Rookie Blue (2010–2015): Season 3, Episode 8 - The Girlfriend Experience - full transcript

A grad student's disappearance leads Andy and Nick to discover the woman's double life as a high-end escort. When a pattern of missing women emerges, Gail, who is physically similar to the victims, is sent in on an undercover sting operation. Meanwhile, Dov and Chris are following a different lead, and when they uncover the body of a missing woman, the case takes an even more dangerous turn. A twisted killer is still at large, but, now, does he have his sights set on Gail?

So romantic.

Uh, what was that?

I don't want to know.

Ow!

- Sorry.
- Just a nail.

- Okay?
- Just a nail.

Hey, um, maybe... maybe this wasn't

the right place to, uh, to do this. Hmm?

Your car's out back.

Yeah. Yeah, let's do
it in the parking lot.

That's super stealth.

You want to come back to my place?

I'm allergic to your
cheap sheets, remember?

Okay, princess.

How about your place? Parents
are out of town, right?

Yeah, yeah. It's just that
they're redoing the roof, and...

I'm staying at Andy's, so...

Okay.

So what do you want to do?

You relax. I'm not gonna
ask you to cuddle me, okay?

Oh. No, I know. You're not
exactly the girlfriend type.

Guys invited me for a beer at
the penny, if you want to come.

Girls won't flirt with you
if I'm there, right? Buddy?

Right, 'cause actually
hanging out isn't allowed.

Says who?

Says you, like, a million times.

You keep saying that's
what you want, so...

Then I guess I'm getting what I want.

Ew. These are so gross.

Hey.

Hey.

Hey.

Andy, why did you buy
these? Look at their...

they're zombie brides.
Look at their smiles.

I know.

You have to start practicing,
though, 'cause very soon,

everybody's gonna be watching you.

Don't. I can't even think
about walking down the aisle

and having all eyes staring at me.

Although I think I talked Jerry

into a... a wedding in
the Dominican Republic.

Really? Destination wedding?

Want to keep it small,

- but you and Sam will come, though, right?
- Yeah, of course.

Could take some vacation time,
make a real holiday out of it.

Yeah, I can't even
picture Sam on vacation.

He doesn't even own shorts.

I don't mean to be a party pooper,

but you did offer me the couch, right?

Yeah.

Well... I'd kind of like to use it,

'cause I'm pretty tired,

so why don't you take your
giggles to the bedroom?

- Whoa.
- Okay.

You are such a charmer.

Good night, Gail.

It's gonna be fun.

So the wedding's gonna
be in Dominican Republic.

I was thinking maybe we
could take a week or two

and have our first vacation together.

Great.

W... come on. We've never
been anywhere together.

I mean, we've never been to a cottage,

we've never even been camping...

We went to Sudbury.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. How romantic.

Come on. Your best
friend and my best friend

are getting married. It's a big deal.

What's wrong with City Hall?

City Hall? That's your
idea of a dream wedding?

Why do people have to get married at all?

So what do you think about me and you,

after the ceremony,

taking off on this? Hmm?

And we just sail away
under the stars, me and you.

You don't know how to sail.

How hard could it be to drive a boat?

But the last time that you
went out with the marine unit,

you fell in the water,

and the dive team had to pull you out.

Um...

the water was choppy, and
I had that inner ear thing.

You hate the boat.

I do not hate the boat.

It is very sweet and
romantic. It's just...

I don't know. I thought
we'd keep it simple.

My mom and Leo, your family, our friends.

Is that okay?

No worries.

Are you sure?

Simple is simple,

and you are the bride.

All right. Assignments are on
the board. It's change-up day.

You've all got new partners,
so get to know each other.

Keeps you more alert on the road.

And on a personal note,

I would like to thank you all
for your baby name suggestions,

but after careful consideration,

I will not be naming my child "Ninja."

Told you.

Or "Oliver."

I weep for that child.

That is your loss, my friend.

I know. All right. Dismissed. Go.

Uh, Oliver?

Yeah.

Dov and I are partners today,

but we already know each other.

Well, uh, how well do
we really know anyone?

