with Snowy forever and ever!

My wish is to be a Pokémon Master!

[Kiawe] And my wish is for Marowak
to be in the best of health, too!



-[Lillie] Sorry, you can't see it anymore.
-[boys] What? No way!

-But I took a great picture of it!
-Those aren't shooting stars.

-They're Minior.
-Minior?

They’re Pokémon that live in space.

-You know all about them, don’t you?
-I guess so.

Actually, class, the reason we’re all here
is so we can observe the Minior.

It's quite a rare opportunity,
so watch them closely while you can!

-[all] Right!
-[Ash] This is going to be awesome!

Hey! Molayne!

-[Molayne] Kukui! Soffy!
-Ah! [chuckles] Big Mo!

-[Molayne] Nice to see you, Soffy.
-Sophocles, weren’t you talking about him?

the Hokulani Observatory

on Ula'ula Island to observe Minior,
but just what kind of Pokémon are they?

[Popplio and Snowy munching]

[Kiawe gasps] It's so vast, and so deep!

So this is the mystery of space!!

-[Kukui] Now, Ash...
-Ah!

-Just wait your turn.
-Aw, man.

That’s right.
Lana's next and then me and then Lillie.

-[Ash] Huh?

[Lana] Me next!

Aren't you going to look, Sophocles?

I've only seen it a million times.
Right, Big Mo?

Soffy has been coming here
since he was little.

I've even become friends with a Minior.

-And my Minior friend’s right over there!

[Kiawe] Another mystery of space?

If that’s its shell,
the Minior lived inside of it.

-[Poipole laughs]

-Now, that’s an unusual Pokémon.
-[grunts]

-It's called Poipole.
-Wow.

-Stop it right now!

[Pikachu and Poipole grunt and groan]

-Pika!
-[all gasp]

[Togedemaru squeals happily]

That’s a relief. It's a Magneton!

-My Pokémon partner.
-Togedemaru!

-Magneton!
-[squeals]

[all yell]

-What happened? Are you all right?
-[all groan]

-Magneton!
-[Poipole squeals]

-[Ash groans] Feels like pins and needles.
-Pika? Pika?

-Pika, Pika! Pika, Pika!
-[Pokémon gibber]

-They're so pretty!
-Steenee!

-Snowy, that constellation is Ninetales.
-Pika?

-Huh? Ninetales constellation?
-[Snowy squeals curiously]

I see it! Know what?
That’s the Pikachu constellation!

-[Pikachu] Pikachu?
-[Ash] That's the Poipole constellation!

[Poipole] Poipole. Poi! Poipole!

[Kiawe] I've never heard
of those constellations.

Huh? Well, that’s what
they look like to me!

[Lana] Over there! It’s Rayquaza!

-Or stars that look like it.
-Oh, yeah. I see it. I see it!

Hey, everybody!
Let's go and see the Minior!

Go and see the Minior?
Can't we see them from here?

Actually, when the Minior come down
from the sky,

they fall toward Starfall Hill,
over that way.

-Oh!
-So it begins.

-[Sophocles] Come on, hurry!
-[Ash] Right!

Poipole.

-Pika!
-Huh? Hey, where are you going?

[gibbers happily] Poipole!

Poipole? Poi?

[squeals happily] Minior!

Poipole! Poi! Poipole! Poi! Poi! Poipole!

-[giggles]
-Poi! Poipole.

-Poipole!
-Pika?

So awesome.

[chuckling]

And they're all Minior!

[Rotom] Minior. The Meteor Pokémon.
A Rock and Flying type.

Minior has a heavy, hard shell
and an internal core.

After it sheds its shell,
it becomes light.

-I see. So that's the Minior's core.
-Correct. Minior inhabit space.

[Molayne] They eat dust, which eventually
becomes the raw material for their shell.

That’s what makes them heavy,
so they fall!

-Precisely.
-[all cheering and gibbering]

I know about that!
I read about them in a book.

But they're so much prettier in real life!

[Lana] They’re land stars.

[Molayne] Their color also comes
from the dust that the Minior eat.

[Kiawe] Next time, I’ve just got
to bring Mimo to see this! Oh!

Ah! [gasps and chuckles]

[thinks] It was beautiful last time, too,
when I saw them before.

-Pika!
-Poi?

Are they going to go back into space?

But shouldn't it be, you know, floating?

Maybe it's trying to break free.

No prob! I'll help you out.

No, don't! Trying to prematurely remove
a Minior's shell by force

will result in a huge explosion!

It's too dangerous for it to be out.
Let's bring it with us to the observatory.

-[Ash] I'll help carry it!
-[Kiawe] Me, too!

[Sophocles] The same thing happened to me.

[Ash and Kiawe] And lift!

-[Ash and Kiawe grunt]

That's weird. I can't remember
what happened after that.

[Ash grunts]

-[Mallow] I don't know about this.
-[gibbers]

[all] Who’s that Pokémon?

