- [Dean] That your idea of a thank you?

- Thank you, now I owe you.

What, what?

Don't you have a job to do?

Come on. (firefighters laughing)

- [Lara] How's it going up there?

- (laughs) Better now you're here.

- Not a bad view, eh?

How'd you end up here?

- Well, the front security
door locked with the blackout,

so I thought it'd be easier to climb

up and over the balcony.

(laughs) I'm very stupid.

- So much better to risk your neck

than wait for the power to come back on.

All right.

Okay, I'm gonna grab you.

- Yeah.

- You got it?

- [Chase] In the service

- [Woman] Any more quotes?

- Get that out of my face.

- But you agree with what
we're doing though, right?

- Look, I'm too busy for this, okay?

- This isn't good.

- [Jake] Where do you think you're going?

- Back inside to find Callum.

- Something about things

- And what did you take that to mean?

- Climate change causing
more natural disasters.

Dean, any luck?

- [Dean] Negative, we've
swept the third floor east.

It's empty.

- [Michelle] Vince, I'm sending Lara

- What are you doing here?

- Did you find him?
- Rescue four.

- What do you know about this?
- None of this

was supposed to happen.
(Chase shouting)

We just wanted to make our case.

No one was actually meant to get hurt.

- Look, Jordan, forget the

We need monitors, defib, drugs, now.

(glass shattering)

- Go, go, go.

Where's the woman gone?
- I don't know.

- Where's Mrs. O'Reilly?
- I don't know.

- Hey, stop there!

Stop that woman, please.

No, don't go in there!

Rescue coordinator, rescue one.

Vince, the boy's mother's

- [Dean] Rescue two, copy.

(tense music)

(winch whirring)

- Come on, Jordan, you ready?

- [Jordan] Got one.

- Okay.
- All right, clear.

Shocking now.

- He's not dead yet.

- 17, 18, 19.
- Adrenaline's in.

Clear.

Shocking now.
(defibrillator zapping)

(winch whirring)

Nothing.

- Come on, come back.

- [Jordan] Clear, shocking now.

(defibrillator zapping)

Okay, patient's reverted.

We got a normal rhythm.

- Door's clear!

- Okay, let's get him out of here.

Chase, spine board.
- Rescue five

to rescue coordinator.

Our cardiac patient has reverted.

We need an ambo to get him out of here.

I'll meet them at the entrance, over.

- [Vince] Anne, Anne, can you hear me?

It's Vince from rescue special operations.

Can you hear me?

Anne? - Anne, Anne?

- [Lara] Anne?

- [Vince] Lara, I need your help in here.

Anne, it's Vince Marchello.

I just want you to breathe
normal when I put this on, okay?

Just breathe normally.

Okay, that's it. (Anne coughing)

- Callum, Callum.
- Come on, Anne.

That's right. (Anne whimpering)

- Did you find him?

Is he okay?

- We haven't found him yet, but we will.

Put this mask on and we'll help you out.

There you go.

Righto, I'm taking this mask off

as soon as we get in the air, here we go.

Just breathe normal.

- You're gonna be okay, mate.

- You wrecked my car, bitch.

It's my car.

I want your name.

- Heidi Wilson, and I saved your life.

(elastic snapping)

- And that's all she said, you know.

They hadn't meant to hurt anyone,

but they planned the whole thing.

- The power goes, the best bet is

the oil used to cool the transformers

in the substation was initially sabotaged.

So there's a power surge,

transformers heat up,
the oil ignites, boom.

- So it wasn't deliberate or anything.

No one set a bomb off.

- Nobody's off the hook
until Callum gets found.

- His mother didn't last
too long in the smoke.

Callum's been in there
almost twice as long.

- Right, we found his
fireman's helmet right here.

- Could've gone down those stairs.

- Yeah, but they only
go to the next level.

- Yeah, we checked there already.

- [Vince] You said he was
wearing a fireman's helmet?