Pretty well, you know. We're roommates.

It's true. Sometimes I do
his dirty laundry by mistake.

What's his middle name?

Bill.

T... Ted.

You put money on that?

See?

So much to learn.

I don't know about you, but I
actually completely lost track.

Those shots just kept appearing
in front of me. It was insane.

I know. I haven't had a
boilermaker since the academy.

Normally, I don't drink like that,

- but you are a very bad influence.
- Ah.

Hey.

Hello.

Collins, let's go.

Later, guys.

Bye.

So did you sleep with him
last night or something?

No. I wish.

Sorry.

You guys, like, a thing or some...

Oh, God, no. No, not at all.

You know what? I probably
shouldn't have said anything.

What?

Okay. You didn't hear this from me.

He sort of... caught
something over in Afghanistan.

Oh.

I just thought you should know.

Now it's like...

Yeah.

Okay, I gotta ask you something.

- Mm-hmm.
- Do all guys hate weddings?

I don't know. I like weddings.

Open bar, dancing, meeting new people...

Yes. Thank you. Exactly.

You know, you need to tell Sam that.

Dominican Republic's
gonna be like a vacation.

Ooh, well, a vacation...
that's a different thing.

What? What do you mean?

It's a big step... just the two of you,

no distractions... you gotta be sure.

You know,

what if all the fascinating
conversation runs out,

you're left with nothing to
say to each other? Then what?

Then you still got the beach.

Well, you always got the beach.

Unit 1509, are you 10-8?

Go ahead.

Attend 1801 King Street
regarding a domestic disturbance.

1509, we're on it.

Get out of my apartment right now.

I'm not going anywhere.
You tell me the truth.

Then I'll have security...

Tell me what happened!

- Police! Open up! Oh.
- I don't know what you're talking about!

Oh. You think I'm kidding?

- Police! We're coming in!
- How do you even know where I live?!

- I know what you do. I know what you made her do!
- Whoa! Stop! Stop.

Officer. Good.

Listen, my... my... my
girlfriend's missing.

Liz Adams. She's been gone a week now.

I can't find her, and
she won't call me back.

Did it ever occur to you that
she might not want to talk to you?

- You know where she is!
- Okay, okay, come on, let's calm down,

step outside in the hall,
have a chat, all right?

You okay?

Yeah.

All right. What's your name?

Rachel Findlay.

Look, this is my apartment,

and that man has no right being here.

Can you please make sure that he leaves?

Absolutely. Officer Collins
is gonna calm him down.

Um, Liz Adams... he said that
she was missing. You know her?

Not very well.

Okay. What do you do?

I'm a student. Um, I'm getting my M.B.A.

So your girlfriend... she say
anything to you before she left?

You two have a fight? Anything?

I think something happened, something bad.

It's Rachel's fault.
She got her into this.

Okay. Rachel. Why?

She's Liz's pimp, or... or madam.

I don't even know what you call it.

So your girlfriend's a prostitute?

An escort. What's the difference?

Liz and I have been
together for two years,

and she's been lying to me the whole time.

If this woman's missing,

you need to answer our questions.

I don't see a warrant.

You're right. We don't have a warrant...

but we can get one. It's
just gonna be a hassle.

You know, we're gonna have
to seize your computers

and all your records, make
calls to all your clients.

I think I'm gonna call my lawyer.

Rachel, your friend is missing.

Look, I don't know where she is.

She's probably out of town.

Maybe, but you run an escort agency...

Elite Companions is not an escort agency.

The girls provide
companionship. That's it.

Ohh.

Well, if Liz is hurt, and
one of her johns is involved,

then you'll be liable.

Forget liable. You'll be charged.

Liz get any calls recently?

I don't know.

She manages her own bookings.
It's all done online.

Okay. Well, how about a password?

We can start with that.

Okay, here she is. "Liz Adams."
Professional name... "Amber."

$1,500 for dinner and conversation?

And sex.

No, no, no, no. 3 grand
for an "intimate encounter."

Okay, you guys, she
hasn't been going to class.

Airlines don't have
her on any flight lists,

and there's no activity
on her credit card.