[all] It’s Minior!

[Minior] Minior! [giggles]

Looks like the weather will be clear.

Hm. Perfect weather for us
to have a great view of the Minior.

[laughs] I just hope everyone
has a good time.

Hey, Kukui, Just how much of Minior’s
behavior are you intending to reveal?

Every last bit of it. They'll be coming
across all kinds of new Pokémon.

I think having a broad knowledge of the
Minior will be a good experience for them.

-Where are they now?
-Still sound asleep.

[all snoring]

[Ash and Pikachu snore]

[Poipole screams]

-What's going on?
-Man, that’s loud!

What's up? Is that Poipole?

-The cracks are getting bigger!

-It’s out!
-This Minior has an orange core!

[giggles]

-[Molayne chuckles]

-I was wondering what all the fuss was.
-[Mallow] So the shell finally cracked!

They shine so brightly,
even in the daytime!

-They are land stars!

[Orange Minior squeaks in curiosity]

-Poipole!
-[giggles]

[gasps and squeals] Minior!

[all scream]

You just made Minior pretty angry!

-[Mallow] Is that Minior?
-[Lille] It’s so well done!

Poipole loves to paint
and is quite good at it!

[Orange Minior gibbers curiously]

-Poipole...
-[giggles]

Wow, they made up! Good for you, Poipole!

[all laugh]

-[laughter]

-[Ash] Yeah! Whoa!
-[Poipole giggles]

-[Ash laughs]

[grunts]

[Kiawe] How is that possible?

[laughter and cheering]

What's the matter, Soffy? Don't feel
like playing with everyone else.

Mm. There's this thing
that's been stuck in my mind.

Mm-hm. I remember meeting a Minior
long ago,

but I can't remember
what happened after that.

[Maloyne] Oh.

-Steenee!

-Pikachu!
-Poipole!

[laughs and grunts] Huh?

Huh? [grunts and groans]

[groans]

-[groans]
-Turto...

[Poipole and Minior giggle and gibber]

-Poi! Poi! Poipole!
-Wow, they're best buddies already!

[Poipole Minior gibber]

Hey! We're going to have lunch!

Great! Let's go, Poipole, Minior!

[Poipole and Minior gibber]

[all munching]

[all] Looks delish!

[munches]

Mm! This is great!

-Poipole! Poipole?
-[all] Mm!

I wonder if Minior’s going back
into space soon.

Probably. I really hope its friends
fall down like last night.

Tonight’s the peak time
for Minior falling.

I think you'll be quite surprised
at the sheer number of them.

Sounds awesome! He says a lot of your
friends will be coming down! Great, huh?

Minior!

-The colors. I can’t wait!
-You’ll see.

[Mallow] It’s so exciting!

The Minior you met when you were little,
did it go back with its friends?

You know, I can't really remember.

[Ash] Oh, that’s okay.

-[Mallow] It's almost time, right?
-[Lana] It's starting.

[all gasp and giggle]

-It feels like I'm inside a star shower!

This is nothing like the shell
we carried before.

Yeah, you're right.
I wonder why it's so fragile.

Minior sustained themselves
by eating the dust floating in space.

They utilize it to build their shells.
It’s quite important.

I think I mentioned that before.

Mm-hm and they fall to the ground
when their shells get heavy.

Correct and as they fall,

most of the shell burns up
little by little in the atmosphere.

By the time they land,
they're mostly nothing but core.

[Kiawe] So the reason they're fragile
is they've been burned up?

So what about that Minior?
The one Poipole’s good buddies with?

It's rare, but sometimes a Minior
with an especially hard shell will fall.

-[Sophocles] Big Mo?
-Huh?

Well, I finally remember what happened
to the Minior that I made friends with

and it’s kind of sad.

Poi! Poi! Poi! Poi!

[giggles] Ah!

Poi!

Poi?

Wow! The Minior are going back home!

Poi?

Huh? The Minior who lose
their shells eventually disappear.

Aren't they going back into space?

[Minior giggles]

[Sophocles] It was
such a sad moment for me

that I sort of just forgot it
for all these years.

[sobs and wails]

[sniffles]

Hey, Molayne, can't we help them out
somehow?

That Minior has become a friend!

This is what naturally happens
with the Minior.

Poi! Poipole! Poipole!

-[Ash] Poipole?
-Poi! Poipole!

Poor Poipole. Professor Kukui?

We should remember
we had good times with Minior

and keep that memory within our hearts.

Hm.

[sighs]

[Minior squeals]

-[whimpers]

-Huh?

-[all gasp]
-[Ash] Rayquaza!

-[Lana] I saw it. The real thing!
-[Mallow] Amazing!

-[Lillie] So beautiful!
-[Kiawe] It came to see the Minior off!

[roars]

Rayquaza’s a Pokémon from space, remember!