- Yeah.

- My youngest one loves police cars.

He almost toppled off our
balcony, trying to see one once.

What if Callum went somewhere
to see the fire engines?

Up there.

(tense music)

Go, go, go.

- Lara, peel off to the right.

Cover the other side.

- This way.

- [Dean] Here, here, here.

Callum!

- [Vince] Got the young bloke on the roof.

- Callum!

- Callum, mate, stay there.

- [Dean] What do you want to do?

- Let me.

Hey, Callum.

It's all right, mate.

It's all right, you're not in trouble.

My name's Vince.

I'm a paramedic. - Yeah.

- Your mum asked me to come
and find you, and here you are.

Just stay there, stay there.

Hey, can I have a look too?

Stay there, stay there, stay there.

That was a clever thing you did, mate,

getting away from the bad smoke, eh?

Up here on the roof. - Yeah.

- [Vince] You see the firies
down there, the firemen?

- No.
- No?

- Look further, see that?
(sirens wailing)

You see all those lights, hear the sirens?

Well guess what, see those fire trucks?

I know all the firemen.

You want to go for a ride in a fire truck?

Guess who else is down there.

Your mum, she really wants to see you.

Come with me, hey, hey.

Come on, gentle, gentle.

Come on here, very careful,

- Hey, Callum.

How you doing?

- There you go.

- Gotcha, mate.

Alrighty, hey.

That was exciting, wasn't it?
- Yeah.

- Got all your fingers?

You're not hurt anywhere?

- He wants to go ride in a fire truck.

Maybe a rescue truck too, eh?

- Come on then.
- Go on, mate.

- High five. (upbeat music)

(Lara cheering)

- Callum!

(crowd applauding)

Never leave me again, okay?

- [Flynn] So I see you
found your missing boy.

- [Lara] How do you know?

- Front row seat.

So listen, I was thinking
burgers by the beach.

Dinner if you're single,
and lunch if you're not.

- I'm into sunsets.

- [Flynn] Perfect, we can discuss

what you have for breakfast.

See ya.

- Who was that?

- No one.

- That's a lot of blushing for no one.

- All right, it's the
guy from the apartment,

the one I rescued.

- Spreading your wings
quickly, aren't you?

- Yeah, I am.

- Where are you going?

- Off to see a guy about some ropes.

(jaunty music)

(Lara knocking)

- [Officer] Hi, can I help you?

- Um, hi.

- I have been calling you people forever.

Power's on one minute, off the next.

On, off, on, off.

Go outside, they say.

Meanwhile, someone burgles my home.

- I just came to get my ropes.

- So you didn't ask to see his ID.

- He was injured, I was busy.

- Not enough to stop him
knocking off the owner's jewelry,

and who knows what other residents.

- What now?

- Pray she's insured, for starters.

- You'll have to give
me an incident report

and then you'll have
to talk to the police.

- I've already given the police

a description and a statement.

- [Vince] Hey, check this out.

- [Woman] Do you have any
idea how much pollution

every single item in that
place puts into our atmosphere,

and you just want to steal more of it?

- [Young Man] What's she talking about?

- The planet's dying, you numb-nut.

That's why the power got
turned out, to make a point.

- [Woman] You think what
ECO's done is worthwhile,

makes people listen?

- I suppose.

I don't know, if it gets the
message across, yeah, why not?

- Even the government's own employees

are turning against them.

Until the corporate bullies responsible

for this destruction effect
immediate and lasting change,

you'll be hearing from us.

We're not done yet.

We have support.

- Oh great, one of our team

is sympathizing with a terrorist,

the other is aiding
and abetting criminals.

(phone ringing)

Chantelle.

Hello, Chantelle.

Yeah, no, I can explain.

Uh-huh, all right, got that.

- How bad was it?

- Well, apparently we're
doing a very good job,

but our little miss ECO girl

is one Caitlin Kelly, MP's daughter.