Well, that said, she could
be hiding out, paying cash.

It's a cash business, right?

We had another escort from that agency

that went missing a month ago.

Her name is Nicole Marshall.

It's one of Jerry's cases,
and it's still active.

She called 9-1-1, and
then she disappeared.

Her condo was immaculate.

There was no signs of a struggle,

no D.N.A., no fingerprints, nothing.

Nicole Marshall... last seen
a month ago... August 28.

9-1-1. What is your emergency?

There's someone at my door.

I think he's trying to break in. Please...

Okay, ma'am? Try and stay
calm. What's your name?

Nicole Marshall.

Okay, Nicole? The police are on their way.

He won't stop knocking.

I can't see who he is,
and he won't answer.

They actually look pretty similar...

blonde, long hair, fair skin.

What, you think there's a connection?

Uh, okay, guys, I have a list
of all Liz Adams' clients.

There aren't that many.

Couple of regulars, once-weeklies.

Including the guy she went on
a date with at the Archer Hotel

the night she disappeared... "niceguy76."

This guy see any other escorts?

Uh, I got a list of all his
activity, last two years.

"Nicole Marshall."

Professional name... Valentina. August 28.

We have two escorts,
both from the same agency.

Both went missing after a date
at the Archer with niceguy76.

"Liz Adams."

You traced her credit
cards, cell phone records?

Last call was to her boyfriend
before she disappeared,

and now her phone's off,
so we can't track it.

It's been a week, Frank.
The clock's running down.

So what do you want to do?

Well, the escort agency is cooperating.

We know the john's got another
booking tonight with a girl

at his favorite hotel room.

We figure we bring him in, and
we, uh, keep him for ques...

Pull her, and put me in.

Put you in?

Yeah, I mean, I fit the pattern, right?

Both girls are blonde, mid-20s.

I mean, I'm right in his snack bracket.

Peck, these are high-end escorts.

Sir. I visited every country
in Europe before I was 18.

Je parle fran?ais.

She hasn't had the proper training.

So let's train her.

We got the foxy brown of
undercover escorts in-house, right?

Hotel room raid of
'98... 7 johns arrested.

Morality squad wanted her
for months after that, right?

Okay, who are we talking about?

Officer Williams.

Noelle?

Don't make me regret this.

There you go.

Your profile is your first
point of contact with the john,

so it has to project the right image.

How about Anastasia? Or Francesca?

I'm not a drag queen.

I need something that's classy and exotic.

Ariel? Or Belle?

You're naming princesses.

Or Jasmine?

Jasmine. You could totally make that work.

All right. Jasmine's fine. Just...

eead it back to me.

All right.

"Treat yourself to a luxurious
rendezvous with Jasmine.

Jasmine enjoys sharing delicious meals

and stimulating conversation."

Yeah, "stimulating" has one "l".

Grammar counts. You
know what? I'm leaving.

All right. She is right.

These guys... they want educated women.

All right, and we need to add something.

Uh...

"Let her fill your need for the
ultimate girlfriend experience."

Girlfriend experience?

Okay, get it out of your head

that you're a hooker in a better outfit.

These are powerful men
with stressful jobs.

They wanna tell you things

that they won't even tell their wives.

Your job is to listen, make 'em feel like

they can tell you anything.
Make 'em feel like they're

the most important man in the room.

Can you do that?

- Absolutely.
- Okay, no.

No, see, that's your first mistake.

Don't try to be sexy.

Just... you have to be real.

This hard drive holds 40
hours of digitized 9-1-1 calls.

Now all of these came in

the week after, uh, Nicole
Marshall disappeared.

You two are going to
listen to the calls...

all of the calls.

We're looking for patterns,
new evidence, anything.

Now most of the calls
are gonna seem unrelated.

And if not, they're a prank.

All right, but there is no skipping.

Absolutely no skipping.

You are going to listen to every
single call in its entirety.

Are we being punished for something?

Police officers, aren't you?

Yeah.

Well, this is what police officers do.

Give me a chip there, pal.

Thank you. You're not gonna need these.

Oliver?

What?

