Rescue Special Ops (2009–2011): Season 1, Episode 3 - Fire in the Cross - full transcript

Jordan's best mate Willo is implicated as a suspect in the death of crime boss Sam Jenkins shortly after Dean and Lara rescue Sam from his firebombed nightclub. Things are not helped when Jordan sleeps with Willo's girlfriend Chelsea and Willo finds out. Elsewhere, a bet between Dean and the Fire Brigade's Jake Hudson over Lara exposes their naked rivalry in more ways that one. Meanwhile, Vince separates from his second wife.

someone else found him first.

- [Dean] So, this is the guy
that stabbed Jenkins, yeah?

- Yeah, turf war.

Brownie wanted the crown.

- So who killed Brownie?

- Good question.

Watch stopped at 3:13.

- There's no obvious signs
of rigor or lividity.

- Until the coroner says otherwise,

we'll mark that down as the
time of death last night.

Thanks, guys.

All right, guys, pack it up.

- [Dean] Jordan, you're with me.

Hey.

What's going on?

- What's going on?

- Jordan, I saw the look on your face.

You know that guy.

- He might be someone I've seen
around Cronulla, that's all.

- Mate, I didn't drag you out
of a burning car just to watch

you go wandering back to
your drug-running mates.

- You know, I wondered how long

it'd be till you used
that against me, Dean.

I don't owe you, mate.

You were doing your job
when you rescued me.

- That's not the point, Jordan.

Do you know how many people
want to be a part of this unit?

How many guys wanna do what we do?

- What, so it's nothing
more than a competition, eh?

Who's got the biggest dick?

- No, it's about respect.

And if you lose that,
you're no good to anyone.

So if you know something
about this, speak up.

- I don't know nothing.

(upbeat music)

- So this Brownie guy killed Jenkins?

- Make you happy?

- Well, nips it in the bud
any suggestion from upstairs

we were negligent with our
duty of care, doesn't it?

- Get the big lecture from the suits?

- It's all about public perception.

So I'm thinking a refresher course

on protocols and procedures.

- All right, that's me, I'm out of here.

- I'm keeping them as ransom.

Give me my kids back or the fish get it.

- I hope that works out for you, Vince.

(upbeat music)

- Guys, check this out!

(Heidi laughs)

- Whoa, yeah!

Yeah, come on!

(man whistles)

Ah, yeah, yeah, righto, righto.

Come on, come on, Michelle!

Michelle!

Darlin', look at me!

Yeah!

Got an opening? (laughs)

See ya!

- What was the bet for this time?

- Ah, thank you!

See you.

- Had you worried, didn't I?

- Not for a second.

- Bye!

- You can wash the trucks.

- Absolutely.

- Have you seen Willo?

- [Jordan] I was hoping he'd be here.

- He's not answering his phone.

There's a rumor Brownie's been murdered.

- [Jordan] It's true.

- No.

Jordan, you've got to help him.

He was out with Brownie last night.

- Well, then, he's got to go see the cops.

- No, he can't.

- What?

- He knew how I felt about Brownie.

He came on to me, I told
Willo about it yesterday.

He went ballistic, Jordan.

(upbeat rock music)

- [Dean] Can I help you, mate?

- Yeah, is Jordan about?

- Yeah, he's just in the gym.

- [Vince] Isn't that the guy
the cops are looking for?

- I came to say goodbye.

Chels and I are heading up north.

- When did you last see Brownie?

- Oh, give it a rest, mate!

I'm out of your hair, okay?

- When did you last see him?

- Early.

He headed off to the Royal,
I pissed off home, okay?

You satisfied?

- Home?

- Yes, home.

About midnight.

- That's bullshit, mate, you're lying.

- Oh, piss off, Jordan!

You may as well join the cops,

your head's so far up your arse.

You tell me where you were last night.

Who were you with?

Prick.

(Jordan and Willo grunting)

I'll kill you!

- Hey!
- Hey!

- [Willo] Get off me!

- [Dean] Take it easy.

Take it easy, take it easy.

Settle down.

- All right!

What the hell happened to you?

- Me, what happened to me?

You killed Brownie!
- Oh, piss off.

You think I'm capable of doing that?

- Just go to the cops.

- I already did, mate, they got the guy.

If that's the excuse you need to sleep

with my girlfriend you've
got no excuse at all.

See you later, mate.

(somber music)

- Willo, Will.

I got it wrong.

- Yeah, you sure did, mate.

- [Jordan] Chels?

- I'm sorry, Jordan, it was a mistake.

(upbeat music)

- Zoe, I've been looking for you.

Zoe, hey!

Hey, I just wanted to tell you

you were right about my partner.

He was in trouble.

Look, I just wondered.

He's into this girl, Chelsea.

- [Zoe] Uh-huh.

- Do you think that she's maybe the girl

that you, you know, saw?

- Instead of you?

- [Heidi] Uh-huh.

- [Zoe] I'll tell you what I do see...

- Zoe Martin?

You're under arrest for
supplying and trafficking

a prohibited drug namely heroin.

- Heroin, that's got to
be some kind of mistake.

- No mistake, she worked for Sam Jenkins.

- Yeah, but as a barmaid.

- And heroin trafficker.

- A girl's got to eat.

Not much money in futures.

- You're not obliged to say anything,

unless you wish to do so,

but anything you do
say will be taken down.

- Do you think she's the real thing?

I mean, maybe I could give her a call.

- Don't they have IQ tests
to get into Rescue anymore?

- Yeah, Vince, some of the things

she said to me were bang on.

- If she was really
psychic, don't you think

she would've seen her arrest coming?

- Yeah, I thought about
that, and she explained it.

She can't control what she sees.

- Very convenient.

You off?

- Last phone call done, yes.

- So, the bouncer Elijah killed Brownie?

- Yeah, retaliation for killing his boss.

Loyalty for you, isn't it?

As I said.

- Fancy a meal?

Spag bol at my place.

- I'd love to, Vince, but
I've made other plans.

Oh, I forgot my reports.

- Detective.

- Vince.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

It's tough going through a divorce.

- Well, yeah, you'd understand.

You've caused a few in your time.

- Okay.

Ready?

- You bet.

Take it easy, Vince.

(Vince grunting)

- Mexican, who bought this shit?

- [Dean] Jake sent it over.

- [Heidi] Serious?

- It's like wee-wee with bubbles.

- In return for not distributing this.

- Oh!
- Whoa!

(Heidi laughs)

- Oh, come on, put it back.

- Oh, come on.

You got to admit he's
got a pretty nice butt.

- Put it away, come on.

- Hey, did I ever tell you
about that paintball contest

we had with the fireys in '99?

- Uh, not today. (phone rings)

- Hold on.

Emily.

Emily, hi, darling.

Oh, that's good.

Yeah, no, just a sprinkle will do.

No, they're only little.

You don't want to blow them up.

That's it.

I love you too, darling.

Yeah, you dream about
the fairies, night-night.

(wistful music)

Anyway, the fireys.

They'd cheat on their mother,
those blokes, you know.

We were at a complete disadvantage.

- I was there, I was there.

- They had managed to play
with the firing mechanism.

- [Dean] No, no, no, no, no.

I didn't have a box in that day.

I took one square in the Jatz Crackers.