- And what's that supposed to mean?

- Handle with care.

- Hey, anyone for a beer?

I think I've had enough of
ECO loonies for one day.

- Yeah.

- Daintree Forest, Franklin
River, Sandbar Lunes.

- You actually said that, didn't you,

that you supported them?

- Yeah, but...

- Was she pretty, this eco-terrorist?

- If it was the chick he
was talking to earlier,

then yeah, she was.

- I was blinded by her hotness.

- [Heidi] Yeah, I bet you were.

- Heidi, you complete your
sweep of the northern wing?

- Yeah, it's all clear.

I didn't see anyone.

- Hey.
- Hey.

- Look, I, look, I couldn't help

but overhear about the whole...

- What, me becoming an
accessory to a burglary?

- You weren't to know.

- Come on, I know you've
got some joke about it,

so just get it out so we can move it.

- That's it.
- Really?

Thank you.

- Although I did think that burglary

was more of a third date thing, you know?

But that's what I like about you, Lara.

You always move fast.

It's good.

I must say I'm curious
about what's gonna happen

on the third date, you know.

What, a little bit of
champagne and some felony?

Maybe some larceny before bed?

Maybe larceny in bed, huh?
(phone ringing)

Gallagher.

(tense music)

Yeah, which building?

Yeah, we're on it.

Don't pack up yet, kids.

Cries for help in a a lift shaft.

Halogen lights, let's move on.

Lara, grab the oxy saw

Come on, come on.
- Hey, hey, hey.

What's happening?
- Elevator rescue.

- All right, probie, grab the ladder.

- We can handle this, okay?

- You know what, not as well as us.

And whoever we rescue shouldn't...

- Since when?

Come on, let's go.

Heidi, you take the fire stairs.

- [Jordan] Hey, what are you doing here?

- I fell and hurt my leg.

Hey comrade, I could do with a hand.

- [Heidi] Why are you here?

- [Caitlin] You'll see.

- [Jordan] What that supposed to mean?

This is rescue three.

We've got a casualty
here, possible fracture.

Gonna need a spine board.

- Power's been back on 38 minutes,

long enough for people to feel safe

and start using the elevators again.

Chase, Heidi and Jordan are
treating an injured patient

in the fire stairs between
levels four and five.

Grab a spine board and get in there.

- [Chase] Yeah, copy that.

- You watch who she
lets into the building.

- The guy broke in from the balcony.

- Yeah, with a little helping hand.

- What'd you do, you bad girl?

- Come on.

- [Heidi] Trouble just follows you around,

doesn't it, Caitlin?

- The lights were out

and I was running down
the stairs and I tripped.

- [Heidi] Why were you running?

(Caitlin screaming)

- Oh, we got a fractured tib-fib.

She's gonna need morphine.

Here you go, suck on this whistle.

This'll help ease the pain.

- Splint, lift.
- Lifting.

- Right, Jordan, she is pretty
for a total pain in the ass.

- Alrighty, grab this first one, Lara.

- [Lara] Yeah.

(tense music)

- Hello! (Dean knocking)

- Hello! (Lara knocking)

- [Man] Hello?

- In here, guys.

- Hello!
- Yeah, we're coming.

(electricity buzzing)

- [Dean] Rescue two, power's back up.

Lara, chalk up those doors.

(elevator rattling)

- Lara!

(Dean groaning)

- I knew you'd come and save me.

- I knew you'd get caught.

(electricity crackling)

- Well, there's a first
time for everything.

- Power's back down again.

What's going on down there?

Lara! (Dean knocking)

(laid back music)

- [Jordan] Caitlin, you gotta tell us

what you're doing up here.

- Just finishing what we began.

- You said something about
things getting a lot worse.

What did you mean?

- Just the lights.
- What lights?

- [Heidi] Is anyone
else in danger, Caitlin?

- We're all in danger.

Do you know how much electricity

a place like the shopping
center uses every minute?