You're a john. You're a
client who's booked me.

I am?

Yeah. Sit.

All right.

Hi.

Hi.

It's nice to meet you.

I'm Giselle.

Hey, Giselle.

And, uh, you are...

Peter.

Okay. Peter. Peter what?

Peter...

Peter... Parker.

That's funny.

Um, but I don't know. I...

you look more like the kind of guy

who was named after his grandfather.

I was named after my great-Uncle... Oliver.

And are you a family man, Oliver?

Three girls.

- Three girls?
- Mm-hmm.

Wow. So you must have your hands full.

You know have no idea, Giselle.

Ooh, I am the oldest of four girls.

I have a pretty good idea.

I, uh... well, I share
the load with my wife.

Actually, my wife does all
the work, and she knows it.

You know what?

What?

We're all just doing the best we can.

Sometimes we get lucky, and
the... people we're with...

they understand and support that.

Wow.

You still got it, Williams.

Mm-hmm.

Wow.

Point is, make a connection. Make it real.

Got it?

All right. Let's get your picture taken.

9-1-1. What is your emergency?

I was at an antique fair down in Caledon,

and I saw that young lady who
was missing... Nicole Marshall?

I'm positive it was her.
She was bidding on a trunk.

They were calling it a Jenny lind,

but there's no way
those buttons were brass.

Can you describe the woman?

Mmm, she had red hair.

Oh, one moment. There goes my teakettle.

We're taking calls from
the antique roadshow,

and Gail's going undercover
with her new boyfriend.

It's okay if you're not over her.

Look, just 'cause you're not over sue,

doesn't mean I'm not over Gail.

You have a different girl
in your bed every week.

Sometimes you don't
even change the sheets.

Only when I don't have time.

All I'm saying is it's okay.

Look, sometimes the only way to
beat quality is with quantity.

Okay, so we're all set.

Niceguy76 liked my profile.
Dinner at the Archer, 10:00,

and he even booked the penthouse suite.

- 10:00 P.M.?
- Mm-hmm.

All right, well, we don't
have time for a warrant,

so we won't be wired for audio.

The best we can do is
tap into hotel cameras.

Are you sure you wanna do this tonight?

If he wants to meet tonight, I'm ready.

I mean, why would we give
him a chance to reconsider?

Let's do it.

Noelle?

She says she's ready.

Okay.

All right, you're not
a cop. You're an escort.

You won't be armed,
so if anything happens,

spray this in his eyes and
get out of there. Got it?

Uh-huh.

Sure you're ready for this?

Absolutely.

I can do this.

Guys, I'm sorry. My hands are tied.

My clients do have an
expectation of privacy.

We only have cameras down
here. There are none upstairs.

You must get a lot of these
ladies coming through here, huh?

Maybe. I don't know.

Could never tell who they are.

Really?

Let me help you. They're drop-dead.

They arrive alone.

They leave alone a few hours later.

They come back again and again.

I mean, there's that.

These are the girls you
guys make all your money on.

Can't arrest two people for having dinner.

And we're hardly going to
follow them up to their rooms.

Why don't you show me your security setup?

You bet. Right this way.

Gavin.

You're the only one that
knows we're here tonight.

Of course.

This'll work.

Yeah.

Yeah. This'll... this'll be just fine.

Hey.

Hey.

You look amazing.

Thank you. So do you.

Okay, so a car's gonna
take you to the Archer,

you know, so you make an entrance.

Jerry wanted me to remind you

that there has to be an exchange of money.

So as soon as you guys get up to the room,

you know, make sure he pays you.

Okay.

Uh, when he does,

you need to call room service

and order a bottle of champagne,

'cause that's the signal for us.

Okay.

Me and Nick are gonna
be there the whole time.

When you guys are coming upstairs,

we're gonna be in the hallway.

- I know.
- Okay.

What's up?

Just, I don't have earrings.

Oh. Pfft. Take mine.

- Here, seriously.
- Thank you.

I don't need them. They'll
look better on you anyway.

Here.

Okay, what do you think?

It's gonna look great.

- Perfect girlfriend material? Hmm?
- Yeah.

