow.

This isn't exactly how
I thought things would go.

But at the same time, I'm happy

that I got to be a part of this.

I've had this weird kind of
tunnel vision about this show

for such a long time.

Every move that I made
in drag was kind of like,

am I gonna be a "Drag Race"
queen if I make that decision?

If I buy this garment,

is it gonna look good
on "Drag Race"?

And I don't have to worry
about that anymore,

and that's kind of like this
weird, liberating feeling.

But I'm gonna miss the girls.

I think my perception
was that it

was so much about the challenges

and doing the actual race.

But I just didn't really feel
like that was my takeaway.

I feel like as soon as
I started meeting the girls,

it was just this weird like,
oh, right, friendship.

That is kind of
what life is about.

I don't really think that life
is about money or accolades

or trying to climb to the top.

It's... it's about spreading love
and, like, finding your tribe.

And I feel like my tribe
has definitely expanded.

I'm really happy about that.

A full book written
by my sweet, sweet castmates.

"I'm gonna
keep it real with you.

"You looked good.

"It's still warm out
and slayed yourself.

"Love you, Mistress.

"PS, being so serious.

"Leave me
the blonde dark root updo,

or else I will not
with you."

She's not getting it.

Those queens better make me gag

because I was definitely here
to make people gag.

So if I'm not gagging,
I'm gonna be pissed.

Oh, I do have one last drag tip

for all aspiring young queens
out there.

Brush your teeth.

Bye-bye.

We all get to choose
our own path,

and I'm so lucky
that the path I chose

has opened so many doors for me.

I don't know what's next,
but I think it's gonna be big.

I'm so excited to get to go
back to sleeping until noon.

Bye, everybody.