Enough to power about 1500 homes,

all of it generated by...
- Yeah, we get it, okay.

- Would you tell her important this is?

(tense music)

- Get that board up here, mate.

- Caitlin, you could always request

an energy-efficient light
bulb for your prison cell.

How does that sound?

(Lara groaning)

- [Dean] Right, Lara, we're trying to open

the doors from out here.

- [Lara] Okay, yeah, I'm
trying from the inside too.

- Do you need a hand?
- No.

I do not.

You hurt?

Cut's opened up.

You know, you're even sexier
trying to open elevator doors

than you are climbing buildings.

- Very funny.

- Do you believe in fate?

- No.
- Come on.

Thrown together twice in one day,

that's gotta mean something.

- Yeah, you're incompetent
and I'm unlucky.

(Lara groaning)

Hey.

- [Dean] How's everything in there?

- Yeah, all right.

I got a patient bleeding from
a leg wound, but he's fine.

- All right, well, it's a bit risky

to take him out this way.

We'll have to extract him from above

or wait 'til the power's back up.

- Righto.

- You all right?
- Yep.

- All right, easy.
- Whoa, hey.

What are you doing?

- You could've very easily
fallen down that shaft.

That's me saving your life.

You'll get that out to
the boys, won't you?

- Yep.
- Yep, that's us done.

Even Stevens.
- Rescue one to rescue two.

- You are a goose.
- Yep.

- The power company insists

it's a minor hiccup you got there, Deano.

Just some surges as they redirect.

You'll have the power on

in the apartment block
within an hour, over.

- [Dean] Yeah, copy that.

- Hi.

Hi. - Hello.

- Um, I'm a bit out of
practice at this, so.

I asked around and they
said you were single.

Anyway, um, thank you for Callum.

Bye.

- Still got it.

- Yeah, seems I do.
(Michelle chuckling)

- Not quite burgers by the beach. (laughs)

- I warned you to stay off it.

You just couldn't resist, could you?

Robbing that little old lady.

- Oh come on, it's a victimless crime.

They get their insurance,
I get a lifestyle.

No one gets hurt.

- I could lose my job over this.

- Fair enough.

So what do you like for breakfast?

- I don't eat breakfast.

- Brunch?
- Nope, not brunch either.

- Lunch?

- I'm not talking to you anymore.

- Dinner?

(electricity crackling)
(gentle elevator music)

So what now?

- [Officer] All right, so what happened?

- [Lara] I came across him in the elevator

and I treated his wound.

- Are you free next week?

- Are you?

- Well you see, I know this
great beach to hide out at.

Perfect sunsets.

I could take you there.

Come on.

- I don't know what he's on about.

So he might be a little bit
high from the medication.

- The thing is, Nicole,
I sort of promised Chase

that he could move in.

Yeah, that would be crowded.

Yeah, no, we'll talk about it, we'll talk.

- What do you think of our message now?

- What message?

- No coal is the future.

(Heidi laughing)

We are the future.

(laid back music)

(gentle music)

(upbeat music)

(Heidi growling playfully)

- There you go.

- Hey guys, the second floor
of the shopping center.

Did anyone catch the price
of the discounted plasmas?

- Night, everyone.

See you tomorrow.

- Night, Michelle.

- Hey Oscar, it's Daddy.

What are you doing?

Good work today, mate.

What are you watching?

Lion King, it's a great film.

Love you, mate.

Yeah, yeah.

- Hey.
- Heya, Nic.

- Hear you're moving out of home.

- No, no, Dad's is fine.

Cheap rent.

- Oh, sorry.

- See you later.

- If you didn't want me to move in,

you should've just said.

- I'm sorry.

- It doesn't matter, whatever.

Pizza? - Yeah, sure.

- No, you know what,
actually it does matter.

Why don't you want to live with me?

Okay, I'll see you later, Dean.

- Hey, see ya.

- See ya.