Hmm? Hmm?

- Are you nervous?
- It's okay.

It's fine. Use it. I
mean, it's a first date.

- You should be nervous.
- Yes.

- Look, this is the coolest part
about being undercover.
- Mm-hmm.

The more real you are, the
more they're gonna buy it.

- Okay.
- Look, the car's here,
so I'm gonna meet you there.

All right.

Thank you.

She's on her way in.

Here we go.

Let me guess.

Appletini.

I don't like fruity drinks. Tequila.

Oh, well, you know, technically,
the agave is a fruit plant.

Oh, is that what you do? You
lecture people on alcohol?

Only people like you.

Aren't you working?

What, are you gonna report me?

Is that your tell?

What? You get nervous, you
start playing with your earring.

These aren't even mine.
They're my friend's.

She lent them to me 'cause
I'm staying at her house

because my place is being renovated,

and they're not even really my style,

but I mean, I guess they're nice, but...

I don't why I'm talking so much.

Uh...

Because he's late.

Hey.

This guy stands you up,

you gotta dump him.

Seriously.

Promise me?

Promise.

What if he doesn't show?

He'll show. He's a romantic.

Paying for sex is romantic?

He's not paying for sex.

He's paying to have peck look at him

like he's everything she
could ever want in a man.

Jerry...

you do realize that you are everything

I could ever want in a man.

Yeah. I know. I get it.

You just don't like boats.

Jerry.

Okay.

Hi.

Hi. Charlie Davis. Nice to meet you.

Hi. Nice to meet you, too.

Um, can I get you a drink?

I... actually, I've already got one.

I would love another one, though.

Are you okay?

Yeah. Uh, appletini?

Uh, appletini and a
cranberry juice, please.

So, Jasmine,

you're not what I was expecting.

Oh. Rachel said that you
wanted to meet someone new.

You don't have to be
nervous. I'm not gonna bite.

So why do you do this?

Why not?

You know, it's funny.

Back in college, a girl like you

wouldn't give me time of day,
and now I make you nervous.

Hey, no, no. It's a compliment.

Really, I mean, you're...
you're very beautiful.

- That made you uncomfortable, though.
- Why?

I... don't know.

Well, either you disagree,

which means you're very insecure,

or... you know it's the truth,

but you think it's socially
unacceptable to admit it.

I... I honestly don't know what to say.

I'm just fascinated to
know why a woman like you

would wanna be seen with someone like me.

Well, maybe you're the
one who's deeply insecure.

Now we're getting somewhere.

So would you like to see some menus?

Hey, yeah, please. Thank you.

9-1-1. What is your emergency?

Yes, hello. My name is Clarence Dodgson.

Can you put me through to
the Lost and Found Department?

- Oh, seriously, kill me. Shoot me
in the face with your gun.
- Well, I don't know.

I found this necklace
while I was out walking.

It's gold and has a heart-shaped locked.

The person who dropped
it must be very upset.

Look...

Nobody calls in to report lost and found.

Okay, just... just skip it.

No. Oliver said we gotta
listen to all of 'em

all the way through.

This is about as bad as the three people

that called 9-1-1 over pizzas.

It's nothin'. Just skip it.

Sir, if there's no emergency,
I have to clear the line.

Well, I found it on the ground

while I was walking my
dog Atticus by Moore Park.

And there's an inscription.

Just a moment. Let me
get my other glasses.

Yes, that's better. It says "Nicole."

It looks to me like a keepsake,
so I wanted to call it in.

Gold heart-shaped necklace.

That's not nothin'.

I started the business
in my parents' basement,

and, um, I had no idea it
would go so big so fast.

And it's weird being
in charge of 200 people,

mostly 'cause they want me to...

they expect me to act a certain way,

like... tough, decisive, no fear.

It's not who I am.

Kind of who they need me to be.

Yeah, my friends are like that.

Sort of see me this one way,

no matter what I do.

And the weird thing is,
it's sort of getting easier

for me to be that person.

Well... I must be getting good at it.

You wanna get out of here?

Yeah, sure.

Hey, can I have the, um,
can I have the bill, please?

Thank you.

So, uh, what floor are you on?

I am in the penthouse.

But... I thought we'd go
for a little ride first.

McNally, they're right behind you.

Yeah.

Hey, listen, nobody's in
the elevator. Where are they?

What? Hold on.

Sam, you got a visual?

What do you mean? They
just went in the elevator.

They're not upstairs?

All right, hang on.

Where are they?

Where are they?

Where are they?

Okay, come on. Come on.

Got her. There.

In the garage.

So I guess this is, uh, p3?

Sorry. I always get lost in these things.

Don't worry. I know where I parked.

Smart girl.

Okay, guys, they're in the
parking garage, third level.

Okay.

Level 3. The garage.

We'll take the stairs. It'll be faster.

Had to be the penthouse.

Ladies first.

Hey, so, listen, um,

not to be boring, but...

Yeah. No, of course.

I mean, that's always
an awkward moment, right?

No, not at all. Um...
let's get in the car first.

Okay.

Here.

Thank you.

It's okay. I'm sure you're worth it.

Now we can just relax. Be ourselves.

Um, so where are we going?

You'll see.

Yeah, it's just, usually my
dates like to go right upstairs.

Well, what's the fun in that?

I don't like surprises.

I told you.

Don't be nervous.

It's time you learned
to do what I tell you.

Niceguy76.

I thought that was you.

- Who the hell are you?
- Get out of the car.

What the...

- Get over here.
- Get off!

- Aah!
- What are you doing, huh?

What the hell is going on?

- You got a name?
- Charlie Davis.

Charlie Davis, you're under
arrest for solicitation.

What?!

- You okay?
- Yeah, I'm fine.

What are you, a cop?

I'm sorry.

So all that stuff that was
said in there... what was that?

- Shut up.
- Get off of me! I didn't do anything!

Oh, yeah?

Do the names Liz Adams and Nicole Marshall

mean anything to you? Huh?

Or maybe you know them
as Amber and Valentina?

I don't know what you're talking about.

Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.

Okay. McNally's gonna stay with you.

Quick debrief here at the hotel,

and then you can go home, all right?

Okay.

Peck.

Mm-hmm?

You did good.

All right. Let's talk with this guy.

Come on, buddy.

You know, I've had this for a while.

I still can't figure it out.

You must be good with this.

You're a computer programmer, right?

Yeah, I bet you know your
way around the Internet,

how to be untraceable...

invisible.

Well...

well, modern technology. It is amazing.

You're still human, though,
aren't you, Charlie, hmm?

Funny thing about people...

they're creatures of habit.

Like your thing, apparently, is blondes.

Liz Adams.

Nicole Marshall.

Beautiful girls, Charlie.

They're expensive. Hmm?

So let's start with Liz.

You were with her last
Monday night, right?

Yes, I was. We had dinner,

and then we went to my hotel room,

and then I went to the
Mercury until 3:00 A.M.

You can check my credit card.

I spent like $800.

Yeah?

What's up?

- You're not gonna believe this.
- What?

- Guess who just walked in.
- Who?

Meet Liz Adams.

Liz. We're very happy to see you.

What's going on?

Your boyfriend filed a
missing persons report.

He reported me missing?

Why?

Where have you been all week?

I went to a b&b in Niagara.

Why was your phone off?

Drew and I had a fight.

I needed a little time to myself.

Okay.

Did your john do that?

What are you talking about?

We talked to Rachel Findlay, Liz.

We know about Elite Companions.

Could you come with me, please?

Do you know this guy?

Liz?

We're not gonna arrest you.

We just need some information, okay?

It's Charlie.

He's one of my weeklies.

Right. Can you confirm you
were with him on Monday night?

Yes.

Liz, with these types of johns,

the behavior always escalates.
It starts with a black eye,

and then it's something a lot worse.

What are you talking about?

Charlie didn't hit me.

It was Drew.

It was my boyfriend.

Thank you.

- So, Mr. Dodgson...
- Division 15.

You called 9-1-1 last
month about a necklace?

Y... yes. I... I have it right here.

I'd almost, uh, forgotten
it, uh, until you called.

Can you tell me where you found it?

Atticus and I do our
walking in Moore Park.

I found it by the back.

Where exactly?

About 30 feet past a blue shed,

there's a fallen tree.

I found it right there,
o... on the path by the tree.

Moore Park... could
be potential dump site.

Yeah, yeah, let's cut him
loose and check it out.

Um, uh, thank you.

Yeah. Thank you.

Charlie's alibi checked out.

I kicked him on a promise to appear.

He's a free man.

Great.

Yeah, well, according to Liz,

it was her boyfriend who hit her

after he found out what
she was doing for a living.

That's why she left town.

You think she's telling the truth?

I don't know. Maybe?

You know, or maybe she's
protecting the john.

I suppose that's good business.

You know, but Charlie goes home,

and he gets rid of any evidence

that could tie him to
Nicole's disappearance.

We're back to square one.

Hey.

Heard you're not coming to my wedding.

What? Who told you that?

It's the word on the street.

It's too bad 'cause I
thought you'd be my best man.

Thought you'd never ask.

All right, so this is the
thing with the best man...

he usually comes to the wedding.

Couldn't just have it at City Hall, huh?

Okay, you know what? Why don't
you just tell Andy the truth?

It's not such a big deal.
So you're afraid of flying.

I never said that.

I just hate taking my
boots off at the airport.

Okay.

What's weird is that I was
more honest with that guy

than I have been with anyone
in, like, a really long time.

Yeah, and you did great.

Sam's gonna actually pick me up.

Um, I'm gonna stay at his place tonight.

Oh, great. Now I have
that visual in my head.

I was gonna ask you if
you wanted a ride home.

No, I think I'm... I'm actually
gonna get a cab back to your place.

Hey, are you, uh, are you free? Where to?

I'm gonna go to Queen and
Carlisle in Leslieville.

Yeah.

Listen, Gail, if... if you don't,

you know, wanna be
alone tonight, I get it.

I'm okay. I'm good.

I'm just... I'm just tired.

And it's gonna be really nice
having the place to myself.

Okay. You have your key?

- Yeah.
- All right.

See ya later.

- See you tomorrow.
- Bye.

Bye.

Thank you.

Uh, hey, it's me.

Um... so, you know, I'm on my own tonight,

and I'm at Andy's, and I was
just sort of thinking maybe, uh,

maybe we should talk.

And I... I know it's
been a really long day,

but, well, Frank gave me tomorrow off,

so, uh, just, uh, call me.

So what is your middle name?

Ezekiel. It means "strength of God."

Okay, wait. So your full name means

"bear with the strength of God" Epstein?

Yeah. Guess it does.

Hey, there's the blue shed.

It's gotta be around here somewhere.

There's the tree.

Creepy out here.

Yeah, maybe you'll find
your next date here.

You know what? You're right.

I'm not over Gail, okay?

But she's with Nick now,

so what else am I supposed to do, right?

That's okay. Hey, you're moving on.

It's normal. But, uh, maybe just
try to move on a little slower.

We got really thin walls.

Dov, come here.

Hey, Sam, uh... I'm still
waiting at the hotel.

You know what? It's a really nice night,

so I'm just gonna walk. Bye.

I... I left you a message that said

you didn't have to pick me up.

The truck just drove itself over here.

I think the alignment's off.

Oh, right.

I got Gail's full statement.

Um, whole conversation, the exchange...

It can wait.

We had to cut the guy
loose about an hour ago.

What? Why?

The missing girl, Liz Adams...

it turns out she wasn't missing.

She, uh, she just went on holiday.

She showed up at the
station about an hour ago.

What, so this whole sting operation...

I mean, Gail going
undercover as a call girl...

everything was for nothing?

I really wanna see you tonight, and I...

I want you to come over to Andy's.

So how long is Peck staying with you?

- Couple of days.
- Okay.

I guess till her parents come back
from a conference in New Zealand.

Uhh!

You want me to take you home?

I mean, Gail had a tough shift.

Maybe I should be with her.

Aah!

Aah! Ohh!
